Some of their products are defective, and they didnt offer any return. Unfortunately for me I returned the product and they didnt give anything (just lost the money)

Stocked with many high quality kitchen essential tools and more! I came specifically to look for a spider strainer and a straight rolling pin/dowel and they had both in stock with varying sizes. They even had a variety of round and oval bannetons and 5 different shaped bundt cake pans in stock to name a few. Ill definitely be coming back to support small, local businesses and for any last minute kitchen needs.

They have ALL the essentials, and right here in the heart of Ballard. This is my first place to look for any kitchen item.

Good selection of items, but generally are overpriced and staff isnt the friendliest. Decent place to go if you want to see something in person to help make a purchase decision.

Great little store for browsing, they have a good selection of culinary tools as well as quality local souvenir items. The stuff that I looked at was very good quality. This is a good shop if you are looking for a hard to find item or looking to get a gift for a hard to buy for chef.

Lots of nice merchandise. Cool that they have a kitchen set up for people to sign up for cooking classes. I think they said it was 65 bucks for a 1.5 hour class.

Fun night with great food cooked right in front of us. Learned so much about Indian cooking spices. 20%off all purchases that night.

Not hugely impressed with the service of one salesperson; very gratified for the assistance of the other.I went in today to grab two things that a specialty food place SHOULD stock, and only came out with one.The younger person behind the counter was very helpful once asked where the items were. However, there was a woman of a certain age whose role seemed to be do nothing but stand and talk with other woman, ignoring completely the other four people in the store standing nearby asking for help in a badly configured layout.I heard far more about medical issues and doctor appointments than I ever needed to, especially from a woman who seemed to be unable to move from her conversation at all, even to ring up the customer she was talking with. Its a shame; this used to be a great little place to pick up the odd cooking specialty item, but now it seems like the attitude of half the staff is to ignore anyone and dump the actual work on the other half.

Culinary Essentials is a cooks dream come true. When you walk into the store, you cannot help but notice the lavish kitchen and bar in the back where classes are taught. Gorgeous is the word! Everyone should go into this store just for the experience even if you do not cook. Customers can take classes and learn a multitude of things and purchase cookware, or beautiful home décor. I was very impressed with the home décor.
