The real deal for Chai tea!Everything about The Chai Spot screams authentic, with traditional crafting of drinks and a wide variety of tea on the menu. While drinks take a little longer to make because of this, we loved ours and would highly recommend this spot. Plus, the balcony outside looks out over the whole Tlaquepaque shopping center, so you can enjoy a nice view while you wait! Definitely dont pass up on this spot!
The Chai Spot is a sweet & simple place with a cozy, welcoming decor. The term chai originated from the Hindi word chai. In English, this spiced tea is commonly referred to as masala chai, or simply chai, even though the term refers to tea in general in the original language. This establishment knows how to make a fantastic chai. This is one of my favorite places for a cup of delicious chai!! Highly recommended! I am all in for supporting female owned and minority owned business! Love the concept, love the cultural appropriation but this place is not authentic! It is to cater to the non Indian and Pakistani taste buds. I was hoping for a hot soul soothing cup of cardamon chai but it was filled with fennel! Who does that??!?!?!
Absolutely delicious range of chai teas! Yes a little expensive, but its in an expensive area and HALF the profits go towards supporting women in Pakistan. The area is gorgeous and the patios are just perfect. Comfortable, free wifi, and a good amount of seating. I took some remote classes here and it just could not be beat!
My wife and I throughly enjoyed our morning here! We got the traditional and coconut rose chai, both were great but we both liked the traditional one slightly more. We got a handful of the pastries (dipping them in the chai is fantastic) and sampled all the Turkish delights! We sipped our chai on the Juliet balcony in the morning, reminded my wife of her time living in Peru!
Amazing place. The taste of tea is amazing with a very nice setting area. I recommend all people pass through Sedona to visit it and try their stuff. I’ll definitely have to go back again.
Really good chai cafe with a legit little Pakistani auntie serving them up. 50% of the profits go towards education projects in Pakistan, which is awesome.
Love everything about this place! We met the owner who is super sweet. She explained that a portion of their proceeds helps empower underprivileged women from Pakistan. The decor is so beautiful and cozy! The chai was delicious and served in jars covered with gorgeous embroidered sleeves. Perfect place to enjoy your tea and just unwind.
A must-stop spot in Tlaquepaque arts village if you are visiting Sedona. Family owned boutique chai spot where 50% of the proceeds go towards upliftment of women in developing nations. You can find a variety of chai, biscuits, and miscellaneous artsy wares for purchase. Their patio is the perfect place to relax for a long or short time to catch a break in the middle of your Sedona adventures !!
Beautiful place. Friendly staff. Wonderful tea shared under the cool shade of the patio. Would come here again.
Unique experience. The owner contributes some of her profits back to the tea plantations she sources her teas from. A funky and fun place to take a respite and enjoy some creative Chais.
It’s a must to do in Sedona. Located in a small village a the entrance of Sedona. The spot is cute, well decorated and peaceful. The chai is pretty authentic, and many options are available for different experiences. It’s a small place, can be crowded during spring or fall seasons.
Expensive and small portions. I wish they had more menu options. The sitting area is very nice though.
Very cool place, the drinks were great and the cushion patio area is a great spot to hang out and read for the day.
The employees were really nice! They have coconut milk as a dairy free option :) The chai tea wasn’t too sweet and was pretty good. So were the cookies! The place also has a small shop and they have beautiful things there! The prices aren’t bad as I’d rather pay for tea at a local place than Starbucks.
Great place to have the original indian chai...this place has very cool and quirky ambiance. The menu is limited to four or five kinds of tea but all of it was great.their coconut rose is a must try
If you like Chai you will love the Chai Spot !They serve a special family recipe for Chai that is delicious. The atmosphere of the spot is quite charming and laid back, cushions and pillows along with low benches to relax and sip chai to the sounds of the Tlaquepaque fountains, and listen to the Birdsong coming from the surrounding Majestic Sycamore Trees.
Really good chai tea place. I loved the decor and the seating. There is outdoor seating both at the entrance and at the exit of the place. Inside, there is a small shop where you can get some decor items.
Okiesh. Decoration is good, but looks quite old now.. tea was good.
This is one of my favorite places in Sedona. The butter Chai is the best!
Merchandise was definitely overpriced, but I definitely appreciated the South Asian representation, especially in that location. Also, because of the fact that the owner is Pakistani. A lot of people are biting off our culture calling it boho & hipster, so I appreciate authenticity. Down to the Bollywood music
Really nice spot, but the Chai isnt actually Chai its made with premixed powder.
Truly surprised to find such a wonderful chai joint in Sedona! I had heard about Chai Spot in New York and was delighted to find it in Sedona.Very glad to see authentic clothes, bags, table covers and other goods directly from rural communities in Pakistan being sold in Sedona. There are different kinds of milky Pakistan tea offered at Chai Spot, and its definitely worth a visit to relax- especially in the beautiful outdoors gallery space.
Loved the place! Its beautiful and sell best Chai in town.
This place is so cute!!! They have a simple menu and they do it right. Super friendly staff. Wonderful experience and for a good cause! I wanted to go every day I was in Sedona!! Great little spot.
They were just about to close, but the staff welcomed us in anyway. By the time we paid, the drinks were ready to go -- and delicious!
My new favorite spot.Staff could chill on the mask thing, they tweak out if you even take it off for a second, but I loved the spot and that they support Pakistani kids.Chai was very tasty, could use a few more options for us dairy allergy people though
I had Sulemani Chai (hot) and it was one of the best Chai I have ever had. It was a perfect balance between tea, spices, sweetness, and warmth.👌
Chai was okay. Customer service was not great. The guy insisted that I have milk or coconut milk in my chai. I don’t like either options but finally caved in and said yes to a splash of coconut milk because he kept insisting I had to choose one and it wasn’t premixed into the chai.
Very nice place excellent servicesRose chai tea it is the best I have ever had, so I strongly strongly recommendThank you so mucho for letting me used your phone charger really appreciate! Thanks to you I was able to book my transportation back to the Hotel! God Bless you!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
So so cute! Incredibly delicious tea’s! I can’t wait to come back!
Authentic and delicious tea. As a Pakistani myself I can tell you it’s hard to come by proper good chai like we make in our house. But this place hits the spot. It’s delicious and made with love. The cardamom tea and Kashmiri pink chai are on point. The rose tea was my first time trying and a bit disappointing. Tasted like I was drinking rose water.Great ambiance and very friendly staff. The others guests were also kind and chatty and it was an overall fun experience and great place to relax for a bit. You can hear the birds chirping and the water fountain flowing. This is the epitome of what a chai place should be. It is a gem in a very unexpected location. I wish they had one in every major city.Well decorated and comfy seating. Great place. A bit pricy but that’s because they donate 50% of every sale to helping women’s literacy in Pakistan.
The butter chai is actually kashmiri chai. Very authentic in taste and color.
Love love love .. chai is amazing !
So strong! Delicious. Love sitting outside and relaxing! ☕️
Great ambience. Decent chai and good Indian music.
Such a refreshing oasis in sedona! Their menu is limited, but each of the iced drinks were delicious!
Gross. I didnt know it was possible to make chai taste bad. I paid over $7 for a crumbly biscotti and a tiny cup of chai. I was really disappointed by the serving size until I tasted the tea and realized I was never going to be able to drink it. It was a murky grey-brown liquid that tasted like a brew made from a bunch of used coffee filters. Not exaggerating. I almost never leave reviews but this was shockingly bad.
Really nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. But the chai is much too sweet, sickeningly to my families palette. They can adjust the hot chai sweetness but not their iced chai. A note to the owner please create a no sugar or low sugar iced chai beverage.
Cute little spot. Lady working was so kind and patient. Chai was amazing as were the cookies. We will back!
Great flavors and they called us on the phone when the order was ready so we could wait wherever.
Cute little dog-friendly spot. I was not a huge fan of their iced chai tea. Too much of a cardamom flavor for my taste. The lady working there was so friendly. They have a neat little gift shop as well.
I loved this place. It is paradise on earth! I am so appreciative of having the opportunity to sit on the patio cushions, the sun shining down on the market place below, playing sweet tunes on the guitar and sipping on delicious chai that was prepared with love! I tried to go back for a second round during our short trip to Sedona but could not make it!!! The staff was amazing! Bless these people for putting such a great spot together. Ill be back
Cute little place with nice variety of desserts
What a gem to find in that commercial part of Sedona. It was so cute, refreshing and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in their recommendations. I was super pleased with my Butter Chai and little treats to go with them!! Loved the view as well!! One of the best parts of my magical trip to Sedona 😁🙏🏼☕
Amazing butter chai and cookies. We have to stop by every time we are in the area.
When they say best homemade chai tea youve ever had they aint kiddin!
A little oasis in the middle of a shopping village. Perched on the second floor mezzanine, it has two porches that overlook the lively, music filled square below. With cushions, benches, and a little library, its the perfect place to take a break from window shopping and refresh yourself with a chai tea. The chai was delicious and the international snacks on display were tantalizing (they had a few samples out during my visit!). Sweet place.
Delicious chai and very friendly atmosphere, I always stop by everytime im in Sedona, love love this place!
Love spotting desi places in American neighborhoods - especially those that embrace their desiness as much as this place does. The vibe is relaxing and very welcoming. They also donate part of their earnings to Took off a star because the chai itself was milky and weak, in my desi opinion.
Delicious Chai and lovely atmosphere. Paid $15 for two dixie cup drinks. Would be worth the cost if the sizes of the chai tea were bigger, but it was still a nice vacation treat.
My family drove from the south rim of the grand canyons to have chai at the chai spot. I had heard great things about the chai and the mission behind it was the biggest motivation to come here. Youth development in Pakistan, an extremely thought about and much needed initiative. Will support any business which supports this. The place was beautiful, the entire market place a treat to explore. The chai was phenomenal, we tried Butter chai, Cardamom chai, and Coconut Chai between my family. We dipped the cake rusks (biscotti) in the chai and it tasted like heaven. The shop is very cute, had a lot of other arts and crafts selling in the shop, I even bought a little necklace for myself. Would recommend everyone to try.
Went twice during our visit to Sedona. Lovely place and lovely people!
I think this place is overpriced and overrated. I had coconut rose tea and my co-visitors had cardamom tea and none of us felt that it’s worth paying such a heavy price nor does it have the actual authentic taste. The ambience is great and it’s located in the heart of Sedona.
Delicious chai, awesome hangout spot
The Butter Chai was the most note worthy experience I had in Sedona!
Beautiful outdoor seating and good tea
Dont advertise something you dont have. If you are looking for the coffee that is pictured on their official website, with price, photos and details of the delicious ingredients, it doesnt exist as of 12/2/18. I went on a 7 mile hike and all I could think about was rewarding myself with a small treat and was annoyed and disappointed that they didnt have the drink. No, they werent out of stock. They simply decided to advertise their only coffee drink before they were planning to serve the first cup.
One of the few places that hit the right spots with their authentic Indian/Pakistani chai and snacks. With amazing views - nice seating - good people. A definite go-to for anyone visiting Sedona.
Hang out there and relax or grab some tea, maybe buy some jewelry? Very cool place
Charming store, tasty chai! Cant wait to read the owners book.
Excellent cardamom chai from a well-traveled chai drinker! Such a cute shop. Friendly staff. And how amazing is it that a % of their profits goes to a great cause!
Best Chai I have ever had.Had the Traditional.
