Let me start by stating that I did owe a balance and it has since been paid in full. I never once disputed that. I did call and email to get clarification on the last invoice in question but my real intention was to discuss with the owner (John Muzny) or his wife (Marlana) their unprofessional treatment of me.As most Texans, I had damage to my home as the result of the winter storm in February of 2021. I contacted Sequin Canvass, spoke with Marlana to get an estimate, and they arrived 02/24/2021. I agreed to their estimate and paid a $500 deposit. They took a sample of my canvas awning and I asked them to match it as close as possible. A month later Marlana emailed me asking for me to pick a color. I’m not sure why she made this request since I had already asked her to match the sample they took, but I was more surprised that it took a month for her to make the request. After I had chosen my color, Marlana told me that she would call me to schedule installation. She didn’t say when she would call to schedule but just that she would call. I waited 2 weeks without receiving a phone call, so I called them back. Again, Marlana said she would call me back to schedule installation but this time she said it would be within a week. I didn’t hear from her the following week as she committed to, so I called again. This cycle repeated itself for 3 months until I was finally scheduled for installation on 06/30/2021.On the day of installation (06/30/2021), I was given what I thought to be the final invoice which I paid in full. I asked for a paid invoice and was told it would be emailed to me. They emailed the invoice but I specifically requested a “paid” invoice. I needed a paid invoice because the expense was covered by my home owners insurance and this is what they requested. I sent numerous emails specifically asking for a paid invoice and never received it through emails. Eventually, I did receive the paid invoice on 09/20/2021. It took Marlana almost 3 months to deliver my request of a paid invoice which sent via USPS.In the meantime, between paying the final invoice on 06/30/2021 and finally receiving the paid invoice on 09/20/2021, I received an email on 07/28/2021 that I had a remaining balance. I again reached out to Marlana on numerous different occasions through emails and phone messages to clarify the remaining balance. Again, I never disputed the charges, I was just requesting clarification. I admit that I did not immediately pay the balance. This was because I still had not received my paid invoice and I would pay the balance once I received it.When I received the paid invoice on 09/20/2021 in the mail, I noticed that there was an incredibly rude note written on the invoice. Marlana never returned my requests to discuss my request to clarify the remaining balance. Instead, she wrongly assumed I was disputing the balance which I was not. On 09/23/2021, I made another attempt to reach Marlana and she returned my call that day. I could immediately tell by her tone that she was in confrontational posture. I just wanted to clarify the final balance, I was not disputing it, and most importantly I wanted to address her rude note. Marlana went off on a 3 minute tirade which had nothing to do with the reason I had called. I did not interrupt as she was lecturing but waited until she was done to tell the real reason for calling. Once she realized I was more concerned about her unprofessional conduct, she tried to talk over me which I would not allow her to do. This just frustrated her to the point where she hung up on me.I am open to continuing our discussion in regards to their unprofessional and rude business conduct. They know how to reach me and I hope to hear from them but based upon their dismal customer service, I doubt I will.Oh, and read number 11 on their other Google reviews. John Muzny (the owner) gave himself a 5 star rating. It makes you wonder just how many of their other reviews are from family and/or friends.

We were very pleased with the work done on our boat seats and would highly recommend John and his crew. His staff was very friendly and did a first rate job at matching materials and even finishing a piece of carpeting for the deck for us. A sincere and happy thank you to all!

Spent about a hour with John reviewing our patio house plans anticipating to order three custom shade sails for over our pool. John said he would contact us within two days with plan and estimate. One week later I called for update, John wasnt in, person took message to relay to John. Same thing happened every day last week even after I requested for someone else to assume order. Today is over three weeks with no word from John or Seguin Canvas concerning our order. We will gladly take our business elsewhere.
