These guys are the BEST! Customer service exceeds my expectations. The customers there even help you decide and figure out the best course of action from rods reels and tackle. Ive purchased a custom lami glass rod and shimano bait casting reel. Countless lures, plugs, diamond jigs etc. You can count on this shop to help you out. Love them! Wont go anywhere else!

This is one of the best shops around. Family owned and operated. They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I came in with a new reel I need spooled up and a rod tip repair I thought I needed. The guys told me I was good with what I did for the repair. He tested what I had did for the repair to show me I should be good. He could have sold me on a repair I didnt need but did not. To say they are good people is an understatement. Also besides the great staff they have pretty much everything from surf to fly fishing. If you going to fish Smith Point Beach or near by Carmans River. Stop in and check out what they got.

Best tackle shop on Long Island! Staff is super friendly and helpful to the beginner all the way to the professional angler. If fishing or day tripping at Smith Point, you must stop in to Smith Point Bait and Tackle for all your fishing and outer beach information and needs.

Walked in and said I didnt know anything, but my 7 yr old son wanted to catch snappers. They set up our rods, told us what to use and how, and showed us where to go. We followed the instructions, and my son caught two snappers in less than an hour. It cost us $13.99. If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Really great folks.
