Walked into this location stood in line behind guy trading in like a thousand games. I was trying to pick up an online order and wasnt sure if there was just one spot to pick up or if all cashiers could give me my already purchased product. Waited 10 min before the other 2 associates who werent doing anything asked if they could help me...REALLY. then I asked is this the only line for pick up he said any of us can help with that....after 10 freaking minutes thanks for the info. After the acknowledgement I was out the door in 30 sec. Thanks for expeditious attention.

I had a quick question about a game. Decided to call. No one picks up even after multiple calls. I figured they were busy with guests... totally get it. I live close so I decide to go into the store to ask said question. I’ve been there several times and the assistant manager is on top of it. Acknowledged, asks if we need help, everything you’d expect walking into a GameStop. I get there and there’s two people working and one guest in the store. Ok, someone could’ve answered. I walk in and ask a question about a game coming out soon. “No midnight release due to covid” cool I get it, no biggie. Could’ve got that answer over the phone. No offer to preorder or anything either. I’d rather drive to New Lenox GameStop for my gaming needs. I’m at least greeted and treated with respect there.

I had to buy my 8 yr old a new Xbox One controller because heaven forbid he miss a day of Fortnite Mayhem 😅. I called the store and spoke to Scott who informed me the store was open max of 5 occupants in store, mask required. He informed me of the different styles, color, and prices. He notified me of the delivery at door option and gave me the item number for the controller. I ordered online and I was able to pick it up within the hour. When i arrived i called to pick up he met me at the door promptly and with such a positive attitude. One happy 8 year old, Scott thank you for being a lifesaver for this busy mom.

Im not a gamer but the customer service is pretty good. Very helpful to me and my 8yr old. I had a question on some trouble we are having with the headset and they gave us a few options to try. Very good of them.
Had a less than great experience with an online order and got a massive amount of help from managers Scott and Linda, both went extremely out of their way to help me eventually get my issue resolved.
Bought a new controller and it was broken when I opened it. Expecting a brand new controller in the box I did not get a warranty. They will sell you broken items and not take them back! Terrible. Never going to GameStop again.
Game selection is good but employees are over bearing. Constantly bombarding you with questions while in store. Then at the checkout as well. Do you want this? How bout a warranty? Rewards member? No? Why not? Just give me your phone number! Seriously.... I just want to buy my game and leave. Ill ask you if I need help.
This is one of the friendliest Gamestops I have ever shopped with.They have a very professional team that try to do what they can to make sure the customers are happy when they leave the store.I really enjoy this store location and recommend shopping with them.

This GameStop location restored my faith in the company! Despite having many issues with GameStop online and corporate as well as bad experiences at other stores, I will keep returning to the Shorewood location! They go above and beyond for their customers. Tyler, the manager was extremely helpful and friendly. He took care of my initial concern and even followed up about my issue! (lets be honest, no one does that these days). If you go in the store I hope you are blessed with the opportunity to meet M. Hes a ray of sunshine! Very helpful, friendly and knowledgable! This store exceeds my standards of any retail store ever! Wonderful staff! Excellent job Shorewood GS!

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. When I had a question about a game they had all the answers. They had great deals and great displays. I greatly appreaciated their help in finding me the best headset for my console.
I only shop here when they have a game Im looking for in stock or on sale. I rarely go just to browse. Theyve always been nice to me never had a bad experience.

Weve has some problems here but not major ones. I think its dumb that they give you 20 cents and then turn around and sell it for 20 bucks. On the good side, ive bought all my consoles here and never had a problem.

One of the smaller GameStop stores Ive ever been to. Selection was small for every item in the store. Certain days the employees are very nice but most had a vibe that the workers are scalpers and all the good Pops!/ Funko items and anything worth value items probably never make it to the shelf. Plus if you have a Gamestop account and get the $5 per month discount, this store DOES NOT HONOR THIS!!

Went to pick up a game and flipped thru the sdcc exclusives pre order guide and decided to pre order a marvel legends set. At the register they tried to charge more. The employee just said oh the guide is wrong. I called the store manager the next day and again was told yes the guide has a lower price I will update the price. He didnt try to keep my business or even offer to charge me the advertized price. Horrible customer service

Some of the people there lie, i can definitely see you have things in stock, so why lie about it and say you dont have any, asian guy,, !,, Total bs specially when another clerk clearly said you have that specific item in stock.

Generally the over all experience was pretty good. I saw the previous reviews people complained about not taking a foid card as identification or the prices for used games were too high. Which is an easy fix. Dont like the store policies and prices? Go somewhere else. Or better yet, get a real I.D.My only issue that makes this place a 4 star instead of a 5 was the lack in knowledge with kid games. I bought two kid games for my son and daughter (ages 4 and 5) and prior to check out I asked do we need internet to upload a profile for the games? Both clerks said No. I didnt see anything on the packages that said it was needed so I went ahead and bought it. (Mind you, the one clerk did buy the game for her 7 year old nephew and played it with him so I thought her word would be valid).Install the kid games on my system at my internetless and wifiless household, it uploads but to play the two games you need to sign in with your xbox one profile which means a net connection is needed. I am not happy.Before anyone says well all games are like that, no theyre not. I can play Life is Strange, Black Mirror, and Skyrim without having to log into any xbox one live profile account. It seems to be the kid games that are like that like Forza Horizon 3. I was so excited to play the game with my son and nope! Need to sign in with your profile.Which isnt too bad because we will have internet soon again.I just wish the clerks knew more about the products they were selling specially since the one actually took one of the games home to play.Good store! But know your games better please. 😀
Gamestop Shorewood, IL1st left the sale signs up and wouldnt honor the 50% clearance 2nd the sign says through the 12th and today is the 12th. After thousands of dollars spent here and being a gamestop subscriber I am very disappointed in this location. The female manager just told me and my 9 year old son to leave when I questioned the sale and told me she would call the cops and I was being rude because I was asking why the sale was still up if it was over and asked her nicely to honor it. She was completely unprofessional and rude. I can not believe after 25 years in retail management that gamestop allows their manager to talk to customers like this. She refused to give me her or her managers info and when I asked for corporate number she said you can look it up yourself. So disappointed!
