Staff shortage meant my appointment might not be doable as promised (9AM appt but was told I might not get in for 2 hours). Talked with the manager for a bit and he was able to get me in fairly quick and I was out of there just after 10AM. Thanks for great service despite being extremely understaffed!

Got tires mounted balanced with an alignment and my tire pressure was, 52 psi in the front left (max psi rating of 49), 22 in the front right, 37 in back left, 32 in the back right. I have a major shake at 45 and 70 mph due to balancing and I’m getting pulled to the right very harshly from the alignment. And this took them 7 hours to get done with an appointment so you would’ve hoped it would come back perfect. I will be going back to try to get some of my money wasted back.

Thank goodness for Patrick and this place! We were in a bind after our tire blew out after driving over glass. We had just fished dropping our son off at college and had a four hour drive ahead of us. With an impending hurricane set to arrive the next day we had to get home while it was still safe. Knowing the bind we were in, Patrick made the effort to take care of the car quickly even though he was quite busy Luckily he was able to help us and we were able to travel home safely.

The manager was so professional and helpful. The store was understaffed yet they worked on my car and had my new tires on quicker than was quoted to me upon my arrival at the dealership.I highly recommend “Mavis Tire & Battery”.Sometimes I feel ignored because I’m a women requesting service fo my car yet I was not treated this way at this dealership.

Got my 2009 Honda Accord serviced here for quite some work (replacing all struts and shocks, rear brakes, oil change...). The store manage Patrick was extremely pleasant to deal with. He explained in detail the work that was needed to be done and gave a great unbeatable price! Very professional and high quality work. I would definitely recommend and take my vehicles there for service again. Transaction was very smooth and they provided option to pay interest-free for 6 months, which always helps :)

4 star because of how long it took as a waiter. I was there for almost 4 hours. However- the prices for tires are the best around. They did try to sell more services, but we have a local mechanic for repairs.I was happy with the fact that the price quoted was the price I paid- no extra fees on top of the extra fees.We will bring all of our cars here!

This was a really great experience from start to finish! I had a nail in my tire for a few weeks and work outside of business hours. I has able to schedule an appointment online over the weekend at my convenience for the next Monday. When I arrived at Mavis, everyone was really nice and very respectful of my appointment time as well! They were able to fix my tire really quickly. The waiting area is spacious and quiet with free wifi - so easy and nice to wait in. I would go back here if anything happened to my tires and would recommend it as well!

I had purchased tires from NTB before Mavis took over and I bought the roadside hazard warranty and Mavis honored that warranty from three years ago when I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I went in without an appointment and they squeezed me in and got it taken care of right away. Very helpful, very professional and very polite. This is only the latest positive experience I’ve had with them at Mavis.

I came in for a flat tire on a Tuesday. Had to order two new tires. Came in on Thursday to do the work. And they had a miscommunication and did not order the tires. I went home. Then later, Patrick called and got me two tires that were comparable. They got me in right away to do the work and took less than two hours as promised. I appreciated that! As a business owner I must say that store manager Patrick went above and beyond for us. We were doing a job 45 mins from our NH base. We got a construction staple stuck in sidewall. Awesome service! My wife has a leak in her tire and we needed to head to up state new york for the 4th of July. She brought it in Saturday morning and as busy as they were, they still for us in. Made an appointment for 4 tires and alignment. I took a day off from work for appointment. Upon arrival, was greeted by nothing but excuses. They couldnt tell me how long it would take, and to top it off, they informed me that the tires I had ordered were backordered. Then tried to sell me on some cheap Chinese knock offs.I left and drove to Town Fair tire. Walked in with no appointment, and had the tires I wanted and alignment in an hour and a half. They got me out of a jam!Dont make the mistake I made, just go to town fair tire.

Great experience with the manager and staff. I needed four new tires same day (unexpectedly because of a flat). They were able to take care of me with a last minute appointment, were up front about the wait, and worked with me on the pricing of some of the services.

I recently had two tires for my Porsche 911 4S Cab installed at Mavis Shrewsbury, MA. Two weeks later one of the tires developed a slow leak. I went back to Mavis where Patrick and his team found the time in their busy schedule to take a look and discovered a nail in the tire (just as my wife had predicted). Had an appointment to install 4 new tires at 6pm on a Thursday night. I show up and they tell me theyre really back logged for the night.... whats the point of having an appointment? They essentially tell me theyll reschedule for another day and that they would call me in 10 minutes. Never got a call to be rescheduled. Quite turned off by this experience and I guess Ill be taking my money to Town Fair Tire down the road.Edit: Looks like someone below had the exact same experience. Dont waste your time, go to Town Fair Tire instead.

I was a happy NTB customer at this shop before it became Mavis. I made an on-line appointment 3 days in advance for 4 new tires and an oil change at 2:00 PM. I actually used their site to enter my vehicle info and selected the tires. Looked like they were in stock. I tried calling to confirm, but nobody answering the phone. I show up on time and nobody behind the desk. Finally someone shows and he is having a disagreement with a customer. After 5 minutes he gets done with this unhappy customer and asks me if Im waiting for something. Not, Can I help you sir? I tell him I have a 2:00 PM on-line appointment for 4 tires and an oil change. He tells me that they may not have time for me, might take until 5:00 PM. Then they also tell me they dont know if they have the tires and that they have no oil for oil changes. I say why do you have a web site that takes appointments then? Im told well all these people waiting did the same thing. Really? I walked out and will take my business elsewhere. Waste of time. Not same as NTB was.

Had a great experience here today, I highly recommend Mavis. I went here after work for some badly needed tires and the customer service and technicians I dealt with were extremely informative and helpful. I wasnt expecting to have such a great experience, I just went here in a pinch and was pleasanltly surprised. Tried to overcharge me by 66% more than what I they charged for the same service 2 months ago. When I showed the previous invoice, the employee was out right rude and made statements like We can charge whatever we like at any time and I will unmount the tires, if you dont want to pay our price. Fortunately for me, a second employee who overheard this told the first one to match the older invoice price. He reluctantly did it and then rudely asked me to just take my wheels and leave. This is how they treat a repeat customer.Insulting! Goodbye Maavis.

I needed my tires rotated and even though they were going to be closing in about an hour, Tony, the new manager, told me to come right down and they would get it done. When they were changing the tires, two of the bolts that hold on the tires were rusted out and they got replacements for them. Tony explained to me exactly how they fix the bolts. In addition, I had a rusted out spare tire under the car and Dylan the mechanic and Tony helped me get rid of the old rusted spare and got me a replacement. They both did an excellent job getting me in and out of there quickly, especially on a busy Saturday chore day. Tony is one of the better managers that have worked at this location. They restored my trust in service there. I will gladly call them about future repairs.

Booked my appointment 2 weeks in advance while continuously responding to emails to confirm my appt for a change of my two front tires. I go to the appointment after a long day from work to find out I would have to wait 2 hrs to get serviced (I showed up 20 mins early from my appt time btw). There was no accommodation or prioritization to the appt I booked 2 weeks and it was very disappointing to just here really random excuses from the person at the front desk (Patrick?). Also had to come a different day to pickup my tires that were delivered from Amazon (since I didn’t get serviced) to the store and nobody knew what I was talking about and had to call Patrick for information, even though I was promised on Monday it will be up front for me to pickup for Wednesday. Save yourself a headache and time.

I brought my Nissan Xterra 2004 in for an oil change and for new tires and an alignment. I made an appointment for 9 AM when I arrive I did arrive close to 10 minutes early but was able to be seen right away. I explain to them what needed to be done. They came out and took a look at my car they let me know about how long it would take and I left the drop off process was friendly and simple and felt my ol girl was in good hands. About an hour after I got home I received a call from Patrick who is going to be working on my vehicle. He was calling to inform me that my shocks desperately needed to be replaced. I knew they were very old and needed to be replaced. But I figured they needed to be ordered and I could not be without my car that long. Also as someone who gets up sold a lot at mechanics. I thought to myself I was going to have to pay a fortune. Neither or those things were true. Patrick Informed me that he did have my shocks in stock and would be able to apply them today with just a couple additional hours. And the price he quoted me was fair and standard for the industry. When I arrive to pick up my car Patrick went above and beyond to explain to me what he had done and even took me back to show me the state of just how bad the original shocks were which I thought were comically bad. He did what he knew was right for my safety and the integrity of my ol girl. The staff here is extremely friendly I will not only be bringing my car back to here from now on but would highly recommend it to anyone I know looking for a new mechanic.

Mavis uses a call center to book an appt. When you get there they apologize and explain that they actually can’t take your car or answer the phon. The call center books appts with zero actually appts available. Wasted an hour of my life. I will go somewhere else.

Been coming here since it was NTB, now mavis. Delt with many managers, but have to say that the newest manager PATRICK is the best also DYLAN the mechanic is great also. I had front struts replaced on my vehicle, drove the vehicle for 3 weeks, but the struts just didnt get softer over time. So I called and made another appointment with mavis, PATRICK took the car for a ride and agreed that the struts were very stiff. With that being said, PATRICK ordered a different kind of struts, Dylan replaced them, PATRICK and Dylan took the vehicle for a test drive,then had me go for a test drive and now the vehicle drives like its on air, no more bumps, clunking noises and no more bottoming out when going over speed bumps, although the wait time was long, but it wasnt maviss fault, it was because A.P.I aka (auto part international ). They brought a wrong stut to mavis, so had to wait for another strut. Anyway the long wait was well worth it, PATRICK made up for it in terms of funds. THANKS AGAIN PATRICK AND DYLAN!

If you value your time don’t go here. Went for an oil change once and new tires another time. Even with an appointment you will be waiting hours. Front desk is polite and did give a discount both times, had the tires I wanted in stock and offered the earliest appointments compared to other stores, two stars for that. I’d rate everything else about it a zero. Also car was returned with steering wheel covered in grease.

Its disappointing to read reviews of people getting their tires replaced or patched the same day while I come in 2 hours before closing to get 1 tire patched and being told they cant do it the same day and Ill have to come back tomorrow. Whats very upsetting about my visit is the fact that I showed up and 4 employees were all sitting at the counter just chatting while I waited to get my car serviced. When I got to the counter all 4 employees got up and went to the back just leaving 1 person to help me out. The guy who served me said that he couldnt get my tire patched today and Id have to come back tomorrow because they were busy but my question to myself was how busy could yall be if ALL 4 employees were sitting around talking while the garage had 2 cars sitting in there not being worked on. On top of what made this visit a bad one was the fact that I overheard one of the employees saying that he wants to leave early so he doesnt have to close the shop at 8pm. I dont know much about cars but I do know that it doesnt take more than 30 minutes to get a tire patched regardless of the vehicle. MAYBE I came in at a bad time but perception is everything and when you have employees sitting around doing nothing and being told that you CANT get serviced for a patched tire in one day is VERY upsetting. The next day I went to pick up my vehicle and the interaction was dull and dry. I didnt feel welcomed at all from the first time walking into the shop to picking up my vehicle, I felt unwanted just by the demeanor of the employees. Im disappointed I had to give this review but no one should experience this kind of service to a franchise on their first visit. I hope this is the last 1 star review this franchise gets because no company should have a bad review based off of 1 experience and 4 employees not doing their jobs but if this is a sign of what they do at this location I would advise customers to rethink about coming here to get their car serviced at this location.
