I used this shop for the first time last week and had brake pads and rotors replaced on all four corners of my VW Golf Mk6 along with a brake fluid flush. The quality of work was good, the job was completed on time, the price was fair, and they did exactly what I asked for without trying to upsell me on a bunch of other unnecessary jobs. One of the few times I left a car shop feeling satisfied instead of frustrated! Very glad to have found this shop and will definitely come back.

I had repair work beyond an oil change. I was made aware of the required work and cost and was given a timeline for completion. I have used CJ Foreign Car Service before and my 16 year old BMW is running like new today. I will definitely return for future repairs.

Went there after an accident. They couldve charged me for a full evaluation but were honest and limited their price to a half hour evaluation since thats all the time it took. They were courteous and really looked after the customer and didnt fish for ways to charge me. Awesome place!

They are knowledgable but not clean. They do not cover the steering wheel, gear shifter or seats. My steering wheel came back so dirty with all the grease and dirt from their hands. Plus theyre not cheap at all! Very expensive for an independent shop. Theres many other places you could go instead.

My friend recommended me this place and Im completely happy with it. Continue going there even after moving to Virginia. Recently had my suspension fixed with perfect price for labor and parts. I would highly recommend this place.

New to Silver Spring, I needed to find a mechanic to correct an issue with my BMW 1 series convertible. I chose CJ’s based largely on the reviews here and couldn’t have been happier. Experienced with BMWs, they quickly diagnosed the problem. Work was done quickly at a reasonable price. They even met me on a Saturday, when the shop is normally closed, as I was unable to pick up the car during the week. CJ’s is now my “go to” shop for all future work.

I give much Kudos. I was skeptical bc of past experience and everyone cant work in VW, CCs. I had oil leak in a problem area. Then I needed a water pump that I didnt know about. They fixed what they saw and not just fix bc the dealer had told me. There were a couple of things done complimentary. Who gets that service now days? It took a couple of days but they communicated with me. They dropped me off and picked me up from Metro. Last but not least, the charge I couldnt have gotten any better. All done was much less than the dealer and they were personable, confident, concise. I will recommend this shop. The work was done over a year ago with no problems to date. Thanks You Guys!!!

Whether it’s an oil change or major maintenance, I’ve always left pleased with my experience.While I’ve moved away from the silver spring area, I still make the trip to CJs. A 40 minute drive is well worth the caliber of service they offer.

Vlad and his team fixed my 2008 Porsche Cayman. It needed a lot of suspension parts to be replaced, new brakes, water pump etc. Now my car is driving great. I brought my other German cars to get repaired and I’ve always been satisfied with the work.

My 2008 535xi BMW was leaking coolant, so I gave them a call. They were able to squeeze me into their schedule right away. Vlad immediately diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, and replaced it all in the same day. This is my second time there and I will continue going. Very professional and efficient.

I came in with what I thought were suspension issues with my BMW X3. Vlad took me for a spin in my car so we could isolate the noises I was talking about and he informed me it wasnt the suspension, but rather the plastic trim on the trunk hitting and making this annoying noise. He was able to apply some foam tape under the plastic to get rid of the noise. He also put the car up on a lift to show me where some of the rattling noises I was complaining about were coming from and what we could do about them. I could NOT be happier, no noises from my car anymore, and no suspension issues. I will be back!

I took my 2002 BMW 330ci to Vlad last month.Vlad is good, honest, responsive, andknowledgeable mechanic and he a good communicator. He was highly recommended by my friend who took her 5 series here for years. I am kicking myself for not going sooner.When I got there all I saw only BMWs being fixed so I knew I was in the right place. I explained the problems and he wrote them all down.Later in the day he called to explain in detail what he had found, how long it would take to fix and how much is would cost. His price was far below the dealership and what I was expecting.When I got the car back it drove better than it had in months. I am very happy with the service at CJ and I just found my mechanic for life!The shop is in a convenient location in downtown Silver Spring.

My experience with CJ Foreign Car has been quite strong. My parents had been bringing their Audi there for years and always had great things to say about the shop. Prices are reasonable, work is done in no time and they are friendly. And friendliness is important. Sometimes you dont know what kind of personality youre going to get at an auto repair shop. In addition to this, they literally rebirthed an older Mercedes given to me by a relative. The price was right, they were able to locate a transmission for it, which is rare since the car is so old. I just like this place.

This is a follow up on the below.As expected, they fixed the leak and the car has been leak free since. This is a very honest shop and wont take my car anywhere else.___________________________________I have been bringing my E350 Benz bluetec here for a while, it looks like an honest shop never had a problem. They changed my transmission fluid recently and noticed a transmission fluid leak a couple of days later. Taking it back to the shop and I will follow up with a review afterwords. This shop has always acted responsibly although not happy with this leak which could prompt other major problems, I believe they will correct the leak.

My former mechanic closed and I was shopping for a new mechanic for my 1997 Saab 900. There were some good reviews on Yelp of this repair shop and since it was close to home, I figured why not. I will not go back here. I have never had to order my own parts for a repair. The service manager did not call me when the wrong part came in. I had to follow tracking on my home computer to know when the parts reached the shop. I then had to go back to the shop and reorder the parts. Again, the service manager did not notify me when this time the correct parts came in. When I called and said the parts where in, why didnt you call, I was told, I was getting to that. When the car was repaired, the console for the gear shift was not put back correctly and I refuse to go back to have it corrected. Gear shift is acting up again. Back on the hunt for a new Saab mechanic.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I took my BMW 525I 2001 to this shop. These guys charge me $630 to change 5 spark plugs.He did not change the sixth spark plug because he said the previous Mechanic who worked on the car installed the sixth spark plug in wrong and now its stuck so he did not want to try to remove it for fear it would break inside the engine wall.It was after I went on you-tube, I saw how easy it was to install my spark plugs. TOO LATE I GOT ROBBED !!

Ive been coming to CJ Foreign Car Shop since around this time last January when my water pump on my 2009 VW EOS went out on me. My car has been a pain in my backside but Vladimir has been my life saver. This shop has been more helpful to me than VW Dealership has EVER been. Id never take my car to any other shop but CJs. Oh, not to mention the cost of all this work has surely been cheaper than the Dealership, as well.

I could kiss Vlad. I took my BWM 330Ci to CJs a couple of weeks ago to have a valve cover gasket replacement, AC repair, my second horn replaced and a couple of other small things. All my problems have been resolved. I couldnt be happier with the work and Im ecstatic about what it cost. Im certain I paid half the cost I wouldve had to pay BWM. Dont take your car to BWM, take it to Vlad at CJs.
