With a large selection of groceries to choose from, I can get most of whatI want. The deli has fresh salads. The sushi bar is great. Service is usually good. Thursdays can be a bit crowded as families get their Shabbos shopping done.

I saw so many complaints about the freshness of your products. What’s going on??? It’s a baby food! It’s so dangerous!!!! You have to shame on you.

A port in the storm. Did not have many standard grocery items I needed. Fruit is unripe. Register items do not ring up correctly.

Mixed feelings with this place. Good wine selection, clean store overall, very limited selection on cheese and deli meats. I wanted fresh slices of provolone, ended up with Havarti. Expensive too but only come in here in a pinch when visiting my folks. Between this and the outdated Safeway in four corners there arent many options. Silver spring desperately needs a Wegmans. Puts these places to shame.

I love it has very good quality products, but the girl who attended us in the bakery treated us badly, she only needed to take off her belt and stick together the croissants that she gave us at least 2 days ago, they were not fresh like other times that had buying.😔

You would think they would have good bagels but they don’t. The least they could do is stock some Ben & Jerry’s.

Provided exactly what I was searching for, a Jewish orthodox kosher market, probably the best one in miles on end, the only opponent it could possibly have is Motys which is in Rockville, and so its incredible, absolutely amazing!

I love the online shopping, best shoppers, best delivery time and fees, best telephone and email Customer Service backup. Way over and above expectations in all aspects. Even ice cream arrived perfectly frozen on a warm day!

Almost empty of customers which was surprising. Fully stocked. Adequate employee staff. Very relaxing and comfortable with the easy to maintain social distancing.

I went to Shalom Kosher to pick up food for lunch and dinner. Went to the deli counter and got a roast beef sandwich for lunch ( it was delicious!). Then I got some potato salad and Macaroni salad for dinner. They make the best macaroni and potato salads. Oh.... I almost forgot, the staff in the store was very helpful. It was a great experience.

Even though i dont keep Kosher I think that Shalom has a lot of great food.The quality of the food there is excellent. I especially love shopping there because the people who work there are so nice, helpful and very courteous.I especially love shopping at their bakery! Great store, highly recommended.

Obscure items, check. Good wine selection, check. Decent prices, check. DELICIOUS pastries, checkity-check! And usually very helpful except for today. It pains me to write anything negative about this place because they really are so nice and helpful and CLEAN. Yes folks...even the dry groceries are rotated! That said, the young lady behind the bakery counter could barely look up from her phone to remember the two things I asked for. I corrected the one item because I noticed it and didnt discover the other until we got home. If the management reads this, we were there on Sunday 2/24 at approx. 12:30. Perhaps this can be remedied. We will continue to support them as they are an important part of this neighborhood.

I love Shaloms because it is very practical. I can pretty much buy everything I need in one store. I think that some items are over priced but for the most part the prices are reasonable. They often have great sales, and I believe they are doing their best to keep prices down and stay in business.The bakery always gives free cookies to my kids which they love.Recently they improved their sushi selection and it is fantastic! They also recently updated their candy selection with tons of gummy candies, etc. I really appreciate it how they are always getting better.Here is what needs to be improved:The bathrooms are dirty and the urinal in the mens bathroom is too high.The decor could is pretty run down and could use a makeover.The takeout food is okay, nothing fantastic. It would be great if the quality of takeout could be improved.

The produce is always amazing here.Prices for certain items can be high, usually proteins, but the quality seems high to make up for that.

The organization of food and goods seem a bit odd to me. Had to search around for what I wanted to purchase. Overall appearance was satisfactory, not particularly attractive, but appeared clean. Deli area large, well lit under long, deep glass enclosure. Deli staff knowledgeable, but slow. Baked goods limited, spirits abundant, but not enough of variety of wines.

Beautiful clean store and the people are very friendly and courteous to their customers. We had never been there before and didnt know where something was located and the person showed us exactly where the item was.

Very well stocked supermarket with lots of staff stocking shelves and monitoring items. I thought the fruit and veggie sections were good. Some of the gluten free items were separated in their own shelf and easy to find. The meat looked excellent but it is significantly more expensive than other places.

Full selection kosher supermarket with a wide variety of products, including natural and organic. Lots of prepared foods as well. Prices are a bit high on some items, but pretty typical of kosher groceries outside of the NYC metro area.

Fully stocked kosher grocery store, a mandatory trip for Passover preparations! Some prices are higher than other area stores, but the selection of items cant be beat! Store also has a large wine selection, excellent butcher and deli counter.

The customer service is always prompt, excellent character, helpful staff. Will visit here again when I arrive in town.

Eh.... small deli counter. Bakery doesnt look fresh. Ground beef was brown inside. Nice wine selection. Prices are a bit high. Good dairy cases and freezer section. Quality help around the store and at check out.

Unfortunately, much of the meat I buy here is bad. I have had to go here for ground beef recently because Costco hasnt stocked kosher ground beef, but about 50% of the time it smells terrible and tasted as if it is bad. I have had thet same issue with skirt steak and other beef cuts. Chicken at least seems fine. They let me return it without question, but I wish they had better quality control and checked the freshness of their stock.

Good food plus, different selections of wines and grocery. Basically you could find anything here without disappointment.

One of my favorite store to go, I really like their pastries and cereal options . Most of the pastries prices are usually less than the local stores and they are so delicious.

Please do a better job of cleaning the chicken wings. It takes forever to pick out the pin feathers. The kosher market in Rockville is better at this than your market, but you are closer to where I live, and Id really like to be able to buy them from you.

Good kosher supermarket

Comprehensive kosher market, deli, butcher and amazing bakery. Also has most grocery staple products at competitive prices to other area supermarkets. Did I mention the bakery is amazing? Try the big Marble cookies. OMG!

Filthy look behind in prep areas no cleanliness staff in meat department not able to code meat Correctly Im not Jewish But needed to go there kosher people sorry folks Id rather buy organic food it wasnt blessed by a rabbi and much better Quality raised in better environments in fed proper diets. People binge eating cheese and meat for years in the theory of it being unhealthy for you is well no need to get into it Im Italian In my family has a history of living 95 to 100 plus years. This place have gotten good stuff,but some of the managers, discriminate group of people...I dont know why they have to ask some of the questions when you get to a cashiers, while we are paying like everyone else.i get so angry when someone is asking if you know how much money you have to shop... Kosher food that survives off of the local Jewish community. A bit expensive but convenient if you live in Kemp Mill Jewish community. Consistency with staff is unreliable which is a reflection of the unqualified management/leadership. As another reviewer has so correctly stated, much of the food is expired and marked down for sale/clearance. Gave the store the benefit of the doubt, but on too many occasions the food lacks an expiration date at all or it is what seems to be purposefully covered by the sale price sticker.On one occasion had to argue with the cashier to allow me to buy a single bottle of wine because I had a Texas drivers licence and military ID. Embarrassing, rude encounter which was completely avoidable if staff was sufficiently trained. Debbie/Debra, the manager, literally said that she was not sorry because Maryland only accepts vertical IDs. Just sad and unprofessional to think that the United States consists of 49 other states and those that so selflessly serve in the armed forces.Will shop here again when my time is more important than my pride for kosher food. Truly wish the best for this store as it serves my own Jewish community here.

Everything in this store is cheap because everything is EXPIRED. I will be calling the county health inspection department this week so I hope Shalom Kosher reads this review and stops trying to make money by selling EXPIRED food, this is unethical and unsafe. It is easy to make a profit with a grocery store, why do you need to be greedy and sell people food which is expired in order to put a few extra dollars in your pocket?? Every time you see something on sale here you can be sure it is expired, sometimes by months. Today I made a purchase and the item date was November 2015!! Can you please stop selling EXPIRED Food?? PLEASE

Today, I had my 15 Miles Challenge walking in Sligo Creek and while I was walking, I saw this Grocery Store, I was so impressed, since it is kosher, so I will find what I was looking for since I was here in the US and which is Off Course - Amba Sauce - then once I went back home, I drove to them and stopped by and the workers over there were so friendly helpful and that guy helped me to find the Amba and I am so thankful for his kindness and I want to tell him, I made the Flafel and I added this Amba with the Tahini sauce too, and It was so delecious ! just like home (Iraq) made Flafel ! !
