Cool location. I was able to use the PC and print/copy service smoothly. There was a nice clearance section with cool home schooling essentials ; I bought many items. The cashier was very kind and helpful.
On 5/7/21 about3.30pm, I went to this location to return the stuff that I bought last morning. The cashier who help me was the lady (African American). I very appreciate her working. She is very helpful and polite. But my bad is I didnt remember her name. Nothing else but just would like to appreciate this nice worker.
I really don’t like coming to this staples. I’m giving a 3 stars because it’s at a convenient location; but I would have given lower than that. Please allow yourself double the time if you planning on using the printing services. There is always an issue with their printer/copier and customers complaining about the poor service. they have multiple printer but there is always an issue with them. They are shorten in staff and overload with too much work to do that they can’t help as much. In the past 3 years I have almost never go there and spend the time I was planning on. I only go there because it’s a walk distance from my home and it’s the closest staples.
Very well organized and I was assisted with finding everything I needed.
Manager was short-handed but extremely organized, polite, and helpful. She genuinely seemed to like her job, which showed. She treated each customer as if he or she were a guest in her home. She was respectful of her employees. The store was clean, well-lit, and organized. Will definitely go back.
Needed something quick on a Saturday. Ordered on-line, was ready when we got there. Perfect.
The COVID pandemic has moved my office job to my kitchen island. In the office I had everything I needed on my desk - 2 large monitors and a 3rd monitor in my laptop when using the docking station and more. In my kitchen, I have a not so large and sometimes difficult to work on laptop. The frustration and stress increased and so I finally started researching online desktops and monitors and hard drives and wireless mouses. So many different brands, so many different ways to build your hardware. While I like to think that I am fairly tech savvy and could have figured it out, I realized how out of touch I was with the latest technology. I finally reached out to the Staples in Glenmont, MD and spoke with the store manager, Michael. After speaking with Michael, he really put all of my frustration and stress at ease. He listened to my challenges with working virtually, and he said he would come up with a plan and recommendation based on my needs. I visited the store and was immediately and warmly greeted by Michael and his team. Michael walked me through EVERYTHING - monitors, printer, insurance, virus protection, and other awesome ad-ons that I would have never thought about. I was especially impressed with Michaels detailed knowledge of the brands, products, functionality and performance of the various equipment. He explained how the equipment worked in a way that was easy to understand and made clear what my choices were. He struck the perfect balance of meeting me where I am and giving me the necessary information according to my budget, but also selling me on advanced products for me to consider. On top of all this, when it came down to looking for my printer of choice, Michael made the thoughtful effort of calling other locations in the area to find it. He ended up finding it at another store, called in the purchase and let the manager at that location know that I was on my way to pick it up. When it was time for checkout, he even thought to ask if I needed hand sanitizer - which I did! Its been so hard to find hand sanitizer, I was super happy to see it so well stocked at Glenmont, MD Staples. In addition to Michael’s hard work, his team also pitched in throughout my time in the store to ensure I had the very best experience possible. When it came time to ring me up, it was a smooth checkout process, right down to the assistance of getting everything loaded in my car. Its been a while since I’ve made a big technology purchase quite like this; it was all very intimidating for me. Michael and his team made it such an easy, digestible and stress free process. I look forward to returning to the store for when my equipment arrives for Michael and his team to set up. I’m sure I’ll be back for more ad ons or equipment or supplies as well. When its time for me to return I will most certainly be returning to the best Staples in Glenmont, MD and will be sure to ask for the manager, Michael, every single time. - Warm Regards from a VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!
So I understand the crazy time back to school shopping is for the stores that sell such items for this purpose. I just cant seem to understand why the bathrooms are filthy, items all over the floor, broken, missing pieces and no one does nothing. This store always seems to have this problem even when its not back to school. What I do appreciate is how polite and helpful the employees are thats why I rate 2stars; just wish there was a better system implemented so the store looks presentable.
Brought a Printer, paper, and a computer! Thank you for the deals, Staples!
Great selection in office supplies! The wait is often not long at all and the place isn’t crowded.
Maybe if you guys didnt treat your customers like criminals you would have a better rating. I ended up not buying the extra items I picked, only what I realy needed because of the bad customer service from the manager on duty.
Got some fax done here and the service by the staff was nice and helpful. Since I had forgotten how to use a fax machine.😂 I felt like a fool not able to remember how to. But like I said the lady in the copy center was nice and helpful. Clean...
Long check-out lines with only one guy working. the easy tech had no ideal what he was doing and told me i dont know with every thing i asked that had to do with computers. i now shop at best buy and now i do not need to ever shop at staples ever again.
Online order pickup was most convenient. Would use again if need be! Did not do any in store shopping, but store appeared to be fully stocked.
Very useless printing area. I always print at staples and have always been satisfied, except at this one location. They refused to print one piece of paper for the same day, you would have to come back the next day. To me, that is useless. If it was a big order that needed any additional service like cutting, then it would make sense. For one sheet of paper, it was ridiculous.
Had a terrible experience at the copy center. Very rude customer service with a pair of employees who cared more about talking on the phone than helping customers. This is the worst Staples in the area and be aware that its ratchet before going here.
It was great, we live in the neighbourhood so it is also convenient for us to ship at Staples. We found what we wanted to buy. The cashier was very friendly, we like shopping here.
While this is a good concept, the copy center machines are often down. I suspect its due to lack of maintenance. Very pleasant helpful staff. Inventory is not that good.
Glad to get the price I got. Was not posted, so it was a fluke. The help was a little slow and lacked the ability at times to make independent decisions. Overall, however, it was better than many of the locations I have visited.
I have read other reviews on here about this particular store and had quite the opposite experience. The manager was extremely helpful and went above and beyond the norm to ensure I was able to purchase the item I wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful and the store manager was extraordinary. I would happily shop at this store again.
The place provided what I was looking for. The employees were great and the place was clean and well organized. The place is fine. Only wish that there were more employees walking around for help.
Average at best. Cant say much for the service of the staff. The few time I have been in I can usually find what I am looking for with out having to ask. Convenient location for doing USPS, and UPS shipping.
Lazy and rude employees at the printing center, very incompetent supervisor and manager. I will never have my company spend a dime at staples
It was a great experience. The manager put the money on 3 cards to 1 card so I could use it to make copies.5
The associates were very knowledgeable about the sale items I had questions about.
Copy/Scan machine jacked up my paper, but staff was accommodating enough that I did not get too stressed. Due to volume of use they could use more maintenance. Otherwise, it was all good.
Although chronically understaffed at the checkout lanes, the staff is helpful and will take the time to get you what youre looking for. During busy times the store can get very disorganized and cluttered, especially around the holidays.Would recommend overall; although generally Staples are not price-competitive, they are willing to price match, even with Amazon. The clearance wall at the back right of the store has occasional great finds.
Wonderful set of employees. They obviously enjoy their job and are very friendly towards the customers..
The only reason this location gets two stars is because its a convenient location. I only visit staples to use the printer and every time theres an issue. the print center is always backed up (because only one of five machines actually work- two if youre lucky). this location also seems to be severely understaffed and the associates they do have dont even act like they care that the machines are constantly jamming or a line is forming. they think telling all the aggravated customers that theyll just reboot it is going to make up for the 30 minutes already spent in line. if the cherry hill location didnt close down Id never be here. theres no reason it should take upwards of 45 minutes to print a single sheet.
Store employees are unfriendly. In-store prices are higher than on-line prices.
Service was good. They helped me find something that was a little difficult to find.
The staff was very helpful and there was plenty of parking. That said, the layout of the store was a little confusing, although I eventually found what I needed.
The thing about staples is they are not price competitive. You can beat their prices online, often by 50% for such things as Lightscribe DVD+R discs.OTOH they are convenient to me so if I need something I can often get it NOW.
Even though their computers was down i could print my documents with ease thru their back up system. Good experience
Make sure you stay away! The service is crappy at best. I tried to reserve a item over the phone and the sales associate asked me the item number put me on hold, came back asked me the item number put me on hold, came back asked me the item number put me on hold, came back and asured me they had it in stock. A few hours later I called back because its a limited item. I call back and the guy asked me what I wanted, rudely. Then told me they didnt have any. I told him to check again because the sales associate before told me they had plenty in stock. He comes back and says its not the one I needed. This is about as lousy as service gets. If you take a job youre responsible for ensuring proper service. You definitely wont get that at thi Staples. It needs to torn down.
Poor customer service, was thinking of purchasing a notebook. No employees in the area, no one asked if I needed assistance. Cashiers disappeared after checking out other shoppers. Not the first time Ive encountered this at this location.
Excellent service, thanks to mostly Anna in the printing department and the manager mr. Sherman. Keep up the good work.
I havent even been to the store yet, but I called to ask questions about printing our newsletter, and I have been on hold for 9 minutes now just waiting for someone to answer the phone. I still have not spoke to..... they just picked up... after a 3 second conversation I am now waiting for the manager. As of now I have been on hold for another 5 minutes, which gave me the chance to read all of the reviews and its a rap!!! Im going to Kinkos!!!!
Ordered online for in-store pick-up (supposed to be a 2-hour wait). After waiting 5 hours, I called to check when my order was going to be ready and was left on hold for over 10 minutes. There is rarely enough staff. Check out takes FOREVER. Never enough employees to help locate products AND do check out. Wish this wasnt the closest store to my home. Out of convenience I go, but I dislike it.
Great store. It is huge, very friendly and helpful personel.
Very bad attention of the lady located in copy, I asked for help to scan a document and I never offered help
Almost all the copiers are not functioning. Long lines. Slow old copiers
Amazin insite customer service. They are the best
Great customer service experience with the Manager she was very helpful
The copy center ruined one of my pieces of art, no joke. And I had to go back 3 times because they didnt scan my media right the first two times. Ridiculous.
Very long wait times for copy print centerGood product just have to be treated like your at the mva
Exceptionally poor service. called twice for a product, fist time associate hung up. Second time they had no clue if they had the item.
A little bit of a wait, but it was good
Awfull!! i couldt put 0 start. This service is terrible. They didnt want to do my print. I dont know why people who are not willing to help people are in this kind of jobs!!!
Always most helpful & friendly, many sales.
Associate Roopson in printing area is very helpful, funny and friendly
They did not have the product in stock and when I was waiting for the technician to ask about a substitute he took other people before me. I left without buying anything. Went on Amazon and ordered what I needed. So when you see them in financial trouble, this is a big part of the reason.
The only thing I can compare it to is shopping at Nakumatt. For those who do not know, Nakumatt is the Walmart equivalent of Kenya and for the record it is better managed than this staples. At Nakumatt I was able to find what I needed, get help from employees, and get it at a fair price. None of that at this staples. The normal workers are fine but the management seems non-existent.There was a puddle about 3 inches deep and 30 feet wide in the back. Backpacks were all over the floor, products were opened and missing, everything was covered with dust, the back seemed to be converted into a warehouse for early 2000s TV products and storage containers.Basically, it is the worst office supply store Ive ever been to. Its so bad that you should feel morally obligated to warn others so they never go there.
Good personable and professional service.
Staff was rude, uninformed, and less than helpful
Copy Center does a great job! Thanks Anna.
Great prices on school supplies!
Dirty. No staffs on floor to help. Bathroom was disgusting. Help was so slow
I went there to buy hanging folders. When I brought my purchase to checkout, there was only one register open, but there was no employee. After waiting for more than 5 minutes the employee working the register returned with a customer. He informed me that the customer he was with needed to be checked out before me.I left without making the purchase.
This has definitely got to be one of the worst staples everything out of stock and what they did have was in total disarray
Went to store i was charged five dollars to make one copy was told it was $.12 call them back on the phone to find out why had to wait 35 minutes lady picked up and then transfer me somewhere else I will never go back there I will always go to FedEx
Over Staffed in copy and printing. Non cooperative and rude.
Under staffed, staff members are hit or miss for knowledge.
Its sad how bad this staples and its staff is. Owners should care more about the quality of employees in this store. If I could give half of half of one star I would
They never pick up the phone and nobody at the store helps you
Selection is limited. Staff look like they hate their job.
My visit was great
Only two computers for printing!! Waiting for available computer takes long long for next customer
Yep, its convenient. Thats about it.
Nice place to shop
Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with.
Great customer service!!!
The UPS shipping area is chronically understaffed and so expect to wait forever.
Good customer service
They let me stay late!
Supposed to be an office center but their machines are always broken and do not scan to email
On my way out the cashier had a smile on her face.
Worst costumer service ever
Hi this is Staples in Glenmont store store manager does not have a business card on him they refused to replace an item that has warranty on it and very friendly service yet thank you
The worst place ever, I called them to ask if they have a papers scan service and they told me they do have it, so I spent 35 min in the metro and when I reached there, they said sorry we dont do scanning any more, its stupid.
Because everything is pretty
Answer the phone, copy center!
Awesome!
Very very poor service
Terrible
Great place to shop always find what Im looking for
In the first place I was not in the staple I was wing for this chimney system, it throws me that I am in the staple but no.
Good shots
Very kind they helped me
