I recently took my Dodge Durango in for an oil change and 100,000 mile service. The service was great. They had my car in and out in no time at all. The prices were very reasonable. I brought my 2004 Toyota Camry into JBS Auto Services with a whole lot of issues (noises in the AC unit, smelling gasoline after turning off engine, check engine light on, hesitation when accelerating, etc). I had been putting off taking it to a shop because I’m so horrified of being ripped of since I don’t know anything about cars. But I’m so happy I found out about JBS and brought it to them. Chris was super nice and understanding with me while I explained to him all the issues. He was able to give me an estimate in a few hours that was actually a lot less than I was anticipating. He explained what my car needed and why without overwhelming me with too much information that I wouldn’t understand. He also explained what I needed to have fixed ASAP and what issues could wait a little bit. I was going to have to leave my car there over the weekend and he offered to meet me there on his day off to get me my car back after it was fixed so I wouldn’t haven’t to go without a car the whole weekend. Then, to my surprise he made sure my car was done early for me on Friday right before they closed for the weekend. I really appreciated the fast and professional service and never plan on taking my car anywhere else. It’s running great again and I feel safe on the road knowing I put my car in the right hands. I was referred to Travis at JBS by a friend who had his starter replaced on his Tundra. I took my Sequoia in for an oil change to a shop in Thousand Oaks. Since my vehicle has over 200K miles I asked them to check for any leaks. They informed me that my main seal and intake manifold were leaking. I hadnt noticed any significant leaks on the ground so I found this interesting. The repairs were going to cost close to $1000. I decided it wasnt an emergency and to get another opinion. Before taking my car to Travis I steam cleaned the engine and drove the vehicle for a couple weeks so he would be able to see more easily if there was leak. Come to find out Travis did not find any significant leaks considering the mileage on the car. There is some seepage, but no leaks. This was great news as I was heading up north to Big Sur. He checked my brakes as well which were good too. Needless to say I will be bringing my cars as well as friends and family to Travis from now on.By the way, when I rented a car from Hertz I got the shop rate and the lady at the counter said JBS...oh yeah everyone in Simi knows them. They are the place to go to get your car repaired honestly! I highly recommend JBS, Travis and Chris!

DODGE VIPER. Trying to do Viper on a budget is almost impossible! If you go to Dodge, you have to go where a Viper qualified mechanic is and not all dealerships have one. Went to JBS and asked if they would like to have a go at it. Travis said hed never worked on one before, but its just nuts and bolts like any other car. Needed plug wires and coils changed. Unfortunately the intake has to come off as the coils are under it. Travis had a little trouble waiting on parts, but got it bangin on all 10 again. Price??? I know its at least half of what Dodge would have charged after they apply the Viper Tax. Only problem at JBS is they are super busy and I can see why. Thanks-Travis!!

Upon initial consultation I was faced with a possible expensive fix. After Travis diagnosed the problem turns out it was something easy and inexpensive to repair. It’s this kind of honesty and professionalism that gets them a five star rating from me. It is reassuring having your vehicle tended to by someone who is skillful and knowledgeable in their trade.

Brought my Ford Flex in for a sub-frame out internal water pump replacement. They did a great job and delivered ahead of schedule. Both Travis and Chris are straight forward in explaining what needs to be done and have a great attitude. Im in the classic car business and ex-service writer and I will sometimes wrench on my cars. I would explicitly trust them with all my vehicle repairs that are above my pay grade. Keep up the great work, guys!!

I highly recommend JBS. I’ve been taking my vehicles there the last 3-4 years. Last November, I had my brakes replaced and after about 6 months heard some noise. I called JBS and they took a look and said there was an issue with the brand of pads. JBS switched out the brakes and also changed my oil for free! These guys take great care of us and I couldn’t be happier with the service and value.

Great work and great prices. Had some work done on my F250 and when my plugs started faulting they honored their warranty work even though there was a change in ownership. Honest customer service like that is hard to come by.

He asked all the right questions, didnt talk down to me and was sympathetic for my problem.I replaced the injectors on my 2006 F250 6.0L powerstroke then I couldnt get it started. Needless to say I thought I messed something up, bad. Travis was honest, gave my truck a hard work over and test, said he had to charge the batteries and everything else checked out good.Travis was great. Used to take my diesel van here when it needed repairs. They were always friendly and did work for a fair price. Had to bring a gas SUV in recently with weird obd2 issues. They fixed it up and got it smogged. Good to see service is still great.

Recently took a couple of my vehicles to JBS Auto. Gave Jerry a list of issues and things I would have liked done. Based on the findings of one car and its age, he decided to not waste my money and to not do the remaining repairs. He most certainly could have done everything I asked and made a chunk of change but knowing the car was not worth all the repairs he advised against it. I appreciate his honesty. He looks out for his customers.

There have been times where I needed something done ASAP and he has been able to get me in and out, even though he is really busy.There have never been any surprises or upsells. So a couple days ago i asked for a recommendation on an honest and trustworthy mechanic & you guys recommended JBS. They were just the crew I needed after 3 bad experiences with other shops. Chris from JBS helped me and made everything understandable to a WOMAN lol everything from the work, the parts, and everything else in between that i was clueless about. From the start, I knew my car would be in great hands because they seemed passionate about their job. Although their customer satisfaction was very reassuring, I left thinking Id need a new alternator along with new sparkplugs (Not so great for my wallet). But after my car was (thoroughly) reviewed, they let me know Id only need new sparkplugs, as my alternator was ok! Unfortunately, mishaps do happen and throughout the process of returning my alternator, a small fuze blew. This maybe upsetting but chris was honest about it and handled it well! Not only did they replace the broken fuze FREE OF CHARGE, they also found the right problem (which 3 other shops couldnt). Although this was a 2 day job (ordering the parts) and the time he spend trying to find the problem, Chris didnt give up! I payed only for my new sparkplug, no labor cost (they took hours trying to figure out the problem)! Not only was car happy but my wallet was too! So in the end JBS will now be my go-to shop as I feel I can truly trust the service and know I will be getting my moneys worth! The guys were super nice and honest. Chris didnt give up, he was determined to find out what was wrong and Im so glad he did because as a single parent of 3 kids I NEED a car i can depend on 24/7.
