The place itself is very chic and welcoming with modern decor. Food is good, I got a Cubano and it was hearty with good flavor. Only issue is there wasnt much meat in one half of it. For a $10 sandwich I expected a little more. Felt like an $8 or $7 sandwich in terms of how filled it was.

This spot is awesome! A relatively new spot in Simi and its a welcome addition. The staff was very kind and helpful as I didnt know some of the stuff on the menu. Ended up going with the El cubano... So good!

Some of the best Cuban food I have ever had. Tony and his staff are amazing. I have done it all here from catering for Christmas Eve, to work lunches, to just a weekend lunch treat for myself, or too lazy to cook dinner and having it delivered straight to my home. The food and service never disappoint. I highly recommend this place, SO GOOD!

Fantastic Cuban food, moderately priced and delicious coffee.

The coffee here is great. Ive tried some of the food which is also very good. The 3 star rating is due to service. While we were greeted quickly and nicely, the food and coffee took quite a while to make. There was a small rush and the 3 people working were operating at what one could call a sluggish pace. There was also poor planning on the coffee making to food making side. Our coffee was made long before the food was ready so it was cool at best when everything was done. Hopefully its just a training issue because I really want to come back and enjoy it.

We ordered food for takeout and the order was well prepared and promptly packed. We selected the classics - Cuban sandwiches, Cuban-style ground beef, black beans and rice, fried yellow plantains. All were delicious, though Ive had better plantains and black beans in Miami which sets the bar quite high for Cuban food. If you live in Simi, give it a try. Its very good and authentic.

Needs just a bit of touching up, but the staff was very nice and the food was great. They had an electrically cooled tank of water anyone could get while youre there which I appreciated greatly during this 100° weather. If you havent heard of this place, give it a try.

Yummy coffee. So good. Great fresh made pastries. Looking forward to coming back for dinner. Now the owner is even paying the bongo drums. Great find. Excited to have a great place to eat before a movie at the Simi 10 theater.

Food 5 stars, speed 2 stars. Friday evening 6:40 no one was in restaurant but we had 6 people, food came out very slow, 30 min. to start getting our order and all of the order finished coming out about an hour from when we ordered... only 2 people working. Will have to get it to go or delivered next time.

We went with my daughter the other day.. Cuban sandwich was very tasty.. my daughter plate was ok.. rice and beans were that great but I do recommend this place..

Wow this place is AMAZING! I have never had Cuban food before. Right now after those savory empanadas and sandwhiches at favorable prices, our taste buds are bursting with excitement! How can i forget the guava and cheese pasty!? All the food has a way of just falling apart into a bite of uniquely delicious perfection. We cant wait to go back tomorrow! I am surprised there isnt a line out the door. Hands down one of THE top restaurants in Simi Valley. Dont question it just go.

The best, and only, place in Simi Valley to get Cuban food! If your in the neighborhood, or not, and craving some Cuban food, definitely check this place out. I had the lechon asado with white rice and black beans, which was really good! The lechon was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The beans and white rice were also good. I also tried the papa rellena, and guava pastry. Both were really good! Everything tasted homemade! Will definitely come back!

Ordered to go and tried practically everything on the menu. It was pretty yummy despite being the end of the day. We were given extra food too since they were closing up soon. Definitely want to try again when the food is more fresh though.

Cuban food so good. I had the Lechon Asado sandwich, it was mouthwatering. My kid had the pan con bistec sandwich (steak sandwich) and she loved it as well. The place also serves a few select full entrees, but I have always ordered the sandwiches and have not been disappointed.

Ate here only once.Came in for lunch, and had a pretty mediocre experience. Rice and beans had dried out while in hot hold and the pork was kind of bland. Hopefully another visit will go better.

I love their BREADED Steak Sand which (Milanesa Torta)$9.65 for the Sand which, price is decent, I would say it should be about $6-8 for the sand which, however the sand which is great, not too heavy, not too light (ADD SHOESTRING POTATOS!)The majority of their Menu is pork, I dont eat pork, but the steak is good, its a little dry, but the condiments, ingredients and bread make a difference, I would not say its VERY Expensive as a previous commenter stated. I recommend it, one of the best food places around here.

New restaurant in Simi: Cienfuegos - Cuban. Yummy! Soft opening right now! Food was delicious. We had Cubanos, Cuban sandwiches with croquetas in them (even better), fried sweet plantains (OMGoodness good), guava & guava & cheese pastries. Owner and staff were friendly and efficient and the place was spotless. We will be going back for sure.

Great food and service. Loved the atmosphere the joint has. I had a cubano sandwich and a few of the savory pastries. Everything was delicious and fresh to order. To wash all the sinful goodness down they have a great selection of Cuban sodas. I had an Ironbeer, reminded me of Dr. Pepper. Delicious! The Materva is also a good one. Havent had one of those in years.We enjoyed all the food, the pastelitos really stood out! The Cubano was rich and flavorful, it would cure a hangover instantly. Cant wait to try their different dishes. Nice change of pace to the typical Simi Valley burger place. My wife said their coffee is to die for. I dont drink coffee so I cannot comment on it.I met Tony, the owner I believe, and he was friendly, welcoming, and informative hahaIf only it could turn into a hip, Cuban hole in the wall by night! Then it would be the complete package! Salsa and Rum nights is what Simi needs. Haha joking aside. Everyone should check this place out!

Portos of Simi valley. Our order took long.... And we did not think the potatoe balls were the greatest. Maybe because in our opinion the potatoe balls of Portos in Burbank are better. Plus we didnt get our order right because their Steak went bad...Although The chicken soup and chicken sandwich were delicious and filling. I would go back just because I think a restaurant deserves a second chance. I hope that next time we have a better experience!

I have been waiting for this restaurant to open. I am so glad they did. The food is delicious! I ordered the picadillo which is deliciously seasoned, tender ground beef with white rice, black beans and plantains (platano). I love my platano maduro, which is a little sweet and amazing with picadillo. They did not disappoint, and they were playing Celia Cruz. Delicious, filling, inexpensive and FUN!
