New to area/state, had to see whats at the mall.Stopped in to look around, almost closing time.One person on duty, wish I could remember her name.She was awesome, friendly and helpful.

Ill second the person who said they were yelled at from staff about the mask deal; this is the only store other than Costco and Menards (whole different piles of BS there) that is so fascist about masks. Yes, we know that its your corporate policy to bother your customers about your masks (would we get in trouble for putting your competitors logo on it and coming into the store, LOL) but maybe your staff could lay off a little bit? For the record, given the appearance and demeanor of your store staff they probably should wear a paper bag or a Halloween mask over their head so they dont scare away more customers, or turn them to stone, I dont know.

If I had my way I wouldnt give them any stars at all. Me and my husband went there and he was told he couldnt go in because of his mask. He had an American flag mask on that wraps around his head and was told he couldnt wear that in their store because it didnt meet there standards. That was the only store in the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls that had a problem with his mask. I cant believe a store in South Dakota would be so anti American.

Didnt have a good experience here. May have a lot to do with Covid but didnt have what I was looking for.

I absolutely love this store, but John isn’t a very people friendly person and he makes me not want to shop there. He makes one feel very unwelcomed and as a burden. Other than that I would have given 5 stars.

I usually like going to hot topics but today had a terrible experience. The guy at the front kept yelling at me to pull my mask up. My mask was covering my face and part way on my nose. I think my mask was a little to big for my face. No one offered me a new mask. They were very rude and I won’t be shopping here anymore.

I really like that they try to be different. unlike other stores I can relate to the different items there whether its music or an old fashion trend or just a cartoon thats on TV. I go there when I visit the mall. I just wish they werent so expensive.

I have always loved the variety of items I can get here. Lately they seem to have gone a bit more mainstream however and although they still offer a great variety of items they have taken away quite a few of the gothic/darker items I love

The service here was great. The employees checked to make sure everything was going well. I absolutely love the atmosphere here! Also, there are many selections there, so you are guaranteed to find something you like.

They treated me great and make sure that the customer is happy and gets exactly what they want. They walk around and ask people if theyre doing alright. They also inform you of possible sales of the items youre looking at.

I like shopping here. My only qualms are that sometimes the staff is not always friendly, and can be weirdly avoidant? I guess it just depends on who is working, because on the opposite side of the spectrum, the employees can be super nice and very helpful. Love their sales and pants.

Staff was really nice in explaining the crazy clearance sale which didnt make any sense. Shirts were another clearance sale. So was long sleeves & tanks was apart of another clearance. Then the miss mash stuff was another clearance. Just too damn confusing. Corporate should do better in their wording. Just left so I wouldnt get mad at the poor gal. She was nice, and didnt want to go off when it wasnt her fault.Just upset at Hot Topic not any of the services provided

I always love to stop in here even though I find myself never buying anything. They have such a great selection of t-shirts. They only go up to 2x however so take notice. Thats as of Memorial Day 2019. A lot of fun little knick knacks of pop culture items.

Might be a bit of a cliche place nowadays, but Ive never had a bad experience here in close to two decades. Obviously a bit pricey, the staff more than makes up for this by knowing their inventory and their generosity towards the customers.

Im an emo person so obviously I would rate it good & everyone complains that its expensive but its worth it & it lasts forever.

I love shopping at this store and do so rather often but unfortunately I purchased Funko online to be received at the store and when I examined the boxes at home they had been dented due to horrible packing so when I called customer service they would not replace the Funko Pop and the price I originally paid was no longer offered for the items to be replacedThe operator then informs me that a crushed box is not considered a damaged item when pertaining to Funko Pop and as a collector thats just not right soThank youHot Topic for not offering to at least replace the item which I would have gladly returned in order to get said items without crushed boxes. Maybe you should retrain employees or fix your procedure on packing item since this is the first Funko out of many that was not packed in its own smaller box

Lot of fun stuff here. My only complaint would be that the socks from there are very very thin.

I went there with my 15 year old son. We bought $18 pair of blue tooth earbuds. My son said the quality was poor. We went back to the store to return them. The person working said we need the box it came in. I went back to the store the next day that employee said no returns for opened electronics it says it on the receipt. How was I to know before buying them ? I dont have a receipt until I buy something. Plus employee #1 said we could return them if we had the box. Employee # 1 is a lier and no one that works there cares . In a nutshell they sell low quality bluetBlue earbuds .If you buy them and try them out, dont expect a refund or a exchange .

The service here was garbage. They could not tell me what the price of my items were and couldn’t do the simple math for my payment. I’m glad i left before paying. I’ve had better service at McDonald’s after they screw up my burger toppings.
