This isnt just a regular coffee shop. It is so much more with all the food and pastries they offer including cinnamon rolls, homemade pop tarts, gourmet cupcakes. Large menu of all day breakfast items as well as lunch options. The dirty pumpkin chai that was offered to me by the batista was so good. And Josiahs breakfast pizza .. yum!! Lots of seating options such as tables, booths, as well as outdoor seating.
We love Josiah’s! It’s always fairly busy, but we have always been able to find a table. I also love that we can bring our (good, calm, leashed) dog inside. Dog-averse folks - please note that before you go. There are always 2-4+ dogs inside when we eat there. The food is excellent. My one complaint is that eggs that are meant to be runny are often a little harder than I expect them to be. My last eggs Benedict didn’t run at all. A good mix of locals, travelers, and students working on their laptops.
Great food. Had biscuits & gravy and a side of bacon. Unfortunately, I asked for the bacon extra crispy, and it didnt come anywhere close to that. But if thats the worst thing that happens to me, I have a good life. Super nice staff also. Would not hesitate to come here again, and recommend it to friends.
Found Josiah’s while in town for the PBR Velocity Finals. Was searching for a good coffee shop and breakfast spot. What a great find and the reviews are right. Worth a stop if you are in town.Coffee is excellent and breakfast options and quality were wonderful. They open early and service was very good.Restaurant main entrance is not accessible, but just east of the main door is another door that is.We’ll be back next time we’re in town!
Best breakfast in Sioux Falls. A little spendy, but worth it. Biscuits and gravy is a little spicy and absolutely delicious. I get it almost every single time. Great coffee. Dog friendly. Can get pretty busy on the weekend, but it’s worth the wait!
First time customer. The onion, bacon, and gouda omelet was fantastic. It also comes with toast and fruit. SO MUCH FOOD!!Purchased a pop tart to-go as so many people recommended it. Delish.Iced Caramel Macchiato was fabulous too (Is it strange I think the iced coffee drinks should automatically come with a straw and lid? Ive never had to seek them out anywhere before. Maybe plastic conscious? -- Go by the silverware if you want them).Spacious location. Quality ingredients. Loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Hankering for a huge plate of delicious breakfast? Skedaddle over to Josiah’s! The service was incredibly fast for my bacon, Gouda and carmelized onion omelette. They didn’t have gluten free bread but offered to give me more fruit instead, which was nice. Plenty of seating. Great place for the family.
Great place and great atmosphere, One of my favorite coffee shops to go to
Delightful breakfast experience. Food was excellent. Place your order, take a number stand and go to a table to wait for your food. Very pleasant servers.
Everything was awesome. The atmosphere, the customer service, and above all, the food was terrific. Ended a weekend in SD with a smile.(and a caramel roll)!
What a lovely find in the cute little town of Sioux Falls! We stopped for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was bright, eclectic and very cozy! There are a variety of things to choose from. Make sure you are ready with your order as you contemplate the menu while you wait in line. You place and pay for your order and the staff then brings it to you. We ordered coffee, English Muffin with bacon, egg and cheese, as well as French Toast with fresh fruit. The bread was freshly baked and everything was so fresh and delicious. I have now been back twice to Josiah’s in two separate road trips. This will be my new favorite breakfast place every time I visit Sioux Falls, although they also serve lunch so I may have to try it out for lunch as well. For those on the go there is also fresh baked goods and breads.
I was really excited about trying this place in downtown Sioux Falls. We were third in line right after they opened. My husband got his coffee right away. I waited 15 minutes for a chai latte and finally went inside to see it sitting on the counter (they give you a number so I assumed they brought it to your table). I took a sip and it was cool (I ordered it extra hot). I asked for it to be remade and very nicely said I’d like it extra hot. It was barely warmer than the first cup. I tried to drink it but ended up only able to drink half. This was a $6 drink (I had added a shot of espresso). Their food and bakery items looked amazing but we chose to leave because of my drink experience. Very disappointed ☹️
Great atmosphere, better than average food for breakfast, but not 5 star. Food came out cold. Coffee was great though.
Cheesecake was delicious. Eggs Benedict was ok. Love the atmosphere. Cute place.
When you cant decide what to order, make it three. Bacon grilled cheese with guacamole, lime/vanilla Italian soda and a hot mocha. I had been camping for a dew days and was sp glad to have real food. Little on the pricey side, but super tasty. Open cafe to sit and chat, work, and enjoy a piece of deliciously crusted apple/berry pie.
An Amazing place to experience great Staff,Food, along with being in good company and pleasant Atmosphere!DOGGIES ARE WELCOMED AS WELL!!👍🏾😊
Great restaurant! They will accommodate to dietary restrictions. Had the protein bowl that had steel cut oats, flax seeds, chia seeds, banana, and blueberries with almond milk. Yummy 🤤🤤
We stopped in Sioux Falls on our way to family in Wisconsin. On a whim, we decided to check out a local coffee shop. This place is wonderful! The staff are super helpful and friendly. As one who has celiac disease I need special places, and this fits the bill. Steve helped me navigate the menu, and the kitchen to be sure my meal was safe. The food is heavy portioned, leftovers for the road, and great tasting. My two daughters loved their meals. Must see when in the area.
Little less for choices but very good. Clean, fast efficient service.
People watching, great food, friendly vibe, close to my condo on Phillips.. what else is there to say except I wish I owned it. This thing is a cash cow.
Nicely renovated space with a deep menu for breakfast. My scone and latte were excellent!
Pretty good food. Ordering at the counter pretty much sucks. Serving eggs on a cold plate means youre serving cold eggs. A $3.95 English muffin should come with butter.
Beautiful location and history of the business displayed inside. Amazing food as well!
The food is consistently excellent. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. It is busy whenever I am there but the processes in place to ensure outstanding customer experience work. I haven’t felt either rushed or that I’ve waited too long - for anything. The manager is hands on and it shows in every aspect of the experience. Truly an outstanding establishment in every way.
Very nice looking place. We ordered breakfast for pickup and it was ready promptly. Unfortunately it was mostly too burnt to eat. Just passing through town so we won’t be able to give this place another chance.
Great place for coffee, meetings, or doing a couple hours of work. I was very impressed with the friendly staff who really seem to care about each cup of coffee they make, and who keep up a friendly banter with regular customers. On one visit, I saw a book club gathering, a huddle of yoga teachers and state representatives, families and colleagues enjoying lunch together, and kids eating cinnamon rolls. It seems all of Sioux Falls gathers here. They also have gluten-free bread that is delicious!
Even on a busy Sunday, brunch was served quickly. Hot, delicious & very filling!
We stopped here during our trip through South Dakota because of the great reviews. I had the Ruben sandwich which was excellent I would highly recommend it. My dinner partner had the Chicken Prosciutto Panini, it was also good but the prosciutto which is usually served in thin slices and stacked so thick she couldnt bite through it. We took half of her sandwich home when I rebuilt it using 1/2 the amount of prosciutto it was much better. We both got chips with our sandwiches, the crunch was really good the seasoning lets just say was strong, lots of pepper and salt. We would definitely stop in again.
Food was pretty good, but the cheesecake was the best Ive ever had.Nice location, just off the main street. Nice outdoor seating. Large indoor seating area. Very pleasant.
Kaitlyn did a wonderful job and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back
First time here. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was pretty good. I would say the portions were small for the price we paid (side of fruit with sandwich included 3 squares of pineapple and 2 halved strawberries). $30 lunch for 2 and we both had water..
Big city coffee style with small town class. This place has all the options of huge coffee roasters but polite and courteous like you expect in smaller towns. Fresh bakes pies and pastries. The coffee was great, espresso and lattes. They did have food but didnt have time to try. Will be back!
Stopped by for breakfast on the weekend- really quick service considering how busy it was. Amazing food and beverages- highly recommend grabbing a homemade pop tart!
I got theeggs benny Plenty of ham hollandaisesaucewas om at best fruit cup consisted of strawberries and pineapple only table was dirty no onecleaned orcared
Nice place, breakfast was pretty good. Maybe 3 1/2 stars.
When we travel my husband and I make a point of eating out all the bakeries in town, or as many as we can fit in. This was by far my favorite coffee shop/bakery in Sioux Falls. They had a great selection of breakfast and the coffee was really good. The staff was friendly and there are fresh flowers on the tables. There is also a patio you can at sit outside with little fire pits that are lit in the morning all the way through night. Probably a little more expensive then stopping at a Starbucks, but you’re paying for the charm and the unique cuisine!
Great food, but on the spendy side.Coffee is a good price and delicious 👌👌☕☕
I got a Latte and a cinnamon roll and the Latte was super good, the cinnamon roll was a little bit dry but still Greta experience
My boyfriend, our toddler, and I are visiting for the weekend and we ate Josiah’s our first morning here. We plan on getting breakfast here every morning. Haven’t even bothered looking at other places. Everything we’ve ate and drank is excellent. Food and drink comes out quickly considering how busy the place is. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast here was seriously my favorite part of this trip.
We were there for a class reunion. Occupied the large room on the side of business. Large buffet set out of snack foods ( cheese, crackers, fruit, etc.)
Great atmosphere. Large selection of food. Great service.
It is a great place to eat everything they have is very good At a salmon Benedict Very good
We thought the food was a bit overpriced. The staff seemed to be just there. While not rude, they didnt give us a welcoming feeling.
Stopped in for a breakfast business meeting. What a wonderful place. The egg and bacon sandwich was awesome!
Wonderful food and coffee. Get there early as the place is popular!
Had my first bad meal at Josiahs this morning and very disappointed. Whenever I have friends visiting from out of town this is my go to place- because it usually is phenomenal. This morning the biscuits and gravy my friend and I ordered seemed to be just thrown on the plate, they weren’t even hot, not even lukewarm. I also ordered and paid for coffee but person at counter didn’t give me a coffee cup and I had to go back up and ask for it. On top of this- the meal isn’t agreeing with my stomach and the bathroom is my best friend. Yes, I will go back, just chalking this visit up to bad timing-
Big city coffee style with small town class. This place has all the options of huge coffee roasters but polite and courteous like you expect in smaller towns. Fresh bakes pies and pastries. The coffee was great, espresso and lattes. They did have food but didnt have time to try. Will be back! Amazinga
This is a cute little place with lots of space for groups. I got the corn beef hash platter that came with fried eggs. It was very good. By far, the best part of my meal was the bakery items. The toasted raisin bread definitely gets better with a touch of butter. I also got the toasted coconut and honey muffin. This is a hidden gem with the crunchiness from the chopped coconut and slight sweetness from the honey. This is a wonderful place for breakfast. I will definitely be back.
Great modern rustic atmosphere, accommodating staff, quality roast, TONS of food & drink choices (good kids menu), somewhat pricey but huge portions ($10-$15/meal, $4 pastries, etc.). Best part: dogs of all sizes can hang out inside 😍 Easily the best coffee spot in SF.
Delicious food and quick service despite how busy it was! Love that our dog could dine inside with us.
Everytime Ive gone into Josiahs Ive left with a smile on my face. I love the atmosphere inside and the staff has always been very kind. Its a great place to host a small event or just enjoy a low-key afternoon. Being dog friendly is a huge plus!
Great atmosphere, lots of space, super friendly staff and the breakfast food was really good! Visiting Josiah’s really made our mood for a wonderful Saturday!
Great atmosphere, great food, great people!! Would come back again!
The food was wonderful. Absolutely love that Josiahs is dog friendly!
Wonderful atmosphere! You can even bring your leashed dogs. Serves breakfast and lunch all day. Many baked items for your sweet tooth. I had the Reuben which was tasty. My fiance had the Cuban which lacked flavor. We were too full to try what we came there for- the Italian Cream Cake. Next time for sure!
This is one of our favorite places for breakfast. We usually eat here at least once a week. The whole family loves it, including the fur baby. Good keto options, which I love.
I love this place. Great food, great people, and lots of cute puppies. Always clean and always good!
Great atmosphere, awesome menu and fantastic food!! Must go to experience!
Josiahs is awesome! They are in an amazing and large space in downtown Sioux Falls with lots of room for social distancing. You can come here for lunch or stay all day with your laptop. Everything is awesome, but my favourite is the breakfast - like the Greek yogurt and granola bowl with strawberries and blueberries. Their coffee is delicious, and definitely take a piece of one of their cheesecakes home with you.
Nice coffee house, Excellent cinnamon rolls, good coffee. Kali, was very nice to deal with.
Great food, but very busy for a Thursday mid morning.
Beautiful space, nice folks, really good food, great coffee
Holy hell the breakfast pizza 😍😍 and apparently the “lightest and best omelette I’ve ever had” if you come to Sioux Falls and don’t stop here then that might be the biggest mistake you’ve ever made. I wish 6 stars was an option
Higher prices items but nice atmosphere and decent food for the price.
I do love when their food here its amazing! But they are kind of expensive!
Great food. So many things I wanted to try. Nice people.
Excellent food. Coffee was good. The venue is quite large so even though it was busy we didnt have any issues finding a place to sit. Food is ordered at the counter and they bring it out. Food arrived quickly. The place was quite busy and noisy, the acoustics amplified by high ceilings. Could be a good thing, could be bad, depending on your mood! We will be back whenever we pass through Sioux Falls again!
Had a great sandwich and coffee plus being dog friendly was great.
Nice place, great service, make sure you beat the crowd
We stopped by this place on a Sunday-many other options are closed on Sunday’s.The flat bread is amazing! As well as the environment-it’s a super cute spot! There’s lots of seating and window spots.Random deets:The gouda grilled cheese has a very small bit of cheese on thick (mostly) bread-I’d order something else like the steak & gouda flatbread which is incredibly good. The service from one male was great! He had a big smile on, super nice and was quick to clean off tables to make space given a busy day.We ordered fruit with our meal & when I asked about it the female who worked here didn’t think it’d been on our order but brought some-and one of the slices had a bite in it but the remaining three were bite free! The matcha latte is bland when ordered with milk and cold if you’re used to matcha being strong I would say to order something else for more flavor or ask for more matcha in your latte.
Great place for a first date! Good food. Good atmosphere. Good coffee. Nice employees. Clean coffeehouse. Worth checking it out!
