My wife and I visited many dealerships and we always left feeling a little bit icky- because of the pandemic this is not a buyers market, there is little car availability and whatever cars there are sell fast. We would make appointments to see cars and the cars we went to view were often dirty, dented or clearly not well maintained- and the dealerships didn’t need to put in the effort because someone will buy the car as is. My wife has a very busy schedule and had limited time to visit dealerships. She’d call ahead and inquire about a car to see if it was worth it to go visit and see it in person. Often times the salesperson would give her the run around, “why don’t you come in and we can discuss pricing etc.” -Never giving her a direct answer over the phone. This was not the case with Mazda of South Burlington. When they heard that it would be hard for her to visit they offered to let me take the car for the day and drive it out for her to see. They were accommodating, flexible, and direct. All the cars we saw were clean, washed, and well maintained and you could tell that they take great care and pride in their inventory.Special shoutouts go to the staff of Mazda of South Burlington. It truly felt like a friends and family environment. We didn’t ever feel like someone was just trying to make a sale, they truly just wanted us to feel happy. We primarily worked with Eric, who has golden retriever energy and we love it. He is incredibly honest, helpful, positive, and all around a genuine person. Along with Eric we also got to interact with Laird, Chris and Inna. Each one of them was affable, attentive and a joy to work with. We happily recommend Mazda of South Burlington to anyone searching for a vehicle, their inventory is well cared for and their staff is brimming over with positivity and good vibes.-Marilyn & Ben
Everybody was extremely friendly and answered all my questions. They do not put any pressure on you to buy anything. They even stayed late to complete all the purchasing paperwork. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a car - new or used. Best time I have ever had buying a new car.
I would like to give 5 stars for the service here, but an issue came up that gives me hesitation. After dropping my vehicle off for an oil change I received a message with a link to a video from the technician who was doing the service work. The video showed the areas of concern and was quite informative. Then I received another message detailing the recommended work, and associated costs. I opted NOT to do the additional service work. However, the message has toggles next to each item for consideration, and it APPEARS that you need to check them off if you want that particular work done. I was wrong. All the items are default checked, and you need to deselect the work you do not want done. So, to make a long story longer, I mistakenly authorized for ALL the work to be done. A mistake that cost me a couple of thousand dollars. Next time I will speak directly to the service department after receiving a list of recommended work items. Just an FYI for anyone reading this.

From A-to-Z, whatever you need, the people at Mazda in Shelburne are happy to do what it takes to impress. Went in for an oil change ended up needing a Full brake job including rotors. Although I was expecting to have to do this soon I wasn’t really prepared to do it that day but they gave me such a great discount that I couldn’t refuse. The icing on the cake was how quickly they were able to accomplish everything. I believe I was in and out of there in just under two hours. With all of that being done that’s pretty amazing. I highly recommend them for all your Mazda needs.
I had such a wonderful Experience at Mazda. One thing that I loved was they work as a team. Laird was my main sales man, but Marissa is the one who helped with the Delivery! The first time I came in Laird was busy but Ryan was extremely helpful! When you walk into the dealership You can just feel the positive environment they have there. When Chris came over to finalize everything I was happy to tell him how great he is doing with his sales team. I havent seen such a great team in a long time in a dealership. Highly recommend going through Mazda. I love my Mazda In general but it is so much better knowing it came from a dealership that is a team, helpful, and also caring for their customers. My biggest thing that I appreciated the most was how Laird came and brought the papers to my work that had to be sign. I work 12 hour shifts and getting time off is hard, but Mazda was patient and helpful in all the ways they could be! highly recommended. I promise you will not regret!

I was pleased and impressed with my service at South Burlington Mazda yesterday. I arrived a few minutes late because I had mixed up the location and she assured me that was no problem and they got me right in. My granddaughter and I completed lots of puzzles available in the waiting area while I awaiting my tire changeover.
I came in with a few issues. While in the waiting room I was sent a text message to a link. The video attached to the link was of my car and the technician walking me through all the issues he had found. I thought it was amazing! I was finally being shown car parts that I have heard over and over but you nod your head and act like you know what theyre saying. This time I KNEW WHAT HE WAS SAYING! Then Shawna came over with a break down of the cost. So reasonable AND was able to make it a little less expensive somehow. They work WITH you and break it down as if theyre teaching a class. Best experience Ive had getting my car serviced...EVER! Thank you!
Phenomenal experience! We had so much fun! They were honest, let us spend our time looking at vehicles and didn’t push anything higher end. They were focused on what would actually be the best fit for us! This was huge because we just came from a different dealership and I had to ask multiple times to get my own keys back after they evaluated my trade-in. These guys gave me my keys back right after they were done looking at my truck. They gave me a very good and reasonable offer on my trade in and worked with us regarding the value / price. They were very down to earth, not scripted. They let us take time together alone to discuss what we wanted and didn’t push. They waited until we were ready which was huge! We seriously enjoyed our time there and they made it a great experience. I have never been to a dealership where the employees have that kind of character. Eric, the person we worked with was amazing and the General Manager, Chris was also just as great to deal with. We highly recommend these guys!

I actually had a great experience with South Burlington Mazda Service Dept. Kyle was very personable and kept me appraised of the status of my repair service. They were able to perform my oil change service within that one appointment, while I waited-1 1/2 hours. However, an issue with my brakes required a follow-up visit with good news that the repair would be covered under warranty. I am actually glad they are located closer than my other dealership because it saves valuable driving time & gas to get service performed on my Mazda CX-3. Win-win!

Our experience at South Burlington Mazda was exemplary. This contrasts with our experience in THREE other Mazda dealers (where we met sloth, indifference, lack of knowledge, and, even, stupidity). Refreshing, indeed--and they had the model we wanted (which we bought). The place was tidy, friendly, welcoming, and instantly we felt we would be treated as if we mattered, like the mature, responsible adults we are. Our salesperson, Marissa, was just swell: patient, careful, friendly, competent, and blessed with a sense of humor. They took precautions with this virus, the employees all wore mask. And took a video of my car underneath to show me what was wrong with my van. They were all nice and even helped me with my phone. Showed me that my tires were really bad, and needed 4 new tires, plus showed me on video what my brakes looked like and why they didnt pass inspection, so need to replace all my brakes. wasnt too happy about that but I know it needed to be done. For me and my grandkids safety.

Recently purchased a 21 CX-9 from this dealership. It was the most laid back experience I have had at a dealership. They went out of their way to find exactly what we were looking for. I sent two messages via the Mazda website and after a week got no reply. I called them directly, talked with someone, was promised a call back. Another week went by, no return call. I contacted them AGAIN to set my appointment and get some touch up paint. When I arrived for the appointment a week later they didnt have the paint so they sent it to me at no cost for my trouble (hence, why this is not a one star review).A few weeks after my appointment I opened my hatch to find a part just lying there, somehow left from the appointment. I sent this pic and a (third) message through the Mazda site. Yup, you guessed it, no reply.Its hard to do businesses with (let alone rely on) any company that doesnt communicate with you. Especially when they leave mystery parts uninstalled in your vehicle.
Much better than my last experiences under the new management. The new staff member at the front desk was more friendly and gave me an accurate estimate on how long my service would take :). I highly appreciate good communication skills while Im waiting for a time consuming task.

I have a really big deal on used Hyundai Sonata I purchased two years ago from this location. It has been easy and hassel-free to cash in on the free maintenance and state inspection stickers. The price for repairs is reasonable. The service department has some people who clearly communicate and arent looking to drag the last dollar out of their customers.
While I was in the process with them trying to figure out how to fit an extended warranty and tires all into my price point was very stressful, but Tom always called me to give me updates and he always tried to make sure I was happy. When Tom told Chris the head manager I believe all the details Chris called me, and said if you get the extended warranty we will give you the tires. I was very happy and pleased knowing that they all wanted to help me anyway possible. That day I picked my car up and couldnt be happier, but for some reason the low air tire warning light came on. I couldnt call Mazda because it was already after closing hours, but the next day Tom called me and wanted to see how everything was going and told him about the low air tire warning light kept on coming on even after putting air in the tire. Tom told me to come back to Mazda and drop the car off and we will lend you a vehicle until we can figure this out. I do have faith they will help anyway possible, and they truly do care about their customers. Hopefully I dont have to change this at a later point but only time will tell. Thank you again Tom for all your hard work and always trying to figure out away to make everything work. This has definitely has been life changing for me and you guys made this happen.

My experience with South Burlington Mazda is unique, I think, in that I actually purchased a vehicle from several states away! They had the exact vehicle I had been looking for (transmission, year, mileage, color, price, etc...). Id never purchased a vehicle in this manner before and it was honestly a bit stressful on my end, but the team at SB Mazda overall did a good job of being attentive and valuing my business - even from several states away. I even received their local membership and service coupons in the mail. I would recommend them to anyone hoping to find the right vehicle both locally and even a bit further out.

The worst car buying experience Ive ever had!I spent the entirety of this week working with the sales staff to purchase my dream car. I had bought a car from them previously and had a fantastic experience, so I was eager to return.I walked into the dealership knowing exactly what I wanted, and exactly how much I could spend on it. I offered a fair price for the vehicle, and scheduled an appointment to sign for it.I pulled into the store 2 days later to see that my dream car had been sold, and the sales staff-member that I had an appointment with, wasnt there. I was frustrated that they didnt communicate with me that the car had been sold ahead of time. Otherwise, I would have come in at my own convenience to look at other options. Instead, they wasted my time, and insulted me with lies.I gave the GM the opportunity to fix the situation privately by sending him an email explaining the situation. Despite everything, I also made a more than fair offer on a similar vehicle.Instead of addressing and apologizing for the mistakes he and his employees made, he listed excuses, wasted more of my time, and acted as though I knew nothing about car sales.At the very least, Auto Saver Max could have informed me that the car had been sold. Saving me a 4 hour drive to Vermont.I expected to be treated better seeing as I am a return customer. They are the definition of sleezy salesmen, quick sales come before good customer service.
Jan 30, 2021 -Called in, informed the sales team that we were interested in a new vehicle listed for sale on the website. We were told by two different salesmen that the vehicle was available for sale. We asked specifically over the phone whether the vehicle had ever been a part of any loan/rental service, or whether the vehicle had been driven by a dealership employee as a demo. They assured us that the car had not been used for either of those purposes and that it had less than 100 miles on it, accumulated from test drives. We got so far as settling on a sale price for the vehicle over the phone, which the general manager signed off on. They told us to make the 90 minute drive over from New Hampshire to finalize things, so we did.We walked in the door of the dealership to learn that the car was in fact NOT for sale, and that it was currently part of the dealerships loaner program with almost 2000 miles on it (the EXACT QUESTION we asked over the phone). Of course, the salesman Chris claimed that this was a mistake, and was all too happy to try to sell us a different car. Its my belief that this was a marketing ploy to try to get someone into the dealership on the final day of the month, despite knowing that that person had to drive 90 miles to get there!Lets give the dealership the benefit of the doubt for a second, and suppose that this was indeed a mistake. By my count, there are FOUR separate dealership employees who could have prevented this situation from happening. 1) The idiot who listed a LOANER CAR FOR SALE on the website (note, they have had an entire day to correct this mistake since we came in, and the car is still listed for sale. Watch out.); 2) The salesman Ryan, who we made initial phone contact with; 3) The salesman Chris, who we finalized a deal with over the phone; 4) The general manager Chris, who signed off on the deal. All four of these people had the chance to correct this mistake (if indeed it was a mistake... doubtful) before it even happened, but were too careless in their work to realize it.IF YOU DECIDE TO DO BUSINESS WITH SOUTH BURLINGTON MAZDA, TRIPLE TRIPLE TRIPLE CHECK THE DETAILS, as they sure dont. Hope they get their s*** together and you have a better experience than me.

Hassle-free way to sell my car! I had planned on selling my car on Auto Trader. Instead I used the Kelley Blue Book instant offer button from Auto Trader which led me to a cash offer from Autosaver MAX in South Burlington. The process was simple and they bought my car in the Kelley Blue Book range I was looking for. Would recommend to others and would also do this again myself.
I believe I got a reasonably good deal on my new car, and was quite comfortable dealing with Ryan, the genl mgr and the finance mgr. I took a lot of time looking at financing options and they were very helpful and patient as I considered what was best for me.

I agree 100 percent with the last review. HORRIBLE SERVICE . I Tried to buy a car I saw online. Contacted agent MIKE, whom got right back to me with my questions on a Thursday, and set up a call for Friday. He never called me Friday. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, waited and heard nothing until Monday. On Monday I asked a few questions and made a reasonable offer on the car. He said he had to talk to a manager another 24 hours goes by, On Tuesday he comes back with 500 off the price. I like the car, and say OK, but can they register it . He asks ME how much it costs to register, I answered and now its Wednesday afternoon and I still have waited for a call. You cant call him, his voicemail is full, you cant text, he doesnt get back to you, you cant speak to another rep because he started with you. The moral of the story? In 2 hours at another dealership I bought the same car, and its being delivered . I dont know if you didnt want or need my business... but I got the hint. I went elsewhere and was treated like my business was important.
We didn’t end up buying a car from them as we couldn’t find a used one that fit our needs however Tom Erickson was very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely try them out if you are looking for used or new.
