I called the guy to buy a radio that was $150 and told him I would be there right at 5 I just got off work was running a bit late he said it would be perfectly fine I can come in right at 5 and possibly they can try to take card just not cash because there system goes down at 5. I got there right at 4:59 the door was locked but the 2 guys were there they just watched me knock on the door and watched me stand there I called right in front of them as they refused to pick up the phone as if they didn’t just get off of the phone telling me it was okay to be there. Then the one worker in his old red Camaro walks out doesn’t speak a word to me just watch’s me stand there and leave.

So I called earlier today about after market power window I was told they installed for the original owner of my truck. I was told to bring it in so they can see it and was told by the owner that they have to stay financially productive and since my windows wont make them enough they arent interested in helping. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I work in the automotive industry and will make sure all dealerships know how Sound Crafters takes acre of customers.

I bought a 12 year old Audi TT that was still in great condition, but the stereo needed serious updating for a smart phone etc. I was nervous about letting anyone install a stereo and mess up the nearly perfect interior. Older Audis come with a stock Bose stereo so I was also worried that someone without a lot of experience might run into problems. I wanted to make sure the steering wheel controls and all stock dashboard electronics were not at all compromised by a new stereo. So I looked online and found Soundcrafters. They were the highest rated around so I stopped in. I talked to Zach. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I bought a Kenwood double din with Android auto and usb mirroring. The video quality on the unit is great! I recommend it to anyone with an older vehicle looking to upgrade their entertainment system to 2020. Soundcrafters install was exceptional! Not a mark on the interior. The steering wheel controls and stock dashboard electronics work perfectly. They are super pro and worth the wait!!!

I have had issues on and off with the driver side speaker in my truck. I talked to Paul about the issue and he assured me his techs could solve the problem. I was expecting to be there for the long haul today when I showed up for my appointment. Within 30 minutes the tech was bringing the truck around front. Turns out the previous attempts to fix the problem only made it worse by splicing the wires several times and a lousy soldering job on the wire direct to the speaker. A new heavier gauge wire was installed and soldered properly. The speaker works beautifully and the price that was quoted turned out to be less! I could not be happier with my experience with SoundCrafters and would not hesitate to use them in the future. A professionally run operation with excellent customer service. Thank you. Yes Paul, I was remiss in pointing out that Soundcrafters did NOT do the initial installation or the other attempts to fix the problem. Its fixed now thanks to you and your crew and it sounds wonderful!

Horrible customer service I called about a remote start just now knowing that it’s going to be at least $300 willing to spend the money right now ask the guy to give me a ballpark figure told me that he had a show room full of people and he didn’t have time basically to tell me anything that I had to come there. I bought a new 2019 Ford Raptor. Loved the truck, but the stock stereo was weak. I sat with Carlos at Soundcrafters to discuss what I was looking for in a system, my likes and dislikes of my prior systems, what kind of music I listen to, and budget. After about a 45 minute discussion with sampling different components in the shop, and ultimately going with his recommendations, we decided on a final system. First and foremost, the fit and finish of the installation was excellent. This is a professional outfit. In addition, it’s the best sounding system I’ve ever had ( I’ve had several high dollar systems in my cars over the years). It sounds like front stage at a concert. The clarity is incredible. It sounds like live music in an amphitheater. The bass is strong, and separately adjustable. Without a doubt, Carlos is very experienced and knowledgeable in this business. I recommend Soundcrafters if you want something really special for your car stereo. It’s not cheap, but worth it if you really enjoy music.

I choose this place based off of the many reviews. Ive read both 5 stars and 1 star ratings.TLDR: they did great work on a 2015 Subaru wrx. I recommend this place.About a couple weeks ago, I called up Soundcrafters and immediately was talking to Paul. He was very honest and open to me about his work and recommendations. I had brought in my own headunit purchased off Amazon which they installed. They informed me on their policies of installing items outside of their shop, to which I fully understood and agreed to proceed. My s/o missed the sound quality from her 4runner that she no longer has due to an accident. The sound quality was poor on her 2015 Subaru wrx that she picked up and wanted to get that fixed asap. In went a Kenwood 5 channel amp and downfiring woofer, to match the Alpine headunit and Kicker CS door speakers. They got us in a week after a consolation.After the job was done the following week, Paul reached out to us and wanted to know how happy we were with it. She was very happy with the sound and bass, thus, so was I. Several days goes by and shes driving her car around and suddenly the audio completely stops working. We were informed that the sub was fried and there was a loose connection on a door speaker from my installation prior to seeking out Soundcrafters. Paul took care of us and got us back on our way and we havent had any issues since. I plan on coming back to add a little bass to my truck next.

These people are superb! They did a stellar job installing a complicated Audio/Video suite for us in 2002. When we needed assistance with an update recently (even though they dont do these types of installs now), they were very helpful in finding a supplier to solve a difficult problem for us. I had an amazing experience at Soundcrafters from the time I walked through the front door. We had a JL audio system installed on a golf cart and it turned out amazing. At no time did I feel like I was being persuaded to just buy equipment I was given reasons why the equipment would be best for my application. Although this endeavor was pricey I was treated very fairly and during the process was sent multiple updates with photos. World class experience!!!

My wife & I bought a 15 passenger Ford Transit van with the intent of gutting the seats out and doing a basic conversion. The first thing we wanted to do was upgrade the sound system. We researched the internet and found Soundcrafters in Daytona.When we went there, we met Anthony, the store manager. We went over with him in great detail the sounds we were looking for. As we are right around 60 years old, we grew up with a lot of 70s, 80s, and 90s music. Anthony hooked us up with a system with all Kenwood components (speakers, receiver, amplifier). As our discussions progressed, it ended up being a one-stop-shop for us. Anthony hooked us up with all black Rhino alloy wheels, 5% blackout window tinting, Lifeproof choice oak flooring, leather captains seats, and a refrigerator/microwave cabinet commodity inside the double doors behind the drivers seat. There is also a 110V exterior plug-in for camping that not only powers the fridge and micro, but also charges the battery, with (2) extra plug-in sockets. The quality of Anthonys workmanship is outstanding. The time and effort the whole crew at Soundcrafters put into our little dream is phenomenal. The first day we got it home, we actually parked it in the driveway and stayed in it listening to music until midnight!! Weve since taken it to Flagler Beach, backed it into a spot facing the ocean, reclined the leather sofa/bed (electric by the way!), and turned on the tunes and watched the sunrise. The possibilities are now endless. As we both recently retired, travelling is on the horizon. Thanks again to Soundcrafters for making our dreams come true!

Best Service in Daytona. At the beginning of this year I went in asking them to build custom sub boxes in the trunk of my new hatch back and a day later they were seamlessly installed in both sides- looked pretty much stock and I got a ton of compliments. Fast forward six months, that car has been totaled and after buying a new sedan I decided that I wanted to try the install by myself to save a little money. So after 6 hours of totally destroying my cars radio and wiring I was at the front door of Soundcrafters waiting for them to open so that I could get help. They were able to fit me into their busy schedule, fix what I had messed up, and complete the install by the end of the day. I recommend Soundcrafters to everyone I come by now because of their awesome employees, great customer service, and (now that I’ve attempted to do what they do) totally fair prices.

First time there had friendly service and he explained everything to me about the automatic starter i needed for my vehicle.

We went to Soundcrafters with a radio issue that had been a problem for 90 days. We expected the worst! We had been diagnosed at another business to the tune of $600 for the repair. After turning over our keys and waiting about 30 minutes we were told it was just a loose connection and everything was now working perfectly. Ima just start off saying i took my car to get my radio fixed to 4 different places and they couldn’t figure out how to rewire and fix it i went one day to sound crafters was greeted by Anthony and he explained in detail how to get my radio working again and walked me thru the steps they would have to take to fix it, customer service was excellent, took them about two hours to get my cars radio working properly again and added the cool features that came with it, im beyond pleased with the work they’ve done and the way they did business with me, definitely recommend.

Everything done right! I recently purchased a 2007 Lexus SC 430. A dream car for me. My only problem was that it came with 2007 electronics. I know some would say..original equipment, classic. But I am a techie by nature, and I needed a backup camera, Apple CarPlay, a modern set of speakers, etc. I called a couple electronics crazy friends, and their recommendation was Soundcrafters, and I am thrilled with the results. I started with a query on the website and received a response from Paul Papadeas, the owner. We talked via email and phone, and he asked about my musical preferences to help in component and speaker selection. Then I went into his business to get a demonstration of the components we had discussed.One week later I took my baby for the installation. The staff explained everything they would be doing, including placement of USB ports, and they even said they could retain the mechanical cover from the old unit, so my dashboard would still look “classic”,The result is phenomenal! The sound I hear when I listen to all my music selections far exceeds my expectations. And they returned everything that they had removed from the car...and suggested that, should I ever decide to sell, I have the option of reinstalling all original equipment.And finally, the icing on the cake is the after installation service. I can return as needed to have someone explain (i.e., reexplain lol) all the bells and whistles that make this such an outstanding, fun “toy”.A great experience, and thanks to the high level of Soundcrafter staff expertise, I hope to enjoy this sound system and this car for years.

Great guys who do nice work

Had the guys here do a simple job involving a custom dock for my phone. They took the time to talk with me and help me realize what I wanted to do, and then very fairly priced just a small portion of the work, as I wanted to save some money by doing most of it. Very friendly and professional team, couldnt be happier to have done business here.

RIDICULOUS PRICING. I have a 2015 ford mustang and wanted to see how much it would cost to install RGBWA LED Boards. I was told it would take nearly a whole day and it would cost me $800. Now idk who is throwing away money like that to this organization for a rather simple job. I ended up taking it to another private business that did it for me in less than 4 hours for $125. 125 is a lot less than 800. I waited 25 minutes just to be given an estimate that only the rich could afford. I cant imagine how many people are robbed here on a daily basis. I will never come here again to have work done on my vehicle.

I was totally shocked at some of the bad reviews here. I had an awesome experience with Soundcrafters recently. I was having a difficult time finding someone to install an XM set up for my motorcycle. Soundcrafters did an awesome job and they were professional and friendly. The owner went out of his way to deliver great customer service. There is a reason they have been around for over 30 years! There were a few difficult issues with my bike, but Soundcrafters staff persevered and did an excellent job. The radio is perfect! I guess the only people who leave feedback are those who are not satisfied. Great job Soundcrafters!

These guys were great - Our stereo system became disconnected in this 1974 beetle. They didnt dismiss us because it was a minor job. Soundcrafters took care of it with professionalism and minor expense! Back to cruisin the beach with tunes!! Thank you Soundcrafters!

One never knows how good a retailer is until there is a problem. Anyone can sell stuff, but not everyone who sells stuff has integrity, and is willing and able to invest in good will after the sale (and warranty) is history. I purchased a rear-view camera/mirror accessory for a 2014 Suburu Outback over four and a half years ago. It worked great until last week when the mounting bracket broke off. When I returned to Sound Crafters for help in remounting my now useless camera/mirror I was advised that the model I had was discontinued, and parts were not in stock. I was advised by Moe Sabourin, the general manager, that he would try to find the bracket. He also advised me that, if he could not find one, he would attempt to repair my broken bracket. If that failed, he would sell me a replacement unit at cost. There was, obviously, a considerable difference in price for these options. A couple of days later I received a call from Moe with the good news. He had located a replacement part, and I could come in to the store any time to have it reinstalled. This was the low cost option. How about that? When I drove away today with my fully functioning new unit I was one happy customer. This is the way a business should be run. And I appreciate it. In this day and age, when too many merchants are only too willing to extract the last buck, it is refreshing to find a place where you can buy in confidence, and know that customer satisfaction is more than lip service. I had two of my cars customized with sound systems at Soundcrafters. One is a GMC Yukon and the other is a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. Paul, the owner, and his staff were outstanding through every aspect of this procedure. This is the company to send your car to if you demand quality work. There customization skills in making my system fit and function properly were also impressive. No matter what level of system you are looking for these guys will recommend the best options available to you. Simply put, they are the best company doing this type of work in Volusia County. I have a 2018 Mustang which, when purchased, didnt have navigation. I purchased a Kenwood system from Soundcrafters, which they installed. The new unit included A/C controls. When I used the A/C in the car, it seemed to cycle through cold - warm - and cold again. The team at Soundcrafters patiently checked the unit over and over to see where the problem might be. Each time I walked in, they greeted me with a smile and then went about the troubleshooting again. After confirming some information with the dealer, I determined that the problem was with the Ford system and not the vendors face plate.I appreciate their patience and determination in trying to solve the problem, even to the point of including the vendor in research. I had my stereo system installed here a few years ago. The experience overall was not good. Nothing about it was great, but the reason for my two-star review is because they made a mistake and charged me too little for the speakers they installed. I left and thought it was all over, until I got a call asking me to bring the car in so they can swap out my speakers for the ones I bought, or I need to pay the difference. I lived in Miami at the time, so that was a tall order. But I still did it. When I went in, they acted like I did something wrong and instead of thanking me for coming in to straighten it out, or apologizing for the inconvenience, they made a comment like we have to work something out or were going to have to call the police. Thats what pissed me off!I would never go back there.

I bumped into Soundcrafters at a motorcycle event in Daytona and had them do some upgrades to my system. Paul had to go through some extra hoops to get some components quickly because my schedule left the timing tight! All in all they did a first class job, a very clean installation showing quality workmanship. After several months a small issue raised its ugly head and I couldnt be happier with the remote service they all provided. They worked with a manufacturer and guided me through what could have been a pain. Thanks everyone there at Soundcrafters and without a doubt would highly recommend them.

They will try to rip you off!I called about a price on a new head unit for my wifes 2014 Toyota Rav 4. I was told I needed to come in if I wanted an exact price despite giving all the vehicle and stereo information (including model number) over the phone. Once there they again verified the exact information I told them over the phone. On my original call I was quoted $700-$800 for the full install and parts. The price then went up to $950 once I was in the store. I was told that was because I needed a $190 connector to keep the backup camera working. The employees refused to give me a breakdown of what parts where needed and the price of each (other than the $190 connector). I went home and found the EXACT same unit as well as the wiring harnesses needed including the $190 connector (all the connectors together were $75 online) for $411 out the door (with warranty) from a large online car audio seller. This included them connecting the wiring on the harness for me. Im sure Soundcrafters could have gotten the same prices (if not lower) than I did. So, they wanted to charge me well over $500 for 1-2 hours of work. I read the other reviews they have but thought maybe it was an exaggeration that they were overpriced, as I understand its a business and they have to make a profit. Its definitely not an exaggeration. As a side note, my original call was with the owner and he seemed fairly helpful and more reasonable. I was originally told by him that installation would only be $110 plus parts. But they would not get him so I could speak to him regarding the pricing. Was told Carlos could adjust the pricing and thats the best he could do. Very disappointed with the experience overall.Edited to add: The owner did contact me with a breakdown of the parts and labor. Labor charge was nearly triple what I was told it would be originally. Parts were grossly overpriced, every part was more expensive than I could have gotten individually on Amazon. (never mind the package price I got online for under $100) He tried giving me a line of bs about not being able to get the parts for those prices. Everyone knows someone buying large numbers of parts will get a discounted rate, not pay more than retail. Plus, I got all of my parts, and the radio unit out the door for $411. Oh, he also tried to tell me install time was about 3 hours. I did it myself for the first time ever with a youtube video in under 2. Everything was super simple, plug and play. Just to clarify the pricing, I was quoted over $950 when I went into the shop. I did argue a little and mention I was paying cash, which is when they dropped it to around $870. So, if you plan on using them for anything, be sure to do your research FIRST! They will try to suck every dollar they can out of you and act like they are giving you a fair, honest price. They are like the shady car salesman of the audio world. BEWARE!

Just had Sound Crafters install a new amp and 4 speakers on my 2012 Victory Crosscountry motorcycle. Couldnt be happier with the install and the time it took was way shorter than I expected. Bike week, Im back!

I recently went to SOUNDCRAFTERS in South Daytona Beach, and both Anthony (service) and Paul Papadeas, the owner, for many many many years, helped me with my faulty audio issues with my Porsche.. I was so impressed with their knowledge and helpfulness that I decided to write a review - which I rarely do. More than helping me and knowing exactly what to do for my semi-complicated problem, they were both very, very honest insofar as what I needed to do. They even put me directly in touch with their supplier, phone number and email, and gave me the opportunity to buy what I needed at a lower cost. I would never even think for a moment about going to the Porsche Dealer in Maitland for any (non-warranty) audio issues with my Porsche. Dont hesitate - go to them for your audio needs for any auto.
