The people there are so very nice. I will always have great things to say about Harbor Ministries. Respectful and always willing to help you in any way.All of my donations are going straight to them. They help people get back on their feet.They also have low prices!
Okay let me tell you about this place I go to Pasadena wishes you know a little stretch of road between Texas city in Pasadena but I go to Pasadena to go to this place I end up spending anywhere from 200 to $1,000 and believe me theyre very inexpensive and the quality of some of that stuff is top dollar for example I bought a $900 rug for $30 I bought a headboard is solid mirror in wood and a beautiful beautiful for $40 and I bought and so much stuff there I tell a lot of people here in Mount out about it and Ive already taken four different people who all agreed with me this place is like no other thrift store Ive ever been to

I needed 2 couches and an ottoman removed from my house due to new furniture being delivered. I called on a Wednesday and they said they would be able to pick it up that Friday. They asked for pictures which I sent. I was called 30 minutes before showing up which was nice so I had time to make it home from my job to meet them there. What they didnt tell me was there would be a chance they wouldnt take my couches upon arrival. They came in, looked them over and decided they were in good enough shape. After taking one of the couches outside ready to go on the truck, they decide it wont sell at their store. If I would have known ahead of time there was a chance they might decide on sight not to take them, then I wouldnt have gone through with it. I had to scramble to find someone else to take them. Everyone I talked with and dealt with was nice and professional, but maybe they should ask for better pics if they are going to be picky about their selections.
Good place for hidden treasures
It may look small on the outside but theres A LOT more in the inside. You can find anything you can think of such as furniture, kitchen supplies, books, clothing, and much more.

This place had great stuff. Only been here one time. I live here in Pasadena where the store is located. We were in luck when we visited; they were having a half off sale. I have included a picture of the three bracelets that the man sold to us; he have us a deal on them. It was $2.00 for all three of them. We got boots, two pairs of shorts, (one was Nike brand!) Two flowery tank tops, a flowery, soft, belt; a short black dress (with sleeves..) all for about $16. More pics coming probz.

Very satisfied!!! Bought 2 floor lamps that looked brand new for a real low price. Very, very nice manager, employee who gave me very good service. Was even walked to my car and put items in car for me. The furniture all looked very new & the prices were very low. I lost everything in Hurricane Harvey and l believe l will do all of my shopping at this place. Instead of 5 stars, l give this place a 10 star rating.
I havent been able to really check the whole store out yet. Been in a rush both visits. I did get a chance to use the dressing rooms and they could have been cleaned up a little. The one I was in had broken glass on the floor from the mirror. The had a great selection of used boots and clothes from what I looked through. Will be returning

I set up time for them pick up my used furniture and kitchenware. I actually set an appointment online with another charity to pickup and they never showed or followed up. So definitely go with harbor ministry!!! They were the best. They called me the week prior, the day before and 20 minutes before arrival to confirm appointment pick up. Also easy to reach them by phone if i had a question. Every person a spoke to was welcoming, kind and eager to help. They took all my gently used furniture except a few where my puppy chewed on the furniture. They were patient, detailed, organized, friendly and quick in loading up. I will use them again.
Quality stuff, helpful staff and they negotiate. Money goes to a Christian rehab.

The store is not huge, and the clothing does take patience to look through. Only downside is I do find items damaged/stained with stains that very clearly wont come out, so you have to deal with that possibility, but sometimes, you can find some GREAT stuff. I have found some very EXPENSIVE designer brand items in there, undamaged.Just be patient.All the men know me and my father by now, we go almost every Tuesday, when the clothing is discounted to 50% off.I wish the shoes were included in that discount...but, I understand it lol.

It appears my whole review got deleted so Im gone try this again. This place was one of my favorite places up until yesterday, mattress man made it my least favorite place this morning warranting this review. So I fell on hard times after leaving my unhealthy marriage. I am very greatful for any donations I received, I was informed by a employee there who was great😉 that they donated to families in need. To him I didnt look like I was in need. But he heard me out and helped me! Now I have purchase beds from this ministry before no problem ( mattress man worked with me on the prices because I really didnt have it at the time) yesterday I took in a letter stating I was in a battered woman program. I thought god sent me here for help. Thank you god! Well honey they bought me all of there trash. Full size mattress and box what was infested so bad with bed bugs they was jumping off as I was spraying ( and they sale mattresses new from $100-399) a grill that was a fire hazard ( got to see these pics if I can post them) a toaster with roach and mouse droppings which I was told to clean by mattress man. ( you feed your kids out of that buddy) a TV with roaches crawling out. So I called to tell them to come it back, they didnt answer because they knew they was wrong! So this morning I stop in not mad still appreciative to inform them of the issue. Oh someone pissed in mattress man coffee he was mad lol who cares tho I was still being nice because I planned to donate 10k to this organization so they could help other woman and men in need. But when I asked to speak to pastor who was in his office right behind the register listening to everything and he refused that blew my mind! Im trying to figure how does a pastor not want to settle this and come out if hes for the community? Anyways a little about me I was married a very long time owning a half of million dollar company divorcing is simple when there is no assets! I know me driving up in a BMW didnt make me look in need but you should never judge a book by its cover! The fact that neither one of them cared showed me that this place is ran off donations and they are selling the good stuff for a profit and wont give back to the same community that keeps them above and moving! Pastor and mattress man just know God would never bless me to lose the little I have! But he would expose to me where to donate too and this ministry isnt one! Give a little dont just take and that includes the rotation of your collection place!!! God bless you all. And if anyone is in need there are other places that will treat you better! Horrible cat urine smell, I couldnt stay long because my eyes were watering. Aisles are too tight for a cart and no air conditioning. I was sweating. Didnt want to buy anything fabric because it probably absorbed the smell.

Im scared to leave this review thinking that all those hidden gems Ive found will not be so available next time I visit. Kind of all over the place with organization (which there really isnt any), but worth the dig.
For the most part the prices are a little to high.
Donate please! especially if you have any childrens clothing to donate please they help people that are from drugs abuse and alcohol abuse to get back on their feet again and make a change especially when theyre trying to get a job
Scheduled donation pickup online. Website said that we would receive a phone call up to 48 hours in advance of pickup day, did not receive call at all. Tried calling donation pickup line several times the day before, no one ever picked up and the voicemail box was full so we couldnt even leave a message. Take your donations elsewhere.
