This has been my first time working with Hurricane Glass. If you don’t have the time to micromanage, don’t do it! They have been a disappointment thus far. I’ve not yet received my glass ordered so I cannot speak to the quality or it’s installation, but the service this company has offered has been hard to believe, and very difficult to work with up until now. Upon asking for a 50% job deposit they assured me the job would be completed within 5 to 7 business days. Over thirty days later, no glass, and no firm delivery date. Delays… understandable, but they have been just another example of a company choosing to avoid communication rather than delivering bad news. We have encountered numerous delays prior to delivery which is always understandable in construction, but the problem is, the little to zero effort to communicate when appropriate. We’ve had to call and ask for updates almost daily. Each time there is a new delay for a new reason. We’ll be calling again tomorrow. I hate writing a bad review but there are just too many companies out there trying to make it and the good ones should get the business.

Had them cut a piece of window pane and it fits perfect they package it in cardboard so that it would be safe for travel I recommend them very highly

We had a complete shower install and one shower door done yesterday on a new construction project down in Matagorda. The turned out so incredibly perfect. My showers were odd sized so Hurricane Glass & Shower came out and measured then had them made to fit. The installer did a great job of insuring they were aligned straight and sealed properly. They are extremely sturdy too.From my first contact with Hurricane Glass & Shower I have been very impressed with their staff and the entire process. All of my questions and concerns were addressed and answered with complete understanding and patience. I would definitely use them again and I highly recommend this company for your shower projects too.

I placed a glass order in April and it is currently July. I keep having to call every week to check on my order and they always said the problem is with the glass manufacturer, never their fault. They did everything the could and they will keep me updated. However they never call back and I still have to keep calling. Terrible.
I DO NOT write reviews but I felt compelled in this case. We have a broken window and I called the company on a Sunday. March 28th to be exact. They were promptly able to come out the next day the 29th to measure my window and I was told that the replacement would take 3-5 days. 2 weeks later, after numerous calls, I was finally told they would be coming to install. They came and installed only to tell me the measurement that THEIR staff took was incorrect and they would have to order another glass. Tech promised they would put a 2-day rush on it. Its April 22nd almost one full month later and it still has not been completed. I have paid a deposit and the receptionist insist it is due to the manufacturer. If that be the case then I would suggest you tell your customers up front that installation is taking longer than anticipated rather than saying 3-5 days and now we are almost one month out and the job is still not complete. They measured incorrectly AND did not deliver in the time frame they said. Not to mention we have to constantly call them for updates. There is far too much competition in Houston to be aggravated with a subpar company! Save yourself a headache and find a different company. I sure wish I did.
Contacted Hurricane to get a windshield and also to get a bedcover for my truck. Hurricane was able to do both replace my 2020 Dodge Truck windshield and install a Bed Cover for the lowest prices out of five different vendors I contacted.The service was professional and on time. Communication is excellent as Hurricane contact me when the windshield and the bed cover came in.After installation, they gave me a through walk thru and I have been happy ever since.Definitely recommend this vendor for your wind shield and truck accessory additions or replacement.

Had the worst experience with the so called professional technician and office management. The tenure technician would not install the sliding mirror closet door because he didnt feel comfortable installing the sliding door because of the age of the railing. I agree.. .the railing had its better years. He could have attempted to install(like I did) the door and have us sign a waiver or agreement. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out that I could adjust the wheels enough to place the door in its rails...Once I had the wheels in place, I adjusted the wheels and the door moves like its brand new...a little rust and small dents but the railing has many more years..

Do not bother doing business with this company. I have been waiting 4 weeks for a simple glass replacement that I was told would take 3-5 days. They do not call when they say they will, they no call-no show for appointments, and have overall horrible customer service.
These guys saved my butt! I was doing a window glazing repair and accidentally got a small one inch crack in one of the panes while removing a glazing. That one inch crack grew to about a foot! I called another place and they wanted about $400 to fix it... I thought that was way too high. I found Hurricane on HomeAdvisor and they were pretty reasonable and seemed hungry to get my business. It did take them a little longer than promised to get it done and communication could have been a little better, but the glass was as good as new and the customer didnt even have to be home. They did good work at a fair price and Im happy.
I made a special order glass and received exactly what I ordered. The employees are very friendly and my order arrived sooner than I expected.

I have been working with Desiree of your company to replace our insulated glass panels from our windows that have gone cloudy and she has been wonderful to work. Rickey came out to measure them and was so impressed with how thorough he was looking on also how they are going to removed the old panels so they can install the news one. Now I cant wait to have Rickey to do the installation since I feel very comfortable with his years of experience and his work so far.
Wow these guys know there stuff. From the moment I called this company I felt so much better. I spoke with a man named Roy, He was so helpful over the phone. He was able to get a service Tec out to my location right away. Then today when two of there workers came to remove and replace the broken window I was so pleased on how professional these guys were. They did an Amazing job. In no time they had my huge storefront window replaced. Such a beautiful job. I cant believe how fast and such a clean job they did. Not one piece of glass on the floor. needless to say the new window looks great. Thank you so much Hurricane Glass for having such caring and professional employees. These guys were simply fantastic to deal with. I called yesterday and got an accurate quote and Ricky and Jorge came out first thing this morning. Please be advised that the manager for this company was very rude and unprofessional. I would highly suggest that you do not conduct business with this company. As a customer, we have the right to do business with other companies, but this is not possible because this company had already charged 1/2 of the cost of the services to be rendered which made it difficult for me to cancel the services due to their lack of professionalism. People who are employed at a company need to understand customer service and this company definitely lacks customer service and professionalism.
Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I have dealt with Mickey on numerous occasions and can fully vouch for her calm and steady customer management skills. I had some extensive work done with these guys and had a very good experience. Mine is a historic house with old windows. The two gentlemen from Hurricane did a good job of fixing a broken window and caulking to seal the windows fully.We were doing this work during the rainy season and the guys had to come back a few times to finish all the windows. I didnt experience any of the lapsed appointment issues that the others were complaining about.I also had glass work done for my showers and kitchen cabinets. Hurricane had ~$500 lower prices than the nearest bidder.I have already recommended them to a friend whos working on a project 10x the size of mine.. Wishing these guys well.
I have to agree that the customer service here is not good. I called to request a quote on a window repair. I had a leaky window and wanted someone to come out and performA water test. I should have known that this experience was going to be bad when I asked the lady on the phone how much it would be. Her reply was “our tech will have to come out and evaluate it and them give you a price.” Ummm i had called other companies and everyone else was able to give a price via the phone. Against my better judgement, I set the appointment. When the tech came, he started telling me how they were going to replace the window. I stopped him and told him that I have a leak and just needed a water test for now. His reply was “our office told you we could do that?” At this point, I realized the employees here are clueless. The tech stated he would get back to me with a quote. Guess who never heard from them again?? Would not ever call this place again
I have been working with Hurricane Glass for years and have always had a positive experience. I just recently had hurricane come measure for mirrors and the tech was great and working with the office team is a pleasure!
I had aluminum frame that I wanted to be fitted around a 1/4 in. Sheet of glass. Company was more than happy to take my money up front. After five months and a dozen phone calls, this ridiculously clueless company told me time after time that other customers were more important than me and that they had no one to do it. Half the time I called they couldnt even locate the job. Ten promises to call me back, never one call! Finally, they told me it was ready and when I went to pick it up, there was the empty frame stuck in a corner. No apologies for wasting my time. I recommend this company to NO ONE. worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I could give less that one star, I would.
I had an interior office window installed by Hurricane glass. Mickey was my service agent and she was helpful every step of this process. She always answered my calls and returned all my calls immediately. She did a great job for me and I am working with her on a new project. Thank you Mickey for the great service.
This ridiculously clueless company told me time after time that my order will take about less then 2 months. Promises to call me back, never one call! I have been trying get a hold of a supervisor apparently they only have one and the owner. Well after calling week after week after week, i can never get a call back, NOT one call. Customer Service is a NO, the most horrendous service EVER!!!!! I recommend this company to NO ONE. worst customer service I have ever experienced. The owner needs to READ all the reviews or he/she just dont care what customers have to say about his business and maybe just maybe that is the reason he has a person like Micki running his business!!!! The staff do not communicate well with one another. I brought my window frame so they could install the new double pain glass in the original frame. They order it I and got the glass after waiting over week. The call me on Monday 02/11/2019 telling that the window is ready to be pick up. I got there this morning 02/12/2019 and the glass is not installed in the frame. It made me angry because I had to get up early this morning and jump all kinds of hoops because I had to get to work. I asked for a full refund because they were not efficient in completing the job as agreed. I was so excited to finally get my window and this happened.
Amy was very unprofessional. She clearly did not want my business and argued with me over my order. This company will not get my business.Update: now the company has posted a response. This company’s customer service is horrendous. When I ordered my replacement windows I was very clear that I had a deadline for installation. They said they could do it. They showed up after noon on the last day of my timeframe and installed half of the windows. Every time I have called to check on the progress of my job I was treated like my business was a imposition and I was lied to twice about installation dates. To be fair the three windows they have managed to install are nice and the installers were component and polite. But dealing with this office personnel will raise your blood pressure.

I was hesitant to use them because of past reviews. I decided to give them a chance because they were the cheapest and fastest. I am so glad I used them! They were out the same day and replaced the window glass. I will definitely use them again.

I ordered glass top for my coffee table, dinning table and console that I had bought from Cantoni. they are very smooth and delicate so I thought to get them a glass top to not scratch the surface. I ordered them last Friday and they delivered it today, Thursday 6 days later. Desire was very nice and helpful she texted me a few picture of how my glass top would look like. the 2 gentleman who delivered the glasses were very nice. I asked them many times to lift the glasses to clean them. and they were very nice and careful to not damage the furniture or the glasses. Before I ordered the glasses I called like 3 other glass shop and Hurricane glass gave me the best prices. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future.
Terrible customer care. Very rude on the phone. A lady called Mikey (guess this is a wrong spelling of her name but I care less) needs to be trained on customer interaction because she has zero understanding of the word customer.You will loose customers with such people in your business.

The manager named Mikki is rude and unprofessional. She thinks because she has been employed as a manager at this company for 29 years, this gives her the right to be rude to customers. This company lacks communication with customers. If I was informed that the blinds would need to be removed prior to the technician arrival, I would have removed the blinds. I never received a phone call to schedule an appointment when the windows arrived. I had to call them and discovered that the technician was en route to my house. Upon arrival, the technician informed me that the blinds would need to be removed. He informed me he was going to leave and I could schedule another appointment once the blinds were removed. To my understanding, someone from the office informed the technician to leave instead of repairing another window in which this window did have a blind, but the blind didn’t prevent the technician from repairing the window. My question to Mikki was, “why did someone tell the technician to leave instead of repairing the other window while I remove the blinds in the other windows?” I had a total of 3 windows that needed to be repaired. I explained to Mikki that I have waited a month for the windows to arrive. Her response was, “we don’t know what you have going on at your house!” I explained to her that if I didn’t install the blinds, people would be able to look inside of my house and if I knew that the blinds needed to be removed prior to his arrival, I would have removed them. This is a lack of communication and lack of professionalism. I am the consumer and Mikki didn’t attempt to remedy the situation. She made the situation worse! Lastly, I contacted the office the next day and spoke with Roy, assistant manager, who was polite and professional. I discussed this matter with him and made the final payment. I refused to speak with Mikki due to her lack of professionalism; therefore, I ignored her phone call. In regards to the response from the owner about me not making the final payment in cash is true because I refused to give the technician cash after this experience. Please be advised that I have made the final payment.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. 3 WEEKS AND STILL NO MIRROR. I initially hired this company because they were the quickest to respond to the home advisor request. They came out fairly quickly to measure the mirror. When the came to do the first install, they stated they measured incorrectly. The crew suggested they try cutting the mirror on site. They use my back deck to try and cut down the mirror so it would fit. Result: glass shards and no mirror. Following week they came back out to install the mirror and the screwed up the measurement again. Following week they tried to install the mirror and this time the cut out for the sconces were screwed up. They were suppose to come out today to do the install for the 4th time, and guess what, apparently the mirror broke when they were loading the truck. But no one called me. I had to call them to get an estimate. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wasted 3 weeks and no mirror. Ive asked for a refund.

Worst company ever! Poor customer service, Micky and Desire....never returns calls and never know what’s going on! The owner never returned my call after several attempts! I was only replacing 1 Home window and it took over 4 months. July-November! The tech never showed up when they were expected, never received a phone call to let me know they were not showing up! They came out 6 times to measure a window and still got it wrong! The “final job” is extremely tacky and messy...there is caulking all on the actual window!! Please stay far away and go with a company that’s capable of doing the job!
Yesterday was the last day that I will sit and wait for these guys not to show up. My husbands been telling me in the months Ive been waiting that they werent going to fix it, they already have the money, they dont care. Ive been patient and nice every time I call, and here I am months later with an almost $2000 shower walls that have more play than a plumbob. There is a reason they are the cheapest, do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for someone else.
This company was a rock star when our store was burglarized during the night! The thief busted out our glass doors to gain entry. Hurricane sent a technician to our business at 3:30am and the glass was replaced within 30 minutes! So thankful for such a responsive and professional company! They have our business from here on out!
Very poor customer service took these people 3 long months too custom cut a oval shape glass for my coffee table .They never called me once and told me why it was taking too long I had to call them and it was bs after bs .Those ladies working in there are all smart asss . They are real quick to take your money and really slow to get your work done I can go on and on worth of crap I had to deal with this company and lies the those woman tell me but for what they know who they are and they know who I am and I dont care just wanted to save someone time from dealing with these people and my glass still looks like crap .

Worst customer service and will never do business with them again. In April 2016, I placed an order for commercial storefront glass and a few interior and exterior doors. Paid them half up front to start the job and the other half was suppose to be paid when the job was complete. It is now the end of September 2016 and they still have not completed the job. Every time I call, I am told we will finish it this week and this has been going on for months. I had no choice but to dispute the charges on my credit card since they took the initiative to charge the second half of the charges without completing the job. Very bad business practices.

Worst place to do buisness, no professionalism only when the want to take your credit card over the phone!I ordered a glass for my table top and I specifically told Roy that I wanted the high polished finish (which he said there was no extra cost as compared to the other finishes) and he asked me for the dimensions, and then he sold me when I told him I was eerie about giving my card over the phone he said theres nothing to worry about this company has more than 25 years in buisness, trust me so I did and I gave him my info, this was on a Monday, then he tells me it will be ready and out for delivery on Wednesday, Wed comes I never got a call, had my wife waiting I called them the said Thursday now, my wife waited and no phone call, so I called and they said Friday, by this time we were very disappointed, Friday comes I called in the morning and they told me it will be delivered 3-5pm so we waited till 5 and I called them, they were closed and the operator answers and said the would give the service truck a call and have him call me back, guess what the never called so I called the operator (tamika or something similar was her name)back and told them I wanted a refund, the operator was so rude and didnt care what I was going thru with them. I went to other companies to check prices and all of them said the high polished finish was more expensive by then I knew Roy had made a price mistake he had charged me for the pencil finish. Monday comes and to my surprise they called to say they were on their way to my house, I was already tired and just said, they took it to the house and it was Wrong finish like a pencil finish and the edges were sharp in some parts. They argued with my wife saying this is what you ordered my wife immediately showed them a pic of the hi polished finish we ordered, they were thinking she was ignorant, she did not accept the glass, so they took it back. I CALLED THE COMPANY AT LEAST 20X ASKING FOR MY REFUND, I kept on being passed to different receptionist and they would tell me the lady in charge of accounts is not here but I will leave a note in her desk this happened like 10x till finally one month later Amy decides to refund my $. Never doing buisness with Hurricane Glass this was my first and last time. Thanks for reading

They came a take measurements, but i tried a lot of time to call and obtqin the quote and they just said they going to call me back, and im still waiting. I just try to give them a chance bcs there is a lot of bad review for thei bad service, now I believe. Bad for the owner
Worst company ever. I called them out to replace 5 windows. They came and did all the measurement and given the quote for $1900 then they only replaced 2 windows. its absurb. They said the quote was only for the 2 windows. What am I going to do with the other 3 broken windows? calling them to get quote again? or call someone else to replace them?

They offer the lowest price of glass especially for tempered glass. I ordered the glass and I had it in two day, while other companies take more than six days.
I wish there was a way to post pictures here so you could see the ugly containers of rainwater I have in my beautiful sunroom every time it rains because this company did not cut the glass to the proper size nor was it the correct glass for the application.Every single time it rains, I have towels and containers laid out to catch the water. The owner of this business, Todd Carter, has these pictures that I emailed to him, and is very aware of the situation, but keeps hiding behind his staff and wont even give me the courtesy of a return phone call.The leaks began shortly after the installation and I contacted them within the warranty period. They kept saying they would come out and then they would never follow through. Here it is 3 years later and I am still catching buckets of rain.I cannot even count the number of times I have called their office. Todd has not responded to me one time. I have also talked to Mickey, Andrea, and Desiree. They keep telling me they will take care of it and I wait to hear from them.Finally, several weeks ago, they did finally come out to measure again. They said they would order the glass and replace it. By the way, this was only after I had a male call them. Apparently single ladies dont have enough authority to get their attention. Subsequently, they kept making excuses, saying they ordered the wrong glass, then when they got it, they broke it, yada. yada, yada.In many ways Im more disappointed that there are people out of there like this that care more about the almighty dollar than their integrity. I have now asked for a refund because I obviously cannot trust them to fix it properly. I doubt I will ever see a dime.I have never written a bad review before in my life, but sometimes you have to stand up for what is right. I have always worked hard at my jobs and providing excellent customer service has always been a priority for me. So that is why I am compelled to warn you not to do business with this company. I seriously doubt the authenticity of of the positive reviews here.I highly recommend that you save yourself a lot of aggravation and do business with one of the many other glass companies In the area, even if I hey are more expensive. This company simply isnt reputable. You should go to their office and see the disarray of filth, disorganization and stacks of paper and folders everywhere. I did a couple of weeks ago to see Todd in person. Not to my surprise, he wasnt there but they did actually call him and I heard him say he would review it and call me back. Im still waiting for that phone call. Sigh....

I brought my 09 BMW M3 here to replace a windshield because Geico can pay them directly and it would be less of a hassle then getting reimbursed. I had to settle for I think a safelight or something like that windshield because a BMW M3 windshield was over $1,000 (remember this) and Geico was going to pay only $650. Well got it replaced and the seals were bulging out and they told me that is how it is, so I am a pretty easy person and left with my car. a week or so later I was getting a car wash and I saw water dripping into my car at where the rear view mirror was. I bring it back and they fix it by pulling down my head liner and adding this black look glue. well that fixed it but why was glue added there I wondered. A month or 2 later my AC breaks, so I bring it to the dealer and it gets replaced (Cost over $3,000). I get the car back and in another month or 2 my AC makes a loud noise and the floor board is a little wet. I bring it back to the dealer and they tell me that my windshield is the problem and I argue because that doesnt make sense. They show me that my windshield is not installed correctly and is missing a long part that goes along the bottom of the windshield that guides water and my upper cowling is broken (???, wasnt broken when I changed my cabin filter). I bring it back to Hurricane and to tell them what is going on and a soon as I say warranty the OLD Man get hostile and touches me. I was about to go off on him and didnt want to go to jail, so I leave. I get Geico involved and the Indian/Middle Eastern guy calls me and I come back. I talk to him and he seems to be a nice guy and orders the $13 part. I end up having to go pick it up with my car with his money. I bring it back and it gets installed. I bring it back to BMW and fix the AC, I had to give the service advisor 3 Texans football tickets and a parking pass so she doesnt bring up the windshield leak to my extended warranty Insurnace or they will not cover it and I would have to eat a $3,000+ bill. I get the car back and it is still leaking. I call a guy I find in the BMW forums that specialises in BMW windshield and he tells me that the M3 windshield and 3-series windshield are exactly the same, just different part numbers and different prices. He said you MUST ALWAYS replace and never reuse seals for 3-series and M3 windshields. the seals all together cost less than $25 and he charges about $400 for a aftermarket and about $500 for a geniune BMW 3-series windshield which is the same as the M3, BMW just charges more for the M3, but it is exactly the same.F**K, I said to myself. I watched the guys reuse all the seals and my windshield wasnt seeded low enough and resting in the correct place location and thats why they added more black glue into my head liner. AND I could have gotten the genuine BMW Windshield that way the dealership wouldnt have gave me a hard time. So while waiting to get my new windshield I was adjusting the rear view mirror and it breaks off the windshield and cut my finger bad and blood is dripping everywhere.So guys thats where I am at now and I still have not got my windshield replaced, what I learned is:Never go to Hurricane GlassUse BMW Windshields. so you dont bleed all over the interior of your $80,000 carand make sure to ask the place replacing your windshield to use new genuine BMW seals

I left a scathing review several weeks ago and it appears that it has already been taken down from this site. Doesnt do much good to write a review when its not left for customers to read it
This company is very unprofessional! They said they would come out and give me a quote, so I took the day off from work. They never showed up so I called them and they then informed me that the boss said he didnt want the job!
