Bought a $20k BMW on cash was a trade in. They did not find the spare key, book and tool at time of purchase. I live in Dallas and they promised those items to me ASAP. Its been almost 2 months. I keep calling and they keep giving me the run around. Really Really unprofessional. If you have cash to buy the bike, its fine but GOD forbid you need them to actually do something for the sale that involves financing or commitments for parts after the sale. Really disappointing. They were spot on while I was getting the bike but then NOTHING after that
Annual service for my BMW scooter. Appointment made 20 days in advance. Courteous and knowledgeable individual walked me through the appointment process with confirmation. On the day of the appointment, arrive an hour early-I live 90 miles to the east, timing is difficult. My scooter was accepted and immediately moved to the service department. Process was smooth, completed in the promised time. As there were no ‘problems’ identified, the final cost was in expected limits.I had interactions with Neff, Casey, Katherine, and her new dog, Roman. These folks, and others with whom I had brief contact, were pleasant and helpful. I am very satisfied with the service provided at Gulf Coast BMW.
These gals and guys are so helpful, old school motorcycle dealership! They dont pressure you, and let you find your own bike with what your comfort level is. I appreciate the level of knowledge and friendliness, especially Kathryn! All around awesome place, and cant beat their selection and atmosphere!
Do not shop here. Their sales people are rude and will say anything...including disparaging comments about other shops to get you to shop there. I was in the process of buying a bike and they sold it without calling me back to let me know what the hell was going on. I only knew it was gone because it was no longer on Cycle Trader. You want an honest shop who sells Triumphs? Go to the Woodlands. I only dealt with their rudeness because they had a Triumph in the color I wanted. I will never do bus with them again.
No fancy word about this review, this place just so friendly and helpful especially My sales person Jim! Got my bike BMW R1200 GSA from Jim for my birthday lol.At the beginning I wasnt sure if I want the GS or the GSA Jim helped me a lot and he is very professional and knowledgeable with the bikes, never over sale me anything. Guide me with selecting the right bike for my need! Super patience person with all my questions. I will come back to get my second bike from here only!PS. Go find Jim! Trust me! He will help you out and wont disappoint you!
I have only dealt with Kathryn at this BMW dealer and only over the phone as I was an out-of-state buyer. We made it far enough in the deal that I put a deposit down but ended up finding something local. I dreaded making the call to cancel the order and request a deposit refund because of all the effort she put in but she handled it amazingly well. She said thats terrible, I was hoping to get you on your dream bike. Ill process your refund immediately. And this was symbolic of her attitude throughout the entire process. Always cordial, always wanting to help and when it didnt work out stood by her word to refund my $1000 deposit right away.Next time I am looking to make a purchase for a BMW I will definitely check to see what they have available.
I cant disagree with some of the other bad reviews on here. There is a communication disconnect between the departments; sales, parts, and service, BUT everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly, despite some unforseen delays when I went to take ownership of a new bike. Is it a 5 star dealership? maybe not, just bring your helmet and a little patience and youll have a pretty good time.
Lack of transparency has lost my business for good. Drove 3 hours to pickup a used Triumph Tiger on May 29 2021 (keep in mind this is a Triumph dealership) I was “assured” that I would be happy with the purchase and that it was a great bike. Upon arrival I began inspecting the bike and found numerous issues that were not disclosed to me prior to me making the drive. The rear tire had been plugged, the grips were practically falling off spinning in circles, the left fairing had a large crack in the middle of it. The left hand guard was barely hanging on from lay down damage. The heated grips were not functional, the rear luggage rack was missing brackets and had about 2 inches of play in it, and there was a substantial oil leak/buildup coming from the rear of the engine. The mechanic came out to see if he could tighten the luggage rack and couldn’t even figure out how to take the seat off of the bike (of which he is a certified mechanic for). All in all terrible experience, I have had probably 15 motorcycles in my lifetime and this was by far the most unprofessional and uneducated dealership I have ever been to. Please avoid this place if at all possible.
Although the store is being remodeled a bit we were, as always when I visit, taken care of superbly. Id like to see a lot more mens clothing and hats and patches and everything Triumph has to offer!
Wow!!! Amazing customer service!!! Real professionals. Im a long time motorcyclist. I currently ride two BMW R machines. a 1999 BMW R1100R and a 2008 BMW R1200GS. I cant say enough good things about British USA/Gulf Coast BMW. When it came time to upgrade the brake lines on my 1100, I could not get any of the BMW dealers near me (Katy/Woodlands/Austin) to touch my bike. There is a policy adopted by many of these dealers - they dont touch them unless they are under 15 years old (the Michael Jackson rule as one of them called it). I, for one, have discovered that riding a BMW machine can be a lifelong affair. So it seems ironic that dealers of machines designed to last a century, would stop servicing them at 15. Not at British USA. In fact, they seem to love working on these vintage machines and their showroom is basically a museum of classic bikes worth a visit.Unlike all the pros at the other dealers Ive dealt with for decades, the guys at British USA/Gulf Coast BMW are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and more importantly - very welcoming. Most of the other dealers make you feel like their toys are too cool to touch, their service too technical to have to explain, and their people too busy for you. I even had one of them explain to me how a part on my 1200 was not under warranty because it was replaced under warranty. After I pulled my copy of the BMW Parts Warranty and showed him where it says that parts replaced under warranty are covered by the vehicle warranty or the two years parts warranty, whichever is longer. The guy actually told me he would not call BMW to even ask whether the part was under warranty because he had been told no before, and could not afford to push back because they hold him in very high technical regard. Good thing Im an attorney and dont need to have the warranty explained to me. Two other BMW dealers told me the part was under warranty. Needless to say, the guys at British USA/Gulf Coast BMW handled the warranty replacement and made me feel like they were on my side. The team at British USA/Gulf Coast BMW take the time to explain what needs to be done, provide alternatives, consider your suggestions, and never make you feel rushed or ignorant. These guys are joy to deal with. The fact that I drive two hours (and past two other BMW dealers) to deal with them says everything you need to know about the amazing service at British USA/Gulf Coast BMW.Everyone from the manager, the parts guys, and Elias in the service department are classy, friendly, professional, and experienced motorcyclist.A sincere thank you to all of them.
This dealership is great! Mr. Terry and the financial department ladies were awesome! Extremely helpful and superior customer service. I’m usually looking for a dealer to try and rip me off but these people at gulf coast bmw didn’t do that at all. They made me feel safe and secure throughout my purchase. Thank you guys all the way from the Tampa Bay Area.
I stopped in today while I was out riding just to check the place out. Extremely personable staff, everyone was very welcoming and laid back, but still very knowledgeable, which is a great environment to shop for bikes in. Kathryn was a pleasure to deal with, and I appreciate being given the opportunity to test ride the bikes here as opposed to being corraled into a demo day with a group ride or not being able to test ride at all.I will definitely be coming here for future service, looking forward to the completion of the new Triumph showroom and some upcoming bike nights.
I traded in a motorcycle to get a brand new BMW. I been paying my BMW almost for two months, and they still had not paid for the Honda I traded in. The result. Me paying for 2 motorcycles until this gets resolved. HORRIBLE to have to worry about this.
Not only did they give me a great price for a brand new street triple I genuinely enjoyed my time just chatting it up with the great friendly staff thats there.Ive bought multiple bikes at other locations and as soon as the purchase have been made its almost like Ive been forgotten. Joel and Catherine sat with me and chatted it up until the very end even though he already knew I was buying the bike.Highly recommended
Regarding owner: good heart but, ineffectual or inconsistent leader / boss. Although the owner Cliff is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, very well known and admired in the motorcycle world, & he has SO much experience! His business techniques / practices are very disorganized! Needs quality (not just quanity) employees who should be treated much more professionally; not employees with a very confused workday by LITERALLY revolving jobs each day. The ONLY salesman to go to (& trust w/ a satisfiable) purchase bikes is JIM VAGAS! He is on the BMW side HOWEVER, Jim has a vast experience about Triumph bikes as well as MANY others!!! The IT / online employee - Lindsey Q. - seems to have her job down greT when she is not forced into a position that she wasnt hired for.I wish them all the best! God Bless!
Keep away from their service department. I went in for a simple tires change, and they refused to honor the price they quoted me over the phone. The back tire they installed has a white accent stripe and the front tire does not so the bike looks worse than when I handed it over to them. You will be better of elsewhere...
There is a reason why this place is the lowest ranking BMW/Triumph Dealer in Houston. Tried to return a set of hand tools ( not electrical tools) unopened box, within the time limit & they would not honor their own return policy written on the invoice & offered credit instead. Watch what you purchase from this place. New in town, was going to take the bike to them On regular basis for scheduled maintenance & they would have made hundreds & thousands on labor & parts from me over the upcoming years& lost that business over 57.00 dollars & their poor attitude.
Not sure of what I wanted, I went by Gulf Coast BMW to see what was new. My salesman, Jim, was very helpful, let me sit on all the bikes and answered my many questions. I bought an F900R and couldnt be happier !! Great dealership !!
These guys have been amazing! The have gone above and beyond to take care of us and get us back on the road as quickly as possible. Thank you guys!
This dealership is the worst motorcycle shop I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Picked up my bike 4 times and 4 times I never even made it home. They had to send a technician with a trailer to recover the bike. I picked it up for the fifth time and made it home only to have the bike completely stop running yet again. When I called them they refused to come pick it up and make good on their part of the deal. I spent 1800 on my bike and now it doesn’t even run. Sorriest bunch of managers and technicians I’ve ever seen.
Brought bike in twice in 45 days with seemingly the same problem. Was told the issue was a different part than replaced a few weeks before (which I am not convinced of ). Then repairs were made without consent or even discussing what the problem was the second time around. Only contact made by Gulf after my bike was dropped off was to tell me the bill. Each repair was $700, two repairs in 45 days! The battery was dead 24 hours after picking it up so obviously after all of that they couldnt even charge the battery.
I had an excellent experience buying my 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler from British USA. I dealt mostly with Katherine and Meghan who were both very friendly and knowledgeable and worked diligently with me to help me get the bike of my dreams. Ian was also extremely helpful in explaining the ins and outs of the bike to me. Everyone I encountered during my experience was very friendly and helpful. This was the only dealership I came across in Texas that actually had the exact bike I was looking for and I believe they even had two of them in stock. They also had a fair amount of accessories and apparel in stock as well. Definitely will be returning to them again.
I was recently in Galveston for the Lone Star Bike Rally. My bike was the only BMW we saw there, which made for some good kidding - until until bike would not start. I called Gulf Coast, and they said they had batteries in stock and to ride up and they would take care of me. They gave me choice of two different batteries, and got it charged and installed in pretty good time - and even gave me a military discount on the battery. Had to ask if bike was ready when I saw it outside, but cant say how long it had been done. They got me out of a tight spot while 800 miles from home, and were friendly and knowledgeable - definitely recommended them!
Great place with the right customer service.
Love this place. These Triumphs and BSAs are beautiful! Great memories walking through here...
Very friendly and helpful but unfortunately not a single employee (out of the 6 or 8) was wearing a mask.
These guys could not have been better! Some friends and I had one of the bikes go down while we were heading across country. These guys could have screwed us over and knew it. They instead did everything possible to get us going again and never once gouged us on a single thing! Not a lot of people are as courteous as these guys where!
Didnt have a Zero FX in stock but plenty of adventure bikes and very helpful associate with Jim
I brought in my 1998 BMW R1200 C for a routine oil change, a new battery, and a safety check/general maintenance. They returned it washed and ready to go. After a few weeks of riding, I am shocked at how great the bike feels. Im not sure what magic man they have working on these bikes. My shifts are way more precise, throttle response is massively improved. Their service went beyond my expectations. Also, their cashier, Joann, was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I hung out in the showroom while they were running the invoice, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable - not to mention they have a REALLY cool collection of motorcycles. I will definitely be back.
I am at the shop now. I had appointment for my first service of my bike at 1.Pm. I came to shop at 12.00. took long time get registered. By 1, got registered. I was waiting in the shop to get the bike service. No one cared. Bike was parked outside. After two hours of waiting in the shop at 3.00 pm, I had to go the counter and ask them when they are going to get my bike. Then only they said, they are going to get the bike now. But they got the bike inside for service by 3.30. still waitng for the bike. The manger told me just now that next time when I come for service, he will make sure they do the service on time and that is the only thing he can do for the ultimate wait. Still awaiting my bikeNever recommend this place.
Be very careful prior to order, they are very fast to charge your credit card but they don´t like returns. I made a mistake in my order and they just washed their hands. It was my fault, still I think you may find several other dealers with more human treatment and care for their customers.
Honestly wish every motorcycle dealer was this good. Definitely a more old-school feel, with staff that actually care about bikes, as compared to some of the other big box dealers that just push volume. And even still, the best price in town on what I was looking for, and no BS fees or haggling. Its worth the drive all the way from The Woodlands to deal with these folks. Thanks again, Jim.
I purchased a 2016 BMW S1000RR from them a few years ago. Along with it I purchased the maintenance plan. I was told this could be used at any authorized service center. Fast forward a year or two, and, go figure, it cannot be used elsewhere. Now, these people wont respond to emails/calls. I wouldnt recommend them. Sure, everything is good in the beginning, but once they have your money you get kicked to the curb.
Within the Walls of British USA is a Wealth of British Motorcycle Knowledge. Cliff Holland has been a Legend for building incredible machines out of Triumph stock bikes for Southern Texas for the passed 36 years. His Dealership is well stocked and great pricing is available to those whom rather go into a store verses those whom internet shop. He is not a computer nerd, so he rather meet you in person and get to know your interests in the British Bikes. Out of the 40 years I have know Cliff, I have always been amazed by his ability to remember peoples names and their bike stories. If you have one already, he is the go to guy to find out how far and how to bring it to the bike you want it to be! He has always pushed the envelope on what others said wasnt possible for these English Motor Bikes! So put down the mouse and stop trying to click your way to success and Come to British USA in South Houston, Texas and Meet A Real Living Legend and Support His Rebirth Of British USA
Took bike in 2 months ago for repair. Whole transmission replacement required. Warranty work. Called to ask if it was done, got the run around. Waited another week, said it was done, but needed a test ride. Got there 3 hours later, still no test ride, battery was dead, and parts missing. Got the run around again while there. Walked out wont go back. Repo man can have that lemon.
I had an excellent customer service experience with British USA Triumph. Mason the salesman spent hours with me and allowing me to test drive several bikes. They were very patient and explained all of the technical specifications of all the bikes in great detail. After several hours of test rides I finally chose the bike of my choice. I got a really good price for the bike and there were no surprises in the sales paperwork at the end. I would definitely recommend this shop if you are looking to buy a Triumph motorcycle.
Mom and pop cycle shop. Adventure bike specialist lots of gear and pannier supplies at reasonable pricesOld, new, and E-bikes sold here also BMW,Triumph
Parts lady was awesome!!! She knew helmets better than I do; been riding 42yrs... always helmet-ed... they carry both Shuberth & Nolan
Awesome customer service!!! Maty was informative and explained in detail how to use every feature on the motorcycle I was interested in. He explained some basic features on my new K1600 GT before my test ride, and the rest when I got back. They made the purchase process quick and easy. Great prices and great trade value for my motorcycle. He even had my GPS set up for my ride home and gave me directions to the nearest authorized service center. I have to say, the guys and gals at the British USA-Gulf Coast BMW, made this the best motorcycle purchase experience so far. Thanks for everything guys and see you next time I upgrade!
Neat ole bike shop, ashley behind the parts counter very helpful.the young lady sales person on Triumph side super nice, helpful and informative without being pushy.i have had 2 triumph bikes.make sure they are what you want as far as accesories are concerned.their cruiser line ( all triumph dealerships) need an overhaul.recently purchased tbird commander.hard to get parts for.overall British triumph on college not a bad dealership.i would reccomend.
Tremendous service, great people. I felt like I was among friends the second I walked in. I am a customer for life! Their service dept. exemplifies the professionalism and friendliness youve been looking for. I cannot say enough about this dealership, they are the real deal.
They called me to tell me the job was done and then I had to wait 4 hours on site. Afterwards I had to show them then one screw was noticeable unscrewed and there was a battery cable hanging out, unplugged in plain sight. When I said that 1800$ was not cheap and wondered if next revision would cost me that much, one guy told me probably no because tires can be rotated. I am not kidding.
Responsive employees to my needs, the finance department was a little new to my banks loan paperwork but it got figured out in the end. Bike was fueled and cleaned when I was ready to leave and the sales people were friendly. Bike had some aftermarket lighting that they told they couldnt find a switch for, not a huge deal. Location is absolutely terrible but theres only so much you as a customer and them as a dealer can do about it. Overall a pleasant experience, had some of the cheapest used bikes around.
On balance over the years Ive had a positive experience with this dealership. I do a great deal of my own service, so my interactions with them as of late have been for a few maintenance issues I did not want to tackle.Sales: Big turn-over in sales. I worked with Jim Vagas twice (purchased two bikes from him) and it was a decent experience. I believe he has moved on. I know nothing about the current folks, but one of the new salesmen approached me and confessed he knew noting about BMW motorcycles and didnt even ride. I overheard the other tell a customer considering a BMW for the first time that if he did not have all of his maintenance done there, it would void his warranty (which is bullshit).Parts: Good experience here. Ive never had a problem getting what I need the first try.Service: I like the lead technician, Rick. He really seems to know what hes doing, although he did leave the dealership to work elsewhere but he has returned. The current service manager, Nick, is okay to deal with (those in the past were real jackasses) and although undeniably overworked he has gotten me in fairly quickly when Ive needed service. In the past (under different service managers) Ive gotten my bike home only to discover bolts missing and parts damaged or broken (that only they had touched). Ive not had any problems with the current crew.
I wish I could join the other reviewers and leave a positive review however this has to have been the worst dealer experience I have every had. The purchase of my bike went relatively smoothly and I was satisfied with the deal. The after purchase customer service has been a complete nightmare in both the sales and service departments. If you do purchase a bike here, make sure you have a backup dealer for service as you will most likely need it. Otherwise I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Excellent customer service from these folks. My new Ural was trailered quite a distance to me for a test ride. After purchasing, it was fine-tuned to perfection to ensure safety and a pleasurable ride! Highly recommend!
The old bait and switch! I received a phone call from their sales department today stating that my balloon payment of 10,000! was due this month. what!!!!!! I would never finance a bike with a balloon note!!! who would want a10,000 payment after paying 340.00 a month for 3 years? emailed the owner he never responded. filing a case with the better business bureau today.
Customer Service is very poor. Ordered parts and had some questions have not had a reply back in a week. I called and it took 15 minutes for someone to answer the phone. The sales rep said they were just too busy to answer questions via email. I asked to have Gina call me back she has not done so to this date. The order said that it had free shipping over 50.00 and they charged me shipping. This is a place of business that I would consider Buyer Beware!!!!
Service department does not know the meaning of communication. Ive asked for a specific repair (gas light short) 3 different times and they continue to forget. Unbelievable. Not to mention my bike continually has startup problems they cant seem to diagnose. Wonderful.
I know Gina that works there. Shes a mover and a shaker. She was pretty busy that day but she took the time to stop and chat for a few. Im sure she would have stopped to help anybody. Everybody that was working that day was staying busy. Need to check it out at least once. You never know what you will walk out with.
Had good dealing with this place, they marked a 2012 motorcycle a 2011, and we agreed on a price before they noticed it was wrong. So i got the 2011 price, was pretty happy with that. Josh was my sales rep, funny guy good to joke around with. Only thing is it takes a bit to get all the paperwork done so if you buy a bike make sure you have a few hours.
Staff was very professional. First time buying a bike and new rider; They made sure I was buying the right bike for my skill level, not for their wallet. Would highly recommend buying from Megan.
These guys actually had a chain and sprockets IN STOCK!They were nice and knowledgeable with good prices. The store has a great vibe with vintage bikes around. Ill shop there again.
What an awesome group of guys. Jimmy was a great help in getting the test ride on the new BMW K1600B. He also offered up the 2018 BMW R1200RT.
Great group of guys at this dealership you can’t go wrong buying from them. They know the products they sale and make you feel like family.
Fun shop with a super nice staff
Great Service Department!! I work on my own bike, but I messed up, I was getting ready for a road trip in a week or so and thought through my screw-up I was not go to get to go, I took my bike into Gulf Coast service and the folks there made me feel that it wasnt that big of a problem, I dropped it off around 4pm and by 6:30 the service guy called me and told me it was ready and they had fixed my mess up. I asked them to change the oil while they had it and when I picked it up all the charges were for the oil change and a time spent fixing what I messed up.Good guys...very up beat and positive
If its bikes you have a question about, British USA has the answers! Staff was both helpful and friendly. British USA offered a warm and comfortable environment.
Awful vultures! I never ever leave bad reviews but I absolutely have to. Would give -10 stars if I could. If there’s a guy DJ in service dept avoid at all costs. Mechanic did a half decent job but very unprofessional no way to talk with them directly and at the end of it all left the horn in plugged and overal very amature work leaving electrical wire tight and kinked and had to walk away uncompleted . If you want the full story here it is.I was having a leak and troubles on a road trip. Phoned ahead six days in advance for a routine 24000 mile service. Spoke with DJ made an appointment on the phone and emails for Tuesday at 9-10. Snobby guy too busy for you. Upon arrival not in the system can’t be seen today. No big deal trying to stay patient. But after three more days of not having parts in stock and zero communication, good luck calling them for an update 20+ mins on hold and no call backs, they finally call me a hour before close on a Friday and say the bike is ready but there’s still a new leak and they don’t have the part in stock. I tell them just give me the bike back. Mechanic refuses to go over the work he has preformed with me and they stick me with a $1211 bill?!?! No valve work was done and they only replaced spark plugs, sump cover gasket, rear brake pad, and the air filter which took three days to ship. Allegedly 8.64 hours of work?! This is not including the price of tires I bought from them. Buyer beware! On a good note, I will give credit to the lovely sales woman Katherine and the owner Cliff for almost rectifying the cost with me. But after the week they wasted and the amature level of work and the complete lack of customer service, it was just not worth the head ache or the premium price they charge. I’m really sorry for this bad review it’s not my style.
These people a like family and treats you so. Excellent customer service and great Bike selections, new and used....give an a try.
I bought the triumph Bonneville T214 and Megan did a hell of a job to get me on it. Any one out there looking for a bike head down there ask for Megan. Tell her Jesse with the land speed triumph sent you.
Love going to theis place, the dog by the name of highway greets you as you walk in. The staff are very friendly and provide top notch customer service. Any thing you need to know or dnt know they are will to help you and explain in full detail. They can order almost anything you need from parts to bikes, they find a way to make things happen and have you leaving as an satisfied customer. I plan on going back really really soon.
I was riding across the country from FL to CA and had some issues with my clutch line. Ended up getting stranded in a less than desirable neighborhood outside Houston. I called Gulf Coast BMW, and Doug (service department) arranged for a tow. In less than a half hour, Eric (works with Doug) showed up, got my bike strapped in, and I was out of the cold. They flushed my clutch line, and all was well with the world again. Many, many thanks to Doug and Eric! Excellent service and a great group of guys overall!
Havent bought anything so not bias, the lady working in triumph motorcycles is great!
This guys forgot to install the under the seat chip to allow access to the USER and SLICK modes on my new S1000RR. I had to figure out on my own.
The sales department is always on top of everything (kudos to Jim and Gina) Can’t say the same about the service department when Nick is not around. (Piece of advise: Don’t let him go)
I traded in my Triumph Rocket towards a Yamaha FZ1. I did not get to test drive the FZ beforehand and when the paperwork was done, I found out the check engine light was on. How did it pass their inspection with a CEL? Megan told me it would go off - for 9 months it was on.To make matters even worse, they delayed paying off the trade-in which damaged my credit rating.
My objective was OB diagnostic concerning specific reasons for consistent brake failure light on my 03 1150 RT ABS w/55k miles... my result... the service bill for $47.50 labor with a note... Need to determine why the bike is not communicating with diagnostic computer to fully determine why the brake failure light is on consistently... several points of speculation were noted... I would have appreciated being told about the communication problem with the diagnosis system. Speculation exhaustion was my reason for being there.I did get the opportunity to meet with Steve on the technical advancements on the newer bikes. I am still determined to get the BMW computer diagnostic concerning my ABS system. I did not discuss the matter with Steve at the time nor was he aware of the situation to my knowledge. I shared with him that I am a straight-up Distance RiderNot really sure what to think about the encounter. Old school Rider from 1970 Harley Davidson Sprint 250.. H1 Kawasaki 500... Z1 900 Kawasaki... first and second generation Yamaha VMAX and now these BMW RTs
Good Triumph bike selection and friendly staff.
Brought bike in for battery replacement, mechanics told me the factory warranty was going to expire in 2 days, left it there for the systemic R1200gs cylinder head clicking sound, ~$3k worth of warranty-paid work later they give me my bike back all fixed up, all they asked for from me was a signature. and the Triumph dealer lady next door sold me a 5 year extended warranty / pre-paid maintenance plan to the tune of about $1500 bucks, fender-to-fender, every nut bolt and wire covered. talking to the BMW parts department will raise your blood pressure, but the maintenance department made me feel like dropping my kid off at the doctors office and they hand him a lollipop and gave him a balloon. warm-and-fuzzies abound.
Thank you Jim Vagas, Cliff Holland, and the entire team at Gulf Coast BMW for the outstanding service and my wonderful experience in purchasing a new BMW motorcycle. This is an old-school motorcycle shop staffed with experienced professionals, not kids just looking for a paycheck. No outrageous setup fees, double-charges for freight, or any of the other nonsense that a lot of other dealers try to get away with. I cant recommend these guys highly enough if youre looking for a new or pre-owned BMW or Triumph motorcycle. Thank you Cliff for supporting these brands through good times and bad and the reminder that honesty, integrity, and the old-school way of doing business never goes out of fashion.
Great buying experience with Megan! The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the experience as well. Highly recommended!
Ordered tires for my bike on Sat, received call on following Tues to make an appointment for the next day. When I arrived I was told there was no way they could get my tires done. No one tried contacting me to reschedule or warn me of the issue. I live 40 minutes away from this dealership.
Plus: Prices, Service, Collection, Workmanship.Minus: The store is a little cramped and out of space with their huge collection.
Stopped in when they were closed, but some of the staff was there. Friendly without being overly pushy.
Great service department very knowledgeable will help you I recommend this place to anyone thats looking for a good service friendly people
Terrible experience.Gulf Coast established and replied to me with a deal and set price on a 2009 BMW R1200R. I requested reasonable back up information that included maintenance records and a bill of sale to be sent to my office. The bike was being shipped to Florida and then to the VI, and I had shippers lined up. I spoke with their office manager to make sure all paperwork was in order, and they emailed me that day to tell me the deal was off due to too much involvement and international work, even though their responsibility ended at the sale of the bike. My opinion is that they regretted their offer and were looking for a way out. I spent considerable amount of time lining everything up and am very glad I did not wire funds as they requested I do.I would never do business again with such a myopic, self centered group that does not hold up their end of the deal.
Great service
Best hotdogs ever at a motorbike shop!
Most knowledgeble motorcycle sales people, freindly staff great owner attitude, just all around sesational deslership
The only place to take your BMW in Houston. These guys are Pros! Fixed my bike when other shops could not. THE BEST!
Great place. Good selection of high end gear
Man, am i sorry I didnt buy my bike here. The customer service in the service department by Danny and all of those guys was phenomenal. I had to bring my bike in for recall and even though I didnt purchase here, the dealer I did purchase from drove me here with poor service. I was actually called back like they said, I was greeted by every single person in the store I believe. Even the customers were friendly. I will continue to get my bike serviced here and when my wife gets ready, we will buy her bike here. They have made a customer for life. If you dont believe me, take a swing by and just walk in and look. See for yourself. You know that feeling when you talk to a service person about bikes, you get the he knows his s$%# feeling. Thats the feeling I got from parts to the apparel lady to the vintage service guy. Not very common to see this kind of place anymore. Refreshing.
Great time great personalities great people perfect work good place to go
Great people. Highway the dog was absolutely adorable.
Great store with a staff that is friendly and willing to make a deal happen with ease. Loving my 2016 BMW s1000rr!!!
Finance person does not honor appointments plus promised to deliver my license plates two weeks after my purchase of new 1600 GTL and its now 8 weeks later and I still have not received my license plates.
The whole staff is great ! Nick at service was very helpful no matter how far they are I rather ride to them
Love this place
Edit: You can see my original review below. I was treated well originally. I thought I found a dealer which I could use from now on. However, I then brought my classic bike in for rebuild. It sat there for a month before I could even get them to give me an idea in price... I was patient... Then i was told parts were ordered, bike was on the bench, waiting and being lied to. Almost three months had passed so I called the general manager to find out I had been lied to. The parts guy Danny was no longer there and my bike would take months to complete. No apology, no attempt to expedite, not a word other than ok when I told him i was picking it up.. I now realize where these other negative reviews come from. The only reason I am giving two stars is the parts counter. They seem to make good effort. However, I wont be in here again unless i find myself in desperate need for parts. The we dont care attitude cost them the purchase of my wifes 2017 bmw as well as all of my business in the future. Do yourself a favor, pass this place up.... I was wrong in my original review.... I am sorry if you followed my review and subsequently had a bad experience. You will not find better people. Danny in service is handling business. They do what they say and they know their stuff. I am sorry I didnt find this place sooner and will not buy a bike at any other location. If you find something online, they can get it and they will price match.... why would you not support your local dealer. You may need them someday and the internet may have put them out of business. I was greeted by every person in the store and what a great experience it was. Do yourself a favor and swing by and see what im talking about. phenomenal experience.
WOW! These people were amazing.
Both valve covers and brake resavoir leaking after service. Ummm? if they cant even put covers on how can they to anything else correctly! Brought it back twice and they didnt have time to fit me in even when I made an appointment. I took the covers off cleaned the seals, no more leaks. Used pliers on my oil cap and messed it up!
The absolute worst buying experience/customer service Ive ever had. Attempting to make a purchase from out of state, I was told by Jim Vagas Look its not our fault you cant come in to see the motorcycle thats your problem! Shocked by his response I apologized and politely asked if I could be helped by another associate, Jim became outraged and stated Ive been selling motorcycles for twenty years and you arent going to go over my head!Have things changed so much in those past 20 years that this is how BMW treats their potential clients?
Ive had mixed luck with this dealership, but mostly bad. Recently I spoke to a person in the parts department who was typically rood. I say typically because every time Ive been to this shop and talked to her shes been bad tempered and abrasive. Shes the kind of person who cuts the customer off in mid-sentence to interject an answer before hearing the entire question. In the end, it became a fight to finish my question. So I just said thanks for your help and got off the phone. Its less frustrating that way.
Staff very easy to with on a sell of a new, used, back to new motorcycle.
Great selection and friendly staff
Great people - Fantastic Service; Ive been coming here since 2013 and always leave with positive experiences. Thanks Nick, Gina, Cynthia and Pricilla!
