Great service staff.

My friend has been buying a boat here and the customer service has been catastrophically bad. The boat was not ready when they said it would be originally and then when he did receive the boat there was an issue with the boat that caused it to fill with water rapidly once on the lake. Because of this they had to take the boat back in for repairs and give him a loaner. Since then theyve continued to be absolutely horrible at everything. Theyve said the boat would be ready like three times now and then when the date comes it isnt. Its been one problem after another and they havent been accommodating at all, pretty much taking the attitude that they dont have to value the customer. I wouldnt recommend shopping here at all.

When you make a purchase as significant as a boat, you better believe you buy a dealer too. From the purchase experience, to service, to crazy questions these guys are the best in the business. I purchased a new boat in 2015. I am always grateful that I made the right choice to purchase from this dealer. All of the boats out there are awesome, Nautique, MasterCraft. Malibu & Supra. Yet its the dealer and their representatives that you will have an ongoing relationship post purchase. Even 5 years later, these guys always treat me like a friend & as if I am going to buy a new boat today. They have been amazing to me regarding service with quick turnaround, helping me out by having my boat delivered or picked up if I was too busy. Warranty items were always taken care of & again they are people I enjoy seeing each year at their dealership and the boat show. How can I buy another boat when these guys treat me so well? I just cant..... Thank you for treating me and my family with kindness over the years and not just a 1 time sale.

Terrible customer service! I just bought a new boat almost sinks on the second time of use. I have waited more than a month to fix a simple issue. Then once I get the boat back the trailer has a problem. Trash.

UWS has been great to work with! Matt was tremendously helpful when I bought my X-10. The services team has always been helpful and accommodating with my requests. The team was one of the things that set Mastercraft apart from the others. I also love that they have a shop in Page, AZ. Theyve had some employee turnover there, but its still nice to have for the Powell trips. We have had to warranty out a few parts, but other than that, the X-10 has been awesome. Throws a killer surf wake, but also lets us tear it up on the slalom ski.

Their service department is the best I have ever worked with. VERY honest and knowledgeable. I did not purchase my Mastercraft from them, but the service they have provided has always been top notch and timely. I will buy another Mastercraft just for their service team so I can deal with them and not some of the other frustrating dealerships in the valley.

Utah Water Sports is the best dealership in the state of Utah bar none. They know their product inside and out. Rusty and Matt are phenomenal if you’re looking for a new boat. They will give you a fair deal and shoot straight with you. They are not your typical boat salespeople. They are professional, kind and personable. And Adam in Service will take great care of you after the sale. If you’re looking for a wakeboard, surf or towboat in Utah, this is the place to go.The MasterCraft XT23 was a dream at Lake Powell this year. The technology was flawless and allowed our family to have an incredible trip, worry free and in complete luxury. The raw power was impressive and more than I’ve felt from any Malibu or Nautique. We pulled 250 pound skiers up with ease. And the surf wake was unreal. I’m talking almost 4 feet high. There is not another boat on the market like it. I’m so glad I chose Mastercraft.

A few weeks ago, I called and spoke to Brandon, who is surprisingly the service manager at Utah Watersports. I explained to him that I had a 25 foot Maxum cuddy cabin with a water heater, shower and sink that needed to be winterized in addition to the motor of course. He said that this would be no problem and quoted me what I assumed was there regular rate ($375) explaining that it would cover everything including summerizing the boat next season. Great.So, I hooked up the boat drove in 5 o’clock traffic to try to get there before closing, arrived and was greeted by Brandon. He told me to drop the boat, asked for my phone number and said that he’d get to it later in the week and that he would likely have to pull it down to the Utah County location to have it shrink wrapped. As I am backing it up and disconnecting the boat from the truck, Brandon comes out and tells me that there’s a problem. He says that after all, maybe they can’t winterize the boat, claiming that it was because it had a generator and heater, which it doesn’t. Si I walked into the office to chat with the “lead technician“ about his concerns. The technician claimed that Utah water sports has never winterized a boat of this size and that he’s not even sure who told me that this could happen. When I told him it was Brandon, Brandon immediately denied this stating that I described a “regular boat“ to him. The lead also claimed that there would be fees for hauling the boat, that is if he even decided to make an exception that he wouldn’t want me telling my friends......lol! After some negotiations w/ the lead technician finally saying that he would winterize but that this would be the last time and tgey would summerize next season, I walked out the door hooked my boat back up and headed for Taylor’s boats. What a bunch of garbage. Not only did they deny me service, the “manager“ tried to make his colleagues out to believe that this was my error and not his. I’m just glad I had this experience BEFORE they started working on my boat… Likely saved myself a lot of headaches, I imagine.I’d recommend anyone to do what I did and go to any of the other many boat service locations in South Valley. They want your business. Utah Watersports does NOT want your business, unless you have a “regular boat”....Which is apparently a Mastercraft...?

They are never open when you need them. Their hours say daily but good luck finding them.

Fantastic dealership even though I had some problems with my new boat. I decided to spend more money and go with Mastercraft after having 2 lake powell trips ruined by problems with another new wakeboard boat dealership. Mastercraft promised me that if i ever had a boat break down in Powell (or elsewhere on an extended trip) that they would be down there the next morning with another boat for me to use while they worked on mine. With that promise, I bought a new boat from them fall 2014 and began using it 2015. Unforunately the Engine had some hesitation and backfire issues but was still usable. They worked with it off and on at my convenience last year picking it up from my house and dropping it off even though I live 100 miles away as well as meeting me at the lake for lake tests. Yes it was a pain that it didnt work perfectly but they were very professional in taking care of me. In the end, they couldnt figure it out and swapped me out for another new boat. Yes it was a pain to have those troubles but I switched to Mastercraft from another wakeboard boat company that could not provide the same type of guarantees. I am glad that I did, and having that kind of service is definitely worth the money for the peace of mind that I know that I will be taken care of.
