Excellent vibe, people and fresh options for food.Only place I have found in town so far offering fresh options for juice, bowls and hearty fare all in one location. When I arrived at opening the owner was squeezing fresh juice so I had a bit of that, sweet and delicious orange.I got the hot, smoked turkey English Muffin sandwich and an Açaí Bowl with fresh coffee on the side. All was fresh, quick and top notch ingredients.Looking at some reviews that complain about crowds I can understand where that might be an issue but from my experience totally worth the wait if freshly made farm to table type fare is your thing.I would eat here every day for breakfast if I were local.
Delicious breakfast! I got the oats and nuts with unsweetened almond milk just about everyday and loved it so much. Hearty and delicious. They steam the milk which makes it even more fun. Friendly staff too. The owner went out of his way to make me golden chai after I had missed out twice in a row (gotta get there early for this one!). Such a sweet gesture. My husband loved his breakfast tacos too. Highly recommend this little spot inside Basecamp. Fun little spot to hang and eat too.
Awesome latte. The beans were roasted just right and kept the right aroma for the espresso. Ordered an extra Tahoe Blue cold pressed juice. Amazing flavor! Small hide out from the main Blvd! Nice and quite red wood shades outside seating area!
Just in town for a couple days and stopped by this great coffee shop connected to the Basecamp hotel! Very kind staff and wonderful atmosphere. I had the avocado toast (so much more then just avocado on toast) and it was delicious along with fresh squeezed OJ. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family! Thank you for the great food and coffee!
First time here. My wife and I had a good experience and the wait was not bad. But it was a June Wed morning, so not as busy. The staff was nice. He even let us have some free sliced melons fruits and cheeses on the table. The outside patio was really confortable and relaxing. Well come again.
We got iced coffee. Coffee was good, but more on the medium side than strong. Not bad, though.
They are conveniently located near Harveys. They had really great options for breakfast on the healthy side. Their natural juices are a bit pricey, running at $11 for about 10-12 oz. I would recommend their horchata oatmeal and their savory mollete. They also had great customer service, a clean restroom, and a charming spot. We will be back.
Several people were waiting at least 30 minutes, including my fiance and I. They didnt have very many staff working, only saw about 4. In their defense its Memorial Day weekend, but they shouldve planned better staff wise. My fiance got the breakfast tacos and I got a breakfast sandwich. We both got a cold brew coffee. Spent 35 dollars. The tacos were absolutely tiny. My breakfast sandwich, the bun was burnt at the bottom and it was hard. I really am disappointed because the reviews seemed promising. Im not sure if they were just overwhelmed by how busy they were or what.
Coffee Fresh juice and simple breakfast is very good.Sometimes you just go to a place and you can tell that somebody cares about what they’re making. This is one of those places
If you ever want a coffee or a quick breakfast/lunch in S Tahoe, head to TrailFolk Co. situated in The Base Camp Hotel Reception! What a wonderful find! They also do catering under the name LimonadaTahoe & all their food is organic!
I don’t leave reviews very often, but this coffee shop is so frustrating. We arrived there yesterday, and waited for over AN HOUR for our food after ordering it. Once we got some of it, the food was cold. The coffee was subpar, and we never ended up getting one of our orders because after waiting for over an hour for it with no update (after asking when it would be ready three times) as to when it would be ready, my husband was over it and asked for a refund. The staff were frustrating as they were not apologetic at all and did nothing to try and make it right.I can see from the responses from the owner that you are blind to the fact that you are failing your customers. Stop with the excuses and own up to the fact that you are not running things efficiently. If you have a staffing problem here are the things that you could have done to make this right.1. Let us know when ordering how long the wait would be. That way we could have made the decision as to whether or not we wanted to wait that long.2. If you can’t handle the food orders that you are getting, cut your menu in half! Or cut it down to only serving items that are easy for you to prepare. We are all aware of the staffing difficulties, if you can’t serve at full capacity, own up to it!3. Give your customers a real update on how long the food is going to take. If you are now where near getting to it, let us know that! While overpriced, I do think that the food was good (out of what we got). The coffee is nothing special, but also wasn’t terrible. I would have given this place at least 4 stars if things were just run more efficiently.
Great little spot inside Basecamp Hotel...everything is solid and tasty. The coffee and juices are organic too!
Delicious food options that arent too heavy to start your day off right
Do you like waiting for a substantial amount of time for your food? Only to get part of it, and watch as people who ordered after you get parts of theirs? Then this is the place for you. Coffee was okay, food was cold.
The food was good but not worth the wait. It took 45 minutes for my husband and I to get 2 coffees, a smoothie bowl, and breakfast sandwich. Ridiculous.
Vibe is incredible and coffee is great! Munched some sweet treats and sipped real quality brew while playing giant jenga next to a fire. Super chill Tahoe family morning!
I had a great sandwich and they were very nice to us. Coffee is yummy.
Great food. We had breakfast tacos and home made pop tarts. Coffee was also great
This is probably some of the worst food Ive ordered in awhile. We chose the veggie breakfast tacos, horchata French toast, and the apple & orange juices. The juices were alright, but warm. The tacos were lacking any flavor (why were they grey??) and didnt have the egg or salsa as mentioned on the menu. The horchata French toast did not taste like horchata, we didnt even taste any cinnamon. It was basically just dried out bread that was soggy on top. In addition, I was unimpressed with the lack of covid precautions- neither of the two people working were wearing masks. All in all, we completely overpaid for what we received ($35), and were left disappointed.
Excellent food! Great coffee and Service. The casual environment is very comfortable for a lazy morning.
Great coffee and the homemade pop- tarts are great. Cinnamon rolls are next...
Coffee is good the food (at least the breakfast sandwich) is horrible, cute spot though.
Atmosphere and food are to die for. The tamales are the best. The last time I had tamales made in banana leaves was when I was a kid. I loved them then and I love them now. You just made me a tomato soup lover. Yours is the best. Thanks Gabi and Travis. We will be coming back and referring people your way. Good luck on this new venture of yours. Youre gonna do great.
Went to Trailfolk Coffee for the first time this morning. Met Gabby and had a couple wonderful coffees, my girlfriend had the berry crepes which she said were excellent. Nice little place to stop into right by Harveys and Basecamp. We will be back.
Coffee and food was good and it’s a cute place, but it it took forever to get out food and coffee. Don’t come here if you don’t have restaurant style time to wait for coffee!
Nice, rustic, out of the way and good lattes.
Is inside the Basecamp lobby. Was great beignets was delicious. Fire outside was a nice touch. Extremely nice service.
Very good coffee
