They usually have what I need. The store is clean and the employees friendly. They have high quality meat and if you have a card, you save a lot of money. If you don’t have a card the prices are still very fair.Great little store.

This place is amazing! I was caught off guard by the huge selection of products. Whole vegetable area, fish, meats, freezer section, etc. They even have hand made burgers! The remodel job they got done within the last few years also looks fantastic. It went from a kind of hole in the wall grocery store to a top tier looking store. This place is nicer then Whole Foods. Its incredibly clean and the staff are very helpful.Used to do all my shopping at Raleys, not anymore! They have the same items (some of which are cheaper) and they are an employee owned company. I will gladly support them over the big corporate owned stores.Highly recommended to everyone!

Totally wasnt expecting the amazing selection at this market. They had all my favorite humane meat brands, the produce selection was excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I will make a point to shop here anytime Im in the area.

I LOVE this store! So clean, the produce is always fresh and mostly organic. Great selection of so many items. The meat department is amazing and the employees are always so friendly and helpful. So easy to stop by and grab whatever you might be short on for dinner or anything!

Best place to shop for groceries in the south lake area

You would think that a grocery store in a tourist town would have tourist prices for standard products. How wrong I was. Holiday Market is family owned since the 60s, carrying quality products, including organic items and produce, for incredibly reasonable prices. We were just passing through on a trip further east, and needed to pick up some forgotten things. Now I know where Ill stop every time.

Grocery store is extremely clean and cozy. Staff minds their own but is ready to help at any moment. Large selection of items for such a small market. Conveniently located across our rental, it made our vacation at Meyers much more enjoyable.

This was a pleasant surprise this weekend that Holiday Markets took over Laras in South Lake Tahoe. It was laid out nicely & plenty of food items in all categories to choose from. Its not a huge store but you can tell that everything is fresh & not just been sitting on the shelf like Laras used to be. Try them out, youll be glad. Oh ya, get their membership card to save a lot of money. Things were really cheap with the membership card.

Love Holiday Market. Super friendly staff and a good selection of fresh produce. Prices are great as well. They don’t carry everything but that’s expected for a smaller neighborhood grocery!

Prices are relatively high but they have the last minute stuff I need most of the time when Im in a pinch.

I was recently in Tahoe for a get away weekend and stumbled in to the Holiday Markets. It was right next to the Tahoe Paradise golf course me and my friends were playing. Super convenient, the selection was awesome and the service was excellent. I will make sure to stop by again when Im in South Lake Tahoe. I highly recommend this store to anyone passing through.

My husband has been doing all the shopping since the lockdown and really loves Holiday Market. The best meat market and fresh vegetables. Just about everything you need without getting into town. Rest service too!

The Old Liras has been revamped with new systems better layout but still the good old fashioned service product range and awesome staff.I always stop on the way into Town and get the supplies I need at great prices to fill the refrigerator and start a holiday off on the best foot.So go down and do yourself a favour.

They have really good sales on produce and their prices are definitely lower than Liras

Just moved back to Tahoe from Klamath Falls where a Holiday market opened around the same time as this one! Great little market for the convenience and the nice selection of quality items. Love they get as much organic produce as possible and carry other organic items.

Since becoming Holiday Market, this store has improved drastically (& it was pretty good before!). The prices have come down, the facilities have been remodeled & the product quality & selection has improved! You should stop in - better & cheaper than Raleys!

I was so happy to shop at holiday and welcomed a great and much needed change. I was a regular customer when it was previously owned by ‘Lira’s’ however, I often had to travel into the main shopping center in town to get the items I really needed and wanted.On several occasions I bought vegetables that had gone bad at Liras and felt disappointed with the shabby looking displays and general untidiness of the store. Holiday market was clean and comfortable from the moment they opened and I’ve seen nothing but positive changes. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming and the layout of the store is much better. I felt sad to see the negative reviews from some locals here. There is a definite stagnant attitude here and that is reflected in their reviews. Many people here are against any kind of development here be it good or bad. Holiday market has a wider range of products, especially for women and far more selection of organic produce. They also have a higher quality of brand choices. I highly recommend you try it if you’re staying in Meyers. Save the gas and enjoy being in this mellow part of town.

You wont find everything you need here, but youll find most. Great place to stop in to get some supplies for your Tahoe visit. Staff is always very friendly and polite.

We really love this store. Its set up very nice....user friendly and there are many organic foods.The fresh heirloom tomatoes are the bomb.

Great Store. The remodel is nice, the staff is very nice and friendly. Really wish you would have kept the deli you got rid of the best sandwich in town. That part sucks.

A quaint little chain store. Very clean and had very clean restrooms. (We stopped for a disposable ice chest and they did not have one.) Only one checkstand though and a few self checkouts so dont stop in a hurry.

Great store, amazing selection of anything food and beverage related.

It has only been a few weeks since the change of ownership, but I will give them this: the meat department is getting a face lift as well as the deli, and prices are a bit better than previous ownership. Still am not going to do ALL of my shopping there, but since the change I have found myself there more often. If its like the Holiday in my home town then the meat department will be great. For better prices head into town, but you cant beat its location for the convenience.

This place is fabulous. Small, organized, clean as a whistle, friendly staff. We picked up some sandwiches and drinks for a picnic. They had pre-made sandwiches, no deli on site, but the store is nice. What grocery stores used to be.

If you become a member you cam save big. They have a better selection on harder to find items with better prices

Im a local. I miss a nice cozy family style market with a deli for lunch workers and dinner pickup. Instead Holiday is going for the bucks, including a huge new liquor section.

Bought out a few months ago, prices went up by an average of 10-15 percent, scrapped the deli/bakery altogether, butchery still has a “coming soon” sign, nothing fresh or prepared only commercial groceries, veggies are usually mealy and fruit is never close to ripe, awful meat selection, they don’t even have prepared coffee. If you want commercial groceries drive the extra five minutes to Raleys and pay considerably LESS.
