Fantastic service. Jeff did a full walk through of the house and looked at everything. Much more than the other companies I had come out. The installation was very well done, the guys kept the house remarkably clean and the system works great. He came out twice to answer all of our questions about the TRANE product line, and recommended a configuration that best met our needs. Front office staff, Toni and team, are also helpful and friendly and patient with customer requests and questions. We purchased and installed a Trane heat pump, gas furnace, Clean Effects air cleaner, humidifier, and 1050 thermostat. System works great and our house is comfortable. We highly recommend Heinanen Engineering! We contacted them to give a quote on a new HVAC system. Jeff came out, walked through the whole house, and asked questions about what we were looking for and any concerns we had. Other companies we had out gave the estimate for just the furnace and AC, while Jeff looked at all kinds of other things that would improve our heating and cooling overall. Updating of the duct work around the furnace to make airflow better was one thing that the other companies didnt even mention. Heinanen also fixed the water line going to the humidifier, as it was something he said could very likely leak in the future. Because we also have a standby generator, Jeff also suggested contacting Consumers Energy about a meter upgrade to ensure it could handle our generator, in addition to the new furnace. That again was something no other company had pointed out in previous estimates. The thorough inspection, and giving us such valuable information about these extra things that needed attention, ultimately made the decision to choose Heinanen very easy! I called because of an A/C issue that I had no idea how to find or fix. The technician very quickly diagnosed the issue (our Nest thermostat was stealing power from the furnace) and gave me straightforward advice on how to fix it–get a different thermostat. He very easily could’ve made it out to be something worse/more expensive if upselling was what he had in mind; nothing even close to that happened. Solid experience, if I ever need HVAC service I’ll definitely be calling them again!

Once again, Heinanen has shown its quality of product and service. After replacing my furnace and air conditioning about 8 years ago, Ive had them out again for an on-demand water heater, an annual service agreement and now a new Wifi enabled thermostat. Honestly, these guys should be your only call for anything that falls under the umbrella of engineering. Dont waste your time looking into another company. No one can top the quality of Heinanen Engineering.

Great experience! I like to keep as much service and purchasing as I can to local vendors. Heinanen Eng. was responsive and out to fix my AC the same day I called. Jake was professional, kind, and explained the break/fix in layman terms. Thanks Jake! The only reason I didnt give them a five star rating is because the service fee was not included in the cost of the fix. In my experience with plumbers, electricians, HVAC companies in the past, the cost of the service call is usually applied toward the cost of the fix. That being said, I would still call them back because I felt safe and comfortable with them in/at my home.

Unfortunately technically they were not able to solve my oil furnace issue after 3 visits and recommending me to call elsewhere - so being out all the money and time and in the same situation as before calling I have to rate a 3 solely upon their great customer service and professional communication. Im sure if this was not an oil furnace the experience would have been a 5. Would still consider using again on a non-oil system.

Heinanen must be consulted if you are planning to replace your furnace or AC. I met with five local heating and cooling contractors, and it was clear Heinanen was the true expert in this industry. It was very apparent that the owner Jeff Heinanen wanted to give us the system that would work best for us long term. We also had an very abnormal issue to deal with, and Jeff made sure the problem was solved, even though it wasnt his responsibility. For a few dollars more, I feel we got a far better system than anyone else was offering, or able to provide.

Called for an emergency service call for furnace on a Friday evening when weather temperature was single digits. Jeff politely told me that it would take a while to get out to us based on the workload they already had. He then asked me if I was handy and walked me through troubleshooting the furnace, and coached me step by step on how to clean the sensor that was causing my furnace to fail. Within five minutes my furnace was up and running. Cant wait to schedule my yearly maintenance with them.
