The service was very friendly and polite. Coffee was good and made to order. The bacon was made just right; crispy, but not brittle. Now the not-so-good parts. Whwn ordering at the counter I wasnt able to choose egg style or my side, even though there were different options listed on the menu. The table wasnt clean when we sat down, the toast on my order and bread on my friends sandwich was burnt; see the pics for an idea of how burnt. The egg portion of my meal was small, even though it was supposed to be 2 eggs. Lastly, the potatoes on my plate had zero salt or pepper; no seasoning at all, which made them very bland.

Very expensive food not quality they try and serve chicken sausage in burritos which not premium chicken, dont recommend breakfast burritos unless you are not particular about quality meat. Otherwise service was good and pleasant servers.

They’re open! From 8am to 1pm and currently lots of parking space on the streets. We’ve been here twice and have been enjoying their coffee and pastries. So glad they have GF banana bread! Quite spacious inside, ample of seats. Outdoor seating also available. Tucked in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The ambiance is very nice also!Would like to come back!

Average at best. Nice environment, but service is pretty slow compared to most places. I may have gone wrong ordering chilaquiles at a cafe, but they had almost no sauce and were lacking in flavor, even after ordering a side of sauce. Perhaps their traditional breakfast items would be better. Wouldnt recommend going here for the food.

Mushroom Toast with bacon, red onion, poached egg on top, with goat cheese, grated lemon zest. This item was magic and it’s a special item they are having. $8. This could be an amazing pasta as well (HINT HINT, Lost Parrot). Got this on 7/1/21 so I’m not sure how long this will be available but they should put it on their menu.

Apparently they dont sell food after 2pm?!? Walked in for the first time ever, was not greeted. Stood there and had to ask where to order after a few minutes of wondering if anyone was going to help us. And at 2:07 was told by the guy I asked where to order that they stopped selling food at 2. We left hungry

Being that its my first time visiting and the whole covid situation, a sign outside with directions on where to order and how the seating arrangement works would be helpful. How it works is, you order inside and if youre dining-in, its self seating. I enjoyed my visit. Wonderful local small business with excellent food. Will be returning soon 😀

The atmosphere is what makes this place special. Its so laid back and relaxed, it was a nice break in a busy work day. But the relaxed atmosphere doesnt impact the quality of the food and drink here. The breakfast burrito was not just outstanding, but was a stand out. The coffee has a rich and smooth flavor that was pleasantly surprising. The Lost Parrot Cafe may have earned a spot on my go-to list!

Coffee is great but not worth the wait!Been here twice. First time it took 15 minutes to get 2 coffees. There was a order ahead of me so I figured it was no big deal and I should come back again.Came back a second time a few weeks later at 8:05am. Got the same 2 coffees. Keep the variables constant...It was 8:18 when I got the coffee!Again, this place has great coffee and I love the ice coffee. But, it is never worth 15 minutes of anyones time.

Cannot believe I didnt know this place until last weekend. Theyre a cute little cafe on Huntington Drive in South Pasadena. They offer unique handcrafted coffee drinks and breakfast/brunch food. My friend and I got there at 10:30 and were able to grab a table but soon the place filled up with lines forming outside. Wake up early and beat the crowd. Extremely nice, friendly staff.

Cozy coffee shop and amazing customer service. Pick your table (indoor or outdoor), and order your food/drink at the register. Drinks to be picked up at the bar, and food will be delivered to you when its ready. Help yourself to a cup of water in an environmental friendly Mason jar, and pick up your utensils on the way there. Grab a book or two to read, work on your laptop or chat with a friend.Limited food menu but the hot breakfast was delicious! Vegan options also available.

Such a wonderful spot! Stopped by for Sunday brunch. We had the melon salad and pork sando. Both were truly excellent. The melon salad was so flavorful, with whipped feta, lovely herbs and greens. The sandwich had really flavorful pork, great slaw and a fried egg. Coffee is from Jones Coffee Roasters - so you know that is great. Atmosphere is eclectic and fun. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Nice spot off Huntington, easy to access with ample parking (in the back or right in front on Huntington), friendly staff and outdoor seating so you can enjoy your cafecito. They are only taking card at the moment (due to the pandemic) and have fiber glass for the protection of the staff and patrons.I will also note employees are covered up, behind plexiglass, mask, gloves and have contactless pick up. On the same note for safety reasons youll have to ask for sugar, stirrer etc. Since they have it behind the counter.I am looking forward to coming back!

A unique, quirky cafe off Huntington drive. Thats the best way I can briefly describe Lost Parrot Cafe.No sign from the street, which is seems fitting in some way for this cafe. It almost feels like if you want it bad enough, youll find it.Parking - a small lot behind the restaurant with limited spots or street parking.Come in and order your food first then take a seat! Very much a coffee shop vibe. However the food here blows average coffee shop food out of the water!Seating - limited, but even on a Saturday morning around 9am we had no trouble getting a table! Two words for everyone out there, VEGGIE FRITTATA. Never have I tasted an all veggie frittata that was so amazing. My two year old even gobbled it up, and hes not really into veggies either. I thought the coffee cake was slightly above average, and the croissant was...well it was a croissant. If you dont read this review to its entirety I wont be offended, but just order the veggie frittata. You wont be disappointed.

The Lost Parrot Cafe has an adorable interior with hanging plants, aluminum walls and eclectic furniture. The three larger tables are community tables, which is not a problem. Their drinks are delicious, they have quite a few options and their chai is very flavorful. The food cans out quickly and although some of the dishes are simple, their French toast sticks are worth the calories as the texture is damaging and pear compote is perfect. It’s a great place to study with headphones on during the busy hours. The staff seemed slightly flustered with how busy it was but they were still agreeable. It wasn’t quite clear on the seating and ordering situation, however I suggest having one person in your party wait in line to order and having everyone else find a table.

I had a soy chai late and my 1 year old son had avocado toast (plain requested). The flavor was good but I was disappointed they served with disposable cups and utensils (Id asked for a mug as Id seen them). A couple of people had now suggested this place to me and raved about the atmosphere but there was limited food options to enjoy sitting with (many muffins and croissants sold out by the time we got there at 10:30am) and despite the decor and seating it felt very to-go. It also says family on the window, but they only had one high chair. It was okay, but I came expecting more due to the hype.

Lost Parrot Cafe (est in June 2018) is a cute local corner coffee shop-diner at Huntington dr and Fletcher ave on South Pasadena. They offer American style food with a Latin/Pacific fusion. Taking a cue from the local birds often found in the area, the LPC lures customers in with crafted coffees and board games, books and plants. Indoor atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. Interior decor has live plants, books, board games and a piano. Interior dining area were spacious, organized, neat and well lit. Morever, they have a small full bar at the back that added more seating capacity. Outdoor front patio seats were spacious. We came here on a weekend and its line was short but the place was packed. Luckily we were able to get a high table at the rear by the full bar. Staff were amiable, competent and professional. Service was fast and reliable. We ordered the vegan blueberry two stack pancakes (with ricotta syrup and powdered sugar), reg coffee and orange juice. The blueberry pancakes was soft, thin and fluffy, and flavorful. Syrup was thick and sweet. Coffee was brewed perfectly. OJ was fresh. We liked how its a self-service (i.e. ☕ coffee, water, utensils) type of coffee shop. Prices were reasonable and competitive for South Pasadena area. Overall, we had a good breakfast and dining experience. And we highly recommend LPC.

My girlfriend and I recently moved to the area. We saw this cute little cafe and decided to check it out. We went on taco Tuesday. Everyone seemed nice, but I think they recognized our outsider status and clearly decided to play a little joke on us. It was really fun, they would talk normally but then would all crazily over pronounce certain words. It went something like this. Hi, welcome... What can I get for you guys... Okay great so two Waters, one latte and two ESCARNE-ASADA-ES-TACOOS!!!!. I then asked about the street Milan which everyone in the entire world knows is pronounced Milan. They kept up this fun joke by pronouncing it MY-LAN.... Gosh they are so fun.
