I bought a new mattress last week from the Mattress Firm in S.Plainfield, NJ.I had a few ideas of what I wanted but needed more info.I was lucky to have Charles T. working the day I came in. WOW! He knows the products very well & was able to help me decide on the right mattress for my needs & for my budget.It was a good feeling to make an educated decision on buying a mattress, Mattress Firm & Charles helped!! Yes, I would definitely give Mattress Firm in S. Plainfield, NJ & Sales Associate, Charles T., a grade A+ rating!!

Charles was awesome!!! Understanding, and fast. I got what I want at the price I wanted and he was super nice and friendly.

Liked the fact that they were able to pull up my old order (3yrs back) and was able to place another similar mattress with discount. Sales guy was very nice, courtious and helped me along the way.

Full disclosure: I’m using my mom’s google account because I am too lazy to sign into mines lol. Where do I even begin? This was my first time purchasing a mattress for myself by myself (not really I was with my bf). And we didn’t think we would find something but I stand corrected. The salesman who had helped us was Hamza and he was super informative. You can tell his goal was to find us the perfect mattress that fits our needs. It’s just something you can tell right off bat that he had cared more than making a sale. He gave us information on the types of mattresses, he listened to what we had to say and he had asked questions. At the end, he was able to help us out so much and had gotten us the perfect mattress at an affordable cost. If that’s not the perfect salesman/employee of the month, I honestly don’t know what is. He was so funny too, he got so excited when he did his research and found our perfect mattress for us. I really had the best experience here at Mattress Firm so if anyone wants to find their “perfect” night of sleep, go here and ask for Hamza!!!

We were greeted immediately and the rep: Elizabeth did a quick survey of our needs before showing us several different mattresses that would work for us. She was very knowledgeable about each type of mattress, support, durability and the adjustable baseboards. There was also a great Labor Day promotion that allowed more bang for our buck. The rep was friendly and courteous and so helpful.

This is not customer service so I walked out. Íll buy my mattress elsewhere most likely on-line trial at home and save my time and money.

The Sales Rep was attentive to my needs

It was a horrible experience! I was quoted a Price of $725 for a mattress. A few days later I called back to order it and was told that I could get a free adjustable base. But then the mattress will cost 999. I explained that it didn’t sound free if I have to pay $274 more. But I took the mattress anyway. I ended up not liking it. So I went into the store to return it. I told the manager I didn’t like it because it was too firm and I also didn’t like that I was charged extra for the free adjustable base. He immediately became hostile with me and argumentative. Then he called the police! Three squad cars showed up at the show room! It was embarrassing, humiliating, and traumatizing! I wouldn’t shop there again and I don’t like you in that anyone else does.

There were 2 other guys that helped me with. The guy in the beginning when I was paying part of my mattress off was kind of rude. Didnt really tell me much about the mattresses he was asking me to lay on and feel out. The second dude was very helpful and very sweet and my mattress came perfect. Very pleased.

Buying a mattress was easy with Gian. He kindly stayed after the store closed and worked with us to find a good match for our sleep preferences and our budget. He then followed closely with the delivery company to make sure the entire process went smoothly. I highly recommend South Plainfield Mattress Firm, and Gian specifically!

We compared several frames and chose one that would fit our needs. David then helped us select the perfect mattress for this frame. His knowledge and professionalism made our decision to purchase here quite easy. To date, we are very happy with our purchase and we are glad that David was there to help us.

I would highly recommend the South Plainfield Mattress Firm! We went in looking for one full size bed and left with TWO for a very reasonable price. Our sales associate Dave was great in explaining the differences between the mattress we were interested in and because of his knowledge and great sale price we were able to purchase two beds for our children instead of having to purchase one at a time.

I visited the South Plainfield location last week in search of a mattress for a friend who had been sleeping on the floor. I told Randy, the manager, what qualities she wanted in a bed and what our budget was, and he brought me back to two options at two price points (both within budget). The first one was perfect; it was love at first sit. He gave us a great deal and treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism, and he answered all my questions patiently and amicably. Delivery was fast and my friend LOVES the mattress. The next time I need a mattress, Ill definitely be coming back here! Seriously the best!

David the store manager was very helpful and knew a lot about the beds. He never tried to push me towards one brand or an other. He kept me on budget and found me a great bed will send all my friends to see him.

At first I thought this sales man is nice, he seems cool. He was making jokes with me and my boyfriend trying to assist us but he did mention something about drinking/ beer and alcohol twice. So we sat down with him to see if we could get a better price and he said he was giving us a family/friend price. Once my boyfriend and I decided well just wait to keep looking around since we just decided to go there only because we were going into Party City and also because it was 7pm and we were not going to purchase a mattress set 1 hour before the store closed. We were not in any rush to purchase a mattress set right away. My boyfriend was nice and got up from his seat and said no thank you, well come back if anything and he tried to shake the Salesman hand. The salesman named DAVID wave his hand out (like is he was telling a dog to go away) and moved his hand out the way to avoid shaking my boyfriends hand. My boyfriend just looked at me and told me come on lets just leave and so we walked out. That was very childish of David the Salesman and rude and so disrespectful to a customer. Now it could be because my boyfriend was African American but this salesman refused to shake his hand. If it was possible I would have given this store a negative rating. We were actually thinking of going back another day when we had more time but after that happening there is no way in hell we will be coming back and I will let everyone I know not to ever go there. So they lost our service and many others also. That is not how you treat a customer.

I dont know anything about mattresses so I always call the manager, David K., when Im ready to purchase a new one. I have purchased several mattresses from David over the years because he is always knowledgeable about the latest selections from all the major brands. He cuts through the hype and lets you know what features are important and which are not. He listens and makes recommendations based on your needs, which doesnt always correspond to the highest-priced mattress. This is a refreshing trait to find in a manager as mattresses can be very expensive! Call Dave if you need a new mattress; you wont be disappointed!

Truly dissatisfied.I went in on 10/29 (Tues) ordered 3 value mattresses, a box spring and a frame ($875.38) with delivery. Delivery date was for 10/31 between 9am and 5pm. Matthew was very quick, helpful and kind. No complaints there. After I walked out is when the trouble started. Wed night I get my estimated delivery time call and it sat 9am-11am, ok awesome morning time so not stuck waiting all day. Thursday morning at 7:52am I get another robo call and email, time of delivery arrival is in 1 hr and 15 min, great 9:15am. I then get a work call for a 10am meeting. Work is 15 min away, I should be more then good. We wait.. and wait... and wait..no number to call and see where they are, its 9:20, 9:30, 9:45... finally I have to leave for work so I go. At 9:52 I receive a call for a number I dont know and its a man saying he is here. I lett him know I had to leave he is over 30 min late. Please just leave them on the porch I will be home soon and will stop at Mattress firm to sign for them. He asks me to call Mattress firm first. I said ok but they open at 10am and my meeting is at 10am so I will only get 1 call in. I can text you proof I am asking you to leave then and will accept all responsibility. He says ok and hangs up. I call Mattress firm at 10am but no answer. During my meeting I missed a call from another strange number so after I call it back. No answer but its texts me Call Yolanda, thank you I respond I do not know who this or Yolanda is, who is this the response from the number was just a phone number. So I called it and got Yolanda, Manager for Mattress firm deliveries. I explain what has happened, that I have no idea if my mattresses are even on my porch, and need re-delivery right away if not. She apologies for how rude the guy on the phone and texts were as they should have been more detailed and helpful, lets me know I can go or call my Mattress firm to reschedule right away and asks that I screen shot and text her all the correspondence so she can note the account. She lets me know they should never have been so late or at least should have called when they noticed they were going to be late and I will not be charged for re-delivery. I thank her and head to Mattress firm. I speak 2ith a gentlemen who lets me know because I am trying to change delivery same day his system will not allow it so he will note the account and tell his co-worker to fix it in the morning first thing, they will now be delivered on Saturday..... ok I sign off and leave. No calls, no emails no show jo nothing Saturday so today I call Mattress firm and am very very not happy. I get put on hold for 10 min (which the gentle who answered spoke so fast I didnt even realize I was on hold) then called back and spoke with him (I do not want to butcher his name, behind with a H) I started explaining what happened and I can tell he is not concerned. I let him know at this point if they can not deliver today I am just going to cancel and use Amazon which would not only be here tomorrow but cost half the price for better mattresses. He laughs and tells me to call him in 3 months if I want to try the Amazon ones but Ill regret it. Mind you the 10in memory foam ones I have now ordered for $139 each, I had before I moved and LOVED THEM!! He didnt even try to listen to me when I tried to explain this. The 5in $179 Value mattresses they were going to give me cant compare. He didnt even give me a cancellation confirmation just said he has costumers and will get to it, Ill see it in 3-5days... then PUT ME ON HOLD WITHOUT SAYING ANOTHER WORD!! I only did this person as I was hopeful they would be faster and less hassle them setting them up myself like I did 4 yrs ago, I learned that lesson, better to do it myself then pay for service! Truly dissatisfied.

Pretty disappointed. Promised pillow cases for the free pillows that came with the sale and also never delivered the free mattress sheet also that was part of the sale. Would not recommend this business. They take your premium money then forget you even made a purchase. Another shameful American Business.

Terrible sales person. We walked in on Tuesday evening and asked for Sealy PosturePedic. Rather than ask why, the sales person said they dont carry it and sat back down at his desk and went back to looking at his phone. He didnt once actually try and sell us a mattress and I gave him every opportunity. I asked him if any of the MattressFirm mattresses were comparable and how many days could customers try out the mattresses for. He simply provided yes or no answers to the my questions while looking at his phone. Very disappointed in the service. It could just be an isolated incident as I have purchased from Sleepys prior the merger with Mattress Firm. Maybe management needs to rethink its sales initiatives as Casper and other online mattress firms seem to be taking serious market share.
