I called to see how long the glass replacement would take and spoke to someone who was kinda rude and really didn’t answer my question. In terms of quality, they did a really good job and got it done really fast. The manager Jeff was super nice and very helpful. He met me when I dropped the car off and when I came back to pick it up. He was polite, friendly, and even looked at an issue I was having with my moon roof even though it was unrelated to the glass replacement.
I booked an appointment with this company for 9:30 AM on a Saturday. I arrive at 8 AM and asked if I can drop off the car early which they accepted. While dropping off the car I asked him exactly what time the car would be done and they said at 7:30 PM even though I booked an appointment for 9:30 AM. The gentleman was speaking to me in such a rude tone and being very disrespectful. I did not get any service done at this location. I do not recommend coming to this place. And I’m not the type of person to be writing any review or being a Karen but this is just my experience. Not only that the company informed me that the glass was “already broken” when I got to the shop so they did not want to put me as a priority when I wanted to reschedule they just give me an appointment that was a month after.
I was impressed with the employees at this location. They were very professional, honest, and exceeded expectations.
Impeccable work, and such friendly staff and workers! 👋👋👋
SCAMLITE!!! Complete scam designed to force you to replace your windshield with a substandard replacement that they overbillyour insurance for. I drove in with a barely noticeable 1/4 surface chip and left with a 5 star crack. They tried to talk you into a replacement by offering to credit you the $65 they charge to destroy your windshield. Maybe they dont do this to every car but I am a small female with a 911 and feel I was both profiled and targeted. I now have 2K replacement job. They also insisted on payment so I literally paid them to destroy my windshield.
Our first try to get our windshield replaced, Safelite failed to warn us that our insurance had ordered after-market glass (our dealership service wont touch our car without factory glass). So, we showed up for our appointment and they basically told us to leave, and blamed our insurance (rightfully so) for not communicating, but also took zero responsibility for not warning us beforehand. Surely, they knew that on certain vehicles and with certain insurance, this is an ongoing and predictable issue. Merely passing the blame was underwhelming. On our second attempt, my husband had an 11am appointment for 2 hours, and at 1pm they told him theyd need 2 more hours. No communication at 11am or any other time during the regular appointment period about what to expect. He couldnt miss any more work so, after wasting 2+ hours waiting for the car to be ready and expecting to wait 2 additional hours, he took an Uber back to the office, only to get an automated email when he arrived back at the office ($25 Uber ride) that the car was immediately ready for pickup. The automated emails also seem to be released by staff to show false performance metrics, rather than reality (our first email was sent hours after the car had actually been started). Horrible, incorrect, unfriendly, defensive, and unacceptable communication all around. Avoid avoid avoid if you can! (Even the neighbors commented that they hear people getting upset on a regular basis.)
After a rough start with a surprise cancelled appointment at the San Francisco branch after already getting there, Jeff from the south SF branch stepped up to make things right. They replaced the windshield on my BMW M2 in a very professional manner all while maintaining regular updates and excellent communication. Very happy with the quality of the work done. Highly recommend this branch
Bonnie at the front desk is the best!My insurance 100% covered the repairs. And the techs repairedtwo chips in under an hour.
Went in to the SSF Safelite office to get a chip on my windshield repaired. I was given an appt for 1pm but one of their guys was able to get it done an hr before! I was there maybe 30 min at most. Great service & much appreciated!
Amazing service! Very nice staff.
Excellent service, & quality! It does take a bit longer than usual but great job
Great work, this facility has a neighborhood park around the corner that was nice and quiet to wait in
Excellent service. Automated and personal reminders.
I made an appointment for yesterday morning. The message said to have my car there by 9 am. I have a busy job so I dropped my car off at 7:30 so that I could have enough time to Uber to all of the places that I had to go for work that day. at about 1pm I called to find out if they had an ETA because I had not received a call yet. At that time is when I first heard anything about my appointment being a day appointment which the man said meant they could keep my car to work on it all day. The gentleman said that although they did not have an eta I should try to be there by 4:45. At 4:30 I jumped in an Uber from my office which is 10 mins away and headed to safelite. Before I got there a woman called me and immediately was aggressive with me saying that I had a day appointment and that they had till the end of the day to work on my car. THE END OF THE DAY WAS 27 MINUTES AWAY!! There was no way my car was going to be done in 27 minutes. When I pulled up to their shop they had not even touched my car with the exception of removing a cap from my rear view mirror.
Able to get me in on short notice. Good job overall.
A little rock from a truck transporting gravel bounced on to my windshield and created a chipped crack the size of a quarter. Made an appointment that day. Took my car in and about 40-45mins later the patch work was done. Staff is friendly and courteous. A big high five to them!
Dropped my car off at 815 AM.....I work not too far away so I figured at 5 when I get off it should be completed. Get there at 520 pm...car was not completed until almost 7pm. Windshield replacement and calibration. The work was done well but took much longer than expected.
Really nice people especially the labor workers
Domitre, in SSF, was extremely professional. He completed the side window repair in under the allotted time and the cleanup of glass pieces was impressive!
Downgraded because after having my window replaced I noticed it no longer goes down. Ill have to go back for another repair now -_-
Small, busy shop with very little parking. Spent hours on the phone with insurance company and the shop to get my appointment straight. I dont blame Safelite for this but it was a pain. A few things that bothered me: They made my appointment late in the afternoon then called me a few hours later and said they had to keep my Escalade overnight because they couldnt calibrate the new windshield in the dark. When I picked it up, the receptionist, who is a very nice lady, had no idea where my truck was parked. She told me to walk up and down the street until I find it. When I found it, I noticed they left 2 long strips of tape on the windshield. The worse thing was that I found an almost empty Cup of Soup container in my cup holder. So the technician ate his lunch in the front seat of my truck while listening to Howard Stern (he also changed the channel). I dont even eat in my truck myself. He could of at least thrown the empty cup away. Very unprofessional.
We visited here twice for the front glass only but got nothing. At first visit, we made appointment 2 weeks ahead, but when we visited here we heard they didnt have a part to change. So we booked again 12 days later (thats the most fast). At second visit, we booked 9:00 am and we actually arrived at 8:40 am. We asked how long it would take and they answered around 1.5 to 2 hours. When we returned at 11:00 am, we found they didnt start yet and they answered they could finish till 2 pm. Are you kidding? Just front glass only. They explained there were 5 cars at 8am slot and there were only 2 workers. If so, they should not have appointments that much. We wasted 1 month.
I would like to give high praise to Aman for replacing my windshield. He was respectful and quick to replace it.I had gone to the Safelite in Redwood City and had a pretty bad experience but things went a bit smoother at this location. To anyone dealing with Safelite, I can only recommend you call ahead of time to make sure your appointment is still good to go and they have everything they need.If you have a newer car with driver assist or similar, youll probably need the windshield to be recalibrated and they may not do this in the rain so, always call ahead of time just to make sure.
Great people. Take the time to talk to the folks here and theyll go above and beyond. They were able to find an official factory replacement windshield for my specific car in just a few hours. Most places would have made me come back the next week.Needless to say, it took a little while to remove all the trim and rear view mirror and remove my broken windshield and put the new one in and put it all back together. But its actually a complex job, and when I find out what all they had to do, I was surprised they got it done so fast.More importantly, before I got in my car, I looked over everything with a fine tooth comb. Im a very big on details and no matter where I looked, I couldnt see anything odd or out of place. In fact they did such a great and professional job, it made me think they fixed it by magic. Like they had Harry Potter fixing broken glass and pitted windshields... Who knows. This is the second time Ive been to this location and the third or fourth time Ive gone with safelite recently. They are consistently dedicated and driven to satisfy their customers if you give them the chance to shine.Thank you again, for going the extra mile!
Pretty terrible place. I had an appointment at 1pm but they didn’t start on my car until 2:10 because the technician left for lunch....at 11:30. Also the WiFi only works for 40 mins before it kicks you off the network. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you can avoid it.
No one likes to get auto repair work done. After the great experience I had with this place early this year, I kept this place in the back of my mind for glass work. In the most recent instance, I had to get my front windshield replaced. They were able to assess, order the part and replace it in the same week. No delays or mishaps. The group here is courteous and nice. In the unfortunate circumstance that I need work done, Ill be returning here.Plus, the Standby is literally next door. You can have a beer and popcorn while you wait.
Quick, Easy and efficient!
They sent on line confirmation and tech called to say he was coming on day of appointment. Be there before noon he said. But a no show. No call or any follow up. Tried to call the shop and customer service and they said they cant get in touch with the tech. Wasted my Saturday waiting 6+ hours.Update: I received a call the next day, with an apology and they are trying to make up for the missed appointment. Will Give them another try.Next update: it took over 3 tries to finally get a windshield from this place. If that’s all you do, why are you so terrible at it! Please do not go here, they are the worst!
They left drivers window broken glass all over the floor and inside the door! I had to go to a body shop to have them take the door panel off and do a proper cleaning job for $$! Beware!!
I did replace my old windshield, so guys did remove rust and give me great discount. Thanks a lot. Well done.
I set up an appointment on a computer when I arrived they took the vehicle in and started working on it on time. Most important when I went to my insurance company and said I had the glass replaced by Safelite they said no problem we work with them all the time. My SUV windshields is perfect, accept for the new glass you cant even tell the vehicle was worked on.
UPDATE 8/14/19:My customer experience went from a 1 star rating to a 5 star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I arrived at 8:30am this morning and spoke with Alondra, the Client Service Representative. We discussed what happenedyesterday, she apologized, made things right, and turned the situation around. During this time, my windshield was being recalibrated. Around 9am the technician walked in with a smile, handed me my key, and told me everything was good. He was kind. Alondra and the other gentleman at the front desk are kind, attentive, and helpful. I mainly dealt with her and she knows how to talk to people, which isnt easy when youre the face/frontline of a business. In regards to the windshield installation, the windshield looks like my OEM Honda Accords windshield. In the next 2 to 3 months Ill provide an update on how the new windshield is working out.8/13/19:I made my appointment two weeks ago. I was to bring in my car between 7:30am - 10:30am. I arrived at 9:30am and left at 10am. I was told my windshield would be replaced same day and would be ready to pick up by end of day, 5pm. I tried to call the shop at 3:30pm for the status of the job, but you have to go thru the call center. The representative was confused and we (her and I) were on hold for a very long time. I was told my car was being worked on and Id get a call when it was ready. While I was unpacking I realized it was 4:54pm and I had not received a phone call. I spoke to another representative for status of the job. We were also on hold for a very long time. He wasnt able to get thru to the shop. He told me to go to the shop and get my car. I told him the shop closes at 5pm. He gave me the same line ad nauseam. Why would I go to the shop if I dont know the status of my vehicle. I received a call from the shop at 5:45pm telling me the windshield still needed to be recalibrated, so my car will be ready tomorrow by 9am. Its been a stressful situation. Communication is key. The young lady at the shop is helpful and friendly, but its stressful when you cannot get thru to the shop directly to find out whats going on. Instead you have to deal with the call center. My experience with the call center was horrible. Also, tomorrow is a weekday. I work and didnt plan on being late to work. Im hoping the Safelite shop manager and Safelite will make this right with me. As it stands, Im leaving a 1 star review until I see how this will be handled.
We use Safelite for all our business vehicles, some are cars, some are vans. Usually the guy comes out to our location to do the job. Weve done a half dozen windshields in the last 5 years and every time the job is done right and quickly.Today, the rear view mirror fell off of my windshield on one of the vans. I dropped in to Safelite and they fixed it on the spot in about 5 minutes. They dont have a great waiting room, so maybe its better if they come to you. But if you do have to go there, Darby Dans sandwich shop is just down the street!
I was set up through this company by Geico after an attempted theft. I had to wait several days due to taking time to order a special prius window. The day before my appointment someone called to verify that part. I called back and explained in detail which part it was and confirmed my appointment the next morning. I waited almost two hours for them to show, but no show, just an email saying since they couldnt verify the part they would have to reschedule. They didnt even have the courtesy to call me in the morning to let me know. Terrible service. I suggest going elsewhere.
Customer service is good but theyre always busy
Dont ever go this location, they put cheaper part and told me that my insurance company sent the part. no time to play truth or dare game with these guys.
Quick, friendly service!
Nighttime street parking and drivers window smashed. So tried this location.Price was ok, but Lots of broken glass left inside on the car floor and noisely inside the door!!Bad attitude about sloppy work, so had to take my car to a body shop to remove the door panel and vacuum up handfuls of shattered safety glass.Never again.
I wasnt sure about this place because of all the negative reviews but I must day Matt deserves a raise had me in and out in half an hour for a small ding on my windshield. Quality work and awesome customer service.
Safelight at 955 airport road Ssf is big fraud the receptionist lie sacred me they r not honest
The technician came out to fix the chips on the windshield and he left a chemical stain on the front passenger seat of my car with the chemical that she used so I called Safelite AutoGlass to complain about it and they told me to bring the car to their shop. When I brought it there, the manager denied that the stain was made by them. Then I told them that if I cut out the fabric and tested the chemical stain and found out that it was the chemical they used to clean the windshield, I would sue. When the manager heard this, he told me to bring my car to another shop to clean the stain and that he would pay for the cost of it. However, all the stain cleaning places Ive looked up, requires you to buy a package that comes with other cleaning services in order to clean the stain so I called Safelite AutoGlass again and asked for a recommendation for a place to bring my car to have the stain removed. The customer service representative said that their manager would call me back at the end of the day. I have been waiting for three days and I have yet to receive a call back from the manager or any representative from Safelite. I do not recommend this business because they guarantee customer satisfaction but I am experiencing problems from their service and they are not working to help solve my issue.
Terrible service. Paid upfront for a mobile delivery and had me wait nearly 3 weeks because they didnt order the black molding for my back window. Now the day has come the manager Bobby, tells me i was suppose to bring my car in at 11 Am. Because there isnt a mobile delivery until january 30th .
Very prompt and fast.
Hi guys, I had my windshield replaced like 6 months ago. Needless to say I wanted to burn that place down by the time I left. My technician (ernesto) damaged my car in multiple places. When I pulled him aside to tell him, he told me, do what you have to do. So I left mad ass hell. Anyways yesterday I noticed my winshield had a stress crack. Not wanting to deal with ernesto again, really made me not want to walk into that building again if I was on fire. BUT, I did. Let me tell you, I talked to angie and willie, and after talking to them I was re-assured enough to leave my pride and joy there once again. This was easy to do after they actually listened to my concerns, and said all the right things to Mello me out. I know this place has ALOT of bad reviews, trust me if I could have figured out my yelp account I would have left the most scathing review to ever grace the internet. BUT! They were curtious, professional, and accommodating. Ive been in the automotive business 30+ years, they said they would fix it, and whatever was done wrong before would be remedied. Everything they did was top-notch. The service from customer service to technician was what I hoped for. Thankyou ANGIE, WILLIE, ANTONIO, and BOBBY. You guys made a friend, and a word of mouth preacher. To all my car builder friends, and fellow gear heads building their dreams, or building other peoples dreams. Theres a glass shop in south san francisco called safelight auto glass on south airport blvd. Who will love your car like you do, and treat you like a v.i.p. thankyou guys!
Poor customer service. I made the appointment one week ago for a 7am-noon slot. Today is appointment day and I get a call at 9am from a representative stating that Cipriana called in sick and there are no appointments until Friday. Fail. I chose a different company as a result.
Waited a week for my appointment only to come there and have them tell me that they marked my part wrong, now the soonest availability for my service is 2 weeks later, im tired of being misled, i have no patience for negligence like that, do yourself a favor and just get yourself a good company to service you, it seems they like to lie and give you half assed service
Good people to work with
Very professional. Replacing my windshield with them cost a third of what the dealer quoted me and they even came out to my house to do the replacement for only a 20 dollar fee!
The place is too costly for Auto Glass.
Cant get anyone on the phone.
That company really don even care of problem or any client problem.the manager was rude and ask me to wait for minutes, no one was on the office wait, just me.i guess he was busy using a social midia.
Walked in, nobody at front desk, waited for 15 minutes, people were working in garage, dont take your business here.
Quick service
Manager is a lying snob.Bad, Bad... Bad experience with that location.Worst Customer Support, my appointment was not on the system after 4x times call.
Friendly
Bad support. after schedule a window replace, that company manager just cancel my appointment because he said the shop was full.really?! never recommend.
No good
I want to live and work there, I have experience in repairing the suspension, body work, thanks
