Good place to rent or buy a car. Friendly and kind staff. Wide selections of auto brands. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. They need to improve their parking lots, to be specific customer or visitor parking are not good but not bad either! If you want to rent a car from this location come on weekdays and on Saturday before noon.

They sold me a car that doesnt work and after I returned it they Charge me $200 wasted 3 days of my work and my time the worst service and worse place to buy a car I have ever experienced

Ive bought 3 cars from them since 2009. The only thing I dont like about the place is how small and cramped (and kinda dirty) the office is. Other than that, its a great place to buy a used car.

I bought a Rent to Buy car here the other day and I loved their service. The way it works is you look for a car online, you reserve it - it typically takes 4 days to then see the car. You have to pick it up for the 3 days rental period at the Hertz station by the airport. You get some time to look at the car first, to see if you like it. To me this was really important as you dont get any pictures of the shape of the car beforehand. Then you can test drive it for three days. I used that time to have the car checked out by an independent mechanic. Everything was great, just that one tire had a deep cut on the side, but when I told Hertz about it, they exchanged the tire immediately. To buy it you then go to this location. One of their agents, in my case Rene, will discuss everything needed beforehand via mail with you. He was also very patient and answered all my questions, of which I had a lot because this is the first car I ever bought. The cars are very new, hence they all still have OEM warranty. So far Im very happy!

If Roderick and his team and are representative of the Hertz brand and what it stands for, it’s no surprise the company is in trouble. I went there in earnest to buy a car and they intentionally misrepresented the contract I was signing on multiple accounts to coerce me into adding options that would increase the cost of the car under the guise of reducing my monthly payments. They lied about the interest rate I was being offered, telling me that the lowest possible rate for me was 5% higher than what the bank had actually offered me, then told me that if I added on an optional plan they would be able to lower my monthly payments substantially. In reality, they simply gave me the interest rate I already would have been offered and through that blatant intentional misrepresentation, tricked me into signing on for what amounts to thousands of dollars of additional costs over the course of paying off the car.I have attempted to contact them repeatedly by phone, and have now sent 4 emails to them regarding these unwanted options over the past week, all of which have been ignored.I cannot urge anyone reading this enough — if you are looking for a car, look elsewhere.To Roderick and his team at Hertz in South San Francisco — You have not only lost any future business from me, whether buying or renting a car, but from my roommate who is also in the market for a car that was with me when I made my purchase and was planning to buy from your lot. And I can guarantee you that because of my experience with you, no friend or family member of mine will ever give Hertz their business again.

One call and they quoted writhing an hour just under what it took an hour to get hard balling South Bay dealerships, and a follow up promise to pick me up in the car after work.Best experience Ive had shopping for a car.

I recently went through the process of purchasing my second used car from Hertz. In both purchases the car was meant for my mom. She was out of work and I wanted to get her a car that would be safe, reliable and allow her to make some extra money driving for Uber.The first purchase was 5 years ago. I used the same credit union for financing and everything. However the most recent purchase was by far the worst experience I’ve had dealing with any sales representative. If you come across Shah Popal, steer clear.He was confrontational and condescending. He told me that me purchasing a car for my mom was a fraudulent, straw man purchase and that he wouldn’t do the deal. He proceeded by telling me to go to another dealer.After I explained that I was purchasing the car for my mom and that I had make this exact same purchase with the same bank, through Hertz just 5 years prior, he continued that this was not possible.I had to orchestrate a 3 way call with my credit union, just to educate him on the process. After an hour of phone calls, he finally conceded to get the paper work to underwriting. The whole process took 2 weeks, which is ridiculous.I’ve never had someone so intent on blocking a car purchase. He should be fired.

Not a bad place but off airport grounds and no shuttle to the airport. Don’t come early expecting a car to be ready. It won’t be. But service is friendly and they will try their best to accommodate your requests.

I got a phone call from the office this morning with honest response. And I just get my check, they hand deliver it. They bought me a cake to say sorry.My problem is solved fast with sincere attitude.

Good price, good customer service

The service was pretty good. The office is tiny and cramped and you have to leave belongings and luggage outside, which is unnerving when you have expensive items with you. The car I got wasnt very safe feeling, it had obviously been in an accident and the steering was funky. The wheel off center wasnt a big deal but it felt floaty and unstable at highway speeds despite being fairly new. I didnt drive the car half the time, I instead borrowed one.

Saved a lot of money by getting my car from here. Would have given 5 starts, but they made it very difficult for me to use the bank I wanted, to pay for it. If you go here, ask for Eddie, he was very helpful and even came in on his day off to work around my schedule.

No-haggle pricing no pressure want to sign up. Loan was a little high considering my credit was great but it wasnt a big loan so I went with it. I probably go there again

The car was not ready and I had to wait over an hour. The car they gave me needed an oil change, the change engine oil light was on. The guy tried to tell me that Hertz changes the oil more often than recommended, and not to worry about it. Then when I returned the car they accused me of smoking in it and charged me 300 dollars! They said they found ashes in the car, which were either from the previous renter or (more likely) planted. I dont smoke! I say dont ever go here.

Parking is a challenge, salespeople approach was pleasant and not aggressive. A good place to checkout used cars without the pressure .

Aside from a large online car inventory, the SSF Hertz car sales lot had approximately 50 vehicles for sale. The vehicles all had high mileage and very high sale prices. I walked around the lot for 30 minutes and no sales person engaged me. If you do arrive to look at a vehicle, the lot has space for only 1-2 private vehicle parking spaces. After browsing the Hertz website, I learned that other SF. Bay Area locations have larger vehicle inventories.

Terrible service, try to avoid this office and go to another Hertz branch. I rent cars usually in other locations and the process is easy and efficient. Here its a disaster and they dont care about customers

I had an appointment to purchase a suv, when I got there they said the suv was already sold. Im thinking, why didnt you guys just tell me before I arrived.To add insult to injury, they tried to sell me another car without seeing if the same suv was available at another location.This is the classic bait and switch tactic that shady salesman use. I do not want to do business wit shady people.I hope this does not reflect the values of the company as a whole.

Saved about $3000 on a $11,000 car. That a nice savings. Had a few scratches and a little dent but who cares. Its used. Ill take the $3000. Mazda 5 2014. Like this little mini mini van. $40k on the milelage. Im in the opinion that used cars are driven long distance and less city and people treat them better than their own cars mostly as they are afraid of paying claims. Not always true but so far Ive had my car for 3 months an no issues. I took it to a mechanic also on my 3 days trial and had it checked out. If you can save 25% why not Hertz.

Customer Service by rental agents was alright. However, this Hertz rental location is also a Hertz used car lot. The used car salesman personalities-or lack thereof-were dismissive and rude. Note: be wary of the toll to cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Hertz will send you the fine without giving you fare warning when you rent the car.

Fair no haggle prices so sales people dont seem to care. Beware parking is almost impossible and theres no street parking.

I came to this location after having a horrible experience with the location at santa clara, ca. And the sales man (that sits inside the first left corner office) was eating a hambuguer and talking through the phone while I was telling him what I wanted, and he also was treating the people on the phone very bad. When I got tired of waiting sitting right infront of him, I asked to have another sales consultant and they didnt have another one.HERTZ CAR SALES is horrible in customer services
