I enjoyed sitting on the patio, partaking of their wifi, and sipping my coffee. I wanted a strong brew of decaf with lots of cream and thats exactly what I got. The inside was very pleasant and the service was good. They dont have espresso, and it took a little explaining to get their service model, but the server was clear and patient and I was very happy with what I got.

I always love Philz over allllll coffee shops (but last time I ordered my Oatmeal Cookie here it was actually oddly terrible).TODAY I reunited with an old friend here and the hot Gingersnap was GREAT. Creamy oat milk, medium stevia, just the right amount of spice. So congratulations for redeeming yourselves.Ambiance still 10/10. Those couches in the corner are cozy. All the staff are really friendly as usual. Lots of smiles and that’s always great. Thanks again.

The Ginger Snap coffee is an absolute win. Highly recommend. Similar to a chai latte.

They make it incredibly difficult to order, not worth it. We drove here and they said we arent taking orders, you have to order online. Sure, no big deal. We go to the website and choose coffee, only to spend minutes trying to find a way to order. We give up so we call to place a phone order. We cant do that, you have to DOWNLOAD our app to order Wow! It should not be difficult to get coffee and I definitely should not have to download a whole app to do so. We drove off and will never attempt another visit.We ended up going to Paris coffee shop in the same shopping center. Much better service and had our coffee within 10 minutes. Highly recommend Paris!

A couple of tips before you go to this location:1. Definitely order via app before you get there. My iced tea and chamomile took 35 minutes to make. Dont show up to order, plan ahead.2. Ordering via app will track what youve enjoyed before. An employee once made me a BOMB drink that I didnt know what it was because I ordered in person and couldnt track it through the app.First off, the gentleman directing customers to their drinks on 1/10/21 around noon offered really good customer service. I waited 35 minutes for two teas and when I got back to my car and sipped mine, it was watered down oatmilk with no tea. I was a little peeved and I showed back up and I told him hey I dont mean to be rude but this is terrible and he apologized and told me theyd remake it right away and to trash the original. He produced a much improved tea and even refunded me + he was incredibly positive and genuine about the whole thing. Whoever that guy was, he did turn the situation into a better one.

Well I tried one more time and I definitely love this place! Its not expensive, and it has much more variety than Starbucks Im sorry but its reality! I love the decoration style and how they prepare coffee! The slices equally tasty and the attention as always insurmountable !! Delicious all Caramba !!

First time at Philz!Ok I admit, Im not used to Philz menu selection. (Im sort of a Starbucks~Peets~Paris Baguette guy) So it was a bit confusing and i was in need of guidance on what was good and/or popular. I just asked for a large dark roast. The barista set me up with a Lg Jacobs. Wow! Strong coffee. Im still feeling it and that was two hours ago.My coffee took a little longer than expected to make and it wasnt really that busy. So they must take care and love into each drink . 👍Thnx.Expect to pay $5+ for a large $4+ for a medium sized beverage. Comparable to competitors. But I would say....worth it. Super friendly service.

Also, their Ice Mocha Tesora is really good Light Light which means light sugar and light cream.Medium medium is Philz Way.

The dancing water I had was delicious and extremely balanced. It was strong but not too much, no bitterness, and it had a good amount of cream and sugar. I have been to other Philz Coffee but they don’t get this balance. Yerba Matte is also my favorite I just hate when it’s so hot that it burns my tongue

Philz is my favorite coffee spot. I usually get the tesora blend on the sweeter side. The customization in each drink is unmatchable. They sell their beans too so I recommend buying the blend you like and can make at home as well.

I love Philz but this location is terrible with customer service and making their coffee. My coffee tasted extremely bitter and burnt so I went back to ask to remake it. It was clear they weren’t happy to take it back, but after asking a few questions the guy printed the order and asked the barista to make it. She questioned him, gave him attitude, and then snatched the order from his hand. The person making my coffee was Amanda — sounds like she could use some lessons on customer service and making coffee as the second order tasted just as terrible. I was not the only one asking them to remake my coffee. There were other people asking to remake their coffee as well.

Any Philz is great to be honest! Always friendly people/ service, fantastic coffee and they always make sure and double check your coffee is tailored to you. I always enjoy looking at the art they have, very interesting and fun to look at. Its great Philz supports local artists. Also Im pretty sure at any location you can bring your thermos, have them fill it up and you pay the price for a small! I love the strategy and their effort to cut down on waste.

One of the most flavorful coffees i ever got to have, with the caffeine punch.

First time here asked how do we ordered, they said online which is no big deal. So we ordered and then it says 45 min, now there is no one in line. So we go tell them it says it will take 45 min is this right, and he says yes! How does it take 45 mins to make two cups of coffee. We left without our drinks that we paid for We will never be going back to this coffee shop.

Best Philz to avoid the line in the city.

Their business model guarantees that you are happy with your coffee. They wait until you taste it and approve. What I really liked was the Twist pastry -- a croissant-like twisted donut covered in sugar and cinnamon. I should have taken a picture of it, but when it comes to something that good, the camera does not get to eat first.

Very nice coffee. There are a lot of choices of flavors. The medium strong coffee was in my opinion extremely strong, I prefer the thinner coffee which was still a bit strong. There was quite a big line the first time we went, the second time my boyfriend ordered via the app and when he entered the store they were expecting him and saying hi. Good experience. Oh and the bagels are delicious!

Everything is always good here, great service, enough seating and friendly staff.One thing that this location is lacking in is a sufficient number of outlets. There’s only a few places . Also the back wall has a very awkward table that doesn’t fit most regular people’s height while sitting, it’s sorta weird.Also the prices are getting a bit high, $6.25 for a mint Mojito is pretty pricey... when a coffee gets to the same price as a beer, that’s getting a bit high!

I do not understand the hype. It took 25 minutes to get my coffee. Their Ambrosia coffee tastes just like Whole Foods light roast.

Really interesting menu model. I love how they prioritize coffee-quality and natural coffeebean flavors over sweetened sugary garbage. While you pay a premium for their coffee, I absolutely adore this style of coffee franchise and wish it was on the east coast. Highly recommended.

It was good, not the best coffee Ive ever had and the setup is super weird if youve never been to one before. Very confusing, lots of yelling and youre expected to know what you want. Interesting experience, and Id go back.

Coffee is great! All coffee is brewed to order. Expect to spend at minimum ten minutes here though. The coffee is worth the wait. They have tons of choices between light and dark.

I came here a few times when I did night shift work up here. I greatly appreciate their late business hours (until 11:30 PM; pretty late for a coffee shop!)

Conveniently located at Westborough square, it is what gets me through the rest of the day while waiting for my kid at Kumon. Facilities are what you would expect at any other Philz, decently sized with very high ceilings and a rustic vintage feel. Various art hawked on the walls and other decor provides a brief distraction from the wait as it does get busy, and the smell of coffee wafting your face will boost your cravings for your coffee fixing. They will take the time to perfect your drink-- so very worthwhile. Ask for sweet and creamy, any degree of it, or take it without, but it will surely sooth your soul after your first sip.

Coffee is always the way I ask and staff is extremely helpful when you dont know the menu or simply just dont know what you want.

This is a clean, spacious family-friendly joint with easy-going and friendly baristas. More importantly, the coffee drinks are delicious. Park on the side of Chase Bank next to Philz instead of immediately in front of the shop. Its easier to find a spot there and less stressful to back out from.

Tim made our coffee and he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the different blends of coffees. The atmosphere of the place was warm and inviting, and the open space made the place feel quiet and intimate even though the were pretty busy. Definitely will come back here.

Im always a happy camper to come to Philz. Each location has their own flare which makes it more enjoyable. Loved the open feel and prompt service though I would make it more obvious of where the line starts. Delicious mint mojito and avocado w/ egg toast.

Very nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I liked that they let you try the drink you ordered before taking it so that you can make sure its made the way you like it.

Great place to get coffee in SF. They are everywhere there is seems. Just know that the system for ordering coffee is different. Stand in line, wait to be called up, then pay and listen up for your name to be called. They also dont have lattes or drinks that you would expect from a Starbucks. What you see on the board is what you can order only!

Coffee was amazing, I had it with mocha which tasted less sweet but had more flavor. Their lines were pretty fast despite how long it looked. Bagels are great with hummus.

Best coffee in a long long time . Why haven’t I come here earlier. I had one of their medium Bodied coffees it had aromas of hazelnut and chocolate. It’s been such a long time since I’ve had coffee that had aromas and flavors instead of brown bitter water

This Philz Coffee location is cool. I have always had a pretty good experience when I went there. I realize that this may be a trendy pop culture type of coffee house, but I do find that the customer service is a bit lax ( Or Im just getting old lol ).Be prepared to stand in a line that goes out the door on the weekend. I really appreciate hat they have a lounge area and accommodations for children.

This location is busy for a reason (other than the fact it is the only one available in Daly City). Between the price of having a cup of specialty coffee and how busy it is at this location, it can be kind of frustrating.Because this location is new, it looks clean and very well designed given that it is fairly compact. In addition, the staff is friendly, and quick.Lots of parking in the shopping center, and adjacent to many restaurants.

Nice and cozy place. Super friendly staff. Only do pour over style coffee so no espresso machine. Got the aromatic arabic which turned out really good! Ill definitely be coming back here more often.

I love this Philz because it is spacious, the staff is friendly and helpful and the service is quick! I’m always in and out of here in about 5 minutes. And they make the drinks perfect!

Parking can be issue at this location since there are lots of eateries and convenience stores at this center, so I try to go in the off hours. Compared to other Philz Ive been to, the drinks are not as flavorful/strong at this location, and service is noticeably slower. I may go for a regular cup of coffee next time.

Great working space along wit he obviously amazing tasting coffee. Only draw backs are that the parking is pretty terrible because the entire plaza is a magnet for people with popular storefronts. Need to study?? Bring your stuff, grab a spot, and camp out. Theres food everywhere and the wifi is good !

If the line is this long its got to be good! And yes it is! Philz serves a great cup of coffee. Even though the line snakes out the door, they have enough baristas with great attitudes to keep the line moving as quick as possible. Theres plenty of parking at this location since its in a newish shopping plaza too.

No common sense and customer service what so ever. I asked for a bagel and the ran out which can happen. Then I asked for a toast and the cashier said sorry we are out. I saw packs of bread and asked: how come? you have bread on the shelve behind you. He said let me ask.Then he asked and the lady (might have been the supervisor) said sorry we only get 4 packs bread per day. This is for tomorrows customers!You turning down one today for tomorrow!!!!I DONT GET THE LOGIC BEHIND THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE....WHAT I UNDERSTAND THOUGH :YOU JUST LOST ONE OF YOUR TOMORROWS CUSTOMERS.

7.1.2015Just another glorified Starbucks? More like the Safeway coffee section. Hazelnut flavor and other artificial enhancers are added to their pompously named drinks, e.g. the Philharmonic - its a 7-Eleven-style coffee with hazelnut extract in it. Im sorry I have to go against so many good reviews but any artificial additives arent just unhealthy but they also hide the true taste of their coffee.

My go-to spot for coffee. Too bad there arent many of these places. Usually grab a large coffee and a gluten-free brownie. I usually go with their light roasts black. Usually a line waiting due to the pour-overs.

Soooo slow!Too slow! Its Monday morning Philz!! Get it in gear!!I counted at least 9 people behind the counter and there was only one person in line in front of me. I could have (should have) gone home and brewed a pot in the amount of time it took to take my order and make the coffee.... ughhhStill, I was expecting a great coffee -- 18 min later (that is a long painful wait for a single cup of coffee!!) -- the coffee was ready.Ouch.It was scorching. Too hot. Too bitter.I asked for extra oat milk - but they did not even get that right.I had heard good things about Philz, it just did not happen for me.Too slow. Too hot. And I would not wait that long for a house coffee, ever. Or ever again.PS- eco conscious folks- there is no discount for bringing yer own mug, boooo! So to recap, $3.60, for overpriced, scorching, bitter cup. Never again.
