Bakery is never stocked throughout the day or replenished in the evening. Sushi department is very rude at this location. Restrooms arent usually stocked or cleaned at night, thats when most of us can go do our shopping. Store is pretty small and almost always out of stock every time. I still love Safeway and cashiers, and stockers are very nice.

Wanted to apply for Safeway card however was not impressed with the phone call to activate. After several minutes I quit and left

Great grocery store 👌. You get more money saving coupons if you are a member. We save lots of money with the coupons, generally around $90 each visit. We feed 4 growing teenage boys! No disappointments with shopping at Safeway!!

Better quality control should be enforced. I went in to buy sushi for lunch and when I got to work, opened it to eat, I noticed there was a dead fly on top of one of the rolls. Very disappointed and disgusted. I would add photos if this review aloud me to do so. Won’t get sushi from there ever again.

Finally I found a place in this country where they sell good Port Wine. I mean the Port that is allowed to bear this name. Cause it is made in Porto.

The Store in spearfish is clean and produce is excellent,but the prices are a bit higher than I thought should be.

Really great selection. The prices on some items can be higher than some places but that can be offset by coupons, they also do promotions that can be a blast. Im going to be stopping more often for a great variety of healthy choices.

I have to say Ive always just loved Safeway I dont get there very often because I live too far away but when I go there I especially enjoy their bakery their breads.. very good jalapeno cheddar breads and so many others just an awesome bakery I Love You Safeway for your bakery

I really appreciate the lengths to which the company is going to make the store as safe as possible for customers & employees. All employees are wearing masks & they are encouraging social distancing measures. A very friendly female employee greeted me at the self-checkout today. It was as pleasant an experience as one can have during this difficult time, I believe.

Safeway is my go to place for groceries because of the club discounts. The shelves are stocked and the aisles are clean and taken care of. They have a small cute floral area if you need a last minute bouquet of flowers, a good vegan selection any and all coffee options, seafood and a great deli. Sometimes I struggle finding staff when I am unable to locate certain items. This could just be from the later hours I go in.

This place was great. We needed some last minute stuff for our get together while at the #Sturgis2020 bike rally. Safeway had everything we needed!

I’m tired of being discriminated against every time I go to the register at this store. Especially with the amount of money I’m spending here. My last receipt was $600. That’s not what I’m upset about. Every time I go to the register, I find a line with a cashier that has a bagger, but when it’s my turn, the bagger disappears, but then they suddenly appear again for the customer behind me. It makes me feel horrible.

Always great service, fresh produce, wonderful meat department. Lots of free stuff and extra savings via their J4U app. Makes it cheaper than shopping at other stores. Also, if they are out of any item, either sale or free, they always allow me to subtitute a similar product! Only place in town I shop for my groceries.

Normally we love going there to get foot long sandwiches. We bought 2 Italian sandwiches today. First bite I thought I had found a string in it. Pulled it out of the sandwich. It was the plastic wrapping from the pepperoni. No big deal. Whatever. A couple bites later, same thing. In all I found 3 pieces of plastic in this sandwich. Not cool.

Safeway in Spearfish, South Dakota is an adequate grocery store. It suites most needs, and it carries just about everything. The produce can vary in quality. There is a Starbucks inside where you can get a coffee. I recommend the bakery, theyve done a good job on most of the cakes weve ordered from them and they taste great. The service can come off as unfriendly at times.

Always been quite fond of this particular grocery store. One the veggies are fresh, I love apples and oranges. The variety of breads and the Deli outstanding. Soup, sandwich, salad and dessert absolutely fantastic. Try the fried chicken, great recepie. All in all a very happy and satisfied individual I am. Service outstanding and informative. The atmosphere busy but extremely calm.

Went after work for the $5 chicken deal. It wasnt even worth $5. The biscuits were so hard, even putting them in the microwave didnt help. Must of got the last of chicken, because the breading was really hard and the chicken was dry. I shop a lot at Safeway, but what a disappoint. Wont ever get the deal again. Was tired, but had to go somewhere else for food. Threw it away.

Expensive store. Difficult(self) checkout everytime. Machines extremely finicky. Sales only if signed up and download an app. Customers are rude, snooty.

The store in general is all right the people at the door handing out masks should just go away you cant order people to wear masks she handed me one I did not wear it and I will not wear it the end

I really only go there for the sushi. Which is the best you can get in this area. Thats made fresh everyday. And Im pretty sure that the dudes actually Japanese, which makes a huge difference to me. I love the eel roll.

Their self checking stations make me feel like I dont know what Im doing. Constantly checking on you, telling you to scan, hurry up and then all of a sudden it calls for help. If they are that worried about people stealing, get rid of them.

Our hometown Safeway is really failing, just in a week I have had three rotten small melons and a rotten acorn squash. I am finding expired food on the shelves, I discovered a large quantity of Keurig coffees were on the shelves 2 months past their expiration . Most stores are getting their cleaning products back on the shelves since COVID but not our store. I have hated this store since Albertsons took over. So disappointed in our home store and maybe others are just same...don’t know.

Its very crowded and everyone is running into each other. I thought it would be like the safeway in Omaha NE but I was wrong. And the tiny clerk lady running the self checkout was SO CUTE and sweet. But goodness their prices are so much more legitimate than Lynns Dakota Mart. That place Robs this town and its sad. Because people need to catch up and even trying to eat home meals cheap adds up a lot more than people know who dont live outside of this town

The most crowded SafewaY Ive ever been too. Its like moving cattle to get through an aisle. Low inventory. Still manage to save 25%+ on shopping deals however.

The staff at this location is very helpful and always know where the items I am looking for are located. The prices are fair. I was also looking for a place to send Western Union and was pleased they offered this service as well.

Always clean and stocked. They could use more checker almost everytime we go there. Their generic brand is good and sometimes better then name brand. Produce lasts and prices are competitive.
