Best pawn shop Ive known. Manager,Chris, is so nice he called me to tell me that an item was over due and I told him I couldnt be there for a couple days and he gave me extra days til I could come in. This pawn shop I trust with my stuff. Great Job 6 stars

Great group of people. Always friendly and helpful. A fair deal when you need to sell your used items. And always quality items at a fair price. And with a 10 month layaway you cant go wrong.

Staff is nice and their selection is ok. It’s a clean store. Not much in their jewelry section though. Movie selection is ok. Good place to go if you want music instruments, too.

Absolute worst experience Ive had at a pawn shop. I explained to the guy that I was going out of town for a month so I was going to put the gun on layaway. I made the payment and when I called to make another payment they told me theres no way to pay over the phone. I am out of state until 3 weeks from now. They gave me absolutely no options of how to get this taken care of other than send a friend. Refuse to take any payment over the phone or even a direct wire. The manager was completely unprofessional and I will definitely not be coming back here. Needless to say they get to keep the money Ive already paid. Ridiculous.

I made a purchase in August 2017 for a HP laptop. I know it was used. The experience so far hasn’t been good. Our family has used HP products before and have been excellent.It freezes every time and needs updates every 2 weeks, which takes ages for the computer to start. Battery lasts shorter and shorter. Can’t handle more than 7 internet windows opened. Save your money for a new laptop at a mayor retail. It costed $200.Customer service was excellent.

Rachel Mersiovsky -so hunting season is coming up and me and my family went in to check out their selection to no avail of finding my daughter a hunting rifle that she wanted. the muddy girl .243 youth rifle Mr. Chris helped the whole way and offered to keep an eye out for one for her incase one popped up. The one rifle she had her eyes set on. Since they are hard to come by my husband and I continued to look around and had some issues with a company Mr. Chris deals with and he has gone out of his way to deal with them personally. soon my daughter will be receiving her first hunting rifle and her hunting dreams will fall into place thanks to Mr. Chris for all his work and his dedication to helping us make this possible for our daughter.

Had my valuable silver coins here and was paying my pawn monthly till time came for me to pick them up. They go to the back and tell me my coins were pulled, as i was still paying for my pawm loan monthly. My father gave me those coins in which i told the manager he was like sorry. And helped another customer. They offered me 50 bucks for them. I do bet this guy keept them for himself. I have taken action on this matter and will move forward with an attorney. This is wrong on so many levels.

Ive always liked the employees. They are fair and knowledgeable considering the wide range of products that can be pawned. Definitely 5 stars in my opinion.

Its a pawn shop. Know before you walk in that youre not going to get new pricing. That being said, theyve been great to work with. Walk in, know whether or not you want to buy, and go from there.A couple of time Chris has cut me a deal when buying. And a couple of other times theyve stood firm on the price. All in all its a good place. Just remember that youre dealing with a pawn broker and not an exclusive collector of fine cat dust. You might value that dust at $100, but does the neighbor? And will they come buy it?

Yesterday 7-17-2020 I went in around 1pm, I got offered $60 for a ps4 and and extra controller. I don’t know his name but it was a big dude with tattoos kind of look lost, confused my first generation ps4 with a pro ps4, then he had to look up what he could give me based on his “research”! Common man ps4 are a hot item, with great profit margin even if I were to lose the item, I felt offend when I ask him to please loan me $120 wich is fair and he offered me $60 ( by the way I’ve picked up my stuff every time!) I took my stuff at cash America and I got $140 that I really needed it. Make sure you train your staff on profitability and customer retention! I’m never coming!

Its hard to give a star rating on This place the people are so, helpful, funny and naturally good people Which makes me love the place . But they give less than every other pawn shop in the area and prices are a little higher than most in the area. If you go by customer service they should get 5 stars if you go by price they give and charge Id say 2 stars

Such a wonderful shop! Went in just to see what I could find. Now I’m a regular! The employees are extremely helpful. The manager, Lisa is extremely knowledgeable and knows just how to make the customers fee like a part of the Cypresswood family. I have definitely become a repeat and regular customer.

Linda is first rate. Shell take care of you. They do a good job. I like them and will keep patronizing them.They were good. Then they hired a new young clerk. She treated me very rudely. It made me question why I bother to give them my hard earned money.

I usually come here to buy my video games. and they are pretty nice they engage in conversation with me and have extremely good deals on their game related stuff.one of the employees is especially nice and has good customer service(dont know his name though. overall they are extremely nice and have excellent service

My wife and I have been going to Cypresswood Pawn and Gun for about 5 years. Their customer service is outstanding! My wife and I are avid target shooters. We have purchased many weapons from them and they all have been great!Lisa is especially fantastic. She already knows what we like and when we walk into the shop she will tell us that something came in that she thinks we will like.I also buy weapons online, so if you need an FFL Lisa is more than happy to transfer the weapon. You cant go wrong buying from them!

Asked about an item listed and said it was there. Drove over 1 hour to get there to find out it was not available. When you tell someone you have it, dont just say it check for the person asking. First and last time there.

Lisa is great. She has great customer service skills and she is concerned about the customer. I had an issue with a firearm I purchased and she did everything in her power to correct the issue for me. Highly recommended. Ill be back soon.

I have bought multiple items from this store and have been given a great deal every single time. Lisa (manager) is great to work with. They have the old school feel going on. With all the pawn shops going corporate, its great to find a REAL pawnshop close to home.

I bought a beautiful new guitar for my daughter, this is a great place to shop for games on PlayStation and when Im short on cash they are always there. Chris is an awsome manager and staff is so nice

I have used their pawn services on several occasions and purchased from them. They are great as far as I am concerned. It feels like a nice mom & pop store with great Customer service. Love the management, Lisa, is wonderful. When they first opened, they were rude. Since this management took over, they have been nothing buy nice. I will continue to do business with them.

I recently purchased a vintage slide projector from them the item was in very good condition and works perfectly. I am very pleased with the purchase. The staff is friendly and courteous.

My experience was terrible. They listed a camera on Craigslist that I really wanted. My best friend just retired from the Marines, and he came home to his wife and 1 year old baby girl. As a gift, I was going to take birthday pictures of his daughter, so getting this camera was really, really important to me.I called to confirm the listing was accurate, and I was told it was, so I drove 2 hours one way (due to rain and traffic) to purchase it. I get there and discover its a cheaper camera than the one listed. As one employee mentions the inaccurate listing to the other, the other says, Yeah I know. Ill go change it now.They knew? I was very angry, but I remained polite.Then they offered to sell it to me for $20 less because I had to drive so long. My only problem with that is its not the camera they listed. Its not the camera they confirmed they had, and its not the camera I came to purchase.UPDATE: I felt bad for writing so harshly and not showing any grace, so I came back and edited the review a bit. Also, someone from this pawn shop called my phone from an unknown number and left me a nasty voicemail after seeing my original review.

I am really glad to see their Craigslist ad .. It tipped me off.. I was able to purchase some stuff that was stolen out of my vehicle some months back. Their prices are pretty reasonable..

I got a gun and had to return it due to severe family matters. they didnt want to return it and instead said will only buy it back. I bought the gun for $280 then they bought it back for $140 and wouldnt negotiate or ANYTHING! THEY SUCK AT THEIR JOB! NEVER EVER GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF! The old management was MUCH better.

They have good customer service here with quick response times. The manager is very friendly and always willing to help.

These people lie through their teeth to you. I called inquiring about at item that they posted on craigslist and asked what time they closed. They replied 7pm and I knew time would be tight, but I ran across town and made it by 650pm. Despite having an were open sign posted in front of the building and two members of the staff just inside, the door was locked. One of them glared angrily at me and told me to go away. These are not friendly or timely people, they do not want your business, I would suggest not bringing them any.

I found this place to be both dingy and dirty dont know where the positive reviews stem from. The manager a female told me to look up a price for an item was not in her job description.Laughable and sadly ridiculous. Go elsewhere, try Money Mart on Aldine Westfield. #dobetter

I dont know about the other reviewers but I had a good experience when I go to this store. The staff is nice and pricing is good and if the price is to much or over priced they are willing to make a deal. I bought an IPAD 1st Gen 16GB for $225. They had $275 on it. The only time I seen the staff get mad is when some crazy woman cam in wanting $150 for a rough mongoose bike that you can buy at Wal-Mart for $80. Then she stared cussing at them. Told her to get out but never cussed back or yelled. So those who had bad experience should give them another shot.

I have sent a couple of firearms that I bought with out a problem I was planning on buying a firearm from gun broker I asked if they did ffl transfers from gun broker and they told me that they did when I tried to get the info to send it one guy was very rude about helping me he clearly didnt want to do his job and he treated me disrespectful and tried to make me look dumb I probably wont be going back customer service is important to me

Do not bring gold here! They are literally trying to rip people off. They pay less than 1/3 the price of gold.
