I initially gave this place a good rating when I bought the used car. The office staff was really friendly and helpful, and the price was reasonable. There were no obvious outside defects on the car, and I took the car to a mechanic before purchasing it. The mechanic showed me a leaking shock and brake pads that needed to be replaced. I understood that this was a used car that would probably need some repair, and I was OK with that.However, I was really disappointed when after 4 or 5 car washes, the exterior paint had been revealed with TONS of faded spots (original paint was black, faded spots were silver/white). The spots were all over the hood and on the sides of the vehicle. They were extremely noticeable and were several inches in diameter.Firehouse Auto essentially used some sort of black polish to cover the spots so that the car would look perfect on the exterior. I totally understand a good wash and wax before you put the car on the dealers lot, but to knowingly cover VERY FADED exterior paint spots is just dishonest. I would never have purchased the car the way that it looked after the car washes revealed the large, numerous faded paint spots.EDIT: the 4-5 washings that happened were within a month or two after we bought the car. The fading of the paint happened very quickly and did not just happen a year after we bought the car like the business owner implies in his response to my review. We moved out of state within that month of buying the car, so it was not practical to go back and talk to the owner of the business.He is correct that the car did not have those spots when I bought it, hence my frustration when they appeared a month after it was purchased and washed 4-5 times.I am doing the review a year later because a relative asked me about the faded spots on my car when they saw it. This prompted me to write this post.

When it was time to purchase a new-to-us car, we struggled to find one that had everything we needed. (As the primary vehicle to transport my 83-year-old mother, we had several very specific requirements.) We are so happy to have found Firehouse Auto Sales. We found several vehicles that fit our parameters in their inventory.After test driving this car, we determined we wanted to purchase even after identifying a couple of mechanical issues. Upon discussing those items with Amber and the Firehouse management, they agreed to fix them overnight before we took possession of the car. We arrived the next morning to complete the purchase, but they had identified another issue and they had decided to repair it, too.Firehouse does not offer in-house financing, but can coordinate with local credit unions to assist buyers, if necessary.I am very impressed with the integrity shown and I will purchase from Firehouse Auto Sales again.

Firehouse Auto Sales is great!We had searched on the web for the vehicle we wanted and found several in the Utah County area. We checked out one a few miles away but didnt feel like it was the right one especially when we were told that we could only get the advertised price IF we financed through that particular dealership.We looked some more and found an upgraded model at Firehouse Auto Sales for the same price as the first vehicle we had looked at and Amber said that the price would not change whether we paid cash or if we found financing for it. What a relief! I found a car I liked on KSL and sent a text asking if was available and whether or not the price was negotiable, as there was a similar car (a bit newer) for the same price. They said yes, come take a look and we will talk. We took the car for a ride. Came back, chatted with Amber about the price, worked out a fair deal. I had financing already secured through my credit union, (which I highly recommend before you even start looking at cars). We wrapped the whole thing up in a few hours. I highly recommend Firehouse. Reasonable prices and had a good selection for a small dealership.Havent had any problems with our car (bought in May 2018) besides a grinding sound in the motor (happens on start up) that never happened until we bought it. We test drive it multiple times but never heard that sound. Come to find out that is a normal thing for Honda CR-Vs.Either way we cant complain about the dealership though.

The owner called us right back when we inquired about a car we found online. When we got there, they had it all cleaned up and a full tank for us to test drive. My grandson and his girlfriend bought a car from this company. I cannot stress to prospective buyers DO NOT BUY A CAR from this company or it’s owners/employees. My grandson and his girlfriend found a car at the dealership and got their loan through a bank. They had the car for less than 2 days when it started to overheat. I mean to the point that it quit driving. They had to have the vehicle towed. It had a warped head. They tried to say that it was my grandsons fault and did not want to fix it. After a lot of stress and worry they finally agreed to fix it. When we went to pick up the vehicle they charged them $250.00 dollars as some fix they said had to be done on top of the repair! They took advantage of a young couple. A couple that is just starting out in life. Please keep your family and friends away from them. They are not honest, they are condescending and crooked in their dealings. AVOID them. This is a warning to all hardworking people.

Four stars because we had been told that the washer fluid pump had been repaired on the car we purchased and when we got it home, found out it wasnt working but overall weve been very happy with the car.
