I visited Tire Town around 1:15pm as a walk-in appointment and asked them to assess (and hopefully repair) my tire suffering from a slow leak. I was out the door by 2pm with an air tight tire! Further still, they fixed my problem for the amazingly affordable price of $42!I am thoroughly impressed with my experience here. The staff were friendly and courteous with every customer they interacted with, both on the phone and in person.I strongly recommend Tire Town to *anyone* in need of tire services. We were traveling to Michigan for a family wedding. Our Ford Expedition hit a 3ft piece of a steel rod and it punctured our front left tire. The closest place on the way was Tire Town. The price was very competitive and these guys were great- had us back on the road in 45 minutes! Would have loved to visit State College for other reasons besides needing new tires, so we recommend them!

Pleased that Eric and the Tire Town tecnicians asked to assess a low tire with a screw in it I expected to replace recommended a repair. They safety inspected all four tires and had me out in less than an hour for less than $40 with a simple permanent repair. Not many shops you can rely on to sell you just what you need not what they can push. When I need to replace the tires on my truck Ill return to Tire Town.

Tire Town is awesome. They have amazing service and are the best all around garage for service, tires, inspections etc. in State College. They are friendly on the phone and in person. They are great at scheduling, always finish on time and are great at getting you in and out quickly and efficiently. I cant recommend them enough. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my car service needs so long as theyre able do it! Their prices are also great!I changed my tires here, changed my oil here, and did my yearly inspection. I also fixed a puncture here once. Theyre honestly the best. Dont even think about going anywhere else. Avoid places like Monro at all cost!

So I went back today and said I can’t wait so they put the new tires on and what excellent care they all do for customers. In and out of there in about an hour and a half. Great customer service! Discovered a gigantic nail protruding from my tire while visiting my PSU student. Her friend recommended Tire Town, so I gave them a call. No appointment necessary for a nail-in-the-tire situation. (Always check first, just in case Wile E. Coyote dumped a case of acme tacks on the road and there are other drivers in your predicament!). Done in less than an hour! One regret: I should have brought a sandwich to enjoy while sitting in their outdoor tailgate chairs on this lovely day!

Been a customer for over 3+ years now and Ive regularly got some tire related work done. Either getting my tires replaced or swapping my summer and winter wheels. I had a fantastic experience with the Tire Town crew. I came into the shop without an appointment after just having to jump-start my car, and the guys were able to inspect the car, replace the battery, and pump up the air in my tires (without me asking) within a time span of fifteen minutes.All of the employees were very friendly and professional as well, along with following the appropriate COVID guidelines. I have nothing but good things to say about Tire Town. I’m a college student, a woman, kind of petite, and pretty obviously know next to nothing about cars, so I’m always worried that auto mechanics will try to take advantage of my ignorance. But the guys at Tire Town always take time to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my car and what they did to fix it, and never talk down at me for not knowing about auto repair.About a year ago, I lost traction during a snowy morning and slammed against a curb, denting the rim of my front driver-side wheel and causing a leak in my tire. It was dented pretty badly, and I was dreading having to spend hundreds of dollars to replace it, but one of the guys at Tire Town told me that they managed to bend it back into place and I haven’t had any problems with my wheel or tire since. They certainly could’ve told me it was absolutely busted and that I needed a new wheel, and I would’ve believed them, but they didn’t.Today my car battery died and I was freaking out about not being able to get an appointment with TT quickly, because I need my car to get to work and was planning to drive down to my parents’ house for Christmas in three days. Tire Town is usually pretty busy, so I was preparing myself for only being able to get an appointment after Christmas. But they told me that if I could get it jumped, I could drop it off and they’d get it back to me as soon as possible. When I got it to them, they got my car in their garage almost immediately and got me in and out with a new battery in half an hour. I was surprised and extremely grateful at their urgency and efficiency.I always recommend Tire Town to any of my friends in State College who need car maintenance. Im glad to have found an auto repair shop that I feel comfortable at!

I had a bad experience here. The customer service is horrible and they take forever to get the work done. I was there for 2 hours for a simple job that shouldve taken about 30 minutes. They were also rude whenever I asked any questions.

The folks at Tire Town are amazingly nice, extremely helpful, and generous!!I got stuck in a parking lot across the street from their shop, and came in (on a whim) asking about a tow; without missing a beat, they dropped what they were doing and assembled a team of strong guys to come help lift the car out of its predicament. I tell you what, I was in from out of town. About 3 hours out. With a very specific car, that required a very specific Tire. This place was the only place in or around me that can facilitate my one special tire that I needed, to get me in and get me back on the road within a half an hour. To give you a little bit of a background, I have worked in, and own mechanic shops my entire life. My career, what I do is to work with mechanic shops all across the country. And I tell you what, the shop here even though I was only there one time, facilitated everything I needed, with my specific Tire, in my time frame, to get me back on the road and back down to Baltimore with in no time. These guys are the real deal, Im very particular about where I take my car. But if for whatever reason I am back in this area, and I need anything, this is the place Im taking it too. Thank you all so much for getting me in, and getting me out with an amazing time frame.

Went here for a car inspection and oil change. The staff were friendly and helpful, not at all pushy, service was prompt, and there are many shops and things within walking distance for while you wait. Was given a very easy to understand readout of services rendered and what the car still needed. They affixed a small sticker on the windshield stating at what mileage to return for my next oil change (which I appreciate as someone who loses track of those sorts of things). I will definitely return to Tire Town for future inspections and oil changes.

This is the best auto repair shop Ive ever visited.The service is excellent. The customer service representatives are friendly. The prices are lower than comparable estimates at dealer service departments. You can even walk in and theyll start diagnosing the car immediately, whereas at dealers an appointment is usually necessary.

I have been going to Tire Town for the past few years now. Their service is absolutely stellar and, in all the times Ive had any tire issues, I dont think I had to wait more than an hour! This is because they have two teams, one that solely works on tire issues and another that handles all the other scheduled services (oil changes, etc). Large parking lot, easy to get to, free coffee & good tunes - this place feels more like an old neighborhood auto shop where you would know everyone by name. More important than all of this is I trust them with both the work and the prices. There isnt another place I would go for tire related issues, whether its a patch job or a new set of sneakers.

Went in today with the donut on my car and asked about used tires. The gentleman assisting me advised that I’d need 4 if I replaced it as to not cause alignment issues. He suggested I fix the tire instead. In and out in 15 minutes and the repair job was only 25 bucks! I appreciated not being coerced into buying something I didn’t need. Great service.

5 is the max rating but I would give this place a 10 if I could. Ernie Crock is about the most accommodating tire professional in North America. We were headed across the commonwealth to Ohio for a wedding when we got a flat the evening before the wedding that couldn’t be plugged. We decided to get a hotel room and called Tire Town at 7:30 on Saturday morning. Ernie assured us he would have us on the road in under an hour. We dropped the car off at 8 and it was done before 8:30 and for a modest price. We were on the road to our wedding by 9 with time to spare. Unfortunately it’s unlikely I’ll get a chance to give him my business again - but you definitely should.

I usually dont complain about things and I was just going to let this pass, but then thought I should mention it here so that other customers might have a better future experience. Ive purchased tires in the past from JR at Tire Town and brought vehicles in for work and have always had great customer service, until today. I called to schedule service for my vehicle and spoke with JR. During the conversation he was kind of rude and condescending, cutting me off while we were talking. The drop-off experience wasnt real pleasant either--curt and short, like I was a bother--customer service FAIL. So when you call or visit the shop, maybe ask to speak with someone else--the rest of the staff that I worked with was friendly and courteous. I was satisfied with the PA inspection work.

I had a tire emergency of sorts on a day that I had to leave to drive a few hundred miles. I needed to get on the road quickly. Tire town got me up and running in about an hour. I told them I was concerned about two of the tires (one definitely needed to be replaced). Had they told me to replace both, I would have not hesitated. They were honest and told me that one of the two was fine. The price was also significantly lower than the dealership for a perfectly fine tire.

Had a flat tire and without even calling ahead first they took me right in and installed a new tire in less than 20 minutes. Staff was extremely polite and helpful and the place was super clean and professional. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Quality Work and Honest People. I started to take my cars to Tire Town for inspections, tires, and mechanical work several years ago and have been very pleased. Another inspection shop I use to go to always seemed to find something wrong that would cost a few hundred dollars to fix and pass inspection. Tire Town does honest work. They follow inspection guidelines to the letter I am sure, but their mechanics dont lie or break things just to get more work. I have had them do repair work and I have purchased tires from them, and have had no problems. They do quality work for a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Was blown away by Tire Town’s customer service, speed of service, and quality of service. I had an emergency and needed my tire changed. They got me in ASAP. I needed an oil change too. They said no problem. I needed a light installed. They put it in as well. This place also kept me updated on time of repair and were just overall amazing.

2 of my tires had been leaking for a few months. I couldnt figure out why. The tread was good. I went to tire town and they figured out that the rims were corroded. They ground them down and so far everything is good. And much cheaper than new tires. 1 hour tops. Depending on what time you go. I got there before lunch. No appointment. Just roll in.

I went to lunch today and had a flat tire. I made it across the street to fill it with air then drove up the street to Tire Town. Terrible, terrible service. I paid 339 to get 2 new front tires and to have them balanced. The day after I was driving and heard a grinding sound and they checked it out and told me that it was my back bearings, even though I told them to look at the front of my car. I ended up paying for back bearings anyway which werent in bad shape and then I went back a 3rd time and was meant with utter impatience and disrespect . I was even told that I cant use their service againbecause I didnt understand how the problem wasnt easily diagnosed especially since it was right after I paid for FRONT tires etc... All in all they made me being disappointed about it my fault when clearly they shouldve checked the front for obvious reasons. So basically they just wanted to upsell me to do more service and pay more money, while Im driving dangerously... I wouldnt recommend them to ANYONE

This is the second time Ive used their services and both time I couldnt be happier. I will continue to utilize the State College location.

Always had a great experience here. They fixed an electrical problem after another local shop failed, and at half the price. Took my van here when it broke down and they realized that they wouldnt be able to do the job but pointed me to someone who could. Didnt charge me a cent. Most recently had a brake line fixed and it was done by mid-afternoon under quote. Always call before they do any work, and they are polite and happy to explain the problem.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires so after a little bit of internet research decided on Tire Town. I stopped by without an appointment at 7:45 Am and was out by 8:15. Their service was fast and friendly and their prices were fair- FIVE STARS!*FYI I overheard one of the service dudes say that they basically can be busy at any given time because of the high volumes of walk ins they get, but the most likely time to hit them up without a wait was between 9am-11am.

I needed to get my snow tires changed out on a Saturday on short notice. I called and they said if I could get there by 12:30, they could do it. I got there at 12:20, dropped it off quickly. They called me back at 1:10 and said it was ready. Even got one tire patched at no extra cost. Great experience overall and I will be back in the fall to get the snow tires put back on.

Got my car inspected, and not only did they have it completed in record time, but gave me a phone call half-way through to let me know how it was going! Now THAT is customer service! I know quite a few places who could learn a thing or two from them.

Scheduling an oil change and rotation was easy, able to get a same day appointment. Could have waited, took approximately 40 minutes to complete, recommend drop off or walk to Wegmans/Target for a little shopping if you wait.

People shouldnt go here they lie. The website said they do exhaust manifold jobs and call them and ask and they say we dont do them. Never go here and I wont recommend you to no one bad place.
