These guys are just great - extremely knowledgeable. Super professional and honest. Totally transparent about costs and time to complete. Friendly, proactive - exactly what you want in a store that is fixing something as important as your personal computer. So nice to have this type / level of service in town!!

Lae at MacRanch could not have been more knowledgable and helpful. He really helped out when I was in a bind with a computer having died and needing to get up and running with a new one immediately. The charge for his services was also completely reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone.

I decided to sell my desktop so I could buy a laptop to travel. I went to the Mac Ranch, told him what I had. We agreed upon a price. I sent him the specs to make sure he knew exactly what I said. When I went in to sell it to him, he decided he would change the price. Offered me $400 less than what we agreed upon. He had previously said my computer could sell for $2,000. It was very new, loaded and fast graphics. I was going to sell it to him for $1500.When I brought it in to sell it to him, he said my computer was entry level which was not true at all. I bought 2 TB Fusion Drive and great graphics on my 27 inch screen because I am a graphic designer. I knew exactly what I was selling. $1500 was a great price. I asked if I should wipe it before I came in and he said no. Then he told me he wanted extra to wipe the data..He knew I was trying to leave town so he decided he would screw me after we agreed upon a price.$500 + profit was not good enough for him.Wanted to give me $100 for an iPhone 6 plus 128 GB gold when they sell for at least $400 - $600.He acted offended when he dropped by backup and I grabbed it away from him. We were getting ready to wipe the drive. He didnt care at all that he dropped my backup. I knew I was at the wrong place then.This is not the same person that used to own the Mac Ranch in Steamboat. Same name. Very different person.Where I come from and all of Steamboat that I know, are honest people - not like that at all.

More than once i have taken my computer here for simple fixes and they have charged me for not fixing the problem. at one point made it worse. you would think if they cant fix it (even though thats the whole reason they exist) they wouldnt charge you. or maybe contact someone else in the mac industry that can.

I visit my family in Steamboat often and I usually try to work as little as possible. This makes it the perfect time to get my 2011 MacBook serviced. Jae at the Mac Ranch is very helpful and honest. Ive kept my MacBook up to date with a new display, 4 more gigs of Ram, an SSD hybrid drive giving me 1TB of space, new battery etc.... All done while visiting Steamboat on vacation. Its always been very easy and fast. My kid has a late model Mac but Im keeping my workhorse and its never been better :)

Frustrating experience! Jae is a nice guy and seemed to be knowledgable when I took my MacAIr in for a Comcast-related email glitch. After a quick 10 minute fix, the original issue was addressed but two more resulted from that fix which I noticed when I returned home. Went in for a second time to address those, which were addressed, but yet another issue from those fixed popped up after I got home. After the third visit I decided it best to head to the Apple Store Genius Bar in Denver on my next trip.

I understand that in remote towns things are more expensive, but $60 for an old beat up MacBook charger when a new one only costs $20-$30 is pretty ridiculous. My receipt only stated custom amount too, so who knows what they really charge..
