During a brutal heat wave, my A/C stopped working. Called Duncklee and they had a tech out within hours......during a very busy time, for sure! Issue wasnt that easy to find, but the tech realized that the electrical control board was not working. He got on the phone, got the part ordered from the factory, expedited the shipping, and two days later, came out to install the new board. He also did the PM check Id had scheduled for next month, which saved me another visit. Very pleased with the response and the communication from all the Duncklee staff. I purchased a peplacement heat pump and air handler from Duncklee. The instalation was very professional and completed in one day. Although the unit was delayed due to supply issues, they kept me informed about the procurement difficulties they were facing. All in all a very positive experience.

Duncklee installed Mitsubishi 6 mini-splits in my house this month. It was a large and complicated job. The men who did the work were terrific. They always arrived on time, were respectful, worked hard all day and were a pleasure to have around. It was hot as hell when they were doing the work. They wore masks and maintained distance from my family members at all times. Best of all they did a great job and in the midst of a terrible heat wave and a pandemic we are cool and happy.

We have a Mitsubishi split system and after issues with the original installing company I gave up and called Duncklee. It turns out the other company is not Mitsubishi diamond certified. Duncklee is and after their work I can see the difference.They responded quickly to emails to get a rough idea of the system before they made the on site visit. The technician was on time and quickly discovered the problem, the compressor lines were leaking. He came to show me, I have no idea how the other company missed it. He put some coolant back in as a temporary fix and had to come back for a full afternoon a week later.After he fixed the leak he flushed the system to get any water out. He then inspected the rest of the system. He fixed the large unit after some disassembly and now it works great. Its been 2 weeks, no sign of anything leaking and everything is working like new.

We started using Duncklee a couple of years ago for the ongoing maintenance of our air conditioners (we have two units). They were recommended by our former AC contractor who got out of the residential business.When our AC was not working last week, I called on Wednesday and was pleasantly surprised that Duncklee had availability on Friday.With COVID-19, I was a bit apprehensive because we havent had anyone in the house but us since February. There was no need. The technician showed up on time wearing a mask; I offered gloves (to protect him).He quickly found the problem of a worn-out part in the compressor and replaced it. I felt the cost was very reasonable.We are grateful because my husband works out in the heat and humidity and he appreciates coming home to a comfortable environment. I highly recommend Duncklee.

I did not realize that this company charges you a $45.00 trip fee in addition to your other charges/cost. The service technician was knowledgeable. He said I needed to replace a belt otherwise my central air conditioner was in good condition.He did not have the belt in his truck. It would cost me an additional $195.00 plus the cost of the belt for him to come back to replace the belt. To replace the belt takes approximately 15 minutes. Highway robbery. Would not use this company again.

Very professional. I called and had some questions, they came out to my site and walked me through the entire process. The Mitsubishi Ductless units are the best things since sliced bread. I highly recommend using Dunklee Heating and Cooling.

Very disappointed in this company who knew last fall, on a service call out, that I might need a new motor should the system fail. On my return from Florida a couple of weeks ago they said the issue was the thermostat ( no mention of the motor). They fitted a new thermostat got the aircon to work for 48 hours and charged me in excess of $700. I called them out a few days later as the aircon had stopped and on that visit they said it was the motor. My point is that they knew it might be the motor in the fall, diagnosed something completely different on my return then the owner told me that I should have mentioned the motor to the technician even although they had noted it themselves in the fall. I’m not the expert! The second visit cost me in excess of $300 and I still had no aircon! I was, amazingly enough, prepared to order a new motor from them and have them install it but had hoped there might be some compromise on the two bills totalling more than $1000. The owner was totally inflexible. My conclusion is that this is a company more about taking money without providing a satisfactory service in any form. Costings are $45 for call out then $150 per hour. Which really means first hour is $195. I have had no value for the money I have paid and the owner told me “He had done nothing wrong”. The one star I have given is for the technicians who were polite.

We had the Mitsubishi Mini-Split Hyper-Heat system installed by Duncklee about three weeks ago; they installed one outside compressor and three inside air-handlers --- one on each floor of our condo. The system is incredible and the installation was first class... timely, professional and excellent attention to detail. A great company with great crews.

Everything went well today. Much better than I expected. I was very impressed with the service provided by Jason and Kyle the installers from Duncklee.. The install was completed today around 2:30 and they tested the system to make sure it was wired correctly. They did a great job of answering my questions, and did an excellent job of cleaning up. Duncklee installed a new propane boiler for me. They did a great job. Easy to work with, prompt, good price, quality installation - they made sure it was done right. They helped me get a .99% interest loan (funded by the CT Green Bank because it is energy efficient), so it was painless to pay for. Very happy with the whole experience. Looking forward to my lower heating bills now that I have a super efficient propane boiler!

Techs were so very capable, even while training a new guy. I had very specific time constraints and they were able to accommodate me. Still have the electric to do. And not hot enough yet to really try out the unit.

We are restoring a 1796 old house. We were looking for the alternate heating and cooling system addition to the existing hydronic radiators. We were thinking of not having traditional central air system because of the ducts could take up too much space. We were exploring the ideas had ductless system. We had several vendors come to give us advices and proposals. Johnathan from Duncklee stood out as professional and very patient listening to our concerns. He asked to our emails even though he was vacationing in Caribbean Island. We eventually hired him since their price is reasonable, not the lowest or the highest bid that we received.We are glad we did. Their technicians are polite and did quality works. They just spent a week here installing (2) outdoor units and (5) indoor units. Jim was nice and very professional. He spent two hours just to go hours to walk through the spaces to make sure we were fine with the location of the indoor units so that they could be easily connected to the outdoor units and most importantly less visible in the interior space. He was also very meticulous about the level and center of the indoor units. When they left, the jobsite was spotless and everything looks great!! While they were here, we also hired their services for the existing radiators and they also trouble shot the issue of existing boiler.We highly recommend Duncklee. You wont disappointed!!

We recently contracted Duncklee to install a 42k btu Mitsubishi 5 zone ductless system with hyper-heat and Kumo cloud. After operating and living with the new system for several weeks, we are beyond happy with it. I was concerned about possible dead spots throughout the house, but theres just a warm blanket of heat wherever you go now. The units are whisper quiet and incredibly efficient. You wont even notice theyre on.Paige walked us through the project from start to finish. The installers Walter and Jim were total professionals. They even finished ahead of schedule, which is unheard of these days. If youre going to install a system like this, you need real pros installing and servicing it. It was a difficult and challenging installation because the house is post and beam. Duncklee Inc responded very quickly to my request to support my construction schedule which I think would have likely been negative affected if I had chosen someone else.

VERY expensive! Back in the early September, 2018 timeframe, I contacted Duncklee to come out and repair/replace the second floor zone damper in my forced hot-air heating system. I had to give them my credit card number over the phone before they would even make the appointment!When the technician arrived, I pointed out the location of the second floor supply duct and the damper. Im not sure why but it took him two hours to remove and confirm that the second floor damper was not working (blades were hanging up). He did not have one in stock so he had to order one.Nine days later he returned and installed the new part. The installation appears to be neat and professional. In addition to the parts and labor charges, Duncklee charges $45 for each visit. Total charge for replacing the zone damper, which is a common part and a common point of failure: $842.93. You be the judge.
