If I could give this less than one star, I would. Our car lost power steering and all our gauges were going haywire after coming off the Mansfield toll road. We are from out of town-- 9 hours away to be exact. We pulled into this place just wanting to get some help. The guy at the desk was nice but the mechanic that came out to check out alternator was not. All he said to my husband was start it up...yeah its your alternator OK, great, now we know--is there ANYTHING you can do to help us out since we are due to leave early Monday morning? This was around 1pm on a Friday. I get that its almost the weekend, but his exact response after laughing at us was Nope. not til Monday. go down the road as he slammed our hood and walked back inside. Were not locals we had no idea what down the road meant so we had to google and ended up finding Willies Village auto who was AMAZING and even drove all the way to Burlington to pick us up an alternator that night, came in on SUNDAY(his day off, mind you) to install it for us and didnt charge us an arm and a leg. Also, had us come back before we left town Monday to check it out for us to make sure we were good to go and wouldnt have any problems getting back to Maryland. This place needs a serious lesson on manners and customer service-- as I can see with the very low google rating, Im not the first customer that has had a bad experience with them. Tourists-- if you find yourself with car troubles while in Stowe-- Stay FAR away from this place and go to Willies just down the street.

I didn’t feel the need to post this when it happened, but after waiting over two and a half hours for an oil change (for which I had an appointment well in advance), I am going to post my horror story. Several years ago, I called Madadashcar to tow my car after it slid off of the road coming down the backside of Trapp’s family lodge. I explained to the tow truck driver that the road was pure black ice, and I had been unable to slow or steer my car at all as it went off the road. The tow truck driver very adamantly assured me that he “had a Ford, we would be fine”, but when we came to my car, the same thing happened, and the tow truck driver informed me that we would be crashing into my car. After we hit my car, (knocking off the rear bumper and ultimately killing my car) the tow truck spun out of control, forcing us to physically jump and roll out of the moving tow truck. The tow truck driver then had me sit in his driver’s seat, while we slowly winched his truck all the way to the bottom of the hill. Several hours later, we made it to the bottom, and he informed me that not only would they be unable to tow my car, but that I owed him $120. I was shocked, but being in high school at the time, I was not aware I was legally allowed to refuse to pay for incomplete services rendered. After the police had my car towed to another garage, I returned to Madadashcar to have them fix my car. I got my money back from towing from them, and they fixed my car for no extra charge. However, their “fix” involved using a wire coat hanger to reattach the bumper, would not ever recommend this shop to anyone, even if they were my worst enemy. Wish I could give negative stars.

I simply asked them to do three things, check and top off fluids, reset the tire pressure sensors and just tighten my windshield wiper. An hour later the technician said $75 for the work, I checked the fluids it was not filled, he didnt know what to do with the sensors but he did tighten my wiper while cracking my windshield. Got a hold of the owner same day and told her everything, even emailed her the pictures. It took her a week and a half of dodging me, to finally say that it never showed in their camera that it happened there. All I asked was to make it right and the only evidence I had was the truth but sadly that was not enough.

The guys did a great work on my Ford Ranger. Fair prices. Replaced break lines, drums, pads, and some suspension pieces last year. Still no problems. Recently replaced radiator. Great work!I like to go local...

Call get a quote, tell them synthetic oil, they tell me $60 for everything. Fill out the sheet write synthetic, tell the guy specifically which one 5w20. When I pick up the car they said it was going to be a little more. They changed me 85 said oops we forgot to tell you synthetic was more expensive. Even when I told them multiple times synthetic never bothered to tell me it would be significantly more expensive. GO ELSEWHERE!

Very helpful shop, A+. We called in just before closing time with a European car with a slashed tire and no spare. Madadashcar quickly offered several solutions including possibly sourcing an exact replacement by the next day. We opted for a closely matching tire and were on our way less than 20 minutes later. Bonus points for not charging us through the roof.

I inquired about an auto detailing over the phone and was told that the express detailing would include everything but shampooing. My car is only eight months old and only needed what I would expect on a detailing: outside washed and waxed; inside wiped down; interior windows, upholstery, cleaned, etc. What I got? A vacuum job and my windows washed. The rubber floor mats werent even cleaned. Worse $$ Ive ever spent. Will not return.

Professional and honest. We were on vacation and needed a last minute repair prior to departure. They worked us into the schedule and made a prompt repair. The price was fair with no effort to add extra expenses. As an out of towner it was nice to be treated this way.

Outstanding, helpful and reasonably priced service. Had a couple of worrisome mechanical issues on a long weekend trip to Stowe. On a very busy Friday when they were fully booked, the operators of Madadashcar took on this time-consuming job. Tom, an owner and mechanic, worked past normal hours Friday and into the afternoon on Saturday (when hed normally be off) to complete the work. The price was about 30% below the worst case estimate Id been given. Service was friendly and meticulous, taking time to explain clearly what needed doing. Cant beat that.

This place has gone through several different operators. I would strongly advise not dealing with them. There business is largely based on tourist traffic in emergency situations who have no choices. They have trouble keeping staff, etc. Very sketchy, consistently disappointing place.

2 1/2 hours for an oil change, even though we had the appointment set for almost a week. There was nobody at the customer service desk when we arrived or anyone at the shop. The customer in front of us had to physically go in the back and look for a mechanic, even after numerous times of ringing the bell. When we called the shop after 2 hours to ask when our car would be done, the lady was very rude. Would not recommend to anybody.

Badly done repair work and a non-responsive owner.I had my vehicles alternator replaced at Madadashcar. 10 days later the alternator belt split along the middle and the some minor damage was caused to other components as the belt flapped around. The belt did not look worn, but like it had not been aligned correctly. I had the car towed to Madadashcar to give them a chance to make it right. The mechanic swore the belt had been correctly installed, that there had been no signs of it looking ready to fail when he put the belt back on the car, and that the timing of the failure was coincidental. He did offer to do the labor for free if we purchased the parts - which now included a tensioner, even though he had not looked at that part when we returned. We were skeptical and did not want to give this business more money or have the same mechanic do any more work on the vehicle, so we had it towed to the dealer and the repairs done there. And thank goodness! It turns out the belt had been installed incorrectly, it was shifted over 2 grooves on one of the pulleys you could not see from the top. In addition, the adjustment head on the tensioner was snapped off. Since you can not correctly put on an alternator belt without releasing the tension, the dealers service managers working theory was that the original mechanic had snapped off the head accidentally and did not want to tell us, so being unable to release the tension they had just pulled the belt on the best they could, which was not all the way. We returned to Madadashcar with the broken part and the repair receipts. The owner, Kara, said she was told that the tensioner was broken when the car came in and the mechanic has chosen not to tell us about it to save us money. So either, the mechanic broke a part on our car and lied, or didnt know how to put on a belt correctly and neglected to inform a customer of a broken component on their car. She apologized, empathized with our frustration, and said to give her 2 days to determine what shed do to handle it. 2 days came and went with no response. I stopped in to see her, she wasnt there and I left a message to have her call me. Again, no response. A few days later, I made one more try to stop in. The woman at the desk told me that she would not be calling me back. That the owner had decided to ignore me. So at this point I have spent $760 in towing and repair costs to fix the mistake made when they made the original $500 repair. I would like to be able to support a local business, particularly one owned by a veteran, but this experience has been extremely frustrating and expensive.

If you are looking for a dirty garage that will do the bare minimum this might be the place for you. I brought my truck in because of dangerously low oil pressure and they changed the oil, charged me $80 and parked it outside. If you tell them the problem was not fixed, they would be happy to look at it again and take more of your money.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SCAM ARTIST! I brought my car in for a light that was not working paid $80.00 they said it was fixed. Found out after getting pulled over on my way home it was NOT fixed. I called them to tell them it was not fixed they said bring it in. They said yeah yeah we see the problem now its a frayed wire (why didnt you see it when you were in there fixing it the first time) Drop it off to be properly fixed and they have the audacity to charge me labor to fix something they did not fix in the first place.
