We purchased all new ceiling fans for our house, new outdoor lighting and two floor lamps. There is a nice selection of new styles and designs. It was a pleasure to work with Tess on new fans and lighting for our home.

We placed two separate large orders (5 ceiling fans) with this company over the past few months. While the delivery of both orders was delayed, it was fully the manufacturer’s issue. Capitol Lighting (aka 1800Lighting) was terrific to deal with each time I reached out for an update on the status of our orders, and they provided expedited shipping on both orders given the delays. Thank you for the excellent service. We will definitely do business with this online retailer again.

Sadly- I did not have a good experience in this store. I am building a new home and will need a whole lot of lighting! I walked in and there were a total of 4 people at desks ( one was the manager). One women was busy on the phone the other three were at their desks. At one point I watched the one salesman who on his phone watching a video. I walked the whole store taking pictures of lights I liked. Not ONCE did any of these people get up and come over and ask if I had any questions or needed any help. I was not offered a brochure- asked what kind of lighting I was needing, etc. Basically I was ignored. I was the ONLY customer in the store! As a local business owner, I find this surprising. All I can say is business must be good. I see good reviews but I did not have a positive experience. I will take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic customer service. Our sales person Susan Parrott went above and beyond. She not only caught the fact that I was ordering the wrong type of fixture for over a table but offered a great suggestion that I liked much better than the one I chose. She then even offered to tally and order all of the light bulbs I needed as there were quite a few. I emailed her to thank her and I received a wonderful email from the manager in response. Great team with many wonderful choices in lighting. I highly recommend! And ask for Susan!

I am a Trade Pro customer and am not happy with the way this company handles issues. I purchased 2 lamps over $600 I was sent the wrong color. I called customer service over 5 times and the issue took 3 weeks to resolve. I called today and I was told I would be sent 2 Fed Ex return labels and credited back money paid within 24 hrs. Ill update and see if this happens.

It is very important for a store to have competent, reliable, intelligent employees. Capital Lighting is very fortunate to have Christian Wegener on their staff. We met him in the Stuart store. He listened carefully to what we wanted, gave us his card and cell number and continued to communicate with us throughout our lighting journey. Kudos to Capital Lighting for employing such a dedicated professional.

We had a great experience buying light fixtures for our new home at Capitol Lighting in Stuart! Everyone working there was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our lighting professional, Tess, was patient and spent a lot of time helping us choose the best fixtures for our house. I stopped by your store in Stuart because I broke my floor lamp that the VA gave me because I am blind in 1 eye. Without it I am not able to see to read. I tried to call the company that the lamp came from and they told me that I was out of luck. I came in and a nice lady asked Todd if he could fix my lamp. He looked at it and told me he wasnt sure he could fix it but he would try. I received a call a little later that afternoon, saying my lamp was fixed. This was the first time in 6 months I have been out of my house and Todd and Capitol Lighting made it worth the trip. When I offered to pay, he said not to worry about it and thanked my for my service. This man should be commended, he exemplifies what retail used to be.

Great place for lighting, they have everything and then some

We live in Michigan but often purchase light fixtures and ceiling fans at Capital Lighting when we visit relatives in Stuart.On February 17, 2021 my wife and I stopped in to pick up a rheostat switch. Christian Wegener met us at the door and asked if he could help us.Christian could not have been more helpful in fulfilling our small, immediate need and we had a chance to talk about other, future needs.In the course of our conversation we learned that Christian had served in the Marine Corps in both Iraq and Afghanistan on multiple tours of duty.A very small medal on his lapel identified him as having earning the Purple as a result of being wounded in Combat. In fact he had received three purple hearts as well as citations for Gallantry on the battlefield.It is our intention to exclusively work with Christian on out electrical fixture needs,However, the management and owners of Capital Lighting should be recognized for welcoming Veterans as they return to civilian life with the opportunity to work in an environment that suits them.Those are some of the reasons that we are very loyal to Capital Lighting, in general and Christian Wegener in particular. Both the store and the individual have a focus on providing on their customers with a wide variety of high quality products at reasonable prices.

Kelly was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely refer my friends to come here and ask for Kelly. We came in just to look at a ceiling fan and ended up purchasing the fan, entry way pendant, kitchen island pendants, and a dining room chandelier. The price was right and the selection made it easy- with Kelly’s help to know the right sizes and other things to consider, which we wouldn’t have without her help.

Good suggestions for space,

We needed a replacement lamp for our house entrance and did not like anything at the big box stores. Capitol Lighting was able to hook us up with just what we wanted for a good price. Esp good service by Todd.

We are doing a whole house renovation, installing new light fixtures and ceiling fans. We called Capital Lighting to place our order, and are so glad we did. We had previously selected some ceiling fans that we found out from Kelly were a bit small for their spaces. Kelly was great, giving us information on ceiling fan sizes, DC versus AC motors, and manufacturers to consider. Not only did we purchase the proper size fans but we saved money ordering them from Capital Lighting. Kelly was very professional, personable, and fun to work with. I would recommend Kelly and Capital Lighting for all your lighting needs!

Susan is the best! It’s not often you need to buy lighting, but I walked in the door and she smiled and greeted me by name, having remembered me. Now that is amazing customer service. She helped me find the right fixture, and it was even on sale!

I have worked with many store managers in my years of being a consumer, but no one has ever given me the time,courtesy, and professionalism like Chris Price at Capitol Lighting. Chris made sure that the company stood behind their warranty and actually honored it. If I were looking to buy lighting from any store ( and I know it is easy to buy online) I would continually choose Capitol Lighting for this reason. Too many businesses today don’t take the time to “hear “ their customers. Chris heard me and delivered above and beyond my expectations.

When we renovated our home in Jensen we went to Capitol Lighting for all of our lighting needs. Susan Parrott provided us with excellent service and our lighting was perfect. Since then we sold our home and moved to Middleburg, Fl to build our new home. I sent Susan our floor plans and she designed a plan for all of our needs. She used room sizes and ceiling height to make sure that each room was perfect. We chose our fixtures with Susan’s input and advice and she had everything shipped to our new home. As of today all lighting and fans are in and once again it is a fabulous job. Thank you Capitol Lighting, and especially Susan, for all of your knowledge and hard work.

My neighbor asked for my help in fixing a light she had purchased from Capital Lighting. The plastic washer holding her light in place had broken. So I went to Capital Lighting in hopes of finding the replacement washer. They not only found the replacement washer but they also gave me a backup! They truly are exemplary in customer service! Todd Ericson (6 Stars) helped us replace the decades-old fluorescent cove lighting in our kitchen with some amazing LED panel lights. Too cool!!! Our first visit gave us more to think about. Without setting a followup appointment, Todd found the absolute neatest light panels that fit all four of our cabinet coves. When we went back in, he showed us his solution and it worked perfectly!

Great sales knowledge, we have looked for a year to find a dining light and Capitol Lighting was able to accommodate us.

I do not normally do reviews but this is an exception. My wife and I are building a new house and decided that we would supply all fans and lighting. After accidentally ordering a few fixtures online I realized that this was not the way to go. We shopped around where the builder sent us but was either too expensive or we just got frustrated not finding the right style fixtures. After a bite at a deli we noticed a lighting store in the same plaza and just walked in to take a peek and let me tell you It was our lucky day! Kelly at Capitol Lighting sat us right down after looking at a few fixtures that caught our eye and after a bit we started to relax for a change....lolKelly was so knowledgeable that once we described what we were looking to accomplish we ended up with the best possible combination of lighting and fans we could ever ask for! My hat is off to Kelly putting in extra time and helping us with the design as well as the superb technical knowledge. By the way she saved us $ we did not expect..
