Amazing cheese here! Their cherry pie was also available for sale and did not disappoint. It was incredible and fresh despite being sold off the shelf for either $9.99 for a small or $19.99 for a large. Of course you cannot forget your cheeses! They do offer free samples still and their 5 year aged cheddar is fantastic and sharp. They also have pepper jack and cheese curds available. The cheese curds were very squeaky so if you dont enjoy squeaky cheese, it may not be for you. But I highly recommend spending $10 on a small assortment box of cheeses, cherries, and nuts. It makes for a great gift!Overall service was friendly and you can find free samples if different oils for bread dipping as well as vinaigrettes. You can also buy ice cream and sausages to pair it if you wish.Renards is also great for purchasing small souvenirs such as Door County magnets and key chains.

Large selection of cheese and tons of other stuff. This shop has everything from postcards, kids books, keychains, sodas, wine, fudge, pizzas, meat products, jams, vinegar, oils, and of course, cheese! Its a third generation family-owned business with plenty of parking and even a small playground for the kids. Several picnic tables with umbrellas are available if you want to eat your purchase on site. Employees are really friendly and the restroom were ultra clean. Only the prices gave me pause. I guess I might just be a cheapskate, but I thought it was a bit overpriced.

Fabulous cheese and gourmet food store in Door County! ordered a batch of fried cheese curds and they were so tasty! I should have definitely ordered some of their sweet treats to go!

Ive been buying their cheese for years and it has always been great. This is the first time I bought food from here and its fantastic! We had the tuna melt and the Monte Cristo. Both were very flavorful.Love that they have an outdoor playground and eating area. Dogs are welcome too so its a great place to stop before heading up to the point or on the way back. This will definitely be one of the must go back to places when Im in Door County.

Made a quick stop on my way home from a fishing trip. Store was nice and clean, lots of cheese options, so much so that I was confused on what to purchase.I was eventually greeted by a woman named Sheila that was very helpful and offered some samples, of which I bought most of. Would highly recommend the 7 yr sharp cheddar. Only bummer is they were sold out of cheese curds 🤦🏼‍♂️

Weve been visiting Door County every year for five years. Renards is our first stop in and last stop out. (plus visits in between for lunch) The cheeses are excellent and so fresh. Your homemade spicy pimento spread and smoked mozzarella string cheese are our favorites. However, we were so sad and disappointed that our favorite sandwich was off the menu in your wonderful deli. Your Famous Signature Grilled Cheese. You have a new menu and its very good, but your Signature Grilled Cheese was a staple for us and many others we know. We also loved your Veggie Wrap. I am still giving 5 stars because you guys deserve it. You also have a terrific staff! We are, however, holding out hope for our favorite Grilled Cheese Sandwich return!

If youre tourists like we were make sure you get to Renards before you head home. They have a great variety of cheeses, but also other products made in Door County,WI. We picked up some sparkling cherry wine, cheese, cherry salsa, and some cherry pie filling. This Thanksgiving well remember our great visit to Door County as we eat our cherry pie. The staff were super helpful and took great care in packaging our purchases. They also do mail order. Just go!

The establishment is nice. Clean, spacious, well maintained, etc. Service is fast and friendly. I am kinda torn between giving this a 3, 4, or 5 star. The food was good but not knock your socks off, mind-blowing good. However, the prices they charged was just for that kind of food. If you were in a five-star establishment you would expect to pay that kind of price. BUT, and this is a big BUT, you are in Door County so maybe expect to pay a little more??????? We spent 2 days in Door County eating both fast food and more high end food. Cant say that the prices seemed too steep in either case.Another factor is the range of cheeses they had. That ultimately is the big draw. We went there primarily because my daughter wanted some good old fried Wisconsin cheese curds. I guess you can compare this to visiting a museum in say Chicago and go to the cafe and pay exorbitant prices. Nobody wants to pay for museum cafe food. So the cheese is the draw in this scenario?

After going to Door County for many years finally stopped at Renards. Sorry I waited this long! Lots of excellent cheeses, wines, beer, snacks, Meats. So good!

This place was amazing! Nice location and easily accessible with plenty of parking. I was immediately greeted by an herbaceous aroma upon entering the store. A wide selection of items were available, it was hard to not buy some of everything! The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

1st time here. & There is going to be serveral times more to come. Loved this place to many good things to buy. Cant hardly wait for my check to go back here to buy a lot of stuff I saw here. I didnt have enough money this time. Excellent place for Christmas gifts also.

Very clean. Bathrooms were very clean. Perfect place to stop on your way out of door county as they have snacks that are packaged perfectly for the car. Samples of cheese are great. Been Going to Renards for more years than I can remember. Have always had a great product- Only one issue, the new cheese curd bags are no good. Please consider going back to original. Your product is great, no need to fru-fru up a bag of curds.

It is tradition to make a stop here to buy even honey mustard from home. The 🧀 is fresh but it is expensive. They have the best ice cream 🍨 in the area. Chocolate oreo cookies dont even buy them are horrible. To be tourist the area must be more impressive the place, this is not!

We loved shopping in your store and bought several types of wine and cheese including the cheese curds which were amazing! But, then we ordered items from the Melt. My husband had the honey truffle melt which was also amazing with tons of cheese! I had the blueberry lavender lemonade also amazing but, I was so very disappointed in Mom’s Mac and cheese. It was so dry with hardly any cheese. After only a few bites it went into the trash. Mac and cheese is one of my favorite dishes and since ya all make cheese I had expected it might be almost too cheesy but unfortunately it was clearly the opposite. A waste of 12 dollars. The only other problem was that I wish there were more bakery type crackers available for the cheeses I bought.

Although I have never been to the store itself, I am am able to buy the smoked string cheese at my local Woodman’s grocery. This cheese is by far the BEST smoked string cheese I have ever had. The smoky flavor permeates throughout the cheese not just on surface. Well done Renard’s!

Very friendly staff and awesome string cheese. I also tried the chipotle cheese and it was also great. The deep fried cheese curds were good too. The outdoor playground was great for our little one to run around and take a little break from the car ride.

Wonderful cheese curds with date-of-manufacture the same date as in-store purchase. A very quick in-and-out stop on our way back home after a week in door county. I am a born and raised Wisconsinite and have never had cheese curds with this much squeak! So satisfying

We stopped for lunch and the sandwiches we had were very delicious. We probably would have spent more money if we had felt safe there to browse. Mask requirements were not enforced and there was no strong signage throughout the store encouraging mask wearing, so many customers did not wear them. In addition, some who were wearing masks when they came in, took them off to sample cheese and then were walking around the store. There was also no limit to the number of customers allowed in the small store. Employees did wear masks. We just ordered food, waited outside, got our food to go, then left.

Thi place had an amazing assortment of cheeses and a good assortment of door county spirits. We always make a point of stopping here when in the area.

I got the BLT (delicious) and the mac and cheese. Sample any of the cheeses and you have to try the smoked string cheese 😋.Friendly atmosphere and staff. If you want to try something not on the sample table they probably have some to sample in back. This is my new stop on the way back to MN.

Oh wow, I had no idea what to expect when we pulled off here. Its a great place to get anything Door County. Cheese, Cherries, Fudge, Truffles, you name it! They even serve hot food and Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream!Plus, you can grab frozen pizzas and frozen pre-breaded cheese curds made right there.

Some of the best cheeses I have had the pleasure of trying. They had samples for over a half dozen cheeses. I ended up getting cheese curds, mozzarella cheese whips and a bottle of door county mead. I wanted to get so much more, but it was supposed to be a quick stop on our trip and I wanted spend a lot more time checking everything out and picking more things to buy.

We were touring the area and Ive been to Renards in Sturgeon Bay a number of times. This time my roommate bought a Marbled, Wire Cheese cutter. We drove back home, she opened the box to discover that wire was cut and the knob was glued on wrong. The following day I called Renards to speak to someone about the issue and expressed that I didnt want to and wasnt planning on driving all the way back to Sturgeon Bay any time soon. They insisted theyd figure it out, and I just said that I would pay the shipping to get it there, if they could pay to send it back. The associate agreed that, that would be a great idea. The next day, I called to let them know that the cheese board would be arriving today and asked if they could send it out next day since I was going out of town, she expressed that should could try but couldnt promise anything; I understood. Low and behold, the new cheese board was delivered the next day. Thank you for taking care of us, we were customers for life before the incident, and theyve just sealed that for the remainder. Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers, and I see that in other reviews as well.

My family of 11 stopped while vacationing to door county.The place is very nice. We ended up buying some various cheese curds and strings that were all great! We also ate lunch from their deli/restaurant and had Moms Mac and cheese, the Italian melt, smoked chicken flat bread. The food was delicious! We ended up speaking to Julie who was very nice and answered our questions about the place and menu. Highly recommend.
