Great day on the course. Started at 3:40 and finished 18 at 7:15. It was in beautiful condition. Fairways and greens were well groomed. Definitely will be back.

Went for a golf tournament and enjoyed the course. Par 5s where fun!

Great experience! Course was outstanding. Greens were fast and true very receptive. The pictures on their website do not do it justice. So many times when going to a course for the first time, it doesnt live up to the pictures. This was better. If you golf in Door County, you must play this course.

I came Early season, in fact the first day open 2021. I was a walk in and they got me out right away. Very friendly staff. Nice carts. The course was wet being early but well maintained and the price was great. Would come again next time I am in the area.

This was absolutely the perfect place for my wife and I to play. The course is challenging and the surrounding area is beautiful.We loved the afternoon playing there.

Golf pro and owner Brandon Hansen is an EXCELLENT teacher. He is guiding my wife who is golfing for the first time and helping me with my swing. He is a true professional that is both insightful and patient. We highly recommend him - and his course - for both new and struggling golfers!

What a great course. My five daughters and my wife golfed on Saturday. The greens were perfect. The fairways are in pretty good early season condition. Always a challenging course. The thing I like most, is the course is secluded. You dont 100 houses on each hole. Afterward a bloody mary from Cecil was appreciated.

The course was cleanly groomed and well maintained despite the huge amount of rainfall the previous week. The staff was courteous and professional and the view from the clubhouse bar is amazing.

TOO MUCH HAZARDS! People that work there are nice. Be prepared to lose some balls.

Nice public course!! We were underwhelmed with the first 2-3 holes, but remainder of the front 9 were absolutely beautiful! The course was in excellent condition, and we really enjoyed the golf. It’s probably top-two in the area for public course, in my opinion. The pro shop left a little to be desired, but the staff was friendly and we overall enjoyed our time! We’ll be back!

This was an easy 5 star rating. My opinion this course was a diamond in the rough. The greens were immaculately cared for and the course was mowed really well. Course play was great and laid out well. Front 9 had some tighter fairways with back 9 still having challenges with water crossings. Looks like they do deals on mondays for 4some rates that are really good....only have leagues Tuesday evenings. This is definitely one of the better courses Ive played. Ill be back with some buddies for sure to play again.

Would have rated higher if it wasnt so wet. Could not play. Was even told to only play nine as back was even better. Wait for a drought to play!

In my opinion, Idlewild is the best public golf course in Door County, WI. I played this afternoon after records rain levels hit Wisconsin in the month of September and this course was fairly drive and extremely well maintained. The course is very creative and requires well placed tee shots to maximize the angle to the flag. The hazard areas are not unfair so if you loose a golf ball it’s because you made a bad shot. There is tremendous beauty on this course with great evergreens and birch trees that you’d expect to see in Northern WI. The bunkers have high quality sand and the green were tight, meaning they rolled true. I’m looking forward to playing this course again because course knowledge will improve my placement and club selection. The course is fair, upscale and amazingly affordable. Their fall rate was $21.10 for me to walk. I was expecting to pay $45 to walk this course and would have gladly paid it because the value is there. I hope you get to experience Idlewild!

Incredible golf course that I have been to multiple times. Quick to tee time, just make sure that you call ahead of time and schedule your tee time ahead of coming. Otherwise the course is very nice which is not too hard for the novice golfer like me. When it does rain a lot it can get a bit swampy, which is not too bad, but something to look out for. Great place for a beer and a good time with your buddies.

A decent course with great greens but very wet.

Fish fry Friday is delicious. Perch-Cod & Walleye are on the menu with coleslaw and fries. New Friday night dinner spot.

Awesome Friday Night Fish Fry!!! Great choices, sides, drinks, service, and conversation. Seating is a bit limited but with a lively bar - who cares??? Definitely add it to your list.

Top-notch golfing experience in the vacation capital of Wisconsin - Door County. Phil Riddle, the owner, is personable and a real professional who runs this beautiful golf facility and who was easily accessible during my first-ever round in late May 2013.I plan to invite at least a dozen friends from Green Bay for a weekend outing sometime in July.

Absolutely delicious fish fries one of the best Ive ever had in Door County or anywhere else I was simply amazed I had the pan fried perch with homemade coleslaw rye bread they put onion slices on an amazing potato pancakes!! well worth the trip to Hainsville. Sweet Cassidy bartending engaging . Great energy from the local crowd friendly!!!

First time visitor, the food was great, Cecile was super friendly and made a delicious Bloody Mary. Course was challenging enough and very well maintained.

Enjoyed the course but staff was horrible.To start went with a group of 20 guys and had tee times from 2:40 to 3:20. Not one group finished 18 holes..... my group got done with 14 and it was too dark. You would think they would know the speed of the course and not let people play 18 after a certain time. Second, we were suppose to recieve a meal that was part of the package. They ran out for 10 out of 20 guys. I called the club house to let them know what happen and he said he would radio the beer cart lady to come back right away. That was a lie because she drove past us 2 more times without our meals. We complained when we got back and offered to give us meals then but it was was to late for us and had to leave. When it cost$1600 ($80 x 20 guys) they should have this figured out.

Great course, great price, not crowded, friendly helpful staff

My in-laws live just up the road from the course during the summer. Whenever we come up to visit, I make sure to play a round or two. The course has a respectable layout that will challenge any level of golfer (Im a 8 handicap and long driver), placing you into thinking out two shots ahead on many of the holes. Hazards force layups and level the playing field.The shop staff is very cordial, and the owners daughter, who was running the shop my last visit was extremely helpful. I had broken my driver on the 10th tee and without hesitation she grabbed a demo Rocketballz for me to use for free!Without a doubt an experience that will keep me coming back for a long time!
