They always have friendly service and a lot to choose from for all our four-legged critters. They are always willing to help load the car with larger purchases. If they dont have what I need they offer a suitable replacement or offer to call when the item I need is available. I always shop local when I can and this is where I go.

Palmetto Farm Supply is great! Ive taken my dog there for several years to be groomed and have never been disappointed. Unfortunately we had a pretty negative experience with one of the new groomers today. Upon picking our dog up the first time she didnt look as though shed been groomed at all. The hair was left very uneven with patches of long hair throughout her coat. It almost looked like the clippers used were no good. We took her back up there for it to be fixed and though she looks better, I am not pleased. For the money we pay, I expect the same results Ive gotten in the past. I desire the quality results I know theyre capable of. I highly recommend Leanne, but cant vouch for any other groomers up there at this time.

The people are always nice, prices are very reasonable... theyll even carry your dog food out to the car for you !!! this place is awesome and has a nice small town vibe to it as well.

Dont even deserve one star! Took my dog to be groomed there at 11 appointment at 5:45 still completely done. Shaved half his body did not finish the rest of his head. Fun-loving dog who loves everybody will not come to any of us now!

Brent and crew are amazing! Everyone is polite, courteous, and helpful. Even though a new SouthernStates has opened in my hometown of Camden recently, I continue to find reasons to visit the Sumter store to buy my horse feed and chicken feed and hay chemicals. As Camden gets on their feet Im sure some of that will change, but Ill make it a point to drive the extra few miles to visit with Brent and his gang.

I can get bird seed cheaper at Tractor Supply and also a bigger bag. But they do carry a good line of Horse Feed.

I absolutely love this place most prices r cheaper then petco at the same high quality! Good service. Very educated staff on just about any topic.

Thank God for these people; the store is also known as Southern States. And what a gem this place is!!! I went here when Tractor Supply didnt have what I needed, heartworm prevention (ivermectin) that I could use for my pot belly pig and my two dogs. They have everything Tractor Supply has and more. I think it is just a racket and totally wrong that you cant get Heartgaurd for your dogs without paying a small fortune between the annual exam to get the prescription and the Heartgaurd itself; ivermectin is the active ingredient. My uncle told me he used the one made for swine and cattle in smaller quantities (its all based on weight anyway, and then use just a bit less than that) for his dogs for decades and then I had others tell me this too. I cannot afford the $300 it would have been to do it though the vet, but a can the $40 they charged me here. I didnt know about heartworms and my border collie got them, and had to be treated for $1000 (still paying off) but I was lucky my beagle-snoodle mix hadnt; heartworms are what kills many dogs. Carried by mosquitoes, if you live in the South, its a major occurrence.
