Doesn’t mind taking advantage of people. I got an oil change and my ac fixed here and was happy at first but now I’ve found out the bottom of my car is completely rusted and basically junk. Why didn’t any of the staff mention this when they did the oil change? So basically I got it fixed for nothing and wasted my time and money. Never going back

Very honest Mechanics working here. My engine light came on and instead of trying to cost me $ on repairs it didnt need they told me up front it was just the gas cap they fixed it in just a few minutes cleared the code and didnt charge me! Great place to go for ur car.

DONT GO TO SUN DEVIL ANY LONGER!! We have been going there for about 3 years. My wifes car requires Dexos oil and cost has been $41.00 dollars. My car requires semi-synthethic and cost about $30.00. My wife brought her car in last week. When it was ready she was handed a bill for $75.00!! They told her sorry but prices have gone up. Then when she started to write a check, they told her that they dont take checks any more. So she paid cash. When she she got home and showed me the bill, they charged her for full synthetic oil and not Dexos. Now theyre still advertising their $28 oil change. If prices went up, or if youre using more expensive oil, it should have been disclosed before they put it in someones car. We wont be back or recommend them any longer. 🙃

Since my wife & I moved here, 5 years ago, we’ve both been going to Sun Devil for our oil changes as well as having some work done on both of our cars. Anyway, my wife is the one who had an oil change most recently and she, as usual after one at Sun Devil, was pleased with the service, etc. They’re friendly people - the ones who work there. They are knowledgeable about what they are doing, i.e., they can steer you towards a certain part or let you know if something needs fixing or at least attention and you can be sure that they are not out to rip you off- they do do an “x”-point inspection when they do oil changes. Usually there’s nothing else except for whatever it was you went in for, but if they see that any brakes need attention or maybe something else, needing work ASAP.So, yes, they’re a great, locally run service station; but the staff is also very friendly and helpful- they go over, for you, what it is they need to do or something you want done, so before they start on your car, they take the time to let you know what it is they’re going to do with your auto. Both my wife and I have been lucky in that we both have Hondas, though different models and the whole time we’ve had them, never had a breakdown on the road or any unexpected problems-and, too, we both keep our autos well-maintained by regular oil changes, flushing fluids when they need it, and so on.Thank you, Sun Devil Auto, for being a big part in keeping both my Civic & my wife’s CR-V running smoothly! We both love it there and the great service and work are 2 major reasons we keep coming back!!!

What a joke this place wont use factory, dealership parts. I guess once you buy them they cant rip you off by trippling the price of your parts. Ive spent thousands of dollars in this place, I CANT RECOMMEND DOING ANY BUSINESS HERE. Save your money go anywhere else.

I went today for an oil change. The parking lot was completely full with some cars double parked so I figured it was gonna be a wait. Nope! They still had my car done in a half hour!Fantastic prices, great customer service. I love their no pressure approach to additional maintenance needs. I live a half hour away in Buckeye but will gladly travel that distance again to visit Sun Devil Auto.

This was my first visit to Sun Devil Auto after several referrals. I was pleased with the service and the friendliness of everyone. The shuttle service by Norman was a plus. I felt I was charged a fair price for work done and will definitely be a return customer.

This place is horrible, my Grandma has been relying on them for a year or so and all they do is take advantage of her unfamiliarity with the auto world by replacing unnecessary things, and over charging for the parts. The most recent experience is the most infuriating; they charged her $400 and $300 just for the front and rear O2 sensor parts, (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CHARGE OF LABOR); this is an outrageous overcharge given that the OEM 2006 Honda CR-V Lx 2WD O2 sensors are casually priced from $110-$159. They also replaced her catalytic converter which first of all was unnecessary; second of all they charged $2150 JUST FOR THE PART, which is $792 more than it would be even at the dealership in which the OEM part ranges from about $1356-1358. Just do not go here, all they want to do is get their greedy hands on your money by overcharging for parts and fixing the unnecessary.

My husband recently took his 97 Corvette to several transmission shops for estimates we ended up choosing Sun Devil Auto. from the first phone call to picking up the car Chris was very friendly he kept us updated as a car was being fixed we got the car back when promised, he gave us a great deal, the price was what he said it would be and he waved the $450 diagnostic fee !!! Great experience!!!

Terrible business. Called and spoke with two different individuals Rene and one other person to get an oil change. Both quotes were under 60.00 dollars out the door. Set up appointment . After arriving and meeting with the service person they then stated the cost would be 80 to 100 dollars. They would not honor the quoted price by either of these individuals I spoke with. Would not recommend this shop to anyone!

What a great place!! I usually dont get too excited over an auto mechanic repair shop but I gotta tell ya these guys are great! I am one of the most cautious and leery people when it comes to auto repair but I knew from the time I made the call to Sun Devil that they were trustworthy. From the manager George to the mechanic crew...they are all great! After they repaired the entire rear brake system of my 4x4 truck I was convinced. From the phone call to completion they were very thorough explaining every detail of the repair. The price was very fair and the work was done in a timely manner. I even had to use the shuttle service they provide. And being a gal I didnt get the usual you are just a dumb girl treatment that I usually receive at an auto repair shop. I was treated with respect and dignity which I really appreciated.I have been back a few times with small and large repairs.I really cant say enough good things about the staff and the business as a whole in the space they provide for these ratings, but trust me when I say you will not be sorry you took your vehicle there for repair. They have made a lifetime returning customer of me!!

Ive been very satisfied with Sun Devil. Women are an easy target for auto mechanics to take advantage of, and Ive experienced this in the past. However, I have been using Sun Devil Auto for a few years, and I have never felt that they have sold me a service that was not necessary or that they over charged me for. My car is running well and I have confidence that it is safe and that it will continue serving me for many more years.

If you have a car with some miles on it they want to replace all the parts so its like a brand new car off the showroom floor. So they just wont work on it and say theyll be wasting your money. So I guess if you got lots of cash its all good.

Called for an appointment to have the oil changed and tires rotated on our 2016 Edge. They said I could bring it over today. The desk guy said it would be about an hour and half, which was fine. I walked to a place for lunch. I came back about 40 mines later and the car was still sitting where I had parked it, so I thought it had it was still in the que. One of the guys at the desk as if they could help me. Told them I was there for the Ford Edge. Since they did not say anything, I thought they had not even started on it. Sat in the waiting room for another 20 mins and car still had not moved. This was closing in on over an hour by now. Then one of the counter guys asked for the name. I told him and then he says the car is ready. It had been ready for over 1/2 hour. They obviously got right too it. Then he mentioned they had not rotated the tires because there was a nail in the right front. Kudos for the tech on that one. Only reason I did not rate them a 5 was because they did not even check to see if the car was complete when I got back from lunch. There was another couple waiting as I was. Basically, it was the same situation, only their vehicle had been pulled up outside the entrance. Sat there for about 15mins and when they walked up to the counter they told the desk that appeared their car was done. Guess lunch was more important to the staff.

Great customer service. I got my oil changed for a decent price and they didnt try hassling me into getting a bunch of things fixed. I will be returning in the future because of this positive experience.

I have had them do oil changes on both of my cars and they did a good job. Most garages that I have been to try to upcharge you for things you dont need. They are always done quickly.

Full automobile servicing. Great pricing specials and usual competitive prices. Dependable, trustworthy technicians. Free courtesy shuttle. I would have made a five star rating except I usually run into a timely bottleneck delay checking in and/or checking out. Front desk manager is not good.

My window was blown out on the 303. My insurance company sent me there. They took good care of me and had me out of there in 4 hours. The replacement window looks and works great.

Really good guy

Had rear brakes replaced. As usual, SDA did the work for the price quoted, no surprises. Great turnaround time as we needed vehicle early afternoon. Service tech even took test drive to help try to pinpoint a suspected problem. No extra charge.

Took my car in for a check engine light and Jeff was able to diagnose the problem within 30 minutes. It was a vacuum line leak but unfortunately the line was no longer available. Jeff was able to fabricate one that is probably better than the original. Besides repairing my car they were willing to drive me home (North Glendale) while the repairs were being completed. Great people.

BEWARE! We had a very shady experience. Sent my daughter in for an inspection of her A/C system. They installed the die to inspect for leaks. Came back and told her she needed a whole new system. Oh, honey. Its leaking everywhere. You need a new compressor and condenser. $1,400 quote. So far the only leak I can see is from the schrader valve. I replaced the schrader valve for $5. Charged the system with 2 cans of freon for $10. So far so good. The AC system still has a leak somewhere but the point is its working fine and blowing cold. There is no need to replace the major components. They even went so far to tell her that putting in a new AC system in her older car would possibly create other problems because her older car couldnt handle the new components, which makes zero sense for a belt driven accessory.Bottom line, they were acting very sincere to her but they had no intention of being honest and were clearly ready to charge us big money for unnecessary repairs. ZERO STARSResponse to Sun Devils Response - I can appreciate you wanting to provide a solution that you can stand behind. However, I would recommend that you present your customers with all the repair options available and let the customer make the decision that best fits their circumstance. Fixing an issue properly and sufficiently are very subjective terms. Spending $1,300 (per your proper recommendation) on a vehicle with a value of $2,000 seems fiscally irresponsible considering the goal of getting my broke college student though the summer months and then getting rid of the car. Almost 8 weeks since your recommendation of complete replacement and we still have cold air from our D.I.Y. $25 repair. I respectfully decline your invitation to return to your service center for more proper recommendations. Somehow I doubt your looking forward to seeing me. Dont worry, I wont be back.

Took new (to me car) to get windows tinted. Sort of expensive compared to other places. But. This place was super convenient. Shuttle driver very nice and I appreciate that.However. The tint job was substandard. In fact, the worst tint Ive ever had on any of my vehicles. The top edges are cut back, which is amateur, the bottom edges are above the interior window seals, and one window has a lifted bottom corner that will ultimately peel the tint off.Normally Id shrug it off and deal with the lifetime guarantee when it becomes an issue. But...Before I left I had 3 different people giving me scare tactics advise about my car. In particular, a manufacturers recommended maintenance that according to the manufacturer is to be done at the 100,000 mile mark. (Timing belt). According to these guys its every 50 to 60k. (Because Arizona). And if I was driving and the belt broke, Id have destroyed the engine. Their quote? $1,000.So. I called the dealership where the car was originally purchased and maintained and they verified that I have the original timing belt. But... according to the dealership its a maintenance item to be done at 100,000 miles. Even in Arizona. Not 50,000. AND! That if it breaks then Ill lose power, the engine will shut down, and it wont restart. Destroyed? Maybe 1 in 10. And the best part... the dealerships quote? $800. So... I would give 2 stars for the tint. But the scare tactics cost them a star.This place has a captive customer base. And apparently they know it.By the way. The owners response posted below is a complete lie.Nobody from sun devil ever tried to contact me and they know it. No phone call. No text. Not even an email.

My son in law questioned the cost of the part $248 --then he googled the part on amazon and found the original Ford part for under $80. After a miserable event over at midas sun city about a coupon and rude girl who works there i told her after 2 years im taking my business elsewhere. I found George at sun devil very pleasant and took care of my service needs right away and didnt press me for my coupon online. I will be returning there most definitely!

I found the service to be good but too much up sale and prices reflect their location of elderly people that dont know they are way overpaying.

When my Acura was off warranty, I needed a place to change my oil when I was in SCW during the winter. I didnt want to go back to the Acura dealer here in Peoria (their service is hit/miss). For the last 5 years this shop has competently changed my oil with no problems. I drive back to Seattle within 45 days of having this service done. There has never been a problem. They always check and fill the tires and alert me to any possible issues. The price is right, plus the staff is well spoken and friendly. If I ever have work more complex than an oil change done, Ill come back and update my review. I would recommend them based on my experience.

Dont even take your car here for an oil change. Something you would think would be so simple. My friend took her car here and they damaged her oil pan resulting in a $1200 dollar damage that the mechanic created yet they arent paying for. You guys are a joke and you dont deserve the one star it forced me to give you!
