I decided to get new tires and an oil change this weekend, I drove to Firestone on El Camino in Sunnyvale at 4:05pm Sunday January 5th, only to find out when I arrived that they were apparently closed!! Despite the fact that it is posted on Google Maps as well as their own website as 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Before writing this review I decided I would walk up to the front door and check to see if they possibly posted anything that says they closed for a reason today more than 2 hours early, (as all the lights are off the doors are closed the parking lots empty suggesting no one has been here in the past 5 minutes helping customers.) No such note to be found and in fact the posted hours in the window say 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays which would mean that they should still be open regardless. They do have some holiday hours but those hours where for Thanksgiving closed and Christmas Day closed and Christmas Eve close 4 p.m.. its incredibly frustrating as a consumer to make plans then spend time as well as fuel traveling to a business only to find them closed during the hours they have posted. It is one of my biggest pet peeves, businesses which fail to abide by the very parameters in which they have set, it definitely doesnt inspire confidence in the service image they provide. I am aware that there are at times extenuating circumstances may have required them to leave early today, in which case a posting on their website or even a note on the door simply saying sorry will be reopening tomorrow had an emergency. Should I hear back from someone and decide to try again tomorrow I will likely change my rating based on the actual experience as a patronizing customer as opposed to just an upset person who showed up to an empty parking lot. Review according to how they handle it.

Wish to give zero stars if I could, horrible customer service!Want to do a wheel alignment so I first booked an appointment online and when I arrive they said the appointment is supposed to be cancelled because store is closed at 5 - fine, that happens with some online systems, so booked another appointment the next day at 11:30, also confirmed that wheel alignment takes about 45 minutes, great that fits right into my scheduleNext day when I arrive at 11:30, was told that I could get my car back at 1:30 - WTH that’s two hours!!! Have a hard stop at 1:15 but technicians are all busy atm, fine, told me come on Saturday morning at 9 - early but okSaturday morning at 9 I came - all technicians are busy - told me to come back at 12 - W?T?H?Ok so they NEVER rescheduled my appointment, LIED to me about service time, and I can’t believe that I gave them a second and third chance!Finally scheduled a new appointment with another store, STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRESTONE!P.S. Looking at some other comments in google and found others complaining about failed appointment and unbelievably long service time, so good to know that I’m not the only one

Time management is horrible... I made a 10am appointment in advance in the hopes to avoid a long wait. However once I got there, I was told it would take two hours for an oil change. I understanding that unexpected/unforseen issues that might arise; however, I come back two hour later and my car was yet to be seen. I asked how much longer and I was told my car was next on the list. An hour and half later, my car was finally taken to the garage. I expected long wait times at Walmart or any other walk-in service department, but three and half hours with an appointment? Once I got home and reviewed paperwork, it didnt have my information on it. I got someone elses personal information with their name, phone number, and address.
Punctual. My appointment was at 9 AM and they started working on my vehicle right before 9. Great job

Took over hour for oil change. They are not managed well they need someone to managed the mechanic. I would not Recommend this firestone to anyone.
It took around 2 hours to change 4 tires. Im not sure if thats fast or not. Staff were friendly.
My van is apparently heavy for its tire size based on talking to multiple shops. Firestone got me tires from somewhere today so that they could install them before I drive out of town shortly.I should have attended to this weeks ago, so I really appreciate that they were able to make up for my lack of foresight!!
Looking for a killer deal? Dont come here. Price gouging at it finest at this location. A simple battery replacement that should have cost 150 ended up over 300 bucks. Id have rather hired a homeless person to have done this for me. Stick to a ma and pa shop where you know you will great service at a fair price
Went in just for a consultation, not any actual work done to my car, but the service rep. was exceptionally helpful, kind, and courteous and above all, professional. Excellent experience just with that so I will highly regard this shop.Parking lot was sized just enough for the shops actual size. Inside was tidy and clean with seating and well done displays, as well as a courtesy coffee machine for those long mornings when you need to get your car fixed.

This is the best experience I have ever had at a repair shop!! Kirby, Edgardo, and Erick were awesome, caring, kind, concerned about my well being. They bent over backward to help me in what was needed. They exhibited Honor and Integrity!! Unfortunately the tire that they repaired a few days earlier went flat the day I was going to leave Nevada and go back to CA. I had to buy another tire, as Firestone in Nevada said that the tire was not fixable and Firestone in CA should not have tried to repair it.

I made an appointment to take advantage of the AC performance test and the car care package. When I got there they told me they didnt have an AC technician, I sat there waiting almost 2 hours when they told me they couldnt rotate the tires because 1 was too old. They told me they were gonna do the test for free and 20 minutes later they gave me the keys and they told me to go back tomorrow. 2 hrs and they didnt do anything. I said i needed new tires and they didnt even try to sell me ones.

Ordered tires from Simple Tire and prepaid installation, but they dont recognize it and try to charge me again for installation. They also automatically add TPMS kits during install.Weekend appointments doesnt mean anything here. I had a Saturday appointment and was told that they are behind and come back Sunday morning at open. Got there before 9 at opening already two other customers there. Everyone was told that itll take all day for just tire installation. After they try to double charge for installation, they hesitate to let me pick up the tires I paid for.Should consider going somewhere else on weekends. I took the tires to Richs Tires installed in 30 minutes for same price.
I wish if I could do zero star. The staff in the office are rude, stinky and unprofessional. Twice I booked appointment and they said the mechanics is out sick. Then I re-booked, the office staff said guaranteed, when I arrived he said you can leave your car for few days and we will try to fit it in. Who leaves the car for few days for oil change. Simply horrible - no service.
This is a review for Tim at this shop. Went in a saturday morning with a flat tire due to a nail in the tire. Tim has excellent attitude and service. I must say I would be visiting here again to give them my business. Tim seems to be a good guy. Definitely recommend this place.
My tire recently went completely flat, and I had to get a quick repair so I figured I would just go to the place where I had purchased my 4 tires. I didnt really anticipate a whole lot coming into this experience, but I was truly blown away by both the prices and level of customer service that I received here.We were greeted kindly, they looked up our account and history with our phone number to pull up the information about our tires, and they went above and beyond to make sure we got the cheapest price for a new tire and that we got out of there quickly. 45 minutes and we were ready to take our car back with the new tire already on there.All in all, I would highly recommend coming here. Obviously, you experience can depend on who you get that day, but I thought they did a great job and were really nice and honest.
Convenience unfortunately comes with a price! That’s the reason I choose to purchase the tires-alignment-balance it’s all done in one place.Needed to bring back my car after a week, because they didn’t do the proper job from the beginning.And what’s the purpose of scheduling an appointment!If they are “running behind by two hours because of short staff” same story told by Manager Kirby.Customer care at this location is dishonest and unreliable. The worst part of it they think it’s acceptable.
I send my car for a simple tire rotation, nothing more, just tire rotation. After driven the car a week, I opened my hood and discovered that they pulled my battery positive side cover and put it on the struct tower without putting it back. If I havent checked my engine bay myself today, who knows when will this plastic cover would drop into the engine bay and causing issues. For anyone who cares their cars, please go somewhere else, their technician are so careless that cannot put back a battery cover.
I took my 2008 Jag in for service to check battery. I worked with Kirby the MGR, and I found him to be honest and trusting. I also talked with the Tech, Erick. He was a gentleman and knowledgeable. good work guys. Ill be back.

Woman beware!!! They see a woman and try and take advantage of you. I needed brakes to be checked because we are going on a long trip and wanted to make sure they were safe. My uncle who is a mechanic was busy so thought that this place did free checks so why not.They called saying that all four breaks pads and rotors needed to be replaced. It was going to cost 1,200 dollars. Having an uncle who is a mechanic I had a funny feeling about it and thought we will just wait and have my uncle look at it. Told the guy that’s our 3rd car and it’s not needed, thanks we will wait. He then told us that he had a guy inspect it and there is a crack in the rotor and it’s not safe to drive.This is the point that I knew things weren’t as they seem. I picked the truck up and dropped it off to my uncle. He confirmed my suspicion that nothing was wrong with the brakes. So lady’s think twice about this place.
I am very happy and grateful to the firestone staff of sunnyvale, from the first day they attended me they helped me at all times, I had a problem in another workshop where they accidentally broke the screw to drain the engine oil causing a lot of leaking, we were in a I went on vacation with my family and they helped me solve the problem, helped me find a rental car and kept me informed at all times with the repair process.they were in charge of communicating with the workshop where the human error happened and they did the whole process so that I am calm.Thank you very much Firestone. Thank you very much Erick for always explaining the problem and the solutions in detail. Thanks Kirby for helping me at all times, and thanks to the entire firestone team of sunnyvale.

I made an appointment for a Sunday 3pm alignment service at the Sunnyvale store a week ahead but Tai the technician called me Sunday morning to cancel because he thinks he wont have time to finish the work. I understand that and asked to reschedule to next Sunday anytime after 2pm but he refuses to make any appointments still saying he wont be able to finish it. He only agrees to take a Sunday appointment if I drop off the car in the morning. This is a family minivan that I use to haul 3 kids around. I simply dont have other down times for the service. I dont understand why Tai cant finish the service with a scheduled appointment. He pushes me to try my luck at other stores which is farther away from us. Tai also told me he has no boss or supervisor. I feel unfairly treated, powerless, and very disappointed in Firestones bar of customer experience. Maybe it is because I bought a lifetime alignment service and Tai simply dont have time to waste. I also regret I trusted Firestone when I purchased that lifetime alignment service.
Set an appointment online specifying which tires I wanted, went to appointment only to find out they didnt have the tires I wanted and rep wanted to get me tires 50% more expensive without trying to understand my needs. Would definitely not recommend.
I had a 9am oil change appointment. When I arrived at 9am the store was dark and locked. I ended up leaving a little after 10am with the store still locked - whoever was supposed to open up that day simply never showed up.
Wow there is such thing as good customer service. These guys had MISTAKENLY sold me and installed a conventional tire on my car in January. I argued with the kid that I needed run flats and he argued with me that my tires were not run flats. Now theres no spare or jack in the Cadillac ATS so clearly my tires are run flats. But, I needed to replace the tire and so I thought the experts were right.Anyway, the dealership pointed out to me that I had 3 run flats and one conventional tire and vindicated me. I called the store (its now August) and complained to the person who answered the phone and hung up. Within 2 minutes the manager Tim called me back and apologized and told me to take it to any Firestone store and they would completely take care of it. Well done guys. You owned up to the error and fixed it.

Staff changes frequently here. Ive had one somewhat bad, long experience, but I have gone back since and would still trust them with my car. The fact that I can walk there is a plus and a reason Id like to continue giving them business. Ive read some pretty bad reviews on Yelp about this location, but if you temper your expectations and/or are lucky to visit when a respectful person is at the counter, you should have a decent experience. They keep my car going, which is the bottom line; and on the subject of tires, the selection is as extensive as youd expect. Ive bought two sets and have been happy with the price and longevity; I did also include the lifetime balancing and alignment option with both purchases. I realize that must be another reason Id like to continue servicing my car here.
I came in today for a 12 noon appointment. The shop was closed and dark. I can confirm the review from the other person who came at 9 AM today and left at 10 AM without seeing anyone. Firestone dropped the ball here. Quite disappointed.
Unprofessional, attempted fraud, poor customer service, is the normal expectation of the way they do business. Get the run-around. Getting lied to. Wait for hours. Low technical skills. They dont care. Its not just me, look at all the one star reviews on Yelp. Luckily, there is a good alternative - go to Americas Tire.Response from the owner? Ha! Morgan of socialcare is part of the PR group hired to try to mitigate all the bad publicity generated by dissatisfied customers. I sent a detailed 2-page report to the area manager for Bridgestone/Firestone and got nothing but a cursory response and refusal to refund my money for products and services never received. Stay away from this place.
I went in for standard service: oil change, inspection, balance / rotation / alignment. I did have one issue: one of the tires had a slow leak. Not sure what they did or didnt do regarding the above list with one exception: they did not fix the leak and they did rotate the tires (now the leaky tire is in the front). I bought the tires there. Now I need to find somewhere else to look at the tire.
This is where I get both my cars serviced now. Got my tires fixed here. Got my oil changed here. I used to go to the Firestone on San Antonio until Google bought the place, so now I take my car here here. Their time estimates are the best that Ive seen in all the shops that Ive been to, for me thats far more important. Prices are average, not super cheap, but then again, I am not looking for super cheap, I need a place that does good honest work for less than what the dealerships charge, and this fit the bill for me.
Service is friendly and professional but a bit too chilled out if youre on a schedule. I set up the appointment for an oil change and wheel alignment easily online. Job was done in 90 minutes. Theres free Keurig coffee, water and Wi-Fi if you want to wait - but the TV was on Fox News so I did the 10 minute walk to Starbucks instead. Ill be back!
I just move to Sunnyvale area. first bad experience was Midas on El Camino, Sunnyvale. they will cheat you especially being a women. way over price. Just bad Managment and customer services. I tried to give them an honest feedback based on they way they were treating me as a customer and they just brushed me off. I don’t think in a modern age like we are a living now, places like this will be able to stay in Business much longer. Customers are not that stupid! FYI if you need another Firestone place try the Santa Clara office. I had far better experience there and never felt they were taking adavatange of me.
Poor service. Don’t bother booking an appointment. I had an 8am appointment. It is 11:30am now and my car is still in the lot. All this for an oil change. This store has unprofessional and lazy written all over it.

Kody at front kiosk was super friendly and understanding esp when I requested to opt out of the road test. Erick the allignment technician was also very friendly/helpful and quick! I felt bad for cutting his break short.
I needed new tires, having messed up my suspension, so I went to Firestone. Luis was very helpful, and gave me enough information for me to make a good choice. I didnt have an appointment, but they were able to get me in. The work was done within the stated hour and a half.
By far the best autoshop Ive found in the bay area. Helpful friendly staff doesnt try to sell anything you dont need and all the work they do has been top quality for a fair price.
Wrost place ever I caution people from taking their vehicles here.... I took my car for an alignment left a car at 12 oclock in the afternoon... 5:30pm I still havent received a call when it was supposed to be finished at 2 oclock so I go to the place and turns out they havent done anything to my car and all of these hours because they were too busy not one phone call not anything... these people lack hard work..... one ever be taking my car here again they literally are liars and cheats...So if you want to take your car to get a lined here be ready for it not to be ready.....

Everyone else wanted to sell me 80 dollar tires for my old 74 Chevy Van. Brett had 5 in stock for 45 dollars. After I signed the work order, I changed my mind about the road hazard protection and he took it off without complaint. The installer took a lot of effort to clean the bead area and I am sure that if there is a slow leak from these rusty rims she (gyrll power!) will fix it at no cost. The tires feel great. Brett quoted over the phone and an hour later I was on a set of safe new tires. Always a good sign when the manager is working Saturday afternoon.

Typical bullshit bait and switch. Called them, asked about a specific tire. They claimed to have the tire in stock and it would only cost me $99 out the door. When I arrived 15 minutes later, the tire was no longer available, and my tires were now $135 each. These guys perpetuate the slimy car repair place. Take your money elsewhere.
I made an appointment to change oil at 8:30. However, when I arrived, they said no records showing that you had made appointment. After showing them the appointment email, they still said they cannot change the oil now. It will cost at least one hour to change the oil. Ridiculous! Pepboys offers 30 mins guaranteed oil change service! I will never come to firestone again!

Tech named Tony screwed up mounting my new tire purchase. When I pointed out his mistake, he had some nonsense excuse. Then, knowing I was waiting for him to fix it, he left for lunch without telling anyone. Other employees stepped up and took care of me once they realized he had left.Ive always had good service here in the past and I will continue taking my cars here, but I will specify that Tony doesnt come near them.
Had an issue with my Honda Ridgeline Truck pulling to the right after getting an A16 service next door at Honda on friday morning...Went back to honda an hour later but Honda was too busy or really didnt care since I already paid them to help me resolve my issue. I called firestone on saturday morning and they resolved my issue within an hour for FREE since I bought my tires from them. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE GREAT STAFF AT FIRESTONE & THEIR SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!...LONG LIVE FIRESTONE!!!
I was mostly happy with their service until they lied about my total to prevent me from using a coupon that Firestone sent me for being a loyal credit card holder. Cancelling my card and finding a new auto shop.
People are rude as hell and a simple mechanical check takes forever. They try everything they could to make up excuses for asking money spending on the car. Typical dishonest mechanical store. This place is the worst in Bay Area. AVOID!
This was the worst place I have ever taken my car to. I took my car in for an oil change and got a vehicle inspection as well because I was about to go on a small road trip. I was told that the most urgent repairs were my brakes for a total of $1400!! Now, my car is older and I was pretty sure I would need something done on my brakes (maybe get some new brake pads in the front), but they proceeded to try to scare me into getting this repair done by telling me my car was VERY unsafe and the repairs should be done immediately and that I should get a rental car for the road trip, or any travel in my vehicle for that matter, if I chose not to do the repairs. They said there were leaks in my master cylinder as well as one of my calipers being stuck etc. So, pretty major brake problems right? However, I wasnt experiencing any brake issue symptoms. It seemed a little strange. I decided to go get a second opinion at Meineke in Redwood City and see if my car situation was truly that terrible and needed fixing before my road trip. Alberto at Meineke took a look at my brakes and advised me of some repairs for new calipers and front brake pads for less than a third of the Firestone price. He found no master cylinder leakage and suggested that I could go on the trip and bring it back after for the repairs to be done. There was some damage on my car that needed fixing, but nothing to be scared of to go a total of 800 miles. So, here I am, back safe and sound from my trip, and experienced ZERO problems while driving there and back. Alberto fixed my car up the day after I got back. My brakes feel FANTASTIC. I saved about $1000, a peace of mind, AND he surprised me when I picked up my car by fixing my clunky door free of charge. So, long story short, dont go to Firestone and go to Meineke in Redwood City :) I gave them a 5 star review on their review page.

I had an appointment yestereday for an oil change and tire rotation,. When I arrived, I found out my appointment had been cancelled with no explanation as to why. Today, Ive called twice to reschedule the appointment, but no answer. This is VERY, VERY poor customre service.
My wife was sitting there for 2 hours literally while they were fixing a simple tire puncture!
Terrible place. Told us to come at 1:30 pm, then said they cannot do the service because theyre fully booked and couldnt find my appointment. Had to drive away with my leaking tire and not sure whether could reach the next place. Terrible experience.
