Everyone who works there is nice, knowledgeable and most of all concerned about resolving whatever auto issue you may be having. My experience has been they are fair, do excellent work and only the work needed. They will however be good enough to give you advance notice of any issues they may see in the works which is good. So they can be addressed and not leave you stranded somewhere. Highly recommend this shop/group, very glad I found them. Definitely trust them with the service of my car!

I needed one part replaced. Everywhere I went, there was a weeks wait. I walked in to Thunderbird Auto, told them what I needed and they had it done within a couple of hours at a better price than the other places. They also checked over the car and gave me a complete list of what else needed to be done to it at no extra charge. They are very professional and honest and they gladly go the extra mile to ensure the customer is satisfied. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I will definitely be back.

I needed my AC recharged as I noticed it just wasnt cooling like it used to, and weve been having record breaking high temperatures this summer. I called a few repair facilities to be able to do a cost comparison. I checked the coupon book mailer and found a coupon for an AC inspection and recharge up to 1 pound of R134a freon. The coupon was a great price compared to the the normal price and per the competition. They were able to give me a timely appointment and they fixed the problem in about an hour. Apparently, my freon was down about 50%. They refilled the freon and the system is much better, about 46°F now. They told me I should bring in in for a recheck in about a week to look for leaks after using it while the dye is still in the system (no charge, no appointment necessary, and will only take about 10 minutes). When I got in my car, I was happy to see no dirt or grease marks on the upholstery, carpeting, door handles, steering wheel, etc.I would recommend Thunderbird Automotive. Check for their mailer coupons too.

Fast service and very friendly staff.

Theyve done maintenance on our cars for years. Maybe not always the cheapest (but who really wants cheap car care?) but have always put out the extra effort to keep us up and running and safe... emergencies included when they had to slip us in to an already crowded schedule.

Place is just a massive rip off price wise for their parts. Any part they quote you go to Rock Auto website and price out the exact same part. It’s ridiculous. When I brought up the price difference the guy at the counter said “yeah, I don’t know how their prices are so much less”. If you can get a second opinion for price. I had was quoted $1,600 for cooling hoses, water pump and a pulley tensioner. I priced the parts for $300 on my own. I don’t mind a business owner making a buck, but this place really preys on oblivious people.

I called up to make an appointment to have my A/C repaired and took it in the next day and was asked about my time frame and I said ASAP. I was contacted and advised of what they found and what they were going to do and given a $$ amount. The amount was less then I thought it would be. A/C works great.

After my engine light went on 3 days before Christmas I called Thunderbird auto thinking it would be after Christmas before I could get it checked out. I was told to have my truck there in 15 minutes and they would check it out. Within an hour it was diagnosed as fouled spark plugs and the repair was done in three hours. I have been getting routine service for my 2013 Cadillac at Arrowhead Cadillac. Nice people, nice service department, nice dealership. But it was time for my 60,000 mile service and they gave me a flat package price of $1,475. Whoa!!! I had several referrals to Thunderbird, so I decided to give them a try. Great place. They did the same work for half what the dealership wanted. But that wasnt my main criteria. I could get lower pricing than a Cadillac dealership a lot of places. This place is clean and very friendly, and its genuinely a pleasure to do business there. They proactively look for existing or potential future problems, which is big for me because Im a car idiot. But they are not looking to add on unnecessarily or pad bills. I actually enjoyed doing business here, and they have a customer for life unless something changes.

The staff and technicians show professionalism in their job. They find and fix what needs to be done. If other problems show up, they will inform you, and let you know the cost of repairs before proceeding. Excellent work and service.

Brought my Ford Transit Connect in to be checked out as it was running rough. Matt and his team did the most thorough inspection I have ever seen from a auto repair shop. They documented everything that was wrong with my vehicle and even took pictures. Never had a shop do that before. I am very happy with their auto service and how fast they get the work, but done right the first time. My wife drives 32 miles to and from work each day so we are having to get an oil change on her car every two months so we have gotten to know these guys and they are very helpful with making sure her car safe for her each day.

They may suggest something based on the Tech working on your vehicle, but the pressure is not there...just letting you know what they have found. We were relieved that they have appointments and a shuttle service to and from home for single car owners. They were proactive in providing a total car inspection to first time customers and showed us photos of wear and tear on internal parts. My long search for a trustworthy, reliable and efficient auto repair shop ended when I was told about Thunderbird Automotive in Surprise. A client of my wife at Pure Physique Pilatez in Surprise said she knew of an honest auto repair shop that was within a couple miles of my home. A few days after my wife told me of this recommendation I had car trouble. I called Thunderbird Auto and they arranged for a tow to their shop. Thus began my relationship with Thunderbird. I especially like the software that tracks necessary periodic maintenance for my vehicle. When I expected to be told of expensive, unnecessary repairs, nobody at Thunderbird tried this tactic. They informed me of periodic maintenance that the manufacturer recommends which I am now following. This place is highly organized with a no nonsense approach to automotive repair. Wanted to update my negative review posted recently, but could not find it on your website. Long story short, l had a disagreement over recommended service to replace brakes and fan belts. After talking to the owner l felt that the brake replacement recommendation was warranted and legitimate, and I appreciated his explanation as to why it should be done. I was wrong on this issue. As for the recommendation to change the fan belts at a quoted cost of $286.70, because of cracks and wear, that was supposedly discovered upon inspection, that is a different story. After removing the belts myself and taking them to the shop, there was no evidence of cracks or excessive wear, on either belt, that could be observed by myself or management. I did not push the issue, but l still feel that it was unethical to recommend repair that was not needed. After reading many positive reviews on this business, l was disappointed in my own experience.

Car repairs are never enjoyable -- theyre always needed at the most inconvenient time and theres always the worry of how much is this gonna cost me this time. At least at Thunderbird, the people are friendly and pleasant and try their hardest to make a bad situation easy -- from long experience, I know I can trust them when they tell me whats needed and an estimate of the cost. In emergencies, theyve always fit us in and been honest in their time and scheduling estimates.

They not only JUST service your vehicle, they inspect it for potential problems and advise you on actions to take in order to keep you save and your vehicle in good working order. In my situation, during an oii change, they detected that my battery was failing. Little did they know that it was a 2 months old replacement battery for one that suddenly failed and left me stranded in a store parking lot. Who else checks a battery condition during a routine service call? These guys saved me from having anotherstranded situation. By the way, it took the dealership that sold me the battery 5 hours to determine it was failing and replace it.

Outstanding customer service! Matt, and everyone else I talked to, treat customers with the level of service that you used to only see decades ago.Have been chasing a loss of performance, that was leading me to a possible bad fuel injector, and turned out to be a failing fuel pump. They even warned me that it may not fix my issue, but was an educated guess. They were right, and now my jeep runs like it did 50k+ miles ago.They had ample opportunity to throw unneeded parts into the problem, yet they did not. When you find competent workmanship and great service in the same place you have to share your good experience. Our repaired 2011 Dodge Journey came back to life under their care. Thunderbird Automotive found and fixed troubles after an inspection that we did not know we had. So thankful that we said yes, please do what is needed. The car runs and handles like new again. We did not realize the extent of poor performance which came up slowly over the miles driven. They are experts in the automotive field with customer service that is to dream about.

This place RIPS you off and charges you for services that are NOT wrong with the car. A car was taken to TWO different excellent mechanics prior where all issues were fixed and was running in perfect condition. When taken here for a minor leak less than a month later the car owner was told that he needs about $1800 worth of repair (which none of that service addressed the small oil leak). Please be advised that this place takes money from naive people and would strongly suggest finding an honest mechanic!
