We bought their premium garden blend, which on their website is listed as: for high performance applications such as raised beds, berming and vegetable growing. It is even listed as having compost in it, meaning it would be living soil. When I called the person I spoke to compared it to the 50/50 option that my partner has used for years from McClains, with great success, and without having to amend it right away. So we ordered 10 yards of it and planted.But the plants didnt grow, and for two months we waited while only beans and peas grew well (probably not a coincidence that it was the nitrogen fixers that grew). So we called and said we wanted our money back because we were in the process of needing to amend the soil. A manager came to look at the crops and basically said the opposite of whats on their website and what we were told. She said it wasnt plant-ready soil, it was soil that would need to be amended. She refused to gives us a refund.Basically theyre selling dead soil as living soil. Do not recommend.

My neighbor told me she got their blend for a couple of rows in her garden and had the same problem.When the manager came to look, she was kind, but told me that their “premium garden blend,” was not actually meant to grow fruits and veggies, it was merely a “base,” and that lots of fertilizing and amending would be required.For the same price, you can go to other places and get far better soil that produces year after year with minimal composting or amending.Don’t get soil here. It’s basically dead dirt.

Called them on a Friday afternoon, and 80 minutes later I had 6 yards of 1 1/4 clean crushed stone delivered to my house! The delivery guy was very helpful, splitting it into two piles exactly where I wanted. This was so easy, I wondered why I never called them before. The price for 6 yards delivered was also better than five other places I called (one company was pretty close to Walraths quote, but a few others were far more expensive).

I live across the street and have a mid-size yard. Staff are helpful and friendly. No truck? You can buy bags of rocks, compost, bark, etc. very easily and pricing is simple. I love having great businesses like this one on the Eastside.

Ive ordered loads of dirt several times from Walrath over the past couple of years and they have excellent service. Everyone has been friendly, helpful and accomodating. Im getting ready to order several more yards of dirt from them. I recommend them highly.

Knowledgeable personnel, a wide variety of products, and they know how to use them. I did have a small and temporary problem with billing, which was easily solved by them with a couple of phone calls. Ill definantly use them again.

The staff were very helpful and the loader was an ace at his job getting 1 yard of soil in the middle of the tarp I had down and no wheres else.

Could not add a load at the end of my 12 load delivery. Was also told they didnt know of another supplier in town. What? How do you not know of another company that does what you do when you cant. I googled it and found G & L Bark. They took care of me right away and came in a tiny bit cheaper.

I called about 3 weeks ago because I was very interested in the soil products sponsored by hendrikus and walrath, after searching i found that you have merged with hendrikus with some special soils ( i saw this on cisco). i called in to the main office and was passed on to greg who left a message on his phone that he was on another line or busy but would return my phone call, as of today i have called and left numerous messages to no avail, i even had some friends call and do the same, again no call backs. i dont think that Gregg is interested in selling these products, and its unheard of in todays world not to return phone calls. i have forwarded this to hendrikus main web site because i am sure they will be interested in all the lost sales he has cost them . as far as your web site it is very good and leads people to believe that you are interested in helping them with this service, i think you should visit with greg because he is costing you in more ways than lost sales
