This place is amazing. Its a wonderland in there. Theres so much variety, and youre sure to find something great. The people there are so personal, and really make sure you walk out happy. Would recommend this place a thousand times over. 😄😃

Great resource for all things costume. I needed ghostly makeup and stuff to black out my teeth. They had it all and helped me transform into Jacob Marleys Ghost for A Christmas Carol. Im no makeup expert so it was nice to get their advice and help, including a bottle of makeup remover. They did not have makeup remover wipes, though, so I had to go elsewhere for those.

Outstanding costume shop for rentals and purchase covering all eras and looks. NW Costume is a really cool, large store. Its in an old building on 6th Avenue. You walk in and its like being in an old boutique, jewelry cases, accessories and make-up fill the area. In the back are several rooms with gigantic racks, high & low, full of costumes - 1,000s of them.Ive rented from NW Costume many times and the outfits are very complete. You work with the employees to find a costume and accessories - and get both with your rental. You get your costume for several days - the average price is about $50. The most Ive spent is about $80, and that included a full feather head dress, satin cloak, flapper dress, jewelry and gloves.The owners - a husband & wife team - and all the employees are truly delightful. Fun and helpful. I cant recommend them highly enough!

I stopped by last minute for a turn of the century themed wedding. Mary is extremely knowledgeable and in a matter of MINUTES transformed us from jeans and shorts guys to looking like we owned half of Seattle in 1912. Fantastic!! Ill be back for Halloween and my own wedding soon!

I cant tell you how many times Ive called this shop when I needed something odd or out of the ordinary. Great selection of high-end vintage rentals. The owner does hand-beading on a lot of the costumes. Great attention to detail. When they dont have something they are quick to call local stores for items I need.

I thought the employees were very helpful. After trying on several things on, not finding what I was looking for, a different employee stepped up and helped me find something that I never even thought of! I thought they were a great team and have an amazing selection.

I would rate this place as a 0 if I could! First, we received the WORST customer service ever, we were the first couple in the building and it took about thirty minutes before anyone reached out to us (A white male entered the store after us and the owner/manager promptly helped him). Second, I attempted to try an outfit on and the store owner/manager fully went out of her way to make sure that the outfit was my body type as she called it. After she approved of my body size matching the body suit, she rudely continued by sending me on my way to help myself to a dressing room, well, after she rudely insinuated that I was to large for the outfit, I noticed that the outfit was made of cheap material and not worth the $70 price mark. Not only was it made of cheap material, it was extremely overpriced. After I exited the dressing room, she stopped her transaction, to rudely ask me (THE CUSTOMER) to put back whatever I had tried on! Not only was I embarrassed, but also the lady she was ringing out in the transaction, it honestly has to be the worst retail experience I have ever had. It is apparent the owner is obviously a mess. If I were able to rate this store as a 0 I totally would, I will definitely spread the word to my friends, and have them not purchase from this store!!!!!!! Honestly, worst service ever. I wouldnt return even if I were paid!

I found the employees very helpful when I was there for photo props. They suggested some themes, ran around and pulled tear away and easy on/off items that would work together. Unique items, much better quality than a party store.

An surreal experience, worth visiting just for the atmosphere. Very nice lady spent a lot of time on us for what turned out to be a $3 purchase.

This place has been indispensable to us for at least 10 years. Mary is a genius at finding things and putting together all the pieces to make a costume special. We have done so many theater productions through the years where we would have been lost without her. And she always has made the process so much fun! I have a deep respect for her because she works tirelessly to keep her costumes in pristine condition ( a VERY tedious and time consuming job - sewing tiny sequins, beads etc. Mending and doing whatever it takes to make it perfect for the next customer), all the while helping customers and taking phone calls! You should go there prepared to patiently wait for her precious time. She does the job of at least 4 people! I have gone alone for a single costume, and I have taken several cast members at a time in looking for costumes from every conceivable era and we have always found something wonderful at a very reasonable price! I am a forever customer!
