I was sorry to be told when my caregiver drove all the out there that they werent just closed day but permanently because the owner /Doll Doctor passed away last January. I was sorry when I found this out because sounds like he was a very nice and generous man. I just wish they would put that on his webpage because I had tried over and over again to call to make an appt to come out there but I never got a return call. So we went out there when it said open it took a half hour to get out there and then that when we were told why it was closed but his son did let us look inside doll museum and he even let me choose 5dolls out of any for just $50 plus doll wigs and doll clothes of the highest quality he was very kind to me and I am very thankful that I got to glimpse into the past there dolls everywhere you looked or even blocking the way everywhere I went but they were all so beautiful. I dont know if the dolls are still there this son had tod me that his mom was maybe going to auction them off.
Would like to see them.quesstions on when I can actually enter.i have dolls that my friend Julia rescued from a desturbing indavidual who magicly loves the little people inside us But I fear they will shatter when i put something else on them besides those old yeller cloths they been sitting in well .my idea of a good trade is trade all the Oliver twist broken hearted antiques she called hers for a one big one just like me ? Please? Happy ness will come just let her in.
The Doll Museum is ran by my Amazing Uncle who takes Pride in all his Dolls and also helping all his CUSTOMERS and there Dolls..
I met Floyd, the doll doctor today. He helped me find a new home for my Amanda Star porcelain doll set. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. I got to see inside his doll museum and it was pretty cool! He has lots and lots of dolls of every kind. I love that this is a local, family owned business. Floyd the doll doctor repairs dolls and is considering purchasing equipment that will allow him to make his own porcelain replacement parts. Thanks Floyd! It was nice to meet you and hear your story!
I called ahead and scheduled a time to meet with the owner over a month ago to purchase my doll collection of about 30 porcelain dolls. I drove three hours to meet with him and when I arrived the place was a complete dump, there were two cars parked outside yet everything said Closed with lights off. I called and left messages while I waited and listened to his two dogs barking non-stop. I finally left, this was last Friday 8/16 and I still have not heard anything from him. If this was an actual business I would report it but I highly doubt by the looks of it, this is anything more than someone working out of their garage. Do not go here, not professional, very dirty and unclean, not a real place of business and they dont follow any kind of hours of operation.
I went into see the doll doctor with my oldest granddaughters broken well loved doll it had a broken leg and armHe couldnt fix it but helped me find a close replacement for it. I would tellEveryone to go see his museum .its really cool when you get inside .
Great, I found a wig I needed for a doll!
Every kind of doll imaginable. And Dr Blake fixes any and all dolls. And buys and sells.
