Hands down this is easily one of the best eastern European stores I have been to. Great selection, fresh and delicious. However, we are a year and a half into covid and employees and patrons do not feel inclined to wear a mask or respect personal space. Despite state mandates and common sense, the store seems to encourage the opposite. Come on guys.

The market has an awesome selection of products and the cafe has terrific food that is ridiculously cheap for the excellent quality: the food feels genuine and earthy. You know that they use wholesome ingredients from the entrées to the desserts. 100% coming back here.

Excellent cakes and pastries, nice selection of cured meats and good in-season produce. Grab chebureki or cakes to go and dont forget to stop by the small cafe next door for a borscht. Also, do not ignore the produce section. Some fruits and vegetables dont look shiny, but its fresh, natural and cheap. Stop by for a taste of Russia and save yourself a separate grocery shopping trip.

The best European food store in the area... sausages and bread are fresh and good. Local produce.. and their hot dishes menu is 👍 cakes are always fresh and yummy

I have been to this Russian deli three times now with my Mom who actually made me aware of it. Although I have to say that I am not Russian but am German I have been very pleased with having found several German items I love and have purchased from this deli. The store is very nice and always very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful as well.They offer a nice variety of ripe and good quality produce at a very low price which in itself is almost with going there for if even for nothing else. Their prices are very on par for what your getting and seem to be pretty close to the same as any other specialty deli.I would definitely recommend checking them out regardless of youre Russian or not!

Love the restaurant here with traditional Ukrainian food that we enjoy hot for lunch. Many wonderful desserts and cafe lattes as well. Then we can shop for groceries after where there is a great variety of foods from many different Eastern European countries.

Love this store they Cary alot of the things from Germany i remember from my childhood. The prices are fantastic way better then German store. They dont have the variety of German store but make up for it with price

This is the best place in Washington, let alone Parkland. I used to drive here from Lacey because this place is simply amazing. I am so grateful that I can order delicious Russian/Ukrainian deli and cooked meals without having to fly over to Ukraine to get it. This place is as authentic as any store in Russia or Ukraine as it gets. Truly the greatest gem in the Evergreen State next to Mt. Rainier.

Great European store/deli/cafe. I love that it is spacious, clean and organized. Staff is friendly. If you aren’t Russian speaking, they always have someone who you can ask questions. Definitely try their meat selections next time you’re there!

After coming here for years, I came to the store to see a sign making it abundantly clear they don’t take the pandemic or wearing masks seriously. The employees as well as most customers didn’t have the masks on. This is just irresponsible, even if it’s coming from ignorance. Will not be coming here again.

Not fluent in Russian and the employee that helped me (Elizabeth) was very kind and helpful to show me around the store. Really inexpensive with a lot of really good food. Will definitely be going back.

I love shopping at this store. Food is always fresh, shelves are well stacked and prices are reasonable. Since deli has expended it’s become my favorite spot for meals and grocery shopping, all in one stop.

This was my first time at Marvel Food & Deli. I got lunch at their Marvel Bay Cafe. The food is delicious! Everything I ate was tasty! I had cabbage rolls, chicken meatballs, and their seasoned potatoes.I got a whole other box of food to bring home to my family, plus some of their fresh made pastries.They also serve breakfast from 7am - 11am.I highly recommend Marvel Food & Deli, as well as their cafe!

Visited it again yesterday. I try to make it at least once a month. Best deal for fruit and vegetables around. Always something new. You may not always have the same thing because of what can be imported at certain times, but I have gotten things from Europe, Middle East, U.S., and the the Eastern countries. LOVE this store!!! There is one in Auburn, too. Must go.

Nice, clean place to buy an European food and not worrying that its expired. And prices are not bad too.

Smaller selection of produce than most stores, but what they have tends to be well priced and high quality. All the import foods are what grab your attention the first visit, but its the produce section that keeps me coming back. Bakery can be hit or miss, one fried food experience definitely left me feeling the oil needed to be changed, but the deserts have always been good. Staff is friendly and helpful, but, as another review mentioned, I have seen few businesses that disregard the mask mandates as much as this place.

Great place for some groceries shopping. They also have very good tasting peroshkis and other bread type selections. If your in the neighborhood stop by and check them out. Did I mention they have an entire assortment of chocolates.

Easter European type market place that reminds me of a Chicago suburb market, lots of Russian and polish canned goods, plenty of sweets to choose from and a few hard to find desserts

Good selection of Russian and Eastern European foods (I love ethnic foods from all over). Store was clean and the staff friendly. Quite disappointed that they do not enforce face mask requirements. Even saw an employee not wearing a mask. Sadly, I will not be back any time soon.

Nice place for Russian foods. I bought some bulk candy from the bulk candy aisle and they are priced from $3.99 lb. - $7.99 lb. All of mine were from the $4.99 section and they clerk who rang me up rang them for $5.99 lb. Not a huge deal, so I let it go. I was in my car when I realized the mistake and it amounted to only a couple dollar overcharge. The lady should have asked me which candies I was purchasing or walked over to varify on her own if she wasnt sure of a price. Next time I will be sure to watch more closely while being rang up. The other incident that bothered me was that I had been waiting behind my sister to be rang up after her. (I was next in line) and a lady walked up to order espresso and she was helped before I was and the cashier never even acknowledged me until she was done waiting on the line cutter. It irritated me a bit.

Great selection of candies, nice deli and some decent produce. Typical euro market selection of various smoked tinned fish, potted meats and pate. Highlight of the trip was a jar of pickled pattypan squashes that turned out to be amazingly tasty and I wish Id snagged more.

Nice food, decent prices. Halibut collars re cheap and delicious when you bake them. Big box of seaweed salad is yum! Only minus is lots of people without masks:( Didnt feel safe, cut my shopping short..

Marvels Deli has a great assortment of Western European goods. They have Pastries to stuffed Pasta, Fresh Red Cabbage for Borscht, they also have those little Candies from my Childhood.. GiveMarvels a try, an make your Moms or Dads old Favorite dinner tonight..

I have been coming here for about two years. They have products from my old country, and from the company I worked for in my home town. Nice deli, and produce section. The store is clean, and well staffed. There is plenty of parking spaces. This should be a five star review, right? The cavalier attitude towards pandemic is unacceptable. PLEASE WEAR MASKS!

I used to come here to find interesting baked goods, cheeses and teas. However, I stopped in yesterday and saw the sign at the entrance declaring their ambivalence to masks. I did take a look inside.Inside the store, the employees that I saw were not properly wearing masks. Several customers wore no masks at all. I would not trust any food being prepared there. If they cant follow health guidelines around mask usage, I wouldnt trust their handling of other food safety rules. My husband actually did get sick after eating baked goods back in March. We had chalked it up to something else, but now Im not so sure.I doubt I will return here. Plenty of other businesses taking things seriously.

Marvel Food & Deli is one of the cleanest, nicest stores in the area. The staff is VERY helpful, which comes in handy when one encounters some of the many items that are not labelled in English. They have an AMAZING deli selection of meats and cheeses! Dont forget to stop by the European bakery for a dessert or to try the hot foods & salads!

I was so excited to get some pierogis here but as I was walking in many of the customers and none of the staff were wearing a mask. As a nurse, this is quite disheartening as the pandemic is still in full force.

A great place to find all sorts of hard to get treats and food

I stumbled upon this Russian/European grocery store and deli serendipitously one day recently and have been returning every time Im in the Parkland area.The casual cafe has excellent prices and terrific food. The Borscht is fantastic...its a favourite, but I also love the cabbage rolls, salads, and pastries. The portions are large and you can eat to bursting for about $10. They have a nice selection of crepes both sweet & savoury here as well.The grocery has a huge selection of Russian/Eastern European food stuffs in every category. We love canned Sprats in our house and they have a nice selection of them. Also - an aisle devoted to candies and confections. If you are looking for some unusual candies - this is a great spot. They also carry candies with liquor in them, which can be hard to find in the US.Large parking lot, super nice staff. Located just North of Saars on Pacific Avenue.

Good selection of foods, cheap produce, and excellent cold cuts. But enforcement of masks??? Half of the customers dont have masks AT ALL. Manager or supervisor walking around the store with mask under the nose, and pulling it down to talk to employees. Irresponsible. Will not be back for a long while.

Great european grocery store with bakery and with restaurant. Russian inspired food but you can find a lot of stuff from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova as well.

Great Eastern European market and restaurant. Fresh items from the bakery with everything from pastry to bread. The cake case has a handy chart on the side listing the fillings. Deli area offers packaged as well as full service meats and cheeses. Vegetables are locally sourced, beautiful and fairly priced.The restaurant offers crepes, hot meal plates along with several cold salads to choose from. Its nice to have a good lunch before shopping.The best part is by far the very helpful friendly service. There is another market in Tacoma, closer to where we live that is the most unfriendly store we have ever tried to frequent. We will drive a little further for the Marvel Market ÷>

Excellent selection at the deli counter. No customers were wearing masks except us, no signage for masks or distancing. Staff at deli counter did not keep mask over mouth and nose, no cleaning practices in place. I did not feel valued because of this.
