This place is a really great place for breakfast. They have many many options for drinks, coffees, teas, and non-caffeinated beverages too (I had a golden tea). But the most important reason to visit is the amazing pastry selection! They have over 10 options in the morning, options that you cannot even find in a big city. We had a blueberry hand pie. They have two-seat outdoor seating options and plenty of parking too!

Got coffee here with a friend early one weekend morning. The place could use more outdoor seating. Indoor seating wasnt an option (because COVID), so we sat at one of the picnic tables for the food cart next door. ( The food cart was not open, so we did not take any seating away from their customers.) The coffee was good, very strong. I was jacked up on it all day. The worker was very helpful and friendly. Very pleasant.

Our visit started with a pleasant greeting...and only got better. The Iced Chai Latte with just the right amount of spice but not too sweet. Their options of non-dairy alternatives of Almond, Oat or Coconut were appreciated. We also opted for a Cold Brew with half-n-half. The locally roasted beans provided a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up. Next time we’re in Taos, we know where to stop in.

Excellent Cold Brew and service. Went to 6 coffee places in Taos before I found one with Cold Brew. Well, I will never try another Taos coffee establishment again. Everyone else tried to sell me iced Americano or iced coffee. Not the same. The woman here not only knew the difference, but smiled and had great customer service. She was also wearing a mask even though we were outside the window... so I wore one too. Great place! Thank you!

Every visit here is Wonderful. The staff are welcoming and enjoyable . I am never disappointed with the quality of the drinks whether coffee, Golden milk, chai or matcha. I am thrilled that CA is now serving burritos from Wake and Take on the weekends ~ deeelicious. I enjoy sitting outside and early morning reads on ReadUp here and seeing/meeting friendly community faces (the non-furry ones I.e. pets are pretty cool too) 😉

WastefulSkip this coffeeshop if you consider yourself an environmentally conscious consumer. This is a profit driven, inconsiderate, burn&turn shop. If you want to drink coffee out of a mug like a civilized human being do it at Elevation Coffee down the road, which is a much better place anyway with actual seating. This roadside window only does single use cups. And forget about bringing your own mug/travel cup, they won’t touch it out of a fear of covid - yet they’ll gladly handle your dollar bills. Go elsewhere.

This place is a joke. They refused to serve me bc I didnt have a mask outside. What a joke, hopefully small businesses like this wake up and stop enforcing this propaganda I walked a mile from my hotel to get coffee bc the reviews looked good and I figured I would walk instead of drive all to be treated like dirt bc I wont wear a muzzle. This place is a joke and Im happy they wouldnt serve me bc I dont like to support sheep!

I used to be a customer at this shop, but things change when you get there as they are closing not knowing what the hours are and are greeted by an employee yelling at you to read the sign because they are closed. Havent been back since. There are plenty of coffee shops in Taos that treat their customers better. Maybe it was a bad day but they went from five stars to one because they couldnt be nicer about telling me that they were closed. Oh, well.

Came into town Saturday morning from Albuquerque. Found what turned out to be the only place in Taos that wasnt overrun with tourists. Sat and chatted with locals and their dogs, Dusty being my favorite. The owners seemed to have put this together the way an espresso bar ought to be. People standing in line, catching up with each other, or sitting and talking over the coffee, which, by the way, was incredibly well prepared. Wont hesitate to stop again.

I went here every day I was in Taos. It was my go to coffee shop. The cool vibe just oozes off of every corner of this place. Even the bathroom keeps up with the cool and hip decor. They roast their own beans, and on two occasions when I came in, beans were being roasted, so the smell inside the shop was divine. They offer a variety of unique and housemade non-coffee options. They have a variety of teas, plus matcha. They also offer alternative milks for vegans and those who are trying to avoid dairy. The offer pastries, but those sell out early in the day. The place was always crowded, but it is not too difficult to find a place to sit, despite the crowds.

I frequent a lot of coffee shops and have never been told they don’t have caramel. Seems like it would be a standard syrup to have. Settled for a vanilla latte instead. The barista was slightly on the rude side, even laughed at me when I went to stir my drink, informing me that I didn’t “have to” stir it. Some people prefer to stir their drinks, it’s a thing. Too many coffee shops around to not get what you want and get treated like that. They also don’t have sleeves for to-go cups.

Being from Taos, Ive been around and around the local coffee shops over the years. Coffee Apothecary is in its own league. From the beautifully clean, airy, bohemian ambiance, to the perfectly, expertly pulled espresso, this is possibly the very best coffee ever Ive had outside of my own home.My son and I sat so comfortably at the window bar for over an hour, needing to kill time, and yet never becamed uncomfortable. Even though the cafe area was packed, it was a quiet pleasant place to hang out.
