Our experience (my wife and I) was great, we found a car we liked on cars.com and contacted the dealer to test drive. Within a couple minutes John Miller reached out to schedule a time. He was extremely helpful and super friendly. He answered all of our questions in a concise and informative way. He also wasn’t super pushy which is a big deal for me. He let us go at our own pace and was great to work with throughout our couple of visits. I highly recommend asking to work with John if you are going to this location. Altogether a great experience. They even gave us about a $2000 discount off the posted price on the website without us asking. And it was already the best price i saw for the car we were looking at. Like I said we looked on cars.com so we were seeing cars from all kinds of dealership throughout the Phoenix area. Would recommend this dealership to anyone looking at getting a car. And like I said earlier ask for John Miller he’s great to work with.

Purchased a “new to me” Honda Civic a month ago and it was a great experience. My husband has a 1999 Honda Accord that has well over 200k miles and still runs well, a lot thanks to Tempe Honda’s service department *David* taking great care of it over the past decade++ so we knew we’d likely purchase a car from Tempe Honda when it came time to purchase.My husband and I went there on a Sunday right when they opened just to browse and test drive a few cars because we were trying to decide on a CR-V vs Civic for a future purchase. *Fernando* was relaxed and friendly right from the start, wasn’t a pushy stereotypical salesperson at all. He quickly found a vehicle we’d been looking at online the night before (the one we ended up purchasing) and we went for several test drives in civics, HR-Vs, and CR-Vs. He was pleasant to chat with, knew what he was talking about for the different models we were interested in, and became even more relatable when we learned more about his past career experience/other things about him as we were going on test drives. He made the purchase comfortable, easy, and entertaining. Now we have two cars that will be taken care of well by David over in service. Thanks Fernando, David, and Tempe Honda.
Our experience here was very poor. We were not given the time of day and our concerns were brushed aside. The car we bought was dirty even after multiple requests to clean it and assurances that it was detailed. The car still had the previous owners information inside. But most importantly, the dealership was dishonest. The car had a missing part on the front bumper. You might expect a car you buy to have its parts. The dealership assured us that they would take care of it at no cost to us. But what we didnt know is that all the parts come in black. Our car is bright white. When we informed the dealership that it needed to be painted, they simply stated, thats not what we agreed on, and moved on to the next customer. Any reasonable person would expect that when the dealerships says theyll take care of it, that would NOT mean having a black part right on the front of our white car. Very disappointed at this dishonesty and their refusal to make it right.
The Salesman Peter Metrahi did an excellent job explaining and helping compare cars. Was very relaxed and laid back. Likewise finance manager Jay was personable and easy going. No backroom pressure tactics whatsoever. But when I circled back and wanted to know more about options he answered all questions professionally. A very easy and pleasurable car buying experience. Had to wait a few days for our car, which is normal in current market.

The BEST experience that I have EVER had at a dealership. Gage was my salesman and didnt pressure me at all in buying a car and was very cordial and professional!!! I gave them a call and Adrian said hey we are going to help you get that car. He won’t stop until I was satisfied with pricing and find ways to make it happen. I went for a test drive with Adrian on the car and I absolutely love it. It might be one of the greatest car buying experience I ever had.
I had been shopping around for a car for a while and I had some negative experiences at other dealerships but TEMPE HONDA WAS AMAZING! I really felt taken care of and they made the buying process very easy. I worked with Fernando there and he had so much patience and really had my best interest in mind. He knew what I wanted and we really didnt settle for anything else. He listened to what I was looking for and kept me updated with info. Communication was great. The finance managers worked hard to get me a great rate and exceeded my expectations by far! These are truly some of the great workers you will ever work with when buying your car! I couldnt say enough nice things about them, and I am extremely happy with my car and experience as a whole.
Absolutely, positively, do NOT trust these liars. I was interested on a 2012 Mitsubishi that they advertised on Facebook Marketplace! I asked if it was available and that means to buy, why the heck else would I ask that question? I drive an hour one way to look at it and am told what a swell vechile it is but they are waiting on parts (that they may never get because of the part shortage) so, no, this vechle was not available and they knew it. Dont trust the $h!t show working there.
My review only speaks to the service/parts side of the house. I tried to get my car serviced at AutoNation Honda in Chandler, and they only had appointments two weeks out. Tempe Honda had one available the next day. Everyone seems professional. They have a really good parts department with good prices. I brought in my bug splattered car for an oil change. Accidentally left my credit card on the tray. Got the car back clean and credit card was where I left it. Definitely worth the extra drive for service.

When you are traveling far from home and have vehicle troubles, it can be very stressful! We are from West Virginia and are on an epic three week adventure that included a stop in Tempe. The computer in our 2020 Pilot went haywire and we lost all audio, plus the backup camera and it also would not shut off when we turned off the car. A call to Tempe Honda on a Saturday evening at 5pm resulted in a Monday 8am appointment. When we arrived this morning we were greeted promptly and treated with respect and concern. Within an hour or less, the computer was reset and updated and functioning normally again!Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly and courteous. I wish I had all their names. Kavicka (I hope I didnt kill the spelling) and Andy were the primary service personnel that worked with us and these are top-notch people. Kind, knowledgeable, efficient and I could go on and on!Thank you Tempe Honda!
Just leaving general feedback, my survey link I received doesn’t work for some reason,I received service on my Honda on a Saturday morning, I do understand I didn’t have an appointment, but to be fair i didnt plan on waking up to a dead battery. the service took well over 3 and a half hours for an oil change and a battery replacement, I’m waiting in the lobby, get the call that the vehicle is finished, I’m being told a couple of recommendations for the vehicle, that’s fine. after i proceed to say that I will schedule service for another day as I’ve already spent too much time there the advisor states, ok ill get everything checked out for you, give me another 30-45 minutes I was under the impression the car was completed. I then walk over to his desk to sign the work order, he states he will go get my car himself, that takes another 30 minutes, why I have no clue, another person actually went and pulled my car up after I stood there for 30 minutes. I was advised the wait was due to the car wash, I get in my car to see that the oil gauge is not reset, and the window was rolled down after it just came out of the wash. all that time and the oil gauge couldn’t even be reset? experience was definitely a 3/10 this time around.
Jakob was easy to deal with and the process was easy.Sales individuals polite and courteous as well as sales manager and finance. Definitely a difficult time for the industry and they were very honest about everything and based on what they said I would go back to buy another car. I have purchased many vehicles, and a number of dealers/brands I wouldn’t go back to just based on employee behavior.Fair trade in value compared to other dealers without having to go back and forth and having to hear the “this is all we’re going to make, the car industry is changing again”.On a side not as golfer, the Titleist bag should have been put in the trunk to advertise for you, just saying for some free advertisement for you 😂

My husband had met our salesman months ago when he was in the decision making process and when we had made our decision he was there to help. I would encourage anyone looking for a Honda that will last for years to come this dealership. Went in to do maintenance on an unreliable vehicle and left with a brand new vehicle while paying off our existing loan. There were no pressure sales but plenty of quality people. Now we do not have to worry about reliability anymore, which is awesome with AZ summers. Who could ask for more?
Picked up 2019 Honda CRV after fuel pump recall & sevice. Honda left wife stranded on reservation. Poor service workmanship. To top it off Honda roadside assistance took over 3-hours to send a tow truck & I am still waiting for them to get a tow truck to her. Between Tempe Honda & Honda Roadside Assistance its a like a CIRCUS between the two. When I bought Honda I thought I was going to get above average quality & customer service. Extremely disappointed & frustrated with Honda.UPDATE - Efrain w/ Tempe Honda immediately contacted me after my initial post to make things right. I appreciate the quick response & action taken to satisfy us, get our vehicle back on the road again, and make sure we were satisfied with their service. Thank you!

I visited the Tempe Honda to get my CRV serviced. The service was efficient and my tech clearly explained everything to me. I highly recommend this location for all your service needs! The inside waiting area is set up like a little café with workstations, so I was able to do my work comfortably while I waited. They even washed my car! Overall it was a great experience.
Great service and communication! Only thing they need to work on is detailing inside and out of the vehicles they sell and they forgot to put the gas lid back on after filling it up. Other than that great service and helpful bringing the price down a little :) Thanks guys

This review is for the service department. The night before my birthday, my battery died so I made an appointment online for early morning. On my birthday I called on my way to check how long it would take. I explained I had to jump start it this morning, and their response was “oh since you mentioned you had to jumpstart, we’ll make sure it’s done by the end of the day”. They told me it would take a minimum of 5-6 hours to complete, and no guarantee it would be done today. All of this with an appointment. The worst part is, they replaced my battery 6 months ago under warranty, and it failed so quick. I went to Firestone just down the street from them on chandler, I was in and out under 15 mins. I was able to continue on the rest of my birthday, thanks to Firestone. Honda’s prices for services changes often, and they always take forever during oil changes. AutoNation Honda is much quicker, but they never have appointment available.
Just picked up a 2019 Civic Hatchback Sport from this dealership.While the sales process was easy enough, the finance manager was a pain to work with to get documentation from that my bank needed.Outside of that the place is great. Really good prices on vehicles too. You can definitely negotiate there too. I did and scored not only a good deal but $400 in free weathertech floormats.
This review is for the service department. I came in to have my spoiler fixed on a 2018 Honda CRV.Ken was my advisor and told me that I would have to have the entire spoiler replaced at a cost of about $650. He mentioned that some bolts were broken and this is the reason the entire thing has the be replaced. That was untrue. Ken never even took the tape off of the spoiler to check what was damaged. There is no way he could’ve known anything about it because the spoiler was never touched.Upon further research, all that needs to be replaced are 7 plastic clips that cost about $70 total. I will never be taking my car here again. Total scam and I’m glad I didn’t pay upfront.
I havent had much experience car shopping but the experiences I have had havent been that great. Until I came to Tempe Honda. Mitch greeted us at the door, we told him what we were looking for and what price we wanted to come in at and made that happen. Other dealerships tried to low ball us on our trade in but they gave me a good offer for my vehicle to take care of my down payment. Overall it was a great experience and I will be returning here for any future car purchases I make.

Lou is THE MAN! I never dreamed I’d be driving an almost new Toyota and Lou made my dreams come true. After going to 4 different places and being pressured into buying junk, I stumbled upon this place. Thankfully Lou was out there to greet me and find me my perfect car. I never would’ve dreamed with my credit score that I would be able to finance such a great car. So many other places told me to dream on and buy a piece of junk instead. I was prepared to be disappointed again, but Tempe Honda made it possible for me to drive home in my perfect car. Lou and Jay were so kind to explain everything to me. I’m telling all my family and friends that Lou can take care of them for a new or used car. I will update in a few months to say how the car is running, but until then I am extremely pleased.

By far the most pleasant car browsing (turned buying) experience weve ever had. Payton was fantastic. He was very friendly, incredibly patient and gave us his full attention while also giving me and my husband plenty of space to think and chat with each other. He didnt hesitate to double check with the experts inside when we had specific questions to make sure we had completely accurate information. He introduced us to his associate, Dan, who had the same relaxed, no pressure demeanor. Dan took the time to give us their best offer without making us feel locked in or pressured and with full transparency of every charge. Being over thinkers, we decided to hit a few other Honda dealers in the area. The experience in all three didnt compare to the quality of customer service or the price that we received at Tempe Honda. We are absolutely delighted with our new Civic and the wonderful service we received. I must say, even the finance man (I apologize for not having his name) was kind, relaxed, and completely transparent. We highly recommend the team at Tempe Honda.
Received amazing service again, this time I needed a battery change. I came in panicked and the service team and auto workers helped to calm me and guide me through the wait and quickly got me up and running again. I believe my advisor was named Jacob, he was very professional and polite and efficient with his work. While I waited I received great service from employees inside, was offered water and every employee made sure I had been helped and was satisfied with the work I received. My experience at Tempe Honda was really great. My wifes Odessey AC compessor broken suddenly in the hot summer. and the car is low mileage since she didnt drive too much during Covid19, but its out of warranty 9 months, the cost to fix the AC was very high. However, David Hudson and his manager help us to send email to Honda America, explain the situation and finally i just spend a little to get everything repaired. they consider a lot for customer. during the repair, shuttle driver Rick picked me, and he is very nice, patient. thank you, Tempe Honda!

The fastest and most friendly service I have EVER experienced. Especially at a dealership. I went in, explained what I needed and they made it happen. I don’t have a lot of money and my credit is not perfect. So typically that factors into the kind service you get, at least in my experience. The actual buying experience at Tempe Honda was really good. I feel that I paid a fair price for a really good car. Both customer agents involved in the sales process were professional, friendly and good to work with. The fifth star is missing only because, once I had made my buying decision, what enhancements that were not included with the car were not disclosed so that I could decide whether or not to add them before the sale was done.I have a current addition! Ive now had the car for 5 months and put (exactly) only 3,500 miles on it. I had to take it in to your store for service yesterday because I got a B 1 7 (needs oil change, brake fluid & tire rotation) notice. THIS MEANS THAT TEMPE HONDA DID NOT INSPECT OR SERVICE THE 2018 CRV BEFORE SELLING IT TO ME! After all, who needs an oil change after only 3,500 miles? I LOVE my car. But must now warn used car buyers to do a thorough vetting BEFORE buying!

I told the financing gentleman that this is my first time buying a car… Which was my mistake. It was also my mistake by not knowing every possible loophole that the dealership will take to screw you. The man who “helped” me finance my car somehow got me to agree, without clear disclosure, on a completely different price than I thought I was signing for. By never showing me the cost of everything extra he was mentioning (not talking about state and local taxes etc.)All I’m saying is $4,000 dollars snuck it’s way into the equation and I didn’t even know it...
I honestly never thought I will be giving 1 star to Tempe Honda. Jakob had been such a stellar representative.. and he went above and beyond for our car deal amidst the shortage just a month ago. Today I went with my roommate based on my amazing past experience but to my shock the new rep is so rude and uninterested and had no intention of selling a car to us. Lou or Big Lou was rude and has been to other people as well . I understand there is a car shortage but there is a way to handle customers. I have bought 3 cars from them and never did I get this kind of experience. He just makes customers feel that they are not worth buying a Honda Civic! Generally if the rep can’t handle the negotiation we get to talk to the manager but this guy wouldn’t even bring the manager or even tell the manager that we are interested.

I’ve been coming to this service dept for years. If I could get David Hudson all the time, I totally would. He would give me the straight dope and would actually do the work I had asked for and would end up paying for. Sadly he’s been unavailable more and more and I’ve been relegated to substandard service reps (I use that term as loose as possible) who charge me for minor services, ignore what I asked them to look at/repair, and only give me a laundry list of stuff to repair on my car, inducing fear and anxiety that my car may explode at any moment if I don’t shill out thousands of $(which I don’t have) to repair those “issues” right away. This last excursion was just for an oil change. $75 and I don’t believe they actually changed my oil because the digital dash lists 40% oil life still, fear inducing “service report” and they didn’t even check my tires(listed in the service report) because one of them went flat today. Rep at discount tire said it was cracked and worn out, the “rep” at Tempe Honda should’ve caught that the week before. Sadly, I’m gonna have to go elsewhere because the risk of coming back to this shop seems equal to the risk of a new shop actually doing what they say they will and what they charge me for.Dave Hudson needs to move onto a better shop or start his own. Don’t let a bad shop tarnish your service record.*****obligatory response from shop mgmt “we are sorry you had this experience, bring your car back so we can discuss how we can help you” translation: being your car back so we can come up with excuses, shift the blame to you, make you look dumb and appear to have no basic automotive knowledge, give you an even bigger list of things to repair on the car and offer what is laughingly referred to as a discount or credit which will equate to pennies coming off the end cost.***** this will appear below.
I was coming in from out of town (6 hours) to shop for a car. I looked at all of the inventories for what I was looking at and settled on a car from Tempe Honda as my first choice. I communicated via e-mail and texting to verify that the car in their online inventory was actually on the lot and available. The sales person, John Miller, said he would check and got back to me the next day to let me know he had it but I’d have to place a deposit to secure it. Since I hadn’t seen this particular color in person, I told him I wanted to see it first and I’d be in the next morning. I texted him that morning to let him know I was 1/2 hour away. I arrived and waited for him to bring the car around only to be told that, “well, we have the car but it’s not actually for sale, it’s our service shuttle. Let me show you __________”. Needless to say, I turned around and walked out. I promptly called the dealership in Peoria. That salesman, Josh, verified that they had the vehicle I was interested in and sent me a photo to show it was there and ready to go. By the time I drove there, it was washed and ready to purchase. No reflection on Honda- I love my Odyssey Limited. Just poor ethics on behalf of an inconsiderate sales person and poor oversight by management.
I got ahold of the dealership online thru their website. When I showed up I was paired with Cody. Very helpful and good guy. When I left I left with exactly what I wanted.

Walked in and stated I needed a car. Bought one from Joel. Everything was done within a few hours. Excellent staff, clean store. Even had hot chocolate... Great car. I’m satisfied and will go again when I’m ready to purchase another car. A+++

Gave my Honda Accord for service. Car was making a knocking sound while in reverse and in slow speed. Other Honda dealer could not find the issue. Tempe Honda found it and fixed it. Also, they found a issue with the engine housing.Now there is no vibration and runs very smooth.Fernando was excellent in dealing with the issue. He didn’t pressurize to fix things. And kept me updated with the repairs.I am happy with the service.

David Hudson is one of the most professional and knowledgeable service providers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. My CR-V was having a couple of issues and David was attentive and was able to fully describe the issue my vehicle was encountering. He solved the problem quickly and fairly and identified that my vehicle problem could be solved with a manufacturer’s warranty, which we greatly appreciated. I now have full confidence my vehicle is operating at 100% because of David. I’m not scared to drive my toddler in the car and know the car is perfectly safe. For peace of mind, I’m going to continue taking my car to the Tempe Honda dealer for servicing needs. If it’s at all possible, I’m going to request David Hudson next time too. We were pleased with the service, but felt uncomfortable with the length of time it took to complete the transaction, both on the day we completed the paperwork and the next day when we delivered the check. Joe was very pleasant and spent a lot of time with us while we waited for paperwork to be done. A cash sale should not take so long.
On Friday, May 22, my grandsons 2016 Civic AC unit was repaired at Tempe Honda. Our Service Rep was Armando Perez. Armando was diligent in going step by step to determine the necessary repairs. Towards the end he really stepped up by contacting American Honda and getting them to participate in some of the repairs. I myself have owned three Hondas (each driven over 10 years), and will consider Honda next time I buy a car.
