Great place. But the name is miss leading. Theres a few ideas for 99cents but otherwise its ok! Just the most expensive 99cents because nothings 99cents. I do have to say. Our customer service representative was personal. She was great with us and others in line. I didnt get her name but shes in the pictures. Shes excellent at her job!

It is a large store but didnt have many customers.

There was a line of ten people and the cashier did not call for assistance when she should have i am a manager and when there are three people in line they are to call for assistance this is a poor store to shop at. NEED TO TRAIN YOUR CASHIERS BETTER

Have been in this store often, and appreciate the extreme value. However, the very cranky lady at the door, standing over in the corner saying here is a cart, while rolling her eyes and upon leaving still standing there, very lethargic, again in a cranky voice saying to people, BRING THE CART OVER HERE, in a sarcastic, cranky voice, is, in our opinion, a terrible greeter, terrible first impression, terrible last impression. The thin, older gal, seemed to be able to walk fine when someone was not coming in or leaving, or people may not have also done eye rolls at her nastiness. Be better to have no one at the door then this cranky gal. What two of us observed would be a great video clip! Evaluate this situation, we were in shortly after 4 PM and left at 4:34 PM. She is a bad fit for a retail store, and certainly a bad fit at the front door. This needs fixed. .

I dont like this chain of stores! The name is inaccurate at best; everything is NOT 99 Cents Only! This particular store had a foul odor, rather like an outhouse in the summer heat. The power went out while I was there and at no point did management or staff address the issue (try to complete existing sales in cash or apologize when they couldnt). Only went in because the location was convenient (next to WalMart), but I will go out of my way to spend my dollars at a Dollar Tree in the future.

I found a great selection of succulents here but not much else in the way of arts and crafts. I went to get like fake moss and little rocks to make a terraium but they had none. Nice location other than that.

Very good experience. I always get a deal on fresh herbs .99 each. And something fun for my toddler. Try the almond milk. Its great in coffee.

Been goin to this 99 for years now. Its no longer 99 cents only but 99 cents & up with the majority being 99 cents only. Its right next to Smallmart (see my other review for that), Culvers, OReillys, across from Frys (also reviewed), Big 5, CVS & Tempe Public Library.You can get lots done on this intersection.The store is huge & they have lots of stuff but not the 1 thing I was looking for, sugar jars! Was actually surprised not to find that here. Great place to go for gift wrapping & craft supplies.Sometimes you can find some pretty neat & brand name stuff here for only a dollar or a little more. I can get in trouble here cause I know if I dont get it right then & there, it might not be there next time!My only complaints are the music is too loud & I would never use the bathroom, its always disgusting. This store has fresh veggies, which I love, and some other goodies. Is clean, is big and if you go early is not crowded. No realities I can get my groceries here, but I know if you go somewhere else and get high end strawberries 2 x5$ still 99cent a package is not bad at all and theyre very good. I like it.

Ok I go there every 2 -3 days. Many stuff for cheap prices but be careful it is expiration date mostly close, check it . Do not buy everything from there you can find more fresh same or close prices to Walmart . Do not miss daily’s produce soda drinks. Brown rices. And everyday use tools.

I didnt know this store had so much stuff. I went in for some food storage bags and walked out with a bubble gun.

Was clean and staff was friendly They were almost out of Halloween stuff.

Love their produce and unusual finds. You never know what finds you will locate in addition to normal staples.

Busy store. Great place to get b-day or special event cards. Nice produce section. One of my favorites for cheap reading glasses.

The closest to ASU. Almost all household items, gifts, and office supplies are available. Quite some variety which is really appreciable. I buy a lot of activity and coloring books for kids from here. Right next to Walmart too, just in case :) I would always suggest thins for quick and cheap grabs in the neighborhood.Recently released a new phone app which has a free item offer and 4$ off 21$ purchase (soon to end). Grab it before its gone.

This outlet carries everything any other 99¢ Only could think to have.Ya know?...I dont know how everybody ELSE wants to handle The Shift but I am ALL IN on the (1.99, 2.99.,,,etc) alternate items. I know it was a while ago (I was still in San Diego) but it mattered to some pretty die-hard shoppers...Oh yeah. This review.It has to be a nightmare to run a huge and happening NNCO during the COVID epidemocracy but these folks are doing it.Everybody is nice, and notably so in the face of some fairly insane client shenanigans.Folks, its really hard to get a 5⭐rating from me, and YOU are competing against other NNCO stores!Are you close?Yes.

I would rate this location 5 stars if they had more cashiers available. I know people are using less staff because of Covid-19 but this location always has long lines for check out and I only ever see one or two cashiers. I love Sara Lee Honey Wheat bread and you definitely cant beat the $1/loaf here vs almost $4 at other stores.

It was neat and clean, even just before closing time. I got there almost before closing, and they didnt pressure me out; just made their announcements. The staff was very polite. They have a large selection, I was able to get most of what I went there to get, as I was limited on my time. I will go back for the rest of what is on my list.

In the last few years the price has gone up on items that used to be 99c such as butter, bacon, eggs and certain candles and toys. It ranges from .99 to 4.99. The price is still good but it is a real dig now. Considering how busy it is the staff is pretty nice. Also, you can find non gmo, organic and/or gluten free items. Just pay attention!

Always got to stock up on my favorite Savitael oatmeal and almonds fabric softener. But I got to tell you I got excited when I seen the sign in the window.👍 Awesome large selectionbut lets just say everything Ends in 99-Cents.$1.99, $2.99, I think I even saw $3.99.You gotta be careful. Dont just start throwing stuff in your cart by the time you get up to the register you may be disappointed.

I used to LOVE shopping at the .99 store! Started noticing some items creeping up in $$$ .... I dont shop here anymore.... Now with so many items priced more or same price as the grocery store. Id rather use a coupon or buy it on sale.....$3.99 for blonde oreo cookies, really? They are on sale at the grocery.

99 Cent Only needs a name change. This store has more stuff priced over 99 cents then the name says. Geez! I was also disappointed to see this chain taking advantage of the covid pandemic and charging 1.99 for rubbing alcohol. 2.99 + for hand sanitizers that were all generic brands. Shame shame shame. Glad to see the shelves were stocked and no one was buying it at these prices. Also despise how this company thinks its customers are stupid and advertises prices at 99.99 cents when what they should say is .9999 Math is the same in all stores!!

Clean aisles and very organized but the homegoods selection is very low quality. Maybe it was a bad batch but I have been shopping at The Dollar Tree for years without issue and this was my first time shopping here.Update 3/15/17: sourdough bread is moldy. Maybe because of the heat and humidity.

Check out line was getting long, opened another check out, gal was fast & efficient. Produce I bought was from the US, that is a plus! Little Gem Sweet Lettuce was a pack of 3 for $1.Bought Easter treats & fun hats for Grandkids. Reach toothbrush 2 pack $1. Reason I did not give 5 stars was parking lot was filled w shopping carts in parking spots so I had to park a little far, fine now when temps are in 80s but not good when we reach over 100 degrees

Yesterday morning the older lady with colored hair sometimes., decided she wanted to humiliate and embarrass my daughter and I in her line yesterday. We didnt get two of our doves because she was Accusing us of I dont know what. She kept saying I know what you guys are doing I know what you guys are doing. I got two doves and my daughter got two doves. It is 2 per person they said. My daughter lives in Chandler I live in Tempe

Always a good store but oddly laid out compared to other 99 Cents Only stores. it does feel more open than most though because the shelves are all only half height. Thus the store feels bigger but probably holds slightly less than average.

Great produce section! Standard dollar store items, with the occasional gem. Halloween is really their time to shine.. The selections get better every year!Not all items are 99 cents, and the store is small and crowded and kind of dirty. The biggest problem is the parking lot... It is a shared space with Wal-Mart and always has several aggressive panhandlers... Its dirty, crowded, and dangerous, so keep your eyes open!I love to do what i call, the 99cent store dinner challenge... Try to make an amazing, homemade dinner from items in the food section... Its easy when they have thimgs like beautiful asparagus for 99cents! I would rate it higher if it felt safer, was cleaner, and had only 99 cent prices.

Its nice to be able to get things for the kids you know theyre going to lose. That way youre only out $1. or so. Store layout makes it fairly easy to find things.

You need to verify that one you get is really a bargain. Once you do you will save. For example Daves Organic bread for $1, $4 or more at the supermarket. Not always there, but worth checking. Decent USB-C cable for $1. Seems to always be available

Absolutely horrible customer service skills including management and I use that term very very loosely went into exchange a phone charger and cord because it did not work and it told it either goes on store credit or exchange even though Ive been to other 99 cent only stores who have no problem doing a refund back onto my card save yourself the hassle like I should have and go elsewhere!!!

The best place to find discounted items. Why spend more elsewhere when its exactly the same. Name brand items as well. The staff are always hard at work.

Always a fun place to visit, and now that they remodeled the place. It looks great, its clean, easy to find your what youre looking for and more. Staff has always been courteous and friendly when Ive visited.

I love the 99cent store. But not everything there is .99 anymore. You couldve gotten 50 items for $50. Now, somethings cost a little more but its still lower priced than most stores. And you can find almost anything (food, household items, cleaning products, automotive, pet care, toys, hygiene, etc...)

Surprisingly well kept for a dollar store! Bright, clean, well organized, and they have plenty of the weird tacky stuff you love to find at a place like this. They have a premium wine section...Im morbidly curious to find out exactly how bad a headache I can get from dollar store wine. Then again, most of it was $4.99, and when you can get it cheaper at Trader Joes without too much worry!

Employees are semi friendly and you have to have someone unlock the bathroom (which isnt usually very easy). Aside from that though, 99 cents only carries some good stuff for a buck. I shop here often.

Was a fan of the 99 cent only stores in the past. Now more and more things are not 99 cents.This is a very large 99 cent only store and even the employs didnt seem to know where things were. I dont want to be judgemental but it was a very interesting clientele as well. People did not seem to respect others there and were just as likely to push a cart in to you as to go around.

BEST 99CTS STORE IN THE USA!!!Im pretty sure I visited this store when I was in Phoenix before, but I mustve just went in for an item or two and left, but today I really shopped in it, and the more I walked thru the aisles, the more I appreciated how neat, spacious, clean and organized it is!! Some of the ones in Texas are nice too but not like this. I now live in San Diego and the ones there are not great at all, theyre like San Diego: crowded and a little messy...and I say that with love....lol! So, Im jealous yall have this store, if I ever live here, this will be my store :-)!

Just as good as any other 99 cent store. But its on the busiest corner Being next you the Walmart is convenient because who didnt love super inexpensive items. But that means theres extra traffic in the shared parking lot. Im surprised theyre arent more accidents. They did cut down on their pet supplies, so no more cheap cat scratchers.

Good selection of items. However some items are now over 99 cents, so watch the prices. Still many great deals.

This place is convenient when I need to sp in for cheap supplies on a project or to pick up decorations for work. The place can get a little trashed sometimes and the is almost always at least a little bit odd a line at checkout, but toy can get some pretty great stuff for only a buck, so it is worth it in the end.

Clean store and well organized compared to other dollar stores in the area.
