Friendly staff and quick service. Way better than home depot if you are looking for advice or knowledge on a particular item you need. Just wish the had as big of a selection as the large stores while keeping the quality of service.

If they hadn’t wasted an hour of my time, I would describe the customer service here as comically terrible. I came in to buy another can of paint, identical to the one that I had bought two days earlier. The guy that helped me couldn’t mix the paint or was having difficulty and needed a manager. I waited around for 10 minutes or so and I was just told the manager was busy. I then said that I would just go to target across the street and to have the paint when I got back.30 minutes later, I can back and the my still hadn’t fixed the problem... or even told me what the problem was. Worse, they hadn’t even let the manager know that I need help. When the manager (Kellie) finally comes up to help me, she is rude and flustered and indignant that I would Even ask for help. She then goes to the computer, messed around with it for 10 minutes and then dismissively tells me that the computer changed and that they can’t mix the color that I want. Again, I bought this exact shade of paint from this exact store only two days ago. She then tells me that I should give her the formula (as if I know it!) or I should come back and find the gentleman that helped me on Tuesday.So, for over an hour, I was is ignored, dismissed, and treated rudely, simply for asking for a can of paint. No communication and any effort to explain the problem or fix the situation. Also, it’s not like the store was popping- this was an hour before close and for the majority of the hour that I was there, I was the only customer in the store.Just unbelievable. Hopefully, I can get this paint from another Ace in Scottsdale or Tempe.(I should add, that when I was there on Tuesday and bought my original can of paint, I was in and out of there in 10 minutes and dealt with an extremely nice and helpful associate. It was so easy and was so pleased with the product, that is the reason I came right back only a few days later.)

Good experience. Very quick in-and-out for a mini propane tank.. Could tell the cashier was a new summer hire. Not a bad thing :) just my 20+ years of retail management says so.

This store is top notch. 3x this week I was not able to find something at the other 2 big stores, but this ACE Hardware came threw and had the item. Its also clean and there is always someone to help me without having to search for someone.

Their selection of nuts and bolts and any other type of fastener you could possibly need is top notch. Even have tiny machine screws like 2mm.

How could this store not have a 5 star rating? They always seem to have that one missing part and each and every employee knows exactly where it is. Also they occasionally give tips to go with those parts if the customer seems the slightest confused. I will give them first crack at my business for most things these days. I used to operate as Lowes then Home Dopot then Ace. I have since switched the order. Ace is the place!

I have liked this store for some time. Today, however, they made me a key copy that didnt work and when I drove back to the store they made me a key that only works when I jiggle it around pretty hard. The original key turns like the lock is buttered.

Everyone here is so helpful and friendly. I have rarely been to a place that was so helpful. I was constantly asked if Ive been helped, unlike other places I went to where I got completely ignored...They even helped us change our key fob battery for free. Im so thankful for these guys. 💙 I cant believe I didnt go to them any sooner. I sure will now. They truly deserve more customers and success.

Phil in hardware is EXCELLENT! I called from Lowes iand Phil was nice enough to confirm they had the right type of bolt and nut I needed for my daughters gymnastics bar. He was very pleasant and helpful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I will not slam them in stars. I am sure they are usually...adequate.Its just that, on this Saturday afternoon, I wasnt ready for the mixture of trainee-of-meek-uncertainty (which is deservingly understood) and warily-dismissive-and-ho-hum-asst-manager (which deserves no understanding at all); together they gave off a weird vibe. The older one acted as if the man whod been dirty-rasslin with their spooked sheep might very well be standing right in front of em. And the trainee just sort of lended her teacher a supportive presence.I dont know why Im giving them southern accents. Theres lamb- diddlers everywhere.

I needed some screws for my license plate, the guy led me to two drawers with like 14 options depending on the vehicle and plate and mounting kit, plus they had the backing for each. I got zinc-coated screws, and they were like 69 cents. Unreal selection and service and knowledge. You dont get help like that at Home Depot. Shop local, places like this Ace are gems.

Looking to help local businesses so came to this ACE and found the owner to be surly and will not go back because of it. I hope his attitude changes bc people will go where theyre treated better. I still bought $50 of stuff because the staff seemed nice & I wanted to support. I dont think anyone can afford to lose a customer right now (and Im a dam- good one) but, glad bc it reminded to make sure I behave better, too! Rude employees no customer service no help this is the 2nd time in the last 2 weeks Ive been to this store with the same results this store needs new employees that actually want to help customers and care about people that come in to the store

It is close and sometimes a quick easy option instead of a busy homedepot or lowes. But I really dont like the place to many incorrect items and returns due to employees giving incorrect information or just not paying attention and messing up.

This neighborhood hardware store has a small supply of some of the basic handyman, home repair and gardening needs. The paint selection is not huge but it will do the trick and the paint tinting service has always done well. Its a great place to get keys done! There is always someone ready to help!

This Ace hardware is the best in the valley. Any questions you have will most likely be answered. Kellie the manager is very sweet and helpful. This is my go to Ace.

Trying to support local businesses. 🤦 A SIX minute phone call only to realize that whoever answered the phone had no idea what a dryer vent cleaner was, and didnt bother to ask someone who did. Screw it....Amazon Prime delivers next day.

I have been going to this ACE for about 6 months now. Very friendly staff and always there for my questions & they always have an answer. Im tired of the big box stores and their lack of customer service. .. that doesnt happen at ACE. They dont hesitate to refer me elsewhere if they dont carry an item. The prices are fair & staff is very knowledgeable! ACE is My Place from now on!!!

Thought I would go to Valley Ace Hardware as it was more convenient than Home Depot or Lowes. After the extremely poor customer service and their highly overpriced merchandise, I will go the extra two miles to have a much better and higher quality selection with better prices plus customer service that always takes great care of their customers. Tried to return an item I found I didnt need. Cashier said she couldnt take it back if it was used. Would never happen at Home Depot or Lowes-both have an excellent return policy.

Certainly, like the jingle, Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man. This Ace, 9ne that has been there for a long time, is excellent on service as well having what you need. They have lots of services, like key making, and rescreening of door and window screens that are very reasonably priced. They are seasonally in tune with their area and give great advise to those that ask and how they have built a strong reputation of trust.

Convenient and close! They pack a lot of services and products in a small store. Very helpful, unlike the big stores. Rented a power snake for a clogged drain. Guy showed me how to use it and helped me load it in my truck. Nice to know Im supporting local business owners, as well!

I entered and was not greeted, I said good morning and I did not get a response. If I wasnt in a hurry I would have shopped elsewhere. Once I was buying what i wad there for, then I got a good morning, but first impressions are everything. 2 stars because the employee in the back did ask me if I needed anything and that they carried what I needed.

I went in with two halves of a twisted, broken key. Several other locations said nothing could be done to make a copy. This location however, employed a man named Dean. Dean saw the twisted, broken wreckage of what was once a sidewinder car key and immediately began attempting to recreate the key. Not only did he make a replica, but he made one that worked better than the one I originally brought in. How he did it, I may never know, but what I do know is that if I ever have any key needs, this is the place I will invariably go.
