I did Dr. Rohes 8 session CBT last spring. It was very helpful in providing mental control and acceptance of my tinnitus. Recently the tinnitus began to increase in volume. I thought I needed new hearing aids so I made an appointment to talk to Amy. I told her I wanted something similar to my old ones which she called entry level. She programmed a pair that she thought I would like and let me try them for two weeks. They are a big improvement and the price was reasonable. There was no pressure to upgrade to something more expensive that I didnt need. Im happy with the hearing aids and happy with the service.

I went in because of a ringing in my ear after a long rehearsal. Was very concerned. Found this place online.Very knowledgeable, friendly staff. The doctor, Amy, explained a lot to me about my hearing and the technology they use. A basic tone hearing check showed no damage, but a secondary reflective check showed a dip in the frequency range. She assured me not to worry and even gave a referral to an ear specialist in case it got worse. Tinnitus and Hearing does ear molds and sends to Sensophonics in Chicago, whom I have seen before and have a great pair of plugs from. I will be recommending my band mates to go in for checks and molds.

Got custom Ear Plugs made for when I am in loud places like NASCAR Races, Hockey Games, Resturants, Department Stores. A must when you have Hyperacusis and Tinnitus. Ear plugs fit perfectly, are not very noticeable and really do a good job cutting out all the noise. Also got a very complete Hearing Test. I have been to Tinnitus and Hearing Center a lot this past year. I also took an eight week CBT course the Rohe method to help me cope with my awful Tinnitus and Hyperacusis. Which is a work in progress. Dr. Rohe and Dorothy are very thoughtful and go out of there way to help there patients as much as possible. I highly recommend them.

My father has been deaf in his right ear since before I was born. Thanks to this facility my dad now has been fitted with a hearing aid and is on his third week of using it. I have never been so happy to whisper in my life. I will always be thankful for what they have helped happen for him.

Ive been wearing hearing aids for 20 years, and Amy Rohe explained to me things that I did not already know. Kudos!

Today 10/05/18 one of my hearing aides stopped working and I panicked as today is Friday and I knew the office closed at 12:30pm. I took the chance and called Dr. Rohes office at 1:03pm and luckily he himself answered the phone and said they were closed but if I came in right then he would open the door for me. He was able to fix it in less than 5 minutes and explained to me what happened. The filter became saturated, I had just had my hair done and obviously put my hearing aides in too soon. He changed it and it works perfectly now and I asked him if he could change the filter on the other one and he did without hesitation. He is a fantastic doctor. I so appreciate what he did for me. I’m very impressed with the level of care and expertise that Dr. Rohe and his staff have provided in fitting me with my hearing aids, custom ear plugs, and addressing my tinnitus. From the hearing test to thoroughly explaining the process to choosing hearing aids, I didn’t expect to get the degree of attention that I got. I was able to try several hearing aids and choose the one that I was most comfortable with.I’m a gigging musician and amateur recording engineer, so I was pretty particular about getting quality sound. Dr. Rohe allowed for multiple auditions and adjustments, and stuck by me the whole way until I was satisfied - even pairing the hearing aids to my smartphone and showing me the cool app. Now, I’m thrilled with the hearing aids I chose. I developed tinnitus in my left ear for the first time ever after a flight 8 months ago. As a medical professional, this became very traumatic for me personally. I am so glad that I found Dr. Rohe. He has truly unique and excellent program including CBT that will help you immensely. He is genuinely interested and cares deeply for his patients. Since he has experienced tinnitus himself, he has a keen awareness of how debilitating it can be to his patients and can help you better than a psychologist who may be just trained in CBT and not personally familiar with tinnitus. I have improved greatly through my sessions with Dr. Rohe, and hope that other people suffering from tinnitus will somehow find their way to him. My tinnitus came on when I was 31 weeks pregnant. To say it was devastating would be an understatement!!I had panic attacks every day, cried all day, I was depressed and truly thought I would never be happy again.It was the darkest time of my life and the guilt I felt for not being able to be the same wife and mother was overwhelming.I contacted Dr. Rohe out of desperation, is been to other Drs who had no idea how to treat the tinnitus or help me. After suffering with severe tinnitus for almost 18 years, I felt like I was at my wits end. Searching for relief, I begin working with Dr. Alan Rohe, Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Center of Arizona, to retrain my response to the non-stop ringing and hissing. Dr. Rohe has developed an eight-week program for tinnitus patients using principles of Cognitive Brain Training (CBT). Dr. Rohe’s educational program helped me to identify the negative thoughts that I was attaching to my tinnitus.
